Background. The article is devoted to the topic of using artificial intelligence tools in teaching, which is relevant in the conditions of modern political and economic reality. The subject of the analysis is the factors influencing the teacher’s decision to use AI in his work. Purpose. The authors aim, through the analysis of empirical data, to determine the level of awareness of teaching staff with the capabilities of AI tools, as well as to identify the types of teaching staff who use artificial intelligence tools in their professional activities. Methodology. The method of sociological research is an expert survey, the respondents of which were 162 teaching staff. The expert survey was conducted in October-November 2024. Results. The achieved results consist in the creation of an original typology of teaching staff using artificial intelligence tools in their professional activities. Practical implications. The results of the study can be applied in the field of education to formulate goals and objectives for the development and advanced training of teaching staff.
