29. α-pyrone derivatives from the endophytic Fusarium sp. L33 isolated from Dioscorea opposita.

Abstract

Two new α -pyrone derivatives, fusaripyrones C and D (1 and 2), along with six known compounds, namely phomapyrone C (3), fusarilactone A (4), pleospyrone D (5), 5-hydroxy-7-(2′-hydroxypropyl)-2-methyl-chromone (6), phenylacetic acid (7), and p-hydroxyphenylacetic acid (8) were isolated from Fusarium sp. L33, an endophytic fungus isolated from the leaves of Dioscorea opposita. Their structures were elucidated by NMR spectra, HRESIMS, optical rotation experiments and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Compounds 2 , 3 , and 6 were evaluated for their cytotoxic activity against five selected human tumor cell lines. Abstract

Semiconductor chip is the core of the digital economy, has important strategic significance, in recent years, the global semiconductor market size is growing rapidly. At present, the domestic semiconductor industry is still in the late stage relative to the leading enterprises with first-mover advantages, and is in urgent need of rapid and stable development. The international and domestic semiconductor market has been analysed and focuses on the opportunities and challenges currently facing the domestic semiconductor industry. Based on the semiconductor component risk assessment data, the risk value of semiconductor components is modelled and analysed from a microscopic point of view using the CART regression tree method in data mining, and the model accuracy is further verified and improved by XGBoost, which analyses the microscopic influencing factors of semiconductor component risk, and is an important revelation for the construction of a complete semiconductor component risk prediction mechanism in China. Abstract

It is of significance to construct the immunomodulatory and osteogenic microenvironment for three dimension (3D) regeneration of bone tissues. 3D scaffolds, with various chemical composition, macroporous structure and surface characteristics offer a beneficial microenvironment for bone tissue regeneration. However, there is a gap between the well-ordered surface microstructure of bioceramic scaffolds and immune microenvironment for bone regeneration. In this study, a gear-inspired 3D scaffold with well-ordered surface microstructure was successfully prepared through a modified extrusion-based 3D printing strategy for immunomodulation and bone regeneration. The prepared gear-inspired scaffolds could induce M2 phenotype polarization of macrophages and further promoted osteogenic differentiation of bone mesenchymal stem cells in vitro. The subsequent in vivo study demonstrated that the gear-inspired scaffolds were able to attenuate inflammation and further promote new bone formation. 48. Maize Dek51 encodes a DEAD-box RNA helicase essential for pre-rRNA processing and seed development.

Abstract

Pre-rRNA processing is essential to ribosome biosynthesis. However, the processing mechanism is not fully understood in plants. Here, we report a DEAD-box RNA helicase DEK51 that mediates the 3′ end processing of 18S and 5.8S pre-rRNA in maize (Zea mays L.). DEK51 is localized in the nucleolus, and loss of DEK51 arrests maize seed development and blocks the 3′ end processing of 18S and 5.8S pre-rRNA. DEK51 interacts with putative key factors in nuclear RNA exosome-mediated pre-rRNA processing, including ZmMTR4, ZmSMO4, ZmRRP44A, and ZmRRP6L2. This suggests that DEK51 facilitates pre-rRNA processing by interacting with the exosome. Loss of ZmMTR4 function arrests seed development and blocks the 3′ end processing of 18S and 5.8S pre-rRNA, similar to dek51. DEK51 also interacts with endonucleases ZmUTP24 and ZmRCL1, suggesting that it may also be involved in the cleavage at site A2. These results show the critical role of DEK51 in promoting 3′ end processing of pre-rRNA. Abstract

Nitrogen (N) inputs to terrestrial ecosystems are increasing faster than phosphorus (P) inputs, causing N:P imbalances and substantial changes in the diversity and structure of plant, soil microbial, and fauna communities. The responses of the soil micro-food web to N:P imbalances remain unclear but are crucial to understanding the impacts on ecosystem functioning. We investigated the effect of N and P additions on plant communities, edaphic properties, and nematode species diversity and composition, and assessed shifts in soil micro-food web complexity using nematode-based indices and structural equation modeling (SEM) in a nine-year nutrient addition experiment in an alpine meadow on the Tibetan Plateau. We found that N addition decreased the structure index (SI) and enrichment index (EI), indicating that N enrichment led to a simplification of the soil micro-food web. The addition of P alleviated the negative effect of N on soil micro-food web complexity but did not restore nematode community composition. The SEM supported the hypothesis that N addition simplified soil micro-food webs through increases in the N:P ratio and associated reductions in plant species richness, while P addition ameliorated the effect of N by decreasing the soil N:P ratio and increasing plant species richness. Our results highlight the positive effects of plant diversity in maintaining the complexity of the soil micro-food web. Our findings provide information that can be used to guide sustainable management and restoration of grasslands to alleviate the projected effects of future N:P imbalances on the soil micro-food web. However, efforts should be made to avoid nutrient deposition given the observed effects on both plant and nematode communities that could not be restored by alleviating the N:P imbalance through P addition. • Phosphorus alleviates soil micro-food web simplification caused by excess nitrogen. • Nematode community composition remains unrestored despite phosphorus addition. • Plant diversity is crucial for maintaining complex soil micro-food webs. • Modifying nitrogen/phosphorus ratio alone can't fully restore communities.
