Purpose: "The purpose of this paper is to review the literature on service innovation during the past two decades and provide an analysis of sources of publication, citations and authorship using bibliometric analysis techniques (VOSviewer)." This paper aims to assesses the important trends, enhance the academic debate, identify research gaps and propose future directions and a research agenda. Design/methodology/approach: This paper examines 176 articles in English language published from 2002 to 2022 from the Scopus database by adopting the bibliometric technique using VOSviewer software. This paper analyzes the different levels and boundaries of service innovation using bibliometric analysis of "service innovation research" using VOSviewer software. The methodology analyzes the number of citations, co-citations, keywords, authors, journals and countries. Findings: The review of the past 20 years indicates a substantial growth in the number of good research publications on service innovation. The UK, the USA, Sweden and Australia dominate this research area with the most articles published to date under the subject area of "Business management." The review highlighted that most of the studies on service innovation focused on products, companies and processes in the services industry. The most critical factors behind service innovation failure are improper management and lack of knowledge. The citation analysis revealed various research implications and directions for the future. Research limitations/implications: This study focuses only on service innovation and excludes research on performance management and control. Thus, future studies may explore this area of research in future studies. Only research articles were analyzed; conference papers, reports, manuals and white papers from practice were excluded. Research implications indicate that future studies on service innovation would be essential for organizational excellence, not process excellence. Originality/value: This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the current status and essential trends of research on service innovation. Purpose: Despite its importance, the literature on women financial inclusion (WFI) remains fragmented due to the absence of a comprehensive review that consolidates the intellectual structure of the field. This paper examines the intellectual structure of the topic and gives a complete overview of the research undertaken so far in the field. Design/methodology/approach: A bibliometric study of 235 Scopus-indexed publications, including citation analysis, keyword network analysis, co-authorship analysis and reference co-citation analysis using VOSviewer was performed. Findings: The study identified major contributors to the field (the most prolific author was Ghosh, S.), the leading journals in the field (the World Development), the geographical locations where research in the field is concentrated (India is the leading country) and the organisations focussing on green consumer research (leading organisation: The World Bank, USA). In addition, four significant themes that describe the body of information about women's financial inclusion were found. Originality/value: This study provides policymakers and academic scholars with fresh insights at a higher level into this burgeoning topic. Such insights would aid in the development of initiatives to address women's financial inclusion concerns. Purpose: The brand crisis literature remains unilateral and scattered, necessitating academic effort to comprehend the extant body of knowledge. This study aims to provide the required comprehensive overview of the domain, by outlining its significance, progression and future research directions. Design/methodology/approach: Following the PRISMA approach, journal articles for review are selected. The study uses a hybrid (structured and bibliometric) review, to provide a systematic insight and graphical visualization of the existing literature. It applies VOSviewer software to analyse bibliographic data through citation and co-occurrence analysis. Findings: The hybrid review outlines most-cited articles, authors, frequently used theories, methodologies and data analysis techniques in this domain. Findings are further presented as integrative framework that distinctly highlights prior studies from a dichotomous perspective and across three stages of crisis. Finally, research opportunities and directions for future research are presented. Research limitations/implications: The study is useful for scholars and practitioners to understand the brand crisis literature and to cognize the inferences drawn by distinct researchers. It provides contemporary research agendas using the theory, context and method (TCM) framework, to augment future investigations through interdisciplinary approach. Originality/value: To the best of our knowledge this is the first study that synthesizes the academic work of brand crisis using a hybrid method. Also, the novelty of the work lies in presenting the future research direction in the form of multiple (macro, meso and micro) levels with inter-disciplinary theoretical underpinnings. Purpose: This study explores the concept of "talent agility" since its inception using bibliometric analysis and paves the way for future research agenda in the field of business and management. Design/methodology/approach: The articles were retrieved from the Scopus database comprising 67 publications from 2001 to September 2020. This study has applied bibliometric techniques such as citation analysis, co-citation analysis, bibliographic coupling, co-authorship analysis, and co-occurrence keyword analysis. Findings: The bibliometric analysis reveals the publication trends, most influential authors, articles, journals, countries, and important keywords. Subsequently, it presents the network connections among them in the field of talent agility. It identified emerging research diversifications in the literature on talent agility. Research limitations/implications: The limitation of this study is the extraction of research articles from a single database, i.e. Scopus. This study provides insights to the researchers and practitioners on comprehensive understandings of the emerging concept "talent agility", an overview of the publication trends, emerging research themes identified in the clusters, and suggests possible directions for further study. Purpose: This study aims to map the major research constituents and trends for the Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing (JBIM) during its 34-year history (1986–2019). It also identifies JBIM's thematic structure and the key factors affecting the impact of its articles. Design/methodology/approach: The Scopus database is used to identify the bibliographic data of JBIM. The most prolific authors, institutions and countries in the journal are analyzed through weighted distributions of articles. The thematic structure of the journal is evaluated by means of bibliographic coupling analysis. The study also examines the factors influencing citations of JBIM articles through regression modeling. Findings: JBIM publishes contributions from around the world, though the most prolific contributors are affiliated with the USA, UK and Finland. Thematic analysis divided JBIM articles into five major themes. Citation analysis reveals that article age, special issue appearance, number of author keywords and number of references are prominent factors explaining an article's impact. Research limitations/implications: This study uses data from the Scopus database, and limitations of the database have implications for the findings. Purpose The purpose of this paper is to organize and connect past research from different servitization-related scholarly communities.Design/methodology/approach This study reviews more than 1,000 articles by combining author co-citation and qualitative content analyses.Findings The structure and boundaries of the field are mapped, and the characteristics of the three identified servitization-related communities are assessed qualitatively. These three communities are product-service systems, solution business, and service science. The findings demonstrate that a narrow range of theories and qualitative methods dominate in existing research.Originality/value Through the lens of the sociology of science, this review critically evaluates servitization-related research and offers a list of themes that are considered important to the future development of the field. Regarding future research, the main recommendations are as follows: increasing the use of well-established theories from adjacent mature fields, borrowing ideas from different research communities to stimulate knowledge accumulation within and across communities, and reducing the level of description while increasing the number of confirmatory, quantitative, and longitudinal research designs. Finally, the development of formal structures for socialization (e.g. conferences and special issues) could allow the field to achieve a greater degree of scientific maturity and would influence the direction and pace of the development of servitization-related research. Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to present a method for a structured literature review (SLR). An SLR is a method for examining a corpus of scholarly literature, to develop insights, critical reflections, future research paths and research questions. SLRs are common in scientific disciplines dominated by quantitative approaches, but they can be adapted in accounting studies since quantitative and qualitative approaches are commonly accepted. Design/methodology/approach – A literature review, as a piece of academic writing, must have a logical, planned structure. The authors also argue it requires tests based on qualitative and quantitative methods. Therefore, the authors describe ten steps for developing an SLR. Findings – The SLR method is a way that scholars can stand “on the shoulders of giants” and provide insightful and impactful research that is different to the traditional authorship approaches to literature reviews. Research limitations/implications – Traditional literature reviews can have varied results because of a lack of rigour. SLRs use a process that, through a set of rules, potentially offers less bias and more transparency of the execution and measures and techniques of validation and reliability. Practical implications – SLRs provide an approach that can help academics to discover under-investigated topics and methods, nurturing, therefore, the development of new knowledge areas and research approaches. Originality/value – The paper presents accounting researchers with an opportunity to develop insightful and publishable studies, and also serves as a basis for developing future research agendas in the accounting field. The authors advocate the SLR method especially to higher degree research students and emerging scholars as a way of potentially developing robust and defensible research agendas and questions.
