The Paper Collection is one of the newest chair designs resulting from the collaboration between the family-owned Northern Italian manufacturer Plank and designers Raul Barbieri and Anna Giuffrida of the Taftville, Connecticut-based furniture manufacturer ICF Group. The Paper Collection is available in side, arm, and swivel options and at bar and kitchen heights. Featuring a tubular, steel-polished chrome frame, the molded seat and back are available in colored laminate, aluminum laminate, and veneer.

All of the pieces in Modem Outdoor's furniture line are made from etectropolished stainless steel; natural-composite-resin-infused paper surfaces; and Forest Stewardship Council — certified Ipe, a Brazilian hardwood that is three times as hard as teak. Three distinct lines comprise the collection, and each is suited for residential, hospitality, or public spaces. The Etra line, with its larger plank style, includes a table, bench, chaise longue, trolley cart, and four chairs; Kenjii, which features smooth slatelike black tops, includes a table, bench, and planter; and Talt with its low-back aesthetic, includes tables, benches, a chair, side table, chaise longue, and trolley cart.

The article presents some tips for selecting ergonomic chairs for the workplace. Purchasing personalized seating does not necessarily mean selecting a different chair model for each individual and task. Instead, products that are versatile and adaptable to specific needs, could be considered. Versatility and adaptability can be provided through such features as adjustable seat and backrest controls or through options and accessories like special backrests, seats, controls, armrests and casters/glides. In addition, modular construction can make it easy to interchange parts, upgrade components, add options and build chairs to fit specific user and work requirements.
