The recirculating system for tilapia aquaculture is an intensive system with very high stocking densities, thus requiring prime water quality and optimal flow rates. The research aims to determine the influence of different interactions between flow rates and stocking densities on the growth and survival of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) in a recirculating system. The research design employs a Complete Randomized Factorial Design (CRFD) with two factors: Flow Rate (D) with two levels, namely D1 = 0.25 liters/second and D 2 = 0.50 liters/second, and Stocking Density (P) with two levels, namely P1 = 100 fish/m3 and P2 = 150 fish/m3. The results indicate that the flow rate factor (D) has no significant effect, while the stocking density factor (P) has a significant effect, and there is no interaction between the factors. The treatment D1P1 (0.25 liters/second and 100 fish/m3) is the optimal treatment, with a survival rate of 99.1%, relative weight gain of 784.56%, and feed conversion ratio of 1.34. Eel (Anguilla bicolor) in the grow-out culture requires good fingerling seeds. Increasing the eel productivity can be done by increasing the stocking density, that should be balanced with good environmental and feed management. This study aimed to analyze the production and business performance of fingerlings in a recirculation system to increase the eel survival and growth rate. The study used a completely randomized design with three different stocking densities, namely 4 g/L (A), 5 g/L (B), and 6 g/L (C). The average weight of each fingerling was 20 ± 4.09 g, that was kept in a 1.5-m3 pond with a recirculation system. Feeding was performed two times a day using commercial feed with probiotic supplementation. The results showed that different stocking densities significantly affected feed conversion ratio, total biomass weight, and coefficient of variance. However, different stocking densities had no significant effect on survival rate, absolute weight growth rate, specific weight growth rate, and condition factor. The C treatment obtained the highest profit with an R/C ratio of 1.20 ± 0.03. The best production and cultivation performance of eel fingerling in a recirculation system with different stocking densities is found in treatment C (6 g/L). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Bonylip barb fish Osteochilus hasselti is traditionally cultivated as a by-product in a polyculture system due to the problem of seed availability. The increase in local market demand for O. hasselti has not been met due to the low productivity of the growers. In an effort to increase the availability of fish seeds, intensification at the nursery stage has the potential to be effective in overcoming the limitations of land and water for cultivation. The aquaponic system can maximize yields through vertical use of space and also overcome water limitations with a recirculation system. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the aquaponics system on the intensification of O. hasselti nursery. The treatment tested was the stocking density of O. hasselti at an initial length of 4.28 ± 0.52 cm and a weight of 0.73 ± 0.29 g as many as 100 ind./m², 150 ind./m², and 200 ind./m² in an aquaponic system with bok choy plants (Brassica rapa subsp. chinensis). Bonylip barb fish nursery for 30 days using aquaponic system showed that the treatment resulted in maximum survival with absolute length growth, feed conversion ratio, coefficient of variation in length and weight which were not significantly different (P>0.05). At densities above 100 ind./ m², the absolute weight growth value and the specific growth rate were higher. Overall, it can be concluded that the aquaponics system can be used for O. hasselti nursery at high stocking densities with the best production performance at a stocking density of 200 ind./m². Maru is an endemic species of the Kapuas river which is currently in a positive state and its demand continues to increase. The optimal density of this fish culture has not been found with a system that is suitable for its habitat, namely recirculation. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal stocking density with a recirculation system on growth performance. The maru seeds used are 7-9 cm in size, with a combination of pellet and magot feed with a 5% feed dose. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 repetitions. Treatment A: Stocking density of 2 birds/liter, Treatment B: 3 birds/liter, treatment C: 4 birds/liter, treatment D (control): 1 head/liter without any recirculation system. Data collection is carried out once every 15 days, while water quality parameter data is carried out 2 times a day, namely in the morning and evening. The growth rate between treatments A and B had a significant value and was significantly different (p<0.05). Where the absolute growth (length and weight) in treatment A was 9.93 cm and 10.02 gr. Followed by treatment B of 6.3 cm and 5.84 g. Treatment B had significant differences from treatments C and D. Where the absolute length and weight growth of treatments C and D were 3.43 cm, 3.9gr, and (3.2 cm, 3.69 gr, respectively). The results of this study indicate that the density of stocking is inversely proportional to the growth in length and weight of maru. Furthermore, the water quality during maintenance is still in the fairly good category, this is the impact of the recirculation system on the waters that can maintain water quality during maintenance.
