The Japanese islands were originally included in the Eurasian Continent as part of the southern and northern landmasses. The two landmasses were detached from the continent 18 million years ago. After that, the former was repeatedly connected to the Korean peninsula during glacial periods, but most of the latter was under seawater. Thus, all Japanese amphibians are undoubtedly derived from this nearby continent. However, it is unclear where the amphibians moved during the formation of the Japanese islands. To address the issue, we selected Glandirana rugosa as a representative of Japanese amphibians because this frog is the only species among amphibians in which nucleotide sequences of the mitochondrial genes and sex chromosome evolution have been deeply investigated. Then, we constructed time‐calibrated and RAxML phylogenetic trees based on nucleotide sequences of the mitochondrial genes of the Glandirana frogs in Japan and South Korea. Various sites were used to select SNP data from the Glandirana species and their sex chromosome evolution, and the cladograms we obtained suggest that ancient Glandirana frogs except for one group moved along with the southern landmass, when it was separated from the continent. The movements of the Glandirana frogs in Japan and South Korea obtained as results of this study will help scientists to understand the geographical changes that took place during the formation of the Japanese islands. • UIP cases without honeycombing revealed various CT findings and MDD diagnoses. • The CT pattern of IPF guidelines in UIP cases without honeycombing correlated with MDD diagnosis but not with prognosis. • UIP cases without honeycombing could be classified with CT findings, and these groups were correlated with prognosis. Usual interstitial pneumonia (UIP) cases without honeycombing (possible UIP) included various CT features and was often difficult to diagnose. This study aimed to classify the cases with possible UIP on CT features using cluster analysis and evaluate the features of subsets of participants and the correlation of prognosis. The study included 85 patients with possible UIP in the 2011 idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) guideline with radiological diagnosis. All cases underwent surgical biopsies and were diagnosed by multidisciplinary discussion (MDD) from the nationwide registry in Japan. The readers evaluated pulmonary opacity, nodules, cysts, and predominant distribution which were reclassified by IPF guidelines in 2018. Additionally, cases were classified into four groups by cluster analysis based on CT findings. The differences in survival among IPF classification and the clusters were evaluated. Cases were diagnosed as IPF (n = 55), NSIP (n = 4), unclassifiable (n = 23), and others (n = 3) by MDD. Cluster analysis revealed 4 clusters by CT features (n = 47, 16, 19 and 3, respectively). Cluster 1 had fewer lesions overall. Cluster 2 have many pure ground-glass opacities and ground-glass opacities with reticulation. Cluster 3 had many reticular opacities and nodules with few lower predominant distributions. Cluster 4 was characterized by peribronchovascular consolidation.The mean survival time of cluster 1 (4518 days) was significantly better than cluster 2, 3, and 4 (1843, 2196, and 1814 days, respectively) (p = 0.03). In conclusion, UIP without honeycombing included various CT patterns and MDD diagnoses. Significangly differences in prognosis were observed among clusters classified by CT findings. Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the clinical outcomes of placing Viabahn stent grafts in visceral arterial injuries and identify the risk factors associated with stent graft occlusion., Material and Method: This multicenter, retrospective study included 29 procedures performed on 26 patients who underwent Viabahn stent graft placement between December 2017 and November 2022. We evaluated technical and clinical success rates, periprocedural complications, and stent graft patency using contrast-enhanced computed tomography. We conducted univariate analysis to examine the risk factors associated with Viabahn stent graft occlusion., Result: The technical success rate was 96.6% (28 of 29), and the clinical success rate was 86.2% (25 of 29). The periprocedural complication rate was 17.2% (5 of 29), consisting of 4 mild adverse events and 1 patient death. The stent graft patency rates at 1, 3, 6, 12, and 24 months were 85%, 84.2%, 77.8%, 66.7%, and 50%, respectively. Univariate analysis indicated significant correlations between the lack of antiplatelet medication ( P = .00074) and SG oversize ≥ 20% ( P = .047)., Conclusions: This trial demonstrated the safety and effectiveness of Viabahn stent graft placement for visceral arterial injuries with high patency rates. We report a hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)case with lung metastasis that was successfully treated with transarterial chemoembolization(TACE)and percutaneous radiofrequency ablation(RFA). A man in his 60s took right robe liver resection for HCC after TACE for its rupture. Lung metastasis occurred at S1+2 and S6 in the left lung, and an adverse event interrupted standard molecular target therapies. Because extrahepatic metastasis had been seen only in these two locations for a long time, TACE was performed for both metastases. The feeders for both lesions were each intercostal artery, and controlling the drug inflow was necessary to avoid drug influx into the spinal cord branches when S6 metastasis was treated. The viable lesion remained in the S6 lesion, so RFA was added for both lung metastases. 100% tumor necrosis has been observed since the RFA.
