Abnormal lysosomal viscosity is closely associated with cancer progression, underscoring the need for bifunctional fluorescent probes and photosensitizers (PSs) that can both monitor viscosity and facilitate imaging‐guided therapy for simultaneous cancer diagnosis and treatment. Despite advances in lysosome‐targeted PSs development, few have demonstrated the ability to generate both Type I and Type II reactive oxygen species (ROS). In this study, we present BTTPA, a lysosome‐targeted fluorescent probe and photosensitizer, designed to integrate cancer diagnosis via viscosity imaging and cancer treatment through photodynamic therapy (PDT). Our findings reveal that BTTPA selectively targets lysosomes, enabling dynamic monitoring of cellular viscosity and distinguishing cancer cells from normal cells. Upon light activation, BTTPA efficiently generates both Type I and Type II ROS. Apoptosis assays further confirm BTTPA's effectiveness in inducing cancer cell apoptosis, highlighting its potential as a powerful tool for cancer diagnosis and therapy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The combination of photothermal and chemodynamic therapy (PTT/CDT) has promising anticancer effect. Nonetheless, the large-scale preparation of multifunctional nanotherapeutics with good water-solubility and biocompatibility using simple methods remains a major challenge. Herein, we prepared multifunctional nanoparticles (Fe–Ba NPs) by combining Fe3+ with baicalin via a simple coordination assisted self-assembly method, as the carbonyl and phenolic hydroxyl groups in baicalin have strong coordination interaction with Fe3+. The obtained NPs exhibit a broad absorption spectrum extending to near-infrared region and have an excellent photothermal conversion efficiency of 91.1 %. In addition, glutathione (GSH), which is highly expressed in tumor, can reduce Fe3+ in Fe–Ba NPs to Fe2+. On the one hand, Fe2+ can further react with H2O2 to generate hydroxy radical, resulting in CDT. Conversely, depletion of GSH in tumors can disrupt redox homeostasis and upregulate CDT-mediated oxidative damage, leading to enhanced CDT effect. By integrating PTT and CDT, Fe–Ba NPs can greatly improve the therapeutic efficacy. This research introduces a strategy for the design and synthesis of multifunctional nanotherapeutic reagents. As a new zero‐dimensional carbon‐based material, carbon dots (CDs) have attracted extensive attention owing to their advantages such as easy preparation and surface modification, good biocompatibility and water solubility, and tunable photochemical properties. CDs have become one of the most promising nanomaterials in the field of fluorescent sensing, bioimaging, and cancer therapy. How to precisely regulate the photochemical properties, especially the absorption, fluorescence, phosphorescence, reactive oxygen species generation, and photothermal conversion of the CDs, is the key to developing highly efficient phototheranostics for cancer treatment. Although many studies on cancer therapy using CDs have been published, no review has focused on the regulation of photochemical properties of CDs for phototheranostic applications. In this review, we summarized the strategies such as the selection of suitable carbon source, heteroatomic doping, optimum reaction conditions, surface modification, and assembly strategy to efficiently regulate the photochemical properties of the CDs to meet the requirements of different practical applications. This review might provide some valuable insight and new ideas for the development of CDs with excellent phototheranostic performance. Oxytetracycline (OTC) is an environmental pollutant caused by the abuse of antibiotics, and its content in water is closely related to human health. Therefore, the development of a simple, rapid, and accurate method to detect OTC has become desirable. In this work, a ratiometric fluorescence probe based on deep red emissive CdTe quantum dots (QDs) modified by mercaptopropionic acid and Eu3+ is developed to accurately and rapidly detect OTC in water. After the addition of OTC, the photoluminescence intensity of CdTe QDs at 698 nm remains almost unchanged, while the peak at 617 nm intensifies within 40 s due to the coordination of Eu3+ with OTC. An excellent linear relationship is present between the photoluminescence intensity ratio of I617/I698 and the concentration of OTC. The limit of detection of the probe towards OCT is 5.4 nM. In addition, the probe shows good selectivity and anti-interference ability for OTC in the presence of other antibiotics, including other antibiotics, ions, and amino acids. In multi-agent cooperative tasks, the presence of heterogeneous agents is familiar. Compared to cooperation among homogeneous agents, collaboration requires considering the best-suited sub-tasks for each agent. However, the operation of multi-agent systems often involves a large amount of complex interaction information, making it more challenging to learn heterogeneous strategies. Related multi-agent reinforcement learning methods sometimes use grouping mechanisms to form smaller cooperative groups or leverage prior domain knowledge to learn strategies for different roles. In contrast, agents should learn deeper role features without relying on additional information. Therefore, we propose QTypeMix, which divides the value decomposition process into homogeneous and heterogeneous stages. QTypeMix learns to extract type features from local historical observations through the TE loss. In addition, we introduce advanced network structures containing attention mechanisms and hypernets to enhance the representation capability and achieve the value decomposition process. Phototherapy, including photodynamic therapy (PDT) and photothermal therapy (PTT), has attracted wide attention in tumor treatment. However, the hypoxic tumor microenvironment and the heat shock proteins produced by tumor cells significantly reduce their efficacy. Developing effective phototherapy agents that have high reactive oxygen species generation efficiency and photothermal conversion efficiency (PCE) while simultaneously utilizing the hypoxic tumor microenvironment is of great importance. Here, a thienothiophene-benzopyran derivative, BTPIC4F-C10 is designed and synthesized, with near-infrared (NIR) absorption and fluorescence. Then the lipid nanoparticles (LipBFCA NPs) which encapsulated BTPIC4F-C10 in a phospholipid bilayer together with hypoxia-activated prodrug banoxanthrone (AQ4N) are constructed for NIR-II fluorescence imaging-guided synergistic PDT/PTT/chemotherapy and immune activation. Under 808 nm laser irradiation, LipBFCA NPs is a high singlet oxygen quantum yield of 20.2% and PCE of 78.8%. With ultra-high photon energy utilization efficiency of 99%, LipBFCA NPs is an excellent phototherapy effect. The hypoxic environment caused by phototherapy can further activate AQ4N to transform into chemically toxic AQ4 radicals to kill tumor cells. Moreover, phototherapy can induce immunogenic cell death, release tumor-associated antigens, and activate immune responses.
