Existing line segment detectors break perceptually contiguous linear structures into multiple line segments. This can be offset by re-merging the segments, but existing merging algorithms over-merge and produce globally incorrect segments. Geometric cues are necessary but not sufficient for deciding whether to merge two segments or not. By restricting the result of any merging decision to have underlying image support, we reduce over-merging and globally incorrect segments. We propose a novel measure for evaluating merged segments based on line segment Hausdorff distance. On images from YorkUrbanDB, we show that our algorithm improves both qualitative and quantitative results obtained from four existing line segment detection methods and is better than two existing line segment merging methods. Our method does not suffer from inconsistent results produced by four recent deep learning-based models. The aim of this paper is to introduce two new subclasses R sin m (ℑ) and R sin (ℑ) of analytic functions by making use of subordination involving the sine function and the modified sigmoid activation function ℑ (v) = 2 1 + e − v , v ≥ 0 in the open unit disc E. Our purpose is to obtain some initial coefficients, Fekete–Szego problems, and upper bounds for the third- and fourth-order Hankel determinants for the functions belonging to these two classes. Cotton is the main cash crop and back bone of agriculture. However, its yield is decreasing due to insect pests attack. Among them, sucking insect pests are serious problem in cotton and various agricultural crops. Hence, present research work was executed to assess the toxicity of some synthetic insecticides against Thrips tabaci in cotton crop. The research trial was executed with varied planting geometry under different irrigation regimes. Sowing of the cotton crop was done with plant to plant distance of 30 and 60 cm while row to row distance was 4 ft. apart. The plants were irrigated under single lateral and double lateral arrangements of drip irrigation while control plot was irrigated through conventional surface irrigation method. Results of relative incidence of thrips population on different irrigation plots showed that highest thrips population (19.43/plant) was noted in case of flood irrigated plot having plant to plant distance of 30 cm followed by in double lateral drip irrigation plot (15/plant) and single lateral plot (13.10 thrips/plant). Comparatively lower mean thrips population values; 16.30, 12.40 and 10.56 thrips/plant, respectively were recorded in experimental plot under 60 cm plant to plant distance. Toxicity bioassays revealed that highest reduction (75.27%) was recorded in spinetoram while lowest thrips population reduction (28.18%) was recorded in case of spinosad. It can be concluded that spinetoram can be effective tool for efficient control of thrips leading to augmentation in cotton crop yield. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In mathematical analysis, the q-analogue of a function refers to a modified version of the function that is derived from q-series expansions. This paper is focused on the q-analogue of the exponential function and investigates a class of convex functions associated with it. The main objective is to derive precise inequalities that bound the coefficients of these convex functions. In this research, the initial coefficient bounds, Fekete–Szegő problem, second and third Hankel determinant have been determined. Many researchers have defined the q-analogous of differential and integral operators for analytic functions using the concept of quantum calculus in the geometric function theory. In this study, we conduct a comprehensive investigation to identify the uses of the Sălăgean q-differential operator for meromorphic multivalent functions. Many features of functions that belong to geometrically defined classes have been extensively studied using differential operators based on q-calculus operator theory. In this research, we extended the idea of the q-analogous of the Sălăgean differential operator for meromorphic multivalent functions using the fundamental ideas of q-calculus. With the help of this operator, we extend the family of Janowski functions by adding two new subclasses of meromorphic q-starlike and meromorphic multivalent q-starlike functions. We discover significant findings for these new classes, including the radius of starlikeness, partial sums, distortion theorems, and coefficient estimates. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
