Background: Considering the values and preferences of individuals who attempt to quit smoking is a crucial step in the development of smoking cessation technologies. This study aimed to explore preferences regarding smart smoking cessation technologies. Methods: This parallel convergent mixed-methods study was conducted in two phases: quantitative and qualitative. In the quantitative phase, a cross-sectional study was conducted with 360 participants selected through stratified random sampling from technology-based smoking cessation clinics in Tabriz, Tehran, and Karaj cities in Iran. Data on demographic characteristics and preferences for smart smoking cessation technologies were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics. In the qualitative phase, 25 users of these technologies were selected through purposeful and snowball sampling. The data were gathered through in-depth semistructured interviews and analyzed using qualitative content analysis with a conventional approach. Quantitative and qualitative data were integrated using the merging strategy and convergence model. Results: The quantitative phase results indicated that the highest preference was related to wearing and using a smartwatch for smoking cessation and using mobile apps. In the qualitative phase, 17 subcategories were extracted and classified into 8 main categories: high effectiveness, better management of the smoking cessation process, personalized technology, safe and uncomplicated technologies, attractiveness and innovative design, scientific basis, mobile applications, and smart monitoring devices. Conclusion: By combining and integrating quantitative and qualitative results, it can be concluded that users are more interested in wearable technologies and interactive mobile applications. The findings of this study can assist smoking cessation technology developers in designing and improving their tools based on user needs and preferences to enhance their effectiveness and acceptability. Aim: The current study aimed to systematically review the data obtained from studies on women with breast and gynaecologic cancers subjected to Intimate Partner Violence (IPV). Design: Systematic review without meta‐analysis. Data sources PubMed, ProQuest, Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science; databases were searched without time limit. Review method: The PRISMA model was guided the systematic literature search using Boolean keywords and operators. PICO statement was used to develop a question of this review. Studies examining women with breast and gynaecologic cancers subjected to IPV were included in the study after the quality of the articles was reviewed. Results: Eight studies that met the inclusion criteria and were conducted between 2000 and 2021 were included in the study. Conclusions: Studies confirm the effect of IPV on the severity and consequences of breast and gynaecologic cancers. Having a history of IPV can indirectly lead to breast and gynaecologic cancers. On the other hand, women suffering from IPV are more likely than other women to delay screening or not perform screening for cancer. Impact The dimensions and nature of violence and the disclosure or non‐disclosure of violence in vulnerable women are strongly affected by society's culture. Therefore, researchers need to have sufficient knowledge of the culture and social factors governing the community to achieve reliable findings related to IPV in qualitative, quantitative, and psychometric studies and the design of IPV assessment tools. It is recommended that IPV screening teams, that is, multidisciplinary teams of trained physicians, nurses and social workers, participate in two‐way screening programmes: IPV screening for women with gynaecological cancer and screening for gynaecological cancer in women with IPV. Objectives: This study aims to identify the primary factors influencing health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in patients with colorectal cancer (CRC), hypothesising that specific patient characteristics and clinical factors significantly impact HRQoL., Design: This was a cross-sectional study conducted over 1 month, from 1 April 2022 to 1 May 2022., Setting: The study was conducted in five hospitals in the northwest region of Iran, focusing on outpatient chemotherapy services., Participants: A total of 251 patients diagnosed with colon and rectal cancer participated in the study. Inclusion criteria included a confirmed diagnosis by an oncologist, ability to communicate, willingness to participate and being aware of their diagnosis and treatment. Exclusion criteria were the presence of other chronic diseases, cognitive disorders, known mental disorders and unwillingness to participate., Interventions: No interventions were applied as this was an observational study., Primary and Secondary Outcome Measures: The primary outcome was the HRQoL of patients with CRC, measured using a standardised SF-36 (36-Item Short Form Health Survey) questionnaire. Secondary outcomes included the impact of demographic and clinical factors on HRQoL., Results: The total score of HRQoL in these patients is 47.22±16.78, which indicates that HRQoL is disturbed in these patients. Also, the results of the stepwise multiple regression revealed that among all the participants' characteristics considered, seven factors: not having another disease besides cancer (p<0.001, β: 12.91, 95% CI 8.40, 17.42), only receiving chemotherapy (p<0.001, β: 9.10, 95% CI 4.12, 14.09), not having colostomy (p<0.001, β: 10.27, 95% Cl 5.70, 14.84), female sex (p=0.046, β: -4.52, 95% Cl -8.95, -0.08), living in their own house (p=0.001, β: 11.25, 95% Cl 4.77, 17.73), living in city (p=0.002, 17.74, 95% Cl 6.51, 28.96) and finally not having a job (p=0.003, β: -7.47, 95% Cl -12.31, -2.63), including are the factors that have the most predictive power in HRQoL., Conclusions: The findings of this study encourage health service providers and planners to pay special attention to the characteristics of patients with CRC as identified in this study. Notably, several HRQoL scores in patients with CRC are low, and the study found that patient characteristics, such as the presence of colostomy, unemployment, female gender and comorbidities, significantly predict the overall HRQoL score.
