Given the multidimensional nature of e-participation, current studies in this field are fragmented, under-theorized, and dispersed. Understanding the primary issues under investigation is challenging, particularly for early career researchers. Despite citizens’ widespread use of e-government services, government agencies still face several challenges, particularly in providing feedback on the quality and effectiveness of these services. The existing challenges related to e-government services and citizens’ e-participation provide avenues for important research opportunities. Accordingly, the purpose of this systematic review is to (i) determine the problems and obstacles faced by citizens’ e-participation as end users of e-government services, (ii) determine the multidisciplinary elements that contribute to the success of e-participation in e-government services, and (iii) propose future research avenues. Following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, this systematic review is conducted by combining two methods: Kitchenham & Charters and Webster & Watson, focusing on studies from the period between 2010 and 2022. The findings show that while existing research models are helpful, their primary focus is on technical and political factors. Hence, a focus on psychological and social aspects is necessary, which could assist in providing a sound understanding of users’ experiences of using the different e-participation tools set by governments. This review provides a comprehensive synthesis of global e-participation challenges and success factors and presents a theoretical basis for future research endeavours.

The production line is an important part of most manufacturing industries. However, the services in the devices may experience some issues that disrupt the production line, requiring the assistance of an IT technician to resolve the problem. Therefore, this study seeks to bridge the gap through the design and development of a PowerShell Script to allow the user to remote control the services in a device such as computers and servers. Using this program, the production operator can solve the issue immediately rather than wait for an IT technician, thus increasing productivity and performance. The program design and development followed the Rational Unified Process (RUP) methodology. First, the functional requirements were collected through interviews and content analysis. Later, a prototype called Remote Restart Services System (RRS) is developed using PowerShell programming language on the Windows PowerShell ISE platform. An evaluation was later conducted to assess its usability. The findings suggested that RRS is practical and easy-to-use. The respondents were also pleased with its functions. The field study helps developers to refine the framework by providing direct input from the target audience. It can be a guide to identify areas for improvement and eventually help realise the goals.

في ظل التطور التكنلوجيا الحاصل في العالم في الكثير من المجالات وخاصة في مجال تشخيص الامراض، اذ تعاني عملية التشخيص لبعض الامراض لحدوث حالات الخطأ في التشخيص لتشابه الاعراض وتشابه التحاليل المرضية او من ثم عدم قدرة المعالج على تقديم وصف دقيق للمرض الذي يعانية المريض حيث تم استخدام تقنية التسلسل الهرمي التحليلي AHP(Analytical Hierarchy Process)، إذ تعّد واحدة من أهم الطرق التي يمكن اعتمادها لتصنيف الامراض واتخاذ القرارات الطبية، إذ استخدمت بيانات حقيقية اخذت لـ 1000 مريض من مستشفى الكاظمية التعليمي لسبعة امراض وهي (فقر الدم، وارتفاع نسبة الدهون، واظطرابات نسبة الدهون، والفشل الكلوي، والتهاب الكبد، واضطرابات الكبد، واليرقان)، إذ اظهرت ان البيانات متسقة، ومن ثم تم تطبيق تقنية انجاز الطلب عن طريق التشابهة مع الحل المثاليTOPSIS (Technique For order Preference by Similarity To identical soluation)، وتم الحصول على سبع اولويات بحسب الاهمية النسبية للامراض بالنسبة للاطباء وبعد ترتيبها تنازليا، كانت اعلى اهمية هي لمرض الفشل الكلوي، واقل قيمة لمرض اليرقان، وبحسب النتائج التي تم الحصول عليها تبين ان طريقة AHP، وtopsis، لها القدرة على تمييز الامراض.

With the prominence of COVID-19 in our lives and with the looming threat of other pandemics raising in the future, keeping track of everyone’s temperature as a clear symptom of the disease is imperative for society moving forward. This applies to schools and other educational institutions too. This study aims to give a comprehensive solution that would be adaptable to multiple institutions. A web application that can run on most consumer devices would let schools keep track of their students’ temperature on top of easing the process of tracking class attendance by correlating both. At the moment, Malaysian schools have already implemented several ICT initiatives, including for data management (APDM, SAPS, etc.) as well as for teaching and learning (Virtual Learning Environment). Therefore, the proposed online system for attendance and temperature recording would be a good complement to support the digitalization of Malaysian schools.

The lacking and obsolete empirical evidence on the manner in which gender influences VLE adoption indicates the need to conduct new research regarding this matter. Presently, the usage trend of ICT gadgets, equipment, or any sort of technology including VLE has dramatically changed, which perhaps created the possibility of gender effect abolishment, although its existence was previously proven in certain studies conducted in previous decades. Therefore, this study investigates the difference between male and female teachers’ continuous intention to use the VLE platform. The data were gathered from primary and secondary school teachers across the northern region of Malaysia and were analyzed using t-test analysis. The findings confirmed that there is no difference in terms of gender when it comes to the extent of teachers’ intention to continue using VLE in their pedagogical routines. This implies that increased familiarity with ICT tools has eliminated the gender effect in VLE adoption among teachers.

The Malaysia ICT Volunteers (MIV) is an ICT volunteer programme that aims to empower Malaysians towards becoming digital citizens of the Digital Smart Nation. As its effectiveness in attaining this goal has never been measured using rigorous scientific methods; the present study aimed to fill this gap. The aim of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of the MIV programme in terms of its impact on the MIV volunteers’ behaviour. This study is guided by the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB), and a set of questionnaires was developed for the online survey. During the data collection period from August to October 2021, 329 valid cases from the MIV volunteers were gathered. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was used to analyse the date. Statistical results confirmed that Attitude towards MIV and Perceived Behavioural Control exert a significant influence on Intention to Volunteer, which in turn significantly influences the ICT Volunteering Behaviour of MIV volunteers. On the other hand, Subjective Norms do not play a significant role in the participants’ attitudes toward the MIV programme. Another important finding that emerged from this study is that the MIV programme is effective in promoting ICT Volunteering Behaviour by exerting a positive influence on the participants’ willingness and attitude by increasing their confidence in the MIV programme advantages. However, its benefits can be further enhanced by strengthening partnerships with schools, higher education institutions, private/government agencies, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs), as well as through more active social media utilisation for the promotion of ICT knowledge sharing and engagement.

To understand the demands of the modern labor market, this study focuses on the marketability of graduates from programs that mix multimedia with Quranic studies. These programs combine multimedia as a minor with Quranic studies as a major. Nonetheless, concerns remain over the program's applicability in light of the quickly changing technology landscape and the graduates' capacity to use their education to their advantage in the workplace. This study examines the employment situation of USIM graduates in multimedia Quranic studies for the academic years 2017, 2018, and 2019. Evaluate graduates' opinions regarding the program's suitability in fulfilling the labor market demands and any barriers they see to improving their marketability. The study uses a quantitative research design to gather information from 330 former students who obtained a Bachelor of Quranic Studies with a Multimedia degree. The results show that 77.2% of graduates have jobs, which suggests that marketability skills are on the rise. With only 5.6% of graduates still unemployed, graduates have a great understanding of the demands of the labor market and a proactive approach to enhancing their abilities. The biggest impediment to developing marketable skills is financial, with 90% of graduates stating this as a reason for not enrolling in outside training or courses. To sum up, graduates of the Quranic Studies with Multimedia curriculum are in demand for employment and have a market worth to the businesses. Notwithstanding the difficulties from restricted resources and information exposure, the graduates desire to improve their abilities, underscoring the significance of a well-rounded education that integrates "naqli" and "aqli" knowledge. These results provide insight into the success of this integration and the graduates' preparedness for the demands of the contemporary labor market.

This study explores the current understanding of data security among students within the Malaysian higher education system. The focus is on evaluating how well the respondents grasp two critical aspects: knowledge related to securing social media platforms and a broader comprehension of data security measures. To gather insights, a meticulously designed questionnaire was administered to students enrolled at a reputable university college located in the northern region of Peninsular Malaysia. This particular institution was selected carefully to ensure a diverse representation of students across various academic disciplines. Upon thoroughly examining the gathered responses, the aim was to discern the level of familiarity Malaysian students have with data security. Unfortunately, the results underscore a significant deficiency in the respondents' understanding of both dimensions of data security knowledge that were scrutinized in this study. The findings emphasize the urgent necessity for improved educational initiatives in the realm of data security awareness for higher education students in Malaysia. This study highlights the importance for educational institutions and policymakers to acknowledge these existing gaps and take proactive steps to bolster students' comprehension of data security. This, in turn, can contribute to cultivating a more secure digital landscape for the entire nation.

In addition to the significance of education for improving economic growth and skill development, higher education is also crucial for the indigenous community, better known as Orang Asli in Malaysia. Unfortunately, many Orang Asli ethnic minorities living in remote areas or highlands of Peninsular Malaysia face high dropout rates across all educational levels. This is often due to a lack of awareness of the importance of education, as well as limited access to educational institutions. As a marginalized community that has been neglected for decades, achieving higher education can significantly contribute to reducing poverty and improving their quality of life. In general, this study aimed to enhance the quality of indigenous education in Malaysia and promote the importance of higher education for Orang Asli students. The study was conducted using an exploratory sequential mixed-method design at SMK Sultan Ahmad Shah in Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands, where data was collected from 29 Form Six (pre-university) students. The results showed a significant increase in their awareness of furthering their studies in tertiary education. Before the program, only 19 out of 29 students believed that pursuing higher education was important for them, but after the program, all of them expressed an interest in doing so.
