Background The prevalence of overweight and obesity among children and adolescents is continuously rising. As countries have developed several school-based nutrition policies to control overweight and obesity, it is important to examine the effectiveness of nutrition policies. Objective To evaluate the effect of the centralized distribution of food material system on overweight and obesity rates among children and adolescents aged 6-15 years. Methods In April 2023, a total of 104 749 BMI data from sixteen schools aged 6 to 15 years (8 schools were included in the unified food distribution system and recorded as the unified distribution group, and 8 schools were not included in the unified food distribution and supply system and recorded as the non-unified distribution group) in Wuxi were retrospectively collected between 2017 and 2021. The data of physical examination was collected from Student Health Monitoring System in Jiangsu Province. The overweight and obesity epidemiologic trends among children and adolescents were analyzed from 2017 to 2021 in Wuxi, and the changes in BMI-Z scores and trends in overweight and obesity rates among children and adolescents were compared before and after the implementation of the centralized distribution of food material system by the Joinpoint regression and grey GM (1, 1) model. Results The prevalence of overweight and obesity among in children and adolescents aged 6-15 years was increasing from 2017 to 2021. The results of the Joinpoint regression analysis indicated that the prevalence of overweight (APC 1.8% vs 4.6%) and obesity (APC 6.9% vs 13.3%) among students included in the system exhibited a slower rate of increase than among those not included. The disparity in the increase of BMI-Z scores among students included in the system and those not included changed from -0.055 (95%CI=-0.108--0.002) to -0.195 (95%CI=-0.246--0.145) before and after the implementation of the system. The results of grey GM (1, 1) model showed that the incidence rate of overweight among children and adolescents in Wuxi in 2022, 2023 and 2024 was 22.02%, 22.39% and 22.77% respectively, with the incidence rate of overweight being 17.02%, 18.50% and 20.12% respectively. Conclusion The increasing trend in the prevalence of overweight and obesity, as well as the increase in BMI-Z scores among children and adolescents, has slowed down after the implementation of the centralized distribution of food material system. The system may be an effective method of improving the nutritional status of children and adolescents. Therefore, it is recommended that the centralized distribution of food material system still needs to be implemented and the monitoring area needs to be expanded.

Background and aims: With existing literature focusing on general quality of life, the magnitude and impact of depression among recipients after liver transplantation (LT) is unclear. Hence, we aim to evaluate the prevalence, risk factors, and outcomes for recipient-related depression after LT. Methods: Medline and Embase were searched. Single-arm analysis was pooled using the generalized linear mixed model, and logistic regression was performed to analyze risk factors. Pairwise comparative meta-analysis in odds ratio was conducted for binary outcomes. Results: Of 1069 abstracts, 189 articles underwent full-text review before the inclusion of 48 articles. Pooled depression rate among 5170 recipients was 24.52% (confidence interval [CI]: 19.46%–30.41%). Depression was most prevalent in Asia compared with other geographical regions. Younger age at transplantation (P = .019) and university education (P = .051) were protective against depression. However, those transplanted for alcoholic liver disease (odds ratio: 1.14, CI: 1.10–1.18, P ≤ 0.001) were more likely to be depressed. Depression resulted in increased odds of mortality (odds ratio: 1.82, CI: 1.08–3.07, P = .04), graft loss (P = .03), and graft rejection (P = .01). Conclusion: Depression is highly prevalent after LT and may be associated with increased mortality and poorer graft outcomes. More emphasis is needed on the screening of depression among higher risk recipients.

IntroductionCoagulation is involved in fibroproliferative responses following acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Left ventricular (LV) remodeling following AMI is closely associated with progression to heart failure. This study aims to assess the association between plasma tissue factor activity and LV remodeling in post-AMI patients.MethodsWe studied 228 patients with AMI and 57 healthy subjects. Patients with AMI were categorized into two age- and sex-matched groups: patients with adverse LV remodeling or reverse LV remodeling, defined by an increase or decrease, respectively, in LV end systolic volume by ≥15% over 6 months. TF activity was measured in plasma collected at baseline (within 72 hours of revascularization), 1 month and 6 months post-AMI. The Mesozoic and Cenozoic tectonic magmatic activity in the Lhasa block has always been one of the research hotspots in the basic geology of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau. There are many Cenozoic, especially Miocene magmatic rocks developed in the western part of the Lhasa block. This article takes the newly discovered Miocene granite in the Anglonggangri area of the western Lhasa block as the research object, and explores its rock types, rock genesis, and tectonic background. The Miocene granites in the Anglonggangri area are composed of fine-grained muscovite monzonitic granite and medium-fine-grained monzonitic granite, with a small amount of dark inclusions developed internally. The zircon U-Pb age of fine-grained muscovite monzonitic granite is 9.95±0.14 Ma, and the zircon U-Pb age of medium-fine-grained monzonitic granite is 10.68±0.2 Ma, both from the Miocene. Both of them have the characteristics of high silicon (SiO2 = 72.35% ~ 74.74%), rich potassium (K2O/Na2O = 1.15 ~? 1.45, all greater than 1), high aluminum (Al2O3 = 14.35% ~ 14.83%), and weak peraluminum peraluminum (A/CNK= 1.08 ~ 1.14). The number of CIPW corundum molecules is greater than 1%. The differentiation of light and heavy rare earth elements is very obvious, with a moderate negative Eu anomaly, enriched in large ion litho-phile elements such as Rb, Th, K, and depleted in high field strength elements such as Nb, relatively enriched in high field strength elements such as Hf and Zr, Sr, Ba, P, Ti, etc. These characteristics indicate that it is a high potassium calcium alkaline series of peraluminous S-type granite. Both of them have relatively low Sr, high Sr/Y, La/Yb ratios, and extremely low Y and Yb contents. The granite in the research area originated from a thickened lower crustal environment and underwent a certain degree of magma mixing. Based on the comprehensive regional research results, the formation of Miocene granites in the Anglonggangri area may be related to the northward sub-duction of the Indian plate into the north Lhasa block, where plate tearing occurred and high-temperature astheno-sphere material flowed through the plate fragments, causing partial melting of the lower crust. Background and study aims Evidence from recent trials comparing conventional endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) to underwater EMR (UEMR) have matured. However, studies comparing UEMR to endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) are lacking. Hence, we sought to conduct a comprehensive network meta-analysis to compare the efficacy of UEMR, ESD, and EMR. Methods Embase and Medline databases were searched from inception to December 2020 for articles comparing UEMR with EMR and ESD. Outcomes of interest included rates of en bloc and complete polyp resection, risk of perforation and bleeding, and local recurrence. The recent discovery of superconductivity in infinite-layer nickelates generates tremendous research endeavors, but the ground state of their parent compounds is still under debate. Here, we report experimental evidence for the dominant role of Kondo scattering in the underdoped Nd1−xSrxNiO2 thin films. A resistivity minimum associated with logarithmic temperature dependence in both longitudinal and Hall resistivities are observed in the underdoped Nd1−xSrxNiO2 samples before the superconducting transition. At lower temperatures down to 0.04 K, the resistivities become saturated, following the prediction of the Kondo model. A linear scaling behavior |$\sigma _{{\boldsymbol{xy}}}^{{{\bf AHE}}}{\rm{\ }}\sim{\rm{\ }}{\sigma }_{{\boldsymbol{xx}}}$| between anomalous Hall conductivity |$\sigma _{{\boldsymbol{xy}}}^{{\bf{AHE}}}$| and conductivity |${\sigma }_{{\boldsymbol{xx}}}{\rm{\ }}$| is revealed, verifying the dominant Kondo scattering at low temperature. The effect of weak (anti-)localization is found to be secondary. Our experiments can help in clarifying the basic physics in the underdoped Nd1−xSrxNiO2 infinite-layer thin films.
