The purpose of this study was to determine and describe the effectiveness of using Edpuzzle media on the learning outcomes of listening to German students in class XI MIPA SMAN 8 Makassar. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design (non-equivalent control group design). The population of this research is the students of class XI MIPA SMAN 8 Makassar. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIPA 3 as the experimental class and students of class XI MIPA 4 as the control class which were selected randomly (random sampling). This research is a qualitative study that aims to find out how the implementation of thetudang sipulung culture as group communication in foreign language learning. The researchwas organized in the Foreign Language educational Department Program at the Faculty ofLanguages and Literatures, Makassar State University, and data were collected throughparticipatory observation in teaching and learning foreign languages. The research data wereanalyzed using Miles and Huberman model data analysis. The analysis consists of four mainstages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation (data display), and conclusiondrawing /verification. The study results showed that the culture of the tudang sipulung asgroup communication is one of the methods that can be applied in learning foreign languages.This culture can be used as one of the procedures during the learning process in which it is theprimary method and part of learning models. The cultural implementation of the tudangsipulung as group communication has four main elements: interaction, time, number ofmembers, and goals. In addition, this culture also adopts primary, secondary, linear, andcircular communication patterns in its application. The Tudang sipulung culture also hasseveral benefits, such as establishing social relations, channeling ideas, thoughts, andsuggestions, improving critical thinking skills, developing mutual respect, making decisions,plans or activities, solving problems, and producing solutions to the problems discussed andincreasing knowledge.Keywords: the culture of tudang sipulung, group communication, forign language learning

This research is a quantitative descriptive study that aims to determine the level of students' writing skills in simple sentences. The population in this study were students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Makassar, totaling 360 students from 12 classes. The sample of this research is the students of class XI MIPA 1 SMAN 1 Makassar, totaling 30 students with random sampling. The research data was obtained through a simple sentence writing skill test and a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the percentage technique. The results of the study of students' writing skills in simple sentences were in the very good category (91%). The results of the questionnaire from students' opinions stated that it was important in practicing German writing skills (76.7%) as an external factor.

This research is class action research consist of two cycles and is performed virtually. The aim of this research is to get information about the planning, the process and the result of using Sprachblasen on comic media in German speaking skills of student from XI MAN 1 Makassar. The data are qualitative and quantitative. The qualitative data are collected through the observations and the quantitative data through the result of speaking tests in the first and second cycles and analyzed through the percentage technique. The result of this research shows that the students' speaking skills is 70 in the first cycle and in the second cycle is 78. It means the students in class XI MAN 1 Makassar by using Sprachblasen on the comic media has increased the German speaking skills (8%)

This research was a classroom action research which consisted of two cycles and was conducted online. This study was aimed to determine the improvement of German vocabularies mastery of Nine Senior High School Makassar’s Students Grade X MIA by using Kahoot media. The data in this study consisted of two types of data, including qualitative data and quantitative data. Qualitative data was obtained through observation, while quantitative data was obtained through the results of the first and second cycles of vocabularies mastery tests. The data were analyzed using the percentage technique. The results showed that the mastery of German vocabularies’ average score which obtained by the students in the first cycle reached 65% and the second cycle reached 85%. These results indicated that the use of Kahoot media could improve the mastery of German vocabularies of Nine Senior High School Makassar’s Students Grade X MIA
