Abstract

The article discusses a study conducted by the authors to determine if computed tomography (CT) dose variation exists in breast cancer localization procedures in Irish radiation therapy (RT) centres and proposes diagnostic reference levels (DRLs) for the procedure. Topics discussed include variation in CT dose between centres, slice thickness for RT centres and proposed DRLs for breast cancer localization.
