Most Far Eastern rice varieties are heavily affected by blast, so breeding of resistant samples is of great necessity. The purpose of the current study was to estimate and select androgenic doubled rice haploids Oryza sativa L. with an immune to the rice blast pathogen Pyricularia oryzae CaV. There has been estimated productivity of 36 androgenic lines of doubled rice haploids DH1, identified from seven F1 hybrids under the area vegetation conditions. Thirty-three of them have had resistance alleles of the genes of the Pi family. There has been determined resistance of nine DH1 at an artificial infectious background when inoculating rice plants by spraying with an aqueous suspension of conidia P. oryzae. The study was carried out during two vegetation periods in the FSBSI FSC of Agricultural Biotechnology of the Far East names after A. K. Chaika. There have been identified fifteen lines of doubled rice haploids O. sativa with a pyramid of blast resistance genes, corresponding to the control variety ‘Dolinny’ according to its productivity. Over two years of study, mean grain weight per main panicle ranged from 1.4–2.2 g, grain weight per plant was from 1.5 to 2.0 g, and 1000-grain weight exceeded 27 g. There was a negative effect of the 239 bp allele of the Pi-2 gene individually or in combination with the resistance allele of the Pi-1 gene on the immunity of Far Eastern rice varieties. Individually, the Pi-z and Pi-ta2 genes or a pyramid with their participation provide a stable type of reaction of the DH lines and the variety ‘Dolinny’ to the Primorsky isolates of P. oryza with a mean damage rate from 1.7 to 2.6 points. All lines of doubled haploids were characterized by late-maturity and are of interest in the breeding process as parental forms in hybridization with early maturing varieties O. sativa of the Far Eastern breeding.

γ9δ2T cells fill a distinct niche in human immunity due to the unique physiology of the phosphoantigen-reactive γ9δ2TCR. Here, we highlight reproducible TCRδ complementarity-determining region 3 (CDR3δ) repertoire patterns associated with γ9δ2T cell proliferation and phenotype, thus providing evidence for the role of the CDR3δ in modulating in vivo T-cell responses. Features that determine γ9δ2TCR binding affinity and reactivity to the phosphoantigen-induced ligand in vitro appear to similarly underpin in vivo clonotypic expansion and differentiation. Likewise, we identify a CDR3δ bias in the γ9δ2T cell natural killer receptor (NKR) landscape. While expression of the inhibitory receptor CD94/NKG2A is skewed toward cells bearing putative high-affinity TCRs, the activating receptor NKG2D is expressed independently of the phosphoantigen-sensing determinants, suggesting a higher net NKR activating signal in T cells with TCRs of low affinity. This study establishes consistent repertoire–phenotype associations and justifies stratification for the T-cell phenotype in future research on γ9δ2TCR repertoire dynamics.

The paper presents the results of a two-year experiment on fungicide Deposit, muE (1.0 l/t and 1.2 l/t) and its combinations with fungicide Optimo, EC (0.5 l/ha). The experiment was conducted in the south of the Russian Far East in 2021-2022. The first step was a phytophathological inspection of the seeds treated with the fungicide in the laboratory conditions. Deposit was noted to have an antibacterial and antifungal effect. A rhizotron was used for further experimental work to observe the growth and development of soybean plants. It was established that Deposit did not have a negative effect on the crop and facilitated a slight increase in plant weight. The last step of the research was field plot experiments aimed at studying the efficacy of the fungicides against root rot and leaf and stalk diseases of soybean. Deposit was observed to inhibit root rots damaging the crop. At the stage BBCH 62, the fungicide decreased the intensity of infection progression by 11.0% (1.0 l/t) and 15.6% (1.2 l/t). Deposit and Optimo had a high antipathogenic activity against leaf and stalk diseases of soybean. It was established that the fungicides and their combinations were effective against Septoria blight (22.1-35.5%), Cercospora leaf blight (29.7-70.4%), and Ascochyta blight (20.4-58.4%). Additionally, they increased the thousand kernel weight (TKW) and soybean yield.

In the complex interplay between inflammation and graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) after allogeneic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT), viral reactivations are often observed and cause substantial morbidity and mortality. As toxicity after allo-HSCT within the context of viral reactivations is mainly driven by αβ T cells, we describe that by delaying αβ T cell reconstitution through defined transplantation techniques, we can harvest the full potential of early reconstituting γδ T cells to control viral reactivations. We summarize evidence of how the γδ T cell repertoire is shaped by CMV and EBV reactivations after allo-HSCT, and their potential role in controlling the most important, but not all, viral reactivations. As most γδ T cells recognize their targets in an MHC-independent manner, γδ T cells not only have the potential to control viral reactivations but also to impact the underlying hematological malignancies. We also highlight the recently re-discovered ability to recognize classical HLA-molecules through a γδ T cell receptor, which also surprisingly do not associate with GVHD. Finally, we discuss the therapeutic potential of γδ T cells and their receptors within and outside the context of allo-HSCT, as well as the opportunities and challenges for developers and for payers.
