Self-healing coatings mainly include externally assisted self-healing coatings based on the addition of repair agent and intrinsic selfhealing coatings based on reversible bond crosslinking polymers.The intrinsic self-healing coatings have attracted extensive attention due to their multiple repairable properties.In this paper，the self-healing technology based on crosslinking polymers containing reversible covalent bonds such as reversible imine bond，reversible disulfide bond，reversible Diels-Alder reaction and reversible urea bond，as well as the selfhealing mechanism，performance characteristics and difficulties of supramolecular crosslinked polymers based on reversible non-covalent bonds such as hydrogen bond，metal-ligand coordination bond and π - π stacking were discussed in detail.Besides，the application of self-healing technology based on reversible crosslinking polymers in coatings was also discussed.

Riemerella anatipestifer is an important pathogen in waterfowl, and is generally multidrug resistant. This study assessed the current status of Riemerella anatipestifer antibiotic resistance and antibiotic-resistance genes (ARGs), compared the results of different detection methods, and evaluated a new method of studying the association between antibiotic resistance and ARGs in Riemerella anatipestifer. In this study, 51 strains of Riemerella anatipestifer were isolated from ducks on several farms, their resistance to 28 antibiotics was assessed, and the isolates were subjected to whole-genome sequencing. The number of ARGs carried by Riemerella anatipestifer was predicted, compared, and analyzed, and the consistency between ARGs and antibiotic-resistance phenotypes was assessed. The potential for loss of resistance genes during the sequencing and assembly of genome-wide framework map was assessed, and a new ARG detection method was pilot tested. The 51 strains of Riemerella anatipestifer were multidrug resistant (MDR) and had high level of resistance to aminoglycosides, trimethoprim, lincosamides, polypeptides, and macrolides. Based on the genome-wide framework map of the 51 strains, 3 local databases of ABRicate software and 1 online database of CARD website were used to detect ARGs, and a mean of 4 to 5 ARGs were identified per isolate. Although the detection results differed according to the database used, the general performance was consistent. The online website detected more types of ARGs than the ABRicate software. The association between ARGs and antibiotic-resistance phenotypes was assessed, and the ermF gene was identified as a possible key ARGs regulating macrolide resistance of Riemerella anatipestifer. The method used to investigate and detect Riemerella anatipestifer ARGs was convenient and rapid, and had strong accuracy and pertinence. The ARGs detection method reported here combined the advantages of PCR and genome detection, and could greatly reduce workload and detect ARGs more precisely.

ABSTRACT In recent years, there has been a gradual increase in the prevalence of drug-resistant bacteria, primarily attributed to the widespread use of antibiotics. This has resulted in heightened mortality rates, morbidity, and exorbitant healthcare costs associated with antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections. In order to mitigate the spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, environmental disinfection plays a crucial role. Ultraviolet radiation C (UVC) light disinfection has emerged as a potent technique to limit the transmission of nosocomial pathogens and prevent healthcare-associated infections. Different types of high-touch surfaces were used. A serial disinfected experiment with different 222 nm UVC dosages was conducted on clinically isolated antibiotic-resistant bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus species (VRE), carbapenem-resistant Escherichia coli (CREC), carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumonia (CRKP), carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB), and carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (CRPA) on different material surfaces. The bactericidal efficacy was evaluated by The Clinical & Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) guidelines. 222 nm UVC irradiation had a potent bactericidal efficacy on clinical antibiotic-resistant bacteria on different high-touch surfaces that are commonly found in the environment and healthcare facilities. 222 nm UVC irradiation time was tested from 10 s to 1 h. Different surfaces affect the efficiency of 222 nm UVC. The more adsorptive a material is, the higher the dosage of 222 nm UVC irradiation energy is required for effective disinfection. The use of 222 nm UVC lamps for disinfection on different materials has been shown to be a useful method. However, it is crucial to pay attention to the energy required for effective sterilization.IMPORTANCEThis study is crucial, providing compelling evidence on Far-ultraviolet radiation C (Far-UVC) light’s efficacy against clinically significant antibiotic-resistant bacteria—a pressing issue in microbiology and infection control. Our research employs antibiotic-resistant strains from clinically isolated bacteria, emphasizing real-world relevance. Simultaneously, we assess Far-UVC light (222 nm) across diverse material surfaces commonly found in clinical settings. This dual approach ensures practical applicability and broad relevance. Our comprehensive setup and rigorous methodologies unequivocally demonstrate Far-UVC light’s potency in combating antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Since 222 nm far-UVC has a disinfection capability and is harmless to mammalian cells, this dual effectiveness positions Far-UVC as a secure tool for infection control, with potential applications in healthcare settings, mitigating antibiotic-resistant bacteria spread, and reducing healthcare-associated infections.
