In contrast to cemented soils in terrestrial natural environments, cemented soils in littoral and marine geotechnical engineering face numerous difficulties. In coastal and marine geotechnical engineering, cemented soils are frequently degraded by ion erosion, tidal scouring, and temperature variations. Long-term marine environments present numerous challenges for cemented soil foundation projects. In marine geotechnical engineering, addressing and enhancing these degradation issues has become a crucial topic. To address this engineering problem, Nano-SiO2 is added to cement-stabilized soils to enhance their engineering performance. To investigate the mechanical effects and erosion mechanisms of Nano-SiO2 cemented soil subjected to chloride ion erosion and tidal alternation scouring, laboratory experiments, including immersion erosion tests with sodium chloride solution and dry-wet cycle tests, were designed. On specimens subjected to dry-wet cycles after chloride ion erosion at varying concentrations, unconfined compressive strength tests (UCS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) experiments, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were performed. The objective was to investigate the impact of chloride ions and Nano-SiO2 on the microstructure and strength of cemented soil. Adding 2.5% Nano-SiO2 can promote cement hydration reactions while preventing the entry of chloride ions into the cemented soil, thereby increasing the density and compressive strength of the cement. Forest gaps alter the environmental conditions of forest microclimates and significantly affect the biogeochemical cycle of forest ecosystems. This study examined how forest gaps and non-gap areas affect soil's physical properties and eco-stoichiometric characteristics. Relevant theories and methods were employed to analyze the impact of forest gaps on nutrient cycling in Pinus densiflora Sieb. (PDS) and Robinia pseudoacacia L. (RPL) forests located in the Taishan Mountains. The results revealed that (1) forest gaps significantly enhanced the soil physical properties of PDS and RPL forests compared to non-gap areas (NPs). Notably, the bulk density of the soil decreased by 53%–12%, particularly in the surface layer (0–20 cm). Additionally, its non-capillary porosity increased by 44%–65%, while the clay and silt content rose by 39%–152% and 24%–130%, respectively. Conversely, the sand content decreased significantly, by 24%–32% (p < 0.05). (2) The contents of C, N, and P in the gap soil of PDS forests showed a significant increase compared to those in non-gap soil, with increases of 56%–131% for carbon, 107%–1523% for nitrogen, and 100%–155% for phosphorus. There was a significant drop of 10%–33% and 39%–41% in their C:N and C:P ratios, respectively (p < 0.05). The contents of C and P in the gap soil of the Robinia pseudo acacia L. Forest increased significantly, by 14%–22% and 34.4%–71%, respectively. Its C:P and N:P ratios significantly increased, by 14% to 404% and 11% to 41%, respectively (p < 0.05). (3) Compared with NPs, the forest gap significantly reduced the soil electrical conductivity and increased the soil pH. Additionally, compared to the soil at the gap's edge, the surface soil in the gap's center had noticeably higher concentrations of C, N, and P. (4) Key variables affecting the soil pH, silt content, bulk density, and overall porosity in forest gaps include the concentrations of carbon (C), nitrogen (N), and phosphorus (P) present and their ecological stoichiometric ratios. The findings showed that forest gaps had a considerable impact on the soil's physical characteristics and ecological stoichiometry. The average salinity of seawater is 3.5%, with a significant presence of corrosive ions, primarily Cl− and SO42−. In contrast to cement engineering in terrestrial natural environments, cement-reinforced structures exposed to corrosive marine environments not only endure ion erosion but also undergo periodic desiccation due to tidal variations in seawater. The coupling of these effects results in a reduction in the mechanical properties of cemented soil, inevitably leading to the degradation of cemented foundations, posing a serious threat to their safety and normal functionality. Investigating the improvement of the mechanical properties of cemented soil in corrosive coastal environments is a crucial engineering challenge in current coastal construction projects. To address this engineering challenge, this study proposes the use of Nano-SiO2 to enhance the mechanical characteristics of cemented soil, aiming to improve the strength and durability of cement-reinforced structures. Simulating the main corrosive ions in seawater by using different concentrations of SO42− ions, the study subjected cemented soil samples to dry–wet cycles to simulate the desiccation caused by tidal changes in seawater. Unconfined compressive strength tests were conducted on cemented soil and nano-cemented soil samples under coupled conditions, revealing that the incorporation of Nano-SiO2 increased the strength of cemented soil and slowed down the corrosion rate. With an ion concentration of 12.3 g/L, after 60 dry and wet cycles, the compressive strength of nano-cemented soil increased by 90% compared to conventional cemented soil, with a mass loss only half that of conventional cemented soil. XRD, SEM, and NMR tests on various cemented soil samples indicated that the addition of Nano-SiO2 filled small pores, suppressed pore development, and interacted with cement hydration products, forming a gel-like structure that improved the compactness of cemented soil. Exploring the causal relationships of diseases with genes, proteins, CpG sites, metabolites and other diseases is fundamental to the life sciences. However, large-scale research using Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis is currently lacking. To address this, we introduce DMRdb (http://www.inbirg.com/DMRdb/), a disease-centric Mendelian randomization database, designed to systematically assess causal relationships of diseases with genes, proteins, CpG sites, metabolites and other diseases. The database consists of three main components: (i) 6640 high-quality disease genome-wide association studies (GWASs) from public sources that were subjected to rigorous quality filtering and standardization; (ii) over 497 billion results from MR analyses involving 6640 disease GWAS datasets, 16 238 expression quantitative trait loci (eQTLs) data, 2564 protein quantitative trait loci (pQTLs) data, 12 000 methylation quantitative trait locus (meQTLs) data and 825 metabolites data and (iii) over 380 000 causal relationship pairs from 1223 literature sources relevant to MR analyses. A user-friendly online database was developed to allow users to query, search, and download all the results.
