For the first time, Frankincense resin (FR) has been carboxymethylated to produce CMFR - AuNPs and the conjugate was utilized for the Doxorubicin drug loading. The carboxymethylation of the carboxylic, phenolic, and hydroxyl functional groups of FR has been developed into carboxymethylated Frankincense resin (CMFR). A novel CMFR-AuNPs was synthesized using the developed CMFR as a stabilizing and reducing agent. The antibacterial, antioxidant, and in-vitro anticancer activities were investigated by using CMFR-AuNPs and CMFR - AuNPs@DOX. CMFR-AuNPs demonstrated antioxidative properties by quenching DPPH radicals effectively. CMFR-AuNPs and DOX@CMFR-AuNPs demonstrated strong antibacterial activity against K. pneumoniae, S. aureus, B. subtilis, and E. coli. The cell viability was tested for CMFR -AuNPs at various concentrations of Dox-loaded CMFR -AuNPs (CMFR-AuNPs + Dox1, CMFR-AuNPs + Dox 2, & CMFR-AuNPs + Dox 3). The highest inhibition was observed on MCF-7 and HeLa cell lines using CMFR-AuNPs + Dox 3, respectively. Various techniques such as UV, FTIR, TGA, XRD, SEM, EDAX and TEM were used to characterize the designed CMFR and CMFR-AuNPs. After carboxy methylation, the amorphous nature of FR changed to crystallinity, as reflected in the XRD spectra. The XRD spectrum of the CMFR- AuNPs showed FCC structure due to the involvement of hydroxyl and carboxylic functional groups of CMFR strongly bound with the AuNPs. TGA results revealed that the CMFR is thermally more stable than FR. TEM revealed that CMFR - AuNPs were well dispersed, spherical, and hexagonal with an average diameter of 7 to 10 nm, while the size of doxorubicin loaded (DOX@CMFR-AuNPs) AuNPs was 11 to 13 nm. Herein, we present a novel microwave-assisted method for the synthesis of palladium nanoparticles (PdNPs) supported by Limonia acidissima Groff tree extract gum. The synthesized PdNPs were characterized using various analytical techniques, including FTIR, SEM, TEM, UV-visible, and powder XRD analyses. TEM and XRD analysis confirmed that the synthesized LAG-PdNPs are highly crystalline nature spherical shapes with an average size diameter of 7-9 nm. We employed these gum-capped PdNPs to investigate their peroxidase-like activity for colorimetric detection of hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ) and glucose. The oxidation of 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) by H 2 O 2 , catalyzed by PdNPs, produces oxidation products quantified at 652 nm using spectrophotometry. The catalytic activity of PdNPs was optimized with respect to temperature and pH. In this study, novel adsorbents were developed by functionalizing multiwalled carbon nanotubes with frankincense (Fr-fMWCNT) and adding iron oxide (Fe 3 O 4 ) to the adsorbent (Fr-fMWCNT-Fe 3 O 4 ). The morphology, surface characteristics, and chemical nature of the synthesized samples were analyzed by using various characterization techniques. The prepared adsorbents were then applied for the elimination of the toxic dye, crystal violet (CV), from water-based solutions by employing a batch adsorption method. The effectiveness of materials for the adsorption of CV was investigated by tuning various effective experimental parameters (adsorbent dosage, dye quantity, pH, and contact time). In order to derive adsorption isotherms, the Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption models were investigated and compared. The Fr-fMWCNT and Fr-fMWCNT-Fe 3 O 4 were found to remove 85 and 95% of the CV dye within 30 min of the adsorption experiment at pH 6, respectively. It was found that a pseudo-second-order reaction rate was consistent with the experimental adsorption kinetics. The equilibrium data demonstrated that the Langmuir model adequately explained the adsorption behavior of the CV dye on the Fr-fMWCNT and Fr-fMWCNT-Fe 3 O 4 surfaces, respectively. According to the Langmuir study, the highest adsorption capacities of the dye are 434 mg/g for Fr-fMWCNT and 500 mg/g for Fr-fMWCNT-Fe 3 O 4 . Remediation of the CV dye using our novel composite materials has not been reported previously in the literature. Purpose: This study highlights trends in available physician assistant (PA) applicant and matriculant data over the first 15 years of the Central Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA) service (2002-2016). This study expands knowledge identified in the CASPA 10-year data report., Methods: This was a retrospective analysis of CASPA data from all CASPA-participating PA programs between 2002 and 2016. Central Application Service for Physician Assistants staff verified all applicant academic information. In addition, beginning in 2007, the online CASPA admissions portal linked matriculant data with applicant data., Results: During the first 15 years of the CASPA service, there was a 194% increase in the number of CASPA-participating programs (from 68 to 200) and a 409% increase in the number of total applicants. Climate change poses significant challenges to global mental health, with potential consequences including increased rates of suicide and mental health disorders. Early Career Psychiatrists (ECPs) play a crucial role in addressing these challenges. The Climate Psychiatry Alliance, a group of psychiatrists dedicated to improving mental health amidst climate change, recognizes the importance of cultivating climate-aware ECPs. Training ECPs to become confident climate-aware clinicians enables them to effectively treat patients experiencing anxiety, depression, and PTSD in the context of climate-related distress. Together with other mental health professionals, ECPs can contribute to efforts by implementing strategies for monitoring and treating mental health problems arising from climate events. Additionally, they can raise awareness about the psychological consequences and risks of suicide associated with climate change. Collaboration among ECPs from various regions is essential in developing community-based approaches and reducing vulnerabilities. ECPs must prioritize supporting vulnerable populations by advocating for increased funding for mental health support and research in affected areas. Long-term solutions to address the mental health impacts of climate change and global warming should be pursued to mitigate future suicidality. Integrating climate considerations into local mental health programs and expanding psychological support services is crucial. Using data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Web-based Injury Statistics Query and Reporting System, we analyzed trends in firearm suicide across the life course, comparing age-related trends over time (2015-20 versus 1999-2014) and stratified by differences in state firearm policy environments. Overall, we found stable trends in firearm suicide rates across the life course, although with higher overall rates across all age groups in 2015-20 versus in 1999-2014. Ages 14-16 was the only age group with an accelerating life-course trend in firearm suicide rates in 2015-20 versus in 1999-2014. The state policy environment was associated with significant differences in firearm suicide, with an average of 4.62 more deaths per 100,000 people per year in states with less- versus more-strict environments. This was in contrast to nonfirearm suicides, for which we observed no consistent differences between states. The largest overall differences in firearm suicide between states occurred in adulthood through middle age. These findings can inform further research on health care-based approaches to reducing firearm suicide, such as health care screening for firearm ownership, screening for suicide risk among firearm owners, and motivational interviewing to promote safe firearm storage.

Aquatic pollution, which includes organic debris and heavy metals, is a severe issue for living things. Copper pollution is hazardous to people, and there is a need to develop effective methods for eliminating it from the environment. To address this issue, a novel adsorbent composed of frankincense-modified multi-walled carbon nanotubes (Fr-MMWCNTs) and Fe 3 O 4 [Fr-MWCNT-Fe 3 O 4 ] was created and subjected to characterization. Batch adsorption tests showed that Fr-MWCNT-Fe 3 O 4 had a maximum adsorption capacity of 250 mg/g at 308 K and could efficiently remove Cu 2+ ions over a pH range of 6 to 8. The adsorption process followed the pseudo-second-order and Langmuir models, and its thermodynamics were identified as endothermic. Functional groups on the surface of modified MWCNTs improved their adsorption capacity, and a rise in temperature increased the adsorption efficiency. These results highlight the Fr-MWCNT-Fe 3 O 4 composites' potential as an efficient adsorbent for removing Cu 2+ ions from untreated natural water sources.

Purpose: The physician assistant (PA) literature has focused on the implications of creating an entry-level doctoral degree; however, there is scant primary literature on postprofessional doctorates, which are becoming more popular as the number of institutions offering them increases. The purposes of this project were to: (1) describe interest and motivation of currently practicing PAs to enroll in a postprofessional doctorate program and (2) identify the most- and least-preferred attributes of a postprofessional doctorate program., Methods: This was a quantitative cross-sectional survey of recent alumni from one institution. Measures included interest in obtaining a postprofessional doctorate, a nonrandomized Best-Worst Scaling (BWS) exercise, and motivators for enrolling in a postprofessional doctorate. The main outcome of interest was the BWS standardized score for each attribute., Results: The research team received 172 eligible responses (n = 172, response rate = 25.83%). Results indicate that 47.67% of respondents (n = 82) expressed interest in a postprofessional doctorate. The most preferred doctorate program attribute was a clinically based program, ending with a residency, conferring a Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) degree, with a hybrid course delivery., Discussion: This sample included various interests, motivations, and preferred program attributes. Surges of technology use along with limited interpersonal interactions have led to the amplification and dissemination of false information during the COVID-19 pandemic. Infodemic refers to an overabundance of information that may have increased burden of covid-19 pandemic and mental disorder. Given the rise of suicide behavior during the pandemic, infodemic has been considered as a risk of suicidal behavior. We report a facile microwave-assisted synthesis of palladium nanoparticles (PdNPs) using Bael gum (BG) and it's carboxymethylated (CMBG) derivative. The prepared nanoparticles (BG@PdNPs and CMBG@PdNPs) were evaluated for antibacterial and catalytic activity in the reduction of organic dye pollutants. The developed synthetic method is simple, low cost and eco-friendly, wherein the process requires no additional reducing or capping agents. The CMBG was prepared via etherification reaction between BG and monochloroacetic acid using Williamson synthesis method. The PdNPs were synthesized using BG and CMBG as stabilizers and reducing agents. The PdNPs were found to be well dispersed spherical, with the crystalline size of the order of 7-21 nm. The results showed that the CMBG@PdNPs were smaller in size (7 ± 2 nm) than those capped with BG@PdNPs (10 ± 2 nm). The catalytic ability of CMBG@PdNPs was examined for the reduction of Methyl Orange (MO), Methyl Red(MR), and Rhodamine-B (RhB) in the presence of NaBH 4 . The results showed that CMBG@PdNPs exhibited a higher catalytic ability than BG@PdNPs. Moreover, it was found that CMBG@PdNPs served several times as a retrievable and reusable catalyst which is stable even after six cycles of reaction. The CMBG@PdNPs and BG@PdNPs showed excellent antibacterial activity.
