Abstract

In a competitive business environment, companies must carefully evaluate a range of complex factors to select suppliers that align with operational requirements and market demands. This study employs the Analytic Network Process (ANP) to identify and prioritize critical criteria for supplier selection, including halal certification, quality, sustainability, cost, delivery, flexibility, responsiveness, and technical capabilities. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with supply chain managers and questionnaire-based surveys, integrating qualitative and quantitative insights. The ANP model was used to analyze the interdependence between these criteria, revealing that quality ranks highest (0.331), followed by halal certification (0.231) and cost (0.157). These findings highlight the priority given to maintaining high product quality and strict adherence to halal standards over short-term cost considerations. Supporting factors such as delivery, flexibility, responsiveness, technical capabilities, and sustainability were also evaluated for their roles in maintaining an efficient supply chain and meeting international logistics requirements. The structured ANP framework provides practical insights for halal instant food manufacturers, enabling them to optimize supply chain management and align with regulatory standards, market demands, and sustainability objectives. 6. The puzzle of how higher education learning does in post-COVID-19 pandemic

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has exhibited a significant impact on higher education learning. Campus closure or social distancing has been handled by University management, in limited or emergency situations. However, the pandemic has also provided extraordinary lessons learned for the sustainability of higher education in Indonesia. During the post-pandemic period, online learning or blended patterns can be carried out enthusiastically. This paper emphasizes that post-pandemic learning should be strengthened by an evaluation process and a level of satisfaction. The quality assurance mechanism is carried out systematically, especially ensuring the evaluation of online learning and taking continuous improvement actions. The evaluation process is complemented by a customer satisfaction survey involving students, lecturers, and admin staff to ensure the mechanism meets standards. Students should get a favorable atmosphere to involve in learning with the support of adequate lecturer competence, communicative tutorials, easy-to-understand online platforms, and proper class management.JEL Classification D80; I18; I23

7. Artificial intelligence and socioeconomic perspective in Indonesia

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has begun to penetrate various social and economic activities in Indonesia. During the pandemic, social distancing activities were able to accelerate the application of AI, and promptly became a safety valve and economic driver in various sector. However, attention to AI implementation opens up space for intensive discourse. AI as a technological element also has social and economic impacts, especially social, economic and political inequality. In the midst of obtaining positive economic benefits, innovation excellence and efficiency, AI in Indonesia still faces problems with agricultural workforce (38.7 million people), ethical and legal aspects, and organizational culture. Solutions from a social and economic perspective anticipating AI include (i) affirmative policies aimed at empowering and increasing the productivity of agricultural workers, (ii) collaboration between IT experts and business practitioners, social science experts and legal practitioners to ensure AI works within a safety and legality framework; and (iii) building an organizational culture in business and public sector management to run a business that meets sustainability principles.JEL Classification J00; K20; O38

9. How social capacity maintains social distancing in the efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19: evidence from Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to investigate social distancing compliance and its relationship to social capacity and socio-economic factors in the efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19. Google Forms online survey was conducted on 449 respondents to explore socio-economic variables and their responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. The analysis method used a path model to find the relationship between variables and the control of COVID-19. The results show that social distancing compliance is relatively low. Only 30.1% of the respondents stayed at home. The study found that social capacity is displayed within the influence of institutions on social aspects, social distancing, and the control of COVID-19. The social distancing variable also significantly mediates the relationship between the institution variable and COVID-19 control. The moderating effects of educational and institutional variables also show that they significantly influence social distancing.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid -19 menyebabkan dampak ancaman dan penurunan kesehatan dan perekonomian. Pondok Pesantren merupakan salah satu organisai yang terdampak pandemi yakni Pondok Pesantren As-Syifa yang membimbing 59 anak yatim dan dhuafa di Kecamatan Majalaya Kabupaten Bandung. Pondok pesantren yang menjalankan usaha mandiri dalam wadah koperasi pondok pesantren (kopotren) yaitu konveksi baju anak dan remaja sempat mengalami kesulitan karena dampak pandemi. Dosen dan mahasiswa Universitas Islam Nusantarabeserta pondok pesantren melakukan alih usaha untuk secara mandiri mengelola pondoknya. Usaha pembuatan masker dan face shield yang sekaligus menjadi penguatan kontribusi dalam mengatasi sebaran pandemi Covid -19 nyata telah memberikan hasil, Dengan penghasilan dari usaha ini selama 1 tahun pondemi pondok pesantren tetap berkecukupan dan mandiri.
