In recent years, researchers prepared composite conductive inks with high conductivity, high thermal conductivity, strong stability, and excellent comprehensive mechanical properties by combining carbon-based materials such as graphene and carbon nanotubes with metal-based materials. Through new electronic printing technologies, conductive inks can be used not only to promote the development of integrated circuits but also in various new electronic products. The conductive mechanism and the main types of conductive inks are introduced in this review. The advantages of electronic printing technology for preparing integrated circuits are analyzed. The research progress of fabricating integrated circuits with different electronic printing processes, such as screen printing, gravure printing, flexographic printing, and inkjet printing, are summarized. Laser cleaning is an advanced surface-cleaning technology that can lead to the instant evaporation and stripping of the attachments found on a substrate's surface, such as contaminants, rust, and coatings; it uses a high-energy laser beam to irradiate the components' surface. Compared with common surface-cleaning technologies, laser cleaning has the advantages of precision, efficiency, and controllability. In this paper, the fundamental mechanisms of laser cleaning technology are summarized in detail; these include the laser thermal ablation mechanism, the laser thermal stress mechanism, and the plasma shock wave mechanism. The operational principles, characteristics, and application range of each mechanism are discussed. Their typical applications in industry are outlined according to the differences in the substrate materials used, including metallic materials, nonmetallic materials, and semiconductor elements. This study provides a significant reference and guiding basis for researchers to further explore the fundamental mechanisms of laser cleaning, as well as various aspects of the typical industrial applications of laser cleaning. Inorganic lead halide perovskite is one of the most excellent fluorescent materials, and it plays an essential role in high-definition display and visible light communication (VLC). Its photochromic properties and stability determine the final performance of light-emitting devices. However, efficiently synthesizing perovskite with high quality and stability remains a significant challenge. Here, we develop a facile and environmentally friendly method for preparing high-stability and strong-emission CsPbBr3/Cs4PbBr6 composites using ultrasonication and liquid paraffin. Tuning the contents of liquid paraffin, bright-emission CsPbBr3/Cs4PbBr6 composite powders with a maximum PLQY of 74% were achieved. Thanks to the protection of the Cs4PbBr6 matrix and liquid paraffin, the photostability, thermostability, and polar solvent stability of CsPbBr3/Cs4PbBr6-LP are significantly improved compared to CsPbBr3 quantum dots and CsPbBr3/Cs4PbBr6 composites that were prepared without liquid paraffin. Moreover, the fabricated CsPbBr3/Cs4PbBr6-LP-based WLEDs show excellent luminescent performance with a power efficiency of 129.5 lm/W and a wide color gamut, with 121% of the NTSC and 94% of the Rec. 2020, demonstrating a promising candidate for displays. In addition, the CsPbBr3/Cs4PbBr6-LP-based WLEDs were also demonstrated in a VLC system. The steel structures of coastal engineering in the moist tropics and subtropics are always under a C5/CX level corrosion environment with high temperature, high humidity, and high salt fog. Anticorrosive waterborne coatings with high weatherability and reliability are urgently to be developed. In this work, one kind of waterborne heavy-duty anticorrosive coatings, with the advantages of excellent corrosion resistance, self-repairing ability, self-cleaning ability, and high film compactness, was successfully achieved through modifying the side chains on the surface morphologies of the spherical nanoscale titania. The micromorphology and structure of the coating were characterized by a scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and atomic force microscope (AFM). The anticorrosion characteristics and forming mechanism of the modified nanoscale titania coating were analyzed. The salt spray tests showed that the neutral salt spray resistance time of the modified nanoscale titania coating was 1440 h. Its durability reached the H level and met the design requirements for 15 years of anticorrosion lifetime. The modified nanoscale titania coatings had been large-scale commercially applied at some typical steel structures under an extreme harsh corrosion environment in one coastal thermal power plant. The results showed that no rusting, peeling, or crack phenomena were observed after 3 years of service under different harsh coastal corrosion conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In order to expand the range of pot materials for induction cookers, a kind of sandwich structural composite ceramic panel that consists of an Al2O3 ceramic substrate, magnetic heating interlayer, and ZrO2 ceramic substrate was developed by combining the tape casting process and the screen printing process. In this research, the slurry composition of the functional phase, glass powder, and organic carrier was optimized for preparing the heating interlayer with excellent electromagnetic properties. The influences of the glass powder content and the magnetic layer structure on the thermal shock resistance of the composite ceramic panel were studied. The finite element model of the composite ceramic panel under thermal load was established through ANSYS software. In the range of 0.1–0.3 mm thickness of a magnetic heating interlayer, the temperature field and the macroscopic stress field of the composite ceramic panel were simulated, and the influence of the magnetic layer structure on the thermal stress distribution of the composite ceramic panel was analyzed. The experimental results showed that the magnetic layer had the best quality when the amount of glass powder added was 9 wt%. The ANSYS simulation revealed that the gradient structure of the magnetic layer could reduce the stress between the alumina layer and the magnetic layer from 308 to 192 MPa, which significantly improved the thermal shock resistance of the composite ceramic panel. Therefore, the gradient structure of the magnetic layer could ensure the stability of the composite ceramic panel after five cycles of electromagnetic heating. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Ceramic-Al substrates with co-continuous ceramic and metal phases, which exhibit high thermal conductivity and compatible coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), have been widely investigated through the process of die-casting. In this research, a kind of powder sintering process was proposed for fabricating ceramic-Cu composite substrates with co-continuous phases. Copper fiber (Cuf) has excellent thermal conductivity and large aspect ratio, making it an ideal material to form bridging network structures in the ceramic-Cu composite. To maintain the large aspect ratio of Cuf, and densify the composite substrate, ZnO-SiO2-CaO glass was introduced as a sintering additive. Both Al2O3/glass/Cuf and Al2O3/30glass/Cup composite substrates were hot-pressed at 850 °C under 25 MPa. Experimental results showed that the thermal conductivity of Al2O3/30glass/30Cuf composite substrate was as high as 38.9 W/mK, which was about 6 times that of Al2O3/30glass; in contrast, the thermal conductivity of Al2O3/30glass/30Cup composite substrate was only 25.9 W/mK. Microstructure observation showed that, influenced by hot press and corrosion of molten ZnO-SiO2-CaO glass, the copper fibers were deformed under hot-pressing, and some local melting-like phenomena occurred on the surface of copper fiber at 850 °C under 25 MPa. The molten phase originating from surface of Cuf welded the overlapping node of copper fibers during cooling process. Finally, the interconnecting metal bridging in ceramic matrix was formed and behaved as a rapid heat-dissipating channel, which is similar to substrates prepared through die-casting process by porous ceramic and melted Al. Steel structures located in subtropical marine climates face harsh conditions such as strong sunlight and heavy rain, and they are extremely corroded. In this study, a waterborne coating with excellent corrosion resistance, hydrophobic ability, high-temperature resistance and high density was successfully prepared by using modified nanoscale titania powders and grafted polymers. The effects of three modifiers on titania nanoparticles and waterborne coatings' properties were studied independently. The experimental results showed that the activation index of the modification employing methacryloxy silane reached 97.5%, which achieved the best modification effect at 64.4 °C for 43.3 min. The waterborne coating with nanoscale titania modified by methacryloxy silane exhibited the best hydrophobic effect, with a drop contact angle of 115.4° and excellent heat resistance of up to 317.2 °C. The application of the waterborne modified coating in steel structures under subtropical maritime climates showed that the waterborne titania coatings demonstrated excellent resistance to corrosion, high temperatures and harsh sunlight, with a maximum service life of up to five years. Economic analysis indicated that, considering a conservative three-year effective lifespan, this coating could save more than 50% in cost compared with conventional industrial coatings. Finally, the strengthening mechanism of the polymer coatings with modified nanoscale titania was analyzed.
