Fault diagnosis of interconnection networks is vital to ensuring the reliability and maintenance of multiprocessor systems. Based on graph theory, diagnostic algorithms for solving the problem of fault diagnosis in interconnection networks have been widely studied. As the number of processors in multiprocessor systems has increased in recent years, fault diagnosis algorithms based on graph theory cannot meet the current diagnosis requirements of some interconnection networks, such as t-diagnosable systems. In this paper, we use the evolution diagnosis approach to study fault diagnosis in t-diagnosable systems under the PMC model. First, for a t-diagnosable system G with a syndrome σ , we use a simple centralized algorithm to generate its simplified diagnosis graph G f , which contains all the faulty nodes in G. Based on the graph, we prove that the faulty node set in G is the minimum cover set of G f . Next, we prove that the problem of computing the minimum cover set for G f is equivalent to the problem of computing the optimal solution of a zero-one integer program. Using this result, we propose a novel genetic algorithm to solve the problem of the zero-one integer program. The simulation results show that the diagnostic accuracy of our proposed algorithm is equal to or greater than 96% and that the proposed algorithm outperforms its competitors in terms of diagnostic accuracy, number of iterations and running time. This paper addresses a new multi-level serial closed-loop supply chain (CLSC) model with an integrated formulation of batch deliveries, quality-dependent return rate, random defective rate, rework process, and learning effects. The vendor managed inventory contract has motivated companies to cope with the bullwhip effect and its associated shortages. However, getting precise information on manufacturing/remanufacturing time is a challenge owing to human learning. Accordingly, this paper tries to incorporate the learning effect on the inventory control problem. This is a bridge to fill the gaps in the literature by considering how the learning process affects the production time and system costs in a CLSC problem. Moreover, the mean-standard deviation utility function is used in order to take the random defective rate into account, to minimize mean system costs with respect to the standard deviation. Due to the complexity of the proposed mixed-integer nonlinear programming model, three metaheuristic algorithms named, genetic algorithm, invasive weed optimization algorithm, and moth flame optimization algorithm are used to solve the problem, and Fibonacci algorithm will examine the validity of the applied methods. Two sets of numerical examples in small, medium, and large sizes are presented to illustrate the performance of the algorithms in terms of objective function values and required CPU-time. Afterward, a statistical analysis is utilized in order to evaluate the proposed algorithms. Cloud providers deliver heterogeneous virtual machines to run complicated jobs submitted by users. The task scheduling issue is formulated to a discrete optimization problem which is well-known NP-Hard. This paper presents a hybrid meta-heuristic algorithm based on genetic and thermodynamic simulated annealing algorithms to solve this problem. In the proposed algorithm, the genetic and simulated annealing algorithms have respective global and local search inclinations covering each other's shortcomings. A novel theorem is presented and applied to produce a semi-conducted initial population. In a used genetic algorithm with a global trend, the crossover operator is performed to explore search space. The thermodynamic simulated annealing algorithm is utilized to improve the efficiency, which considers entropy and energy difference concepts in the cooling schedule process. After obtaining a suitable solution, one of the three novel neighbor operators is randomly called to enhance the given solution potentially. In this way, the efficient balance between exploration and exploitation in the search space is achieved. Simulation results prove that the proposed hybrid algorithm has 10.17%, 9.31%, 7.76%, and 8.21% dominance in terms of makespan, schedule length ratio, speedup, and efficiency against other comparative algorithms. Inspired by the collaborative mechanism among biological nervous, endocrine and immune systems, this paper proposes an algorithm of adaptive evolutionary based on biological cooperation (BCAE). This method can solve the dynamic multi-objective optimization problem of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) services to reduce the total service cost and service time. The BCAE algorithm consists of two parts: bottom level and top level. In the bottom level, different Pareto frontiers are obtained by coevolution of multiple subpopulations. In the top level, according to the distance between the service request and the service provider and the unit energy consumption of the service provider, the connection weight sequence is designed, and then the affinity matrix is constructed according to the connection weight sequence. Finally, the multi factor genetic algorithm (MFEA-II) is used to mate and imitate the service providers with different affinity, and the total service cost and total service time of the optimal solution are obtained, which are recorded in the top-level optimal antigen solution set. On the basis of single service strategy and collaborative service strategy, the IIoT services with dynamic requests are studied under different distributions. The obtained simulation results show that the performance of BCAE is better than the performance of the four existing algorithms, especially when solving high-dimensional problems. This paper proposes a modified discrete firefly algorithm (MDFA) to solve the problem of assembly sequence planning. Firstly, to improve the performance of the firefly algorithm (FA), we proposed a MDFA by endowing the fireflies with the capability of changeable visual range. The computing case shows the proposed algorithm is more effective and robust than standard FA, genetic algorithm and particle swarm optimization algorithm. Secondly, a method of how to set parameters for FA and MDFA is proposed. This method is practical in the application of FA to solve discrete problem. Thirdly, to make the sequences more closer to real industrial requirements, a so called process precedence relations (PPR) evaluation function is presented, which not only considering the interference between parts, assembly tools and clamps, but also regarding the assembly order between parts and their reference parts. This paper considers group scheduling problem in hybrid flexible flow shop with sequence-dependent setup times to minimize makespan. Group scheduling problem consists of two levels, namely scheduling of groups and jobs within each group. In order to solve problems with this context, two new metaheuristics based on simulated annealing (SA) and genetic algorithm (GA) are developed. A design procedure is developed to specify and adjust significant parameters for SA- and GA-based metaheuristics. The proposed procedure is based on the response surface methodology and two types of objective function are considered to develop multiple-objective decision making model. For comparing metaheuristics, makespan and elapsed time to obtain it are considered as two response variables representing effectiveness and efficiency of algorithms. Based on obtained results in the aspect of makespan, GA-based metaheuristic is recommended for solving group scheduling problems in hybrid flexible flow shop in all sizes and for elapsed time SA-based metaheuristic has better results. In this paper, hybrid algorithms are developed for the multisource location-allocation problem in continuous space. Three hybrid algorithms are proposed to solve this problem that combine elements of several traditional metaheuristics (genetic algorithm and variable neighborhood search) and local searches to find near-optimal solutions. Many problems from the literature have been solved with these algorithms and the obtained results confirm the robustness of the proposed hybrid algorithms.
