1. A Neural Network-based Framework for Fast and Smooth Posture Reconstruction of a Soft Continuum Arm

Abstract: A neural network-based framework is developed and experimentally demonstrated for the problem of estimating the shape of a soft continuum arm (SCA) from noisy measurements of the pose at a finite number of locations along the length of the arm. The neural network takes as input these measurements and produces as output a finite-dimensional approximation of the strain, which is further used to reconstruct the infinite-dimensional smooth posture. This problem is important for various soft robotic applications. It is challenging due to the flexible aspects that lead to the infinite-dimensional reconstruction problem for the continuous posture and strains. Because of this, past solutions to this problem are computationally intensive. The proposed fast smooth reconstruction method is shown to be five orders of magnitude faster while having comparable accuracy. 2. Detection Made Easy: Potentials of Large Language Models for Solidity Vulnerabilities

Abstract: The large-scale deployment of Solidity smart contracts on the Ethereum mainnet has increasingly attracted financially-motivated attackers in recent years. A few now-infamous attacks in Ethereum's history includes DAO attack in 2016 (50 million dollars lost), Parity Wallet hack in 2017 (146 million dollars locked), Beautychain's token BEC in 2018 (900 million dollars market value fell to 0), and NFT gaming blockchain breach in 2022 ($600 million in Ether stolen). This paper presents a comprehensive investigation of the use of large language models (LLMs) and their capabilities in detecting OWASP Top Ten vulnerabilities in Solidity. We introduce a novel, class-balanced, structured, and labeled dataset named VulSmart, which we use to benchmark and compare the performance of open-source LLMs such as CodeLlama, Llama2, CodeT5 and Falcon, alongside closed-source models like GPT-3.5 Turbo and GPT-4o Mini. Our proposed SmartVD framework is rigorously tested against these models through extensive automated and manual evaluations, utilizing BLEU and ROUGE metrics to assess the effectiveness of vulnerability detection in smart contracts. We also explore three distinct prompting strategies-zero-shot, few-shot, and chain-of-thought-to evaluate the multi-class classification and generative capabilities of the SmartVD framework. Our findings reveal that SmartVD outperforms its open-source counterparts and even exceeds the performance of closed-source base models like GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 Mini. After fine-tuning, the closed-source models, GPT-3.5 Turbo and GPT-4o Mini, achieved remarkable performance with 99% accuracy in detecting vulnerabilities, 94% in identifying their types, and 98% in determining severity. Notably, SmartVD performs best with the `chain-of-thought' prompting technique, whereas the fine-tuned closed-source models excel with the `zero-shot' prompting approach.

3. Compartmental and Coexistence in the Dark Sector of the Universe

Abstract: We revise the cosmological interaction between dark energy and dark matter. More precisely, we focus on models that support compartmentalization or co-existence in the dark sector of the universe. Within the framework of a homogeneous and isotropic, spatially flat Friedmann--Lema\^itre--Robertson--Walker geometry, we analyse the asymptotic behaviour of the physical parameters for two interacting models, where dark energy and dark matter have constant equations of state parameters, in the presence of dark radiation, when dark energy is described by a quintessence scalar field. 4. Advancing SEM Based Nano-Scale Defect Analysis in Semiconductor Manufacturing for Advanced IC Nodes

Abstract: In this research, we introduce a unified end-to-end Automated Defect Classification-Detection-Segmentation (ADCDS) framework for classifying, detecting, and segmenting multiple instances of semiconductor defects for advanced nodes. This framework consists of two modules: (a) a defect detection module, followed by (b) a defect segmentation module. The defect detection module employs Deformable DETR to aid in the classification and detection of nano-scale defects, while the segmentation module utilizes BoxSnake. BoxSnake facilitates box-supervised instance segmentation of nano-scale defects, supported by the former module. This simplifies the process by eliminating the laborious requirement for ground-truth pixel-wise mask annotation by human experts, which is typically associated with training conventional segmentation models. We have evaluated the performance of our ADCDS framework using two distinct process datasets from real wafers, as ADI and AEI, specifically focusing on Line-space patterns. We have demonstrated the applicability and significance of our proposed methodology, particularly in the nano-scale segmentation and generation of binary defect masks, using the challenging ADI SEM dataset where ground-truth pixelwise segmentation annotations were unavailable. Furthermore, we have presented a comparative analysis of our proposed framework against previous approaches to demonstrate its effectiveness. Our proposed framework achieved an overall mAP@IoU0.5 of 72.19 for detection and 78.86 for segmentation on the ADI dataset. Similarly, for the AEI dataset, these metrics were 90.38 for detection and 95.48 for segmentation. 5. Strengthening Solidity Invariant Generation: From Post- to Pre-Deployment

Abstract: Invariants are essential for ensuring the security and correctness of Solidity smart contracts, particularly in the context of blockchain's immutability and decentralized execution. This paper introduces InvSol, a novel framework for pre-deployment invariant generation tailored specifically for Solidity smart contracts. Unlike existing solutions, namely InvCon, InvCon+, and Trace2Inv, that rely on post-deployment transaction histories on Ethereum mainnet, InvSol identifies invariants before deployment and offers comprehensive coverage of Solidity language constructs, including loops. Additionally, InvSol incorporates custom templates to effectively prevent critical issues such as reentrancy, out-of-gas errors, and exceptions during invariant generation. We rigorously evaluate InvSol using a benchmark set of smart contracts and compare its performance with state-of-the-art solutions. Our findings reveal that InvSol significantly outperforms these tools, demonstrating its effectiveness in handling new contracts with limited transaction histories. Notably, InvSol achieves a 15% improvement in identifying common vulnerabilities compared to InvCon+ and is able to address certain crucial vulnerabilities using specific invariant templates, better than Trace2Inv.

6. Roadmap to vortex nucleation below critical rotation frequency in a dipolar Bose-Einstein condensate

Abstract: The formation of quantized vortices in a superfluid above a certain critical trap rotation frequency serves as a hallmark signature of superfluidity. Based on the beyond mean field framework, crucial for the formation of exotic supersolid and droplet states, we investigate dynamic protocols for vortex nucleation in the superfluid and supersolid states of a dipolar Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC), at a significantly lower trap rotation frequency. We find that the critical rotation frequency of the trap varies with the dipole-dipole interaction strength and the polarization direction of the external magnetic field. Leveraging these characteristics of dipolar BECs, we demonstrate three dynamic protocols for vortex nucleation even when rotating below the critical rotation frequency viz.: (i) varying the $s$-wave scattering length, (ii) changing the polarizing angle, and (iii) successive modulation of both the scattering length and polarizing angle. 7. Towards a Resource-Optimized Dynamic Quantum Algorithm via Non-iterative Auxiliary Subspace Corrections

Abstract: Recent quantum algorithms pertaining to electronic structure theory primarily focus on threshold-based dynamic construction of ansatz by selectively including important many-body operators. These methods can be made systematically more accurate by tuning the threshold to include more number of operators into the ansatz. However, such improvements come at the cost of rapid proliferation of the circuit depth, especially for highly correlated molecular systems. In this work, we address this issue by the development of a novel theoretical framework that relies on the segregation of an ansatz into a dynamically selected core principal component, which is, by construction adiabatically decoupled from the remaining operators. This enables us to perform computations involving the principal component using extremely shallow-depth circuits whereas, the effect of the remaining auxiliary component is folded into the energy function via a cost-efficient non-iterative correction, ensuring the requisite accuracy. We propose a formalism that analytically predicts the auxiliary parameters from the principal ones, followed by a suite of non-iterative auxiliary subspace correction techniques with different levels of sophistication. The auxiliary subspace corrections incur no additional quantum resources, yet complement an inadequately expressive core of the ansatz to recover significant amount of electronic correlations. 8. Bayesian Spatiotemporal Wombling

Abstract: Stochastic process models for spatiotemporal data underlying random fields find substantial utility in a range of scientific disciplines. Subsequent to predictive inference on the values of the random field (or spatial surface indexed continuously over time) at arbitrary space-time coordinates, scientific interest often turns to gleaning information regarding zones of rapid spatial-temporal change. We develop Bayesian modeling and inference for directional rates of change along a given surface. These surfaces, which demarcate regions of rapid change, are referred to as ``wombling'' surface boundaries. Existing methods for studying such changes have often been associated with curves and are not easily extendable to surfaces resulting from curves evolving over time. Our current contribution devises a fully model-based inferential framework for analyzing differential behavior in spatiotemporal responses by formalizing the notion of a ``wombling'' surface boundary using conventional multi-linear vector analytic frameworks and geometry followed by posterior predictive computations using triangulated surface approximations. We illustrate our methodology with comprehensive simulation experiments followed by multiple applications in environmental and climate science; pollutant analysis in environmental health; and brain imaging., Comment: 198 pages

Abstract: We present a measurement of $|V_{ub}|$ from a simultaneous study of the charmless semileptonic decays $B^0\to\pi^- \ell^+ \nu_{\ell}$ and $B^+\to\rho^0 \ell^+\nu_{\ell}$, where $\ell = e, \mu$. This measurement uses a data sample of 387 million $B\overline{B}$ meson pairs recorded by the Belle~II detector at the SuperKEKB electron-positron collider between 2019 and 2022. The two decays are reconstructed without identifying the partner $B$ mesons. We simultaneously measure the differential branching fractions of $B^0\to\pi^- \ell^+ \nu_{\ell}$ and $B^+\to\rho^0 \ell^+\nu_{\ell}$ decays as functions of $q^2$ (momentum transfer squared). From these, we obtain total branching fractions $B(B^0\to\pi^- \ell^+ \nu_{\ell}) = (1.516 \pm 0.042 (\mathrm{stat}) \pm 0.059 (\mathrm{syst})) \times 10^{-4}$ and $B(B^+\to\rho^0 \ell^+\nu_{\ell}) = (1.625 \pm 0.079 (\mathrm{stat}) \pm 0.180 (\mathrm{syst})) \times 10^{-4}$. By fitting the measured $B^0\to\pi^- \ell^+ \nu_{\ell}$ partial branching fractions as functions of $q^2$, together with constraints on the non-perturbative hadronic contribution from lattice QCD calculations, we obtain $|V_{ub}|$ = $(3.93 \pm 0.09 \pm 0.13 \pm 0.19) \times 10^{-3}$. Here, the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third is theoretical.

10. Optical Micromanipulation of Soft Materials: Applications in Devices and Technologies

Abstract: Since its invention by Arthur Ashkin and colleagues at Bell Labs in the 1970s, optical micromanipulation, also known as optical tweezers or laser tweezers, has evolved remarkably to become one of the most convenient and versatile tools for studying soft materials, including biological systems. Arthur Ashkin received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2018 for enabling these extraordinary scientific advancements. Essentially, a focused laser beam is used to apply and measure minuscule forces from a few piconewtons to femtonewtons by utilizing light-matter interaction at mesoscopic length scales. Combined with advanced microscopy and position-sensing techniques, optical micromanipulations enable us to investigate diverse aspects of functional soft materials. These include studying mechanical responses through force-elongation measurements, examining the structural properties of complex fluids employing microrheology, analyzing chemical compositions using spectroscopy, and sorting cells through single-cell analysis. Furthermore, it is utilized in various soft-matter-based devices, such as laser scissors and optical motors in microfluidic channels. This chapter presents an overview of optical micromanipulation techniques by describing fundamental theories and explaining the design considerations of conventional single-trap and dual-trap setups as well as recent improvisations. We further discuss their capabilities and applications in probing exotic soft-matter systems and in developing widely utilized devices and technologies based on functional soft materials., Comment: 73 pages, 13 figures

11. Coupled phantom cosmological model motivated by the warm inflationary paradigm

Abstract: In this article, we investigate a coupled phantom dark-energy cosmological model in which the coupling term between a phantom scalar field with an exponential potential and a pressureless dark-matter fluid is motivated by the warm inflationary paradigm. Using methods of qualitative analysis of dynamical systems, complemented by numerical solutions of the evolution equations, we study the late-time behavior of our model. We show that contrary to the uncoupled scenario, the coupled phantom model admits accelerated scaling solutions. However, they do not correspond to a final state of the universe's evolution and, therefore, cannot be used to solve the cosmological coincidence problem. Furthermore, we show that, for certain coupling parameter values, the total equation-of-state parameter's asymptotic behavior is significantly changed when compared to the uncoupled scenario, allowing for solutions less phantom even for steeper potentials of the phantom scalar field., Comment: 13 pages including references, 3 tables and 4 captioned figures; version accepted by Phys. Abstract: Schr\"{o}dinger bridge--a stochastic dynamical generalization of optimal mass transport--exhibits a learning-control duality. Viewed as a stochastic control problem, the Schr\"{o}dinger bridge finds an optimal control policy that steers a given joint state statistics to another while minimizing the total control effort subject to controlled diffusion and deadline constraints. Viewed as a stochastic learning problem, the Schr\"{o}dinger bridge finds the most-likely distribution-valued trajectory connecting endpoint distributional observations, i.e., solves the two point boundary-constrained maximum likelihood problem over the manifold of probability distributions. Recent works have shown that solving the Schr\"{o}dinger bridge problem with state cost requires finding the Markov kernel associated with a reaction-diffusion PDE where the state cost appears as a state-dependent reaction rate. We explain how ideas from Weyl calculus in quantum mechanics, specifically the Weyl operator and the Weyl symbol, can help determine such Markov kernels. We illustrate these ideas by explicitly finding the Markov kernel for the case of quadratic state cost via Weyl calculus, recovering our earlier results but avoiding tedious computation with Hermite polynomials.

Abstract: Deep learning-based semiconductor defect inspection has gained traction in recent years, offering a powerful and versatile approach that provides high accuracy, adaptability, and efficiency in detecting and classifying nano-scale defects. However, semiconductor manufacturing processes are continually evolving, leading to the emergence of new types of defects over time. This presents a significant challenge for conventional supervised defect detectors, as they may suffer from catastrophic forgetting when trained on new defect datasets, potentially compromising performance on previously learned tasks. An alternative approach involves the constant storage of previously trained datasets alongside pre-trained model versions, which can be utilized for (re-)training from scratch or fine-tuning whenever encountering a new defect dataset. However, adhering to such a storage template is impractical in terms of size, particularly when considering High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM). Additionally, semiconductor defect datasets, especially those encompassing stochastic defects, are often limited and expensive to obtain, thus lacking sufficient representation of the entire universal set of defectivity. This work introduces a task-agnostic, meta-learning approach aimed at addressing this challenge, which enables the incremental addition of new defect classes and scales to create a more robust and generalized model for semiconductor defect inspection. 14. Addressing Class Imbalance and Data Limitations in Advanced Node Semiconductor Defect Inspection: A Generative Approach for SEM Images

Abstract: Precision in identifying nanometer-scale device-killer defects is crucial in both semiconductor research and development as well as in production processes. The effectiveness of existing ML-based approaches in this context is largely limited by the scarcity of data, as the production of real semiconductor wafer data for training these models involves high financial and time costs. Moreover, the existing simulation methods fall short of replicating images with identical noise characteristics, surface roughness and stochastic variations at advanced nodes. We propose a method for generating synthetic semiconductor SEM images using a diffusion model within a limited data regime. In contrast to images generated through conventional simulation methods, SEM images generated through our proposed DL method closely resemble real SEM images, replicating their noise characteristics and surface roughness adaptively. Our main contributions, which are validated on three different real semiconductor datasets, are: i) proposing a patch-based generative framework utilizing DDPM to create SEM images with intended defect classes, addressing challenges related to class-imbalance and data insufficiency, ii) demonstrating generated synthetic images closely resemble real SEM images acquired from the tool, preserving all imaging conditions and metrology characteristics without any metadata supervision, iii) demonstrating a defect detector trained on generated defect dataset, either independently or combined with a limited real dataset, can achieve similar or improved performance on real wafer SEM images during validation/testing compared to exclusive training on a real defect dataset, iv) demonstrating the ability of the proposed approach to transfer defect types, critical dimensions, and imaging conditions from one specified CD/Pitch and metrology specifications to another, thereby highlighting its versatility., Comment: 8 pages, 11 figures, to be presented at 2024 International Symposium ELMAR, and published by IEEE in the conference proceedings

Abstract: We report measurements of time-dependent $CP$ asymmetries in $B^0 \to K^0_S \pi^0 \gamma$ decays based on a data sample of $(388\pm6)\times10^6$ $B\bar{B}$ events collected at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance with the Belle II detector. The Belle II experiment operates at the SuperKEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+e^-$ collider. We measure decay-time distributions to determine $CP$-violating parameters $S$ and $C$. We determine these parameters for two ranges of $K^0_S \pi^0$ invariant mass: $m(K^0_S \pi^0)\in (0.8, 1.0)$ $GeV/c^2$, which is dominated by $B^0 \to K^{*0} (\to K^0_S \pi^0) \gamma$ decays, and a complementary region $m(K^0_S \pi^0)\in (0.6, 0.8)\cup(1.0, 1.8)$ $GeV/c^2$. Abstract: We present measurements of $B^{+}\rightarrow\rho^{+}\gamma$ and $B^{0}\rightarrow\rho^{0}\gamma$ decays using a combined data sample of $772 \times 10^6$ $B\overline{B}$ pairs collected by the Belle experiment and $387\times 10^6$ $B\overline{B}$ pairs collected by the Belle II experiment in $e^{+}e^{-}$ collisions at the $\Upsilon (4S)$ resonance. After an optimized selection, a simultaneous fit to the Belle and Belle II data sets yields $114\pm 12$ $B^{+}\rightarrow\rho^{+}\gamma$ and $99\pm 12$ $B^{0}\rightarrow\rho^{0}\gamma$ decays. The measured branching fractions are $(13.1^{+2.0 +1.3}_{-1.9 -1.2})\times 10^{-7}$ and $(7.5\pm 1.3^{+1.0}_{-0.8})\times 10^{-7}$ for $B^{+}\rightarrow\rho^{+}\gamma$ and $B^{0}\rightarrow\rho^{0}\gamma$ decays, respectively, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. We also measure the isospin asymmetry $A_{\rm I}(B\rightarrow\rho\gamma)=(10.9^{+11.2 +7.8}_{-11.7 -7.3})\%$ and the direct CP asymmetry $A_{CP}(B^{+}\rightarrow\rho^{+}\gamma)=(-8.2\pm 15.2^{+1.6}_{-1.2})\%$., Comment: 12 pages, 4 figures

17. Layer Resolved Magnetotransport Properties in Antiferromagnetic/Paramagnetic Superlattices

Abstract: We investigate the layer resolved magnetotransport properties of the antiferromagnetic/paramagnetic superlattices based on one band half-filled Hubbard model in three dimensions. In our set up the correlated layers (with on-site repulsion strength $U \ne$ 0) are intercalated between the uncorrelated (U = 0) layers. Our calculations based on the semi-classical Monte-Carlo technique show that the magnetic moments are induced in the uncorrelated layers at low temperatures due to kinetic hopping of the carriers across the interface. The average induced magnetic moment in the uncorrelated layer varies nonmonotonically with the $U$ values of the correlated layer. Interestingly, the induced magnetic moments are antiferromagnetically arranged in uncorrelated layers and mediates the antiferromagnetic ordering between correlated layers. As a result the whole SL system turns out to be antiferromagnetic insulating at low temperatures. For $U \sim$ bandwidth the local moments in the correlated planes increases as a function of the distance from the interface. Expectedly our in-plane resistivity calculations show that the metal insulator transition temperature of the central plane is larger than the edge planes in the correlated layers. Abstract: We present a search for the baryon number $B$ and lepton number $L$ violating decays $\tau^- \rightarrow \Lambda \pi^-$ and $\tau^- \rightarrow \bar{\Lambda} \pi^-$ produced from the $e^+e^-\to \tau^+\tau^-$ process, using a 364 fb$^{-1}$ data sample collected by the Belle~II experiment at the SuperKEKB collider. No evidence of signal is found in either decay mode, which have $|\Delta(B-L)|$ equal to $2$ and $0$, respectively. Upper limits at 90\% credibility level on the branching fractions of $\tau^- \rightarrow \Lambda\pi^-$ and $\tau^- \rightarrow \bar{\Lambda}\pi^-$ are determined to be $4.7 \times 10^{-8}$ and $4.3 \times 10^{-8}$, respectively., Comment: 8 pages, 4 figures

19. FedSat: A Statistical Aggregation Approach for Class Imbalaced Clients in Federated Learning

Abstract: Federated learning (FL) has emerged as a promising paradigm for privacy-preserving distributed machine learning, but faces challenges with heterogeneous data distributions across clients. This paper introduces FedSat, a novel FL approach designed to tackle various forms of data heterogeneity simultaneously. FedSat employs a cost-sensitive loss function and a prioritized class-based weighted aggregation scheme to address label skewness, missing classes, and quantity skewness across clients. While the proposed cost-sensitive loss function enhances model performance on minority classes, the prioritized class-based weighted aggregation scheme ensures client contributions are weighted based on both statistical significance and performance on critical classes. Extensive experiments across diverse data-heterogeneity settings demonstrate that FedSat significantly outperforms state-of-the-art baselines, with an average improvement of 1.8% over the second-best method and 19.87% over the weakest-performing baseline. The approach also demonstrates faster convergence compared to existing methods. These results highlight FedSat's effectiveness in addressing the challenges of heterogeneous federated learning and its potential for real-world applications.

Abstract: A series of data samples was collected with the Belle~II detector at the SuperKEKB collider from March 2019 to June 2022. We determine the integrated luminosities of these data samples using three distinct methodologies involving Bhabha ($e^+e^- \to e^+e^-(n\gamma)$), digamma ($e^+e^- \to \gamma\gamma(n\gamma)$), and dimuon ($e^+e^- \to \mu^+ \mu^- (n\gamma)$) events. The total integrated luminosity obtained with Bhabha, digamma, and dimuon events is ({426.88} $\pm$ 0.03 $\pm$ {2.61})~fb$^{-1}$, ({429.28} $\pm$ 0.03 $\pm$ {2.62})~fb$^{-1}$, and ({423.99} $\pm$ 0.04 $\pm$ {3.83})~fb$^{-1}$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. 21. Quantifying Spuriousness of Biased Datasets Using Partial Information Decomposition

Abstract: Spurious patterns refer to a mathematical association between two or more variables in a dataset that are not causally related. However, this notion of spuriousness, which is usually introduced due to sampling biases in the dataset, has classically lacked a formal definition. To address this gap, this work presents the first information-theoretic formalization of spuriousness in a dataset (given a split of spurious and core features) using a mathematical framework called Partial Information Decomposition (PID). Specifically, we disentangle the joint information content that the spurious and core features share about another target variable (e.g., the prediction label) into distinct components, namely unique, redundant, and synergistic information. We propose the use of unique information, with roots in Blackwell Sufficiency, as a novel metric to formally quantify dataset spuriousness and derive its desirable properties. We empirically demonstrate how higher unique information in the spurious features in a dataset could lead a model into choosing the spurious features over the core features for inference, often having low worst-group-accuracy. We also propose a novel autoencoder-based estimator for computing unique information that is able to handle high-dimensional image data. 22. Breaking Boundaries: Investigating the Effects of Model Editing on Cross-linguistic Performance

Abstract: The integration of pretrained language models (PLMs) like BERT and GPT has revolutionized NLP, particularly for English, but it has also created linguistic imbalances. This paper strategically identifies the need for linguistic equity by examining several knowledge editing techniques in multilingual contexts. We evaluate the performance of models such as Mistral, TowerInstruct, OpenHathi, Tamil-Llama, and Kan-Llama across languages including English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada. Our research identifies significant discrepancies in normal and merged models concerning cross-lingual consistency. We employ strategies like 'each language for itself' (ELFI) and 'each language for others' (ELFO) to stress-test these models. 23. Recovery of resource through sequential noisy measurements

Abstract: Noisy unsharp measurements incorporated in quantum information protocols may hinder performance, reducing the quantum advantage. However, we show that, unlike projective measurements which completely destroy quantum correlations between nodes in quantum networks, sequential applications of noisy measurements can mitigate the adverse impact of noise in the measurement device on quantum information processing tasks. We demonstrate this in the case of concentrating entanglement on chosen nodes in quantum networks via noisy measurements performed by assisting qubits. In the case of networks with a cluster of three or higher number of qubits, we exhibit that sequentially performing optimal unsharp measurements on the assisting qubits yields localizable entanglement between two nodes akin to that obtained by optimal projective measurements on the same assisting qubits. Furthermore, we find that the proposed approach using consecutive noisy measurements can potentially be used to prepare desired states that are resource for specific quantum schemes. We also argue that assisting qubits have greater control over the qubits on which entanglement is concentrated via unsharp measurements, in contrast to sharp measurement-based protocols, which may have implications for secure quantum communication., Comment: 14 pages, 9 figures

Abstract: We present measurements of the branching fractions of eight $\overline B{}^0\to D^{(*)+} K^- K^{(*)0}_{(S)}$, $B^{-}\to D^{(*)0} K^- K^{(*)0}_{(S)}$ decay channels. The results are based on data from SuperKEKB electron-positron collisions at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance collected with the Belle II detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $362~\text{fb}^{-1}$. The event yields are extracted from fits to the distributions of the difference between expected and observed $B$ meson energy, and are efficiency-corrected as a function of $m(K^-K^{(*)0}_{(S)})$ and $m(D^{(*)}K^{(*)0}_{(S)})$ in order to avoid dependence on the decay model. These results include the first observation of $\overline B{}^0\to D^+K^-K_S^0$, $B^-\to D^{*0}K^-K_S^0$, and $\overline B{}^0\to D^{*+}K^-K_S^0$ decays and a significant improvement in the precision of the other channels compared to previous measurements. The helicity-angle distributions and the invariant mass distributions of the $K^- K^{(*)0}_{(S)}$ systems are compatible with quasi-two-body decays via a resonant transition with spin-parity $J^P=1^-$ for the $K^-K_S^0$ systems and $J^P= 1^+$ for the $K^-K^{*0}$ systems. Abstract: We present a study of $\Xi_{c}^{0}\to\Xi^{0}\pi^{0}$, $\Xi_{c}^{0}\to\Xi^{0}\eta$, and $\Xi_{c}^{0}\to\Xi^{0}\eta^{\prime}$ decays using the Belle and Belle~II data samples, which have integrated luminosities of 980~$\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ and 426~$\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$, respectively. We measure the following relative branching fractions $${\cal B}(\Xi_{c}^{0}\to\Xi^{0}\pi^{0})/{\cal B}(\Xi_{c}^{0}\to\Xi^{-}\pi^{+}) = 0.48 \pm 0.02 ({\rm stat}) \pm 0.03 ({\rm syst}) ,$$ $${\cal B}(\Xi_{c}^{0}\to\Xi^{0}\eta)/{\cal B}(\Xi_{c}^{0}\to\Xi^{-}\pi^{+}) = 0.11 \pm 0.01 ({\rm stat}) \pm 0.01 ({\rm syst}) ,$$ $${\cal B}(\Xi_{c}^{0}\to\Xi^{0}\eta^{\prime})/{\cal B}(\Xi_{c}^{0}\to\Xi^{-}\pi^{+}) = 0.08 \pm 0.02 ({\rm stat}) \pm 0.01 ({\rm syst}) $$ for the first time, where the uncertainties are statistical ($\rm stat$) and systematic ($\rm syst$). By multiplying by the branching fraction of the normalization mode, ${\mathcal B}(\Xi_{c}^{0}\to\Xi^{-}\pi^{+})$, we obtain the following absolute branching fraction results $(6.9 \pm 0.3 ({\rm stat}) \pm 0.5 ({\rm syst}) \pm 1.3 ({\rm norm})) \times 10^{-3}$, $(1.6 \pm 0.2 ({\rm stat}) \pm 0.2 ({\rm syst}) \pm 0.3 ({\rm norm})) \times 10^{-3}$, and $(1.2 \pm 0.3 ({\rm stat}) \pm 0.1 ({\rm syst}) \pm 0.2 ({\rm norm})) \times 10^{-3}$, for $\Xi_{c}^{0}$ decays to $\Xi^{0}\pi^{0}$, $\Xi^{0}\eta$, and $\Xi^{0}\eta^{\prime}$ final states, respectively. The third errors are from the uncertainty on ${\mathcal B}(\Xi_{c}^{0}\to\Xi^{-}\pi^{+})$. 26. Schr\'{o}dinger Bridge with Quadratic State Cost is Exactly Solvable

Abstract: Schr\"odinger bridge is a diffusion process that steers a given distribution to another in a prescribed time while minimizing the effort to do so. It can be seen as the stochastic dynamical version of the optimal mass transport, and has growing applications in generative diffusion models and stochastic optimal control. In this work, we propose a regularized variant of the Schr\"odinger bridge with a quadratic state cost-to-go that incentivizes the optimal sample paths to stay close to a nominal level. Unlike the conventional Schr\"odinger bridge, the regularization induces a state-dependent rate of killing and creation of probability mass, and its solution requires determining the Markov kernel of a reaction-diffusion partial differential equation. We derive this Markov kernel in closed form. Our solution recovers the heat kernel in the vanishing regularization (i.e., diffusion without reaction) limit, thereby recovering the solution of the conventional Schr\"odinger bridge. Our results enable the use of dynamic Sinkhorn recursion for computing the Schr\"odinger bridge with a quadratic state cost-to-go, which would otherwise be challenging to use in this setting. We deduce properties of the new kernel and explain its connections with certain exactly solvable models in quantum mechanics.

27. Magnetotransport Properties of Ferromagnetic/Antiferromagnetic Superlattices: Probing the role of induced magnetization in antiferromagnetic layer

Abstract: We investigate the magnetic and transport properties of the $La_{1-x}Sr_{x}MnO_{3}$ (LSMO)/$Pr_{1-x}Ca_{x}MnO_{3}$ (PCMO) like ferromagnetic/antiferromagnetic superlattices in three dimensions using a two orbitals double exchange model incorporating the Jahn-Teller lattice distortions, superexchange interactions and long-range Coulomb interactions. In our simulations we primarily focus on periodic arrangement of $w_L$ planes of ferromagnetic LSMO and $w_P$ planes of antiferromagnetic PCMO manganites, and set $w_L$+$w_P$ = 10. The induced ferromagnetic correlations in the parent PCMO layer decreases monotonically with increasing the PCMO layer width $w_P$ at high temperatures for both half-doping ($n =0.5$) and off-half-doping ($n = 0.55$) scenarios. As we decrease the temperature further the induced ferromagnetic moments in PCMO layer disappears or decreases considerably at half-doping due to the onset of charge ordering in antiferromagnetic PCMO layers. Overall, the magnetization in PCMO layer decreases at low temperatures and the metal-insulator transition temperature of the LSMO/PCMO superlattices increases with increase of the PCMO layer width $w_P$, similar to the experiments. On the other hand, at off-half-doping, the induced ferromagnetic moment survives even at low temperatures due to weakened charge ordering in PCMO layer and interestingly, varies nonmonotonically with PCMO layer width, in agreement with experiments. The nonmonotonic trend of the conductivity of the superlattice with increase of the PCMO layer width $w_P$ shows an one-to-one correspondence between conductivity of the superlattice and the induced ferromagnetic moments in the PCMO layer. Abstract: We report measurements of the $e^+e^- \to B\bar{B}$, $B\bar{B}{}^*$, and $B^*\bar{B}{}^*$ cross sections at four energies, 10653, 10701, 10746 and 10805 MeV, using data collected by the Belle~II experiment. We reconstruct one $B$ meson in a large number of hadronic final states and use its momentum to identify the production process. In the first $2-5$ MeV above $B^*\bar{B}{}^*$ threshold, the $e^+e^- \to B^*\bar{B}{}^*$ cross section increases rapidly. 29. Stochastic Learning of Computational Resource Usage as Graph Structured Multimarginal Schr\'odinger Bridge

Abstract: We propose to learn the time-varying stochastic computational resource usage of software as a graph structured Schr\"odinger bridge problem. In general, learning the computational resource usage from data is challenging because resources such as the number of CPU instructions and the number of last level cache requests are both time-varying and statistically correlated. Our proposed method enables learning the joint time-varying stochasticity in computational resource usage from the measured profile snapshots in a nonparametric manner. The method can be used to predict the most-likely time-varying distribution of computational resource availability at a desired time. We provide detailed algorithms for stochastic learning in both single and multi-core cases, discuss the convergence guarantees, computational complexities, and demonstrate their practical use in two case studies: a single-core nonlinear model predictive controller, and a synthetic multi-core software.

Abstract: We present the result of a search for the charged-lepton-flavor violating decay $\tau^- \to \mu^-\mu^+\mu^-$ using a $424fb^{-1}$ sample of data recorded by the Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB $e^{-}e^{+}$ collider. The selection of $e^{-}e^{+}\to\tau^+\tau^-$ events is based on an inclusive reconstruction of the non-signal tau decay, and on a boosted decision tree to suppress background. We observe one signal candidate, which is compatible with the expectation from background processes. We set a $90\%$ confidence level upper limit of $1.9 \times 10^{-8}$ on the branching fraction of the \taumu decay, which is the most stringent bound to date.

Abstract: We report a determination of the CKM angle $\phi_{3}$, also known as $\gamma$, from a combination of measurements using samples of up to 711~fb$^{-1}$ from the Belle experiment and up to 362~fb$^{-1}$ from the Belle II experiment. We combine results from analyses of $B^+\to DK^+, B^+\to D\pi^+$, and $B^+ \to D^{*}K^+$ decays, where $D$ is an admixture of $D^0$ and $\overline{D}{}^{0}$ mesons, in a likelihood fit to obtain $\phi_{3} = (78.6^{+7.2}_{-7.3})^{\circ}$. 32. Deciding factor for detecting a particle within a subspace via dark and bright states

Abstract: In a measurement-induced continuous-time quantum walk, we address the problem of detecting a particle in a subspace, instead of a fixed position. In this configuration, we develop an approach of bright and dark states based on the unit and vanishing detection probability respectively for a particle-detection in the subspace. Specifically, by employing the rank-nullity theorem, we determine several properties of dark and bright states in terms of energy spectrum of the Hamiltonian used for a quantum walk and the projectors applied to detect the subspace. We provide certain conditions on the position and the rank of the subspace to be detected, resulting in the unit total detection probability, which has broad implications for quantum computing. Further, we illustrate the forms of dark as well as bright states and the dependence of detection probability on the number of dark states by considering a cyclic graph with nearest-neighbor and next nearest-neighbor hopping. Abstract: We measure the branching fraction of the decay $B^- \to D^0 \rho(770)^-$ using data collected with the Belle II detector. The data contain 387 million $B\overline{B}$ pairs produced in $e^+e^-$ collisions at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance. We reconstruct $8360\pm 180$ decays from an analysis of the distributions of the $B^-$ energy and the $\rho(770)^-$ helicity angle. We determine the branching fraction to be $(0.939 \pm 0.021\mathrm{(stat)} \pm 0.050\mathrm{(syst)})\%$, in agreement with previous results. Our measurement improves the relative precision of the world average by more than a factor of two.

34. IITP-VDLand: A Comprehensive Dataset on Decentraland Parcels

Abstract: This paper presents IITP-VDLand, a comprehensive dataset of Decentraland parcels sourced from diverse platforms. Unlike existing datasets which have limited attributes and records, IITP-VDLand offers a rich array of attributes, encompassing parcel characteristics, trading history, past activities, transactions, and social media interactions. Alongside, we introduce a key attribute in the dataset, namely Rarity score, which measures the uniqueness of each parcel within the virtual world. Addressing the significant challenge posed by the dispersed nature of this data across various sources, we employ a systematic approach, utilizing both available APIs and custom scripts, to gather it. Subsequently, we meticulously curate and organize the information into four distinct segments: (1) Characteristics Data-Fragment, (2) OpenSea Trading History Data-Fragment, (3) Ethereum Activity Transactions Data-Fragment, and (4) Social Media Data-Fragment. We envisage that this dataset would serve as a robust resource for training machine- and deep-learning models specifically designed to address real-world challenges within the domain of Decentraland parcels. The performance benchmarking of more than 20 state-of-the-art price prediction models on our dataset yields promising results, achieving a maximum R2 score of 0.8251 and an accuracy of 74.23% in case of Extra Trees Regressor and Classifier. The key findings reveal that the ensemble models performs better than both deep learning and linear models for our dataset. We observe a significant impact of coordinates, geographical proximity, rarity score, and few other economic indicators on the prediction of parcel prices.

35. Towards Improved Semiconductor Defect Inspection for high-NA EUVL based on SEMI-SuperYOLO-NAS

Abstract: Due to potential pitch reduction, the semiconductor industry is adopting High-NA EUVL technology. However, its low depth of focus presents challenges for High Volume Manufacturing. To address this, suppliers are exploring thinner photoresists and new underlayers/hardmasks. These may suffer from poor SNR, complicating defect detection. Vision-based ML algorithms offer a promising solution for semiconductor defect inspection. However, developing a robust ML model across various image resolutions without explicit training remains a challenge for nano-scale defect inspection. This research's goal is to propose a scale-invariant ADCD framework capable to upscale images, addressing this issue. We propose an improvised ADCD framework as SEMI-SuperYOLO-NAS, which builds upon the baseline YOLO-NAS architecture. This framework integrates a SR assisted branch to aid in learning HR features by the defect detection backbone, particularly for detecting nano-scale defect instances from LR images. Additionally, the SR-assisted branch can recursively generate upscaled images from their corresponding downscaled counterparts, enabling defect detection inference across various image resolutions without requiring explicit training. Moreover, we investigate improved data augmentation strategy aimed at generating diverse and realistic training datasets to enhance model performance. We have evaluated our proposed approach using two original FAB datasets obtained from two distinct processes and captured using two different imaging tools. Finally, we demonstrate zero-shot inference for our model on a new, originating from a process condition distinct from the training dataset and possessing different Pitch characteristics. Experimental validation demonstrates that our proposed ADCD framework aids in increasing the throughput of imaging tools for defect inspection by reducing the required image pixel resolutions.

36. Competing topological phases in a non-Hermitian time-reversal symmetry-broken Bernevig-Hughes-Zhang model

Abstract: The Bernevig-Hughes-Zhang (BHZ) model, which serves as a cornerstone in the study of the quantum spin Hall insulators, showcases robust spin-filtered helical edge states in a nanoribbon geometry. In the presence of an in-plane magnetic field, these (first-order) helical states gap out to be replaced by second-order corner states under suitable open-boundary conditions. Here, we show that the inclusion of a spin-dependent non-Hermitian balanced gain/loss potential induces a competition between these first and second-order topological phases. Surprisingly, the previously dormant first-order helical edge states in the nanoribbon resurface as the non-Hermitian effect intensifies, effectively neutralizing the role played by the magnetic field. By employing the projected spin spectra and the spin Chern number, we conclusively explain the resurgence of the first-order topological properties in the time-reversal symmetry-broken BHZ model in presence of non-Hermiticity. Finally, the biorthogonal spin-resolved Berry phase, exhibiting a non-trivial winding, definitively establishes the topological nature of these revived edge states, emphasizing the dominance of non-Hermiticity over the magnetic field., Comment: Published in Physical Review B

37. Breaking the Silence Detecting and Mitigating Gendered Abuse in Hindi, Tamil, and Indian English Online Spaces

Abstract: Online gender-based harassment is a widespread issue limiting the free expression and participation of women and marginalized genders in digital spaces. Detecting such abusive content can enable platforms to curb this menace. We participated in the Gendered Abuse Detection in Indic Languages shared task at ICON2023 that provided datasets of annotated Twitter posts in English, Hindi and Tamil for building classifiers to identify gendered abuse. Our team CNLP-NITS-PP developed an ensemble approach combining CNN and BiLSTM networks that can effectively model semantic and sequential patterns in textual data. The CNN captures localized features indicative of abusive language through its convolution filters applied on embedded input text. To determine context-based offensiveness, the BiLSTM analyzes this sequence for dependencies among words and phrases. Multiple variations were trained using FastText and GloVe word embeddings for each language dataset comprising over 7,600 crowdsourced annotations across labels for explicit abuse, targeted minority attacks and general offences. The validation scores showed strong performance across f1-measures, especially for English 0.84. Our experiments reveal how customizing embeddings and model hyperparameters can improve detection capability. The proposed architecture ranked 1st in the competition, proving its ability to handle real-world noisy text with code-switching. 38. Black Hole Entropy for M-theory on the Quintic Threefold via F-theoretic Strings

For M-theory on elliptic Calabi-Yau threefolds this proceeds via its relation to F-theory in one higher dimension. Here we show how this method can be extended to M-theory on non-elliptic Calabi-Yau threefolds such as the quintic via conifold transition to elliptic threefolds. This leads to the computation of the black hole entropy through elliptic genera of the strings. However the Cardy formula for the computation of the black hole entropy of these strings fails because the relevant momentum excitations on the string are much smaller than the central charge of the strings. Abstract: The numerical treatment of fluid-particle systems is a very challenging problem because of the complex coupling phenomena occurring between the two phases. Although accurate mathematical modelling is available to address this kind of application, the computational cost of the numerical simulations is very expensive. The use of the most modern high-performance computing infrastructures could help to mitigate such an issue but not completely fix it. In this work, we develop a non-intrusive data-driven reduced order model (ROM) for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) - Discrete Element Method (DEM) simulations. The ROM is built using the proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) for the computation of the reduced basis space and the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) network for the computation of the reduced coefficients. We are interested in dealing both with system identification and prediction. The most relevant novelties rely on (i) a filtering procedure of the full-order snapshots to reduce the dimensionality of the reduced problem and (ii) a preliminary treatment of the particle phase. The accuracy of our ROM approach is assessed against the classic Goldschmidt fluidized bed benchmark problem. 40. Half-metallic transport and spin-polarized tunneling through the van der Waals ferromagnet Fe${_4}$GeTe$_{2}$

Abstract: The recent emergence of van der Waals (vdW) ferromagnets has opened new opportunities for designing spintronic devices. We theoretically investigate the coherent spin-dependent transport properties of the vdW ferromagnet Fe$_4$GeTe$_2$, by using density functional theory combined with the non-equilibrium Green's functions method. We find that the conductance in the direction perpendicular to the layers is half-metallic, namely it is entirely spin-polarized, as a result of the material's electronic structure. This characteristic persists from bulk to single layer, even under significant bias voltages, and it is little affected by spin-orbit coupling and electron correlation. Motivated by this observation, we then investigate the tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR) effect in an magnetic tunnel junction, which comprises two Fe$_4$GeTe$_2$ layers separated by the vdW gap acting as insulating barrier. 41. Projective Quantum Eigensolver via Adiabatically Decoupled Subsystem Evolution: a Resource Efficient Approach to Molecular Energetics in Noisy Quantum Computers

Abstract: Quantum computers hold immense potential in the field of chemistry, ushering new frontiers to solve complex many body problems that are beyond the reach of classical computers. However, noise in the current quantum hardware limits their applicability to large chemical systems. This work encompasses the development of a projective formalism that aims to compute ground-state energies of molecular systems accurately using Noisy Intermediate Scale Quantum (NISQ) hardware in a resource efficient manner. Our approach is reliant upon the formulation of a bipartitely decoupled parameterized ansatz within the disentangled unitary coupled cluster (dUCC) framework based on the principles of synergetics. Such decoupling emulates the total parameter optimization in a lower dimensional manifold, while a mutual synergistic relationship among the parameters is exploited to ensure characteristic accuracy. Without any pre-circuit measurements, our method leads to a highly compact fixed-depth ansatz with shallower circuits and fewer expectation value evaluations. Through analytical and numerical demonstrations, we demonstrate the method's superior performance under noise while concurrently ensuring requisite accuracy in future fault-tolerant systems. 43. Operational Ergotropy: suboptimality of the geodesic drive

Abstract: We put forth a notion of optimality for extracting ergotropic work, derived from an energy constraint governing the necessary dynamics for work extraction in a quantum system. Within the traditional ergotropy framework, which predicts an infinite set of equivalent pacifying unitaries, we demonstrate that the optimal choice lies in driving along the geodesic connecting a given state to its corresponding passive state. Moreover, in a practical scenario where unitaries are inevitably affected by environmental factors, we refine the existing definition of ergotropy and introduce the notion of operational ergotropy. It enables the characterization of work extraction in noisy scenarios. We find that for certain typical noise models, the optimal choice which governs the Schrodinger part of the dynamics, aligns with the optimal drive in the unperturbed scenario. However, we demonstrate that such optimality is not universal by presenting an explicit counterexample. Abstract: In the past decade, display technology has been reimagined to meet the needs of the virtual world. By mapping information onto a scene through a transparent display, users can simultaneously visualize both the real world and layers of virtual elements. However, advances in augmented reality (AR) technology have primarily focused on wearable gear or personal devices. Here we present a single display capable of delivering visual information to observers positioned on either side of the transparent device. This dual-sided display system employs a polymer stabilized liquid crystal waveguide technology to achieve a transparency window of 65% while offering active-matrix control. An early-stage prototype exhibits full-color information via time-sequential processing of a red-green-blue (RGB) light-emitting diode (LED) strip. Abstract: We report on a search for a resonance $X$ decaying to a pair of muons in $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow \mu^+ \mu^- X$ events in the 0.212-9.000 GeV/$c^{2}$ mass range, using 178 fb$^{-1}$ of data collected by the BelleII experiment at the SuperKEKB collider at a center of mass energy of 10.58 GeV. The analysis probes two different models of $X$ beyond the standard model: a $Z^{\prime}$ vector boson in the $L_{\mu}-L_{\tau}$ model and a muonphilic scalar. We observe no evidence for a signal and set exclusion limits at the 90$\%$ confidence level on the products of cross section and branching fraction for these processes, ranging from 0.046 fb to 0.97 fb for the $L_{\mu}-L_{\tau}$ model and from 0.055 fb to 1.3 fb for the muonphilic scalar model. For masses below 6 GeV/$c^{2}$, the corresponding constraints on the couplings of these processes to the standard model range from 0.0008 to 0.039 for the $L_{\mu}-L_{\tau}$ model and from 0.0018 to 0.040 for the muonphilic scalar model. These are the first constraints on the muonphilic scalar from a dedicated search.

Abstract: We report a measurement of decay-time dependent charge-parity ($CP$) asymmetries in $B^0 \rightarrow K^0_S K^0_S K^0_S$ decays. We use $387 \times 10^6 B\bar{B}$ pairs collected at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance with the Belle II detector at the SuperKEKB asymmetric-energy electron-positron collider. We reconstruct 220 signal events and extract the $CP$-violating parameters $S$ and $C$ from a fit to the distribution of the decay-time difference between the two $B$ mesons. The resulting confidence region is consistent with previous measurements in $B^0 \rightarrow K^0_S K^0_S K^0_S$ and $B^0 \rightarrow (c\bar{c})K^0$ decays, and with predictions based on the standard model., Comment: 10 pages, 5 figures

47. Phase space analysis of sign-shifting interacting dark energy models

Abstract: The theory of non-gravitational interaction between a pressure-less dark matter (DM) and dark energy (DE) is a phenomenologically rich cosmological domain which has received magnificent attention in the community. In the present article we have considered some interacting scenarios with some novel features: the interaction functions do not depend on the external parameters of the universe, rather, they depend on the intrinsic nature of the dark components; the assumption of unidirectional flow of energy between DM and DE has been extended by allowing the possibility of bidirectional energy flow characterized by some sign shifting interaction functions; and the DE equation of state has been considered to be either constant or dynamical in nature. These altogether add new ingredients in this context, and, we performed the phase space analysis of each interacting scenario in order to understand their global behaviour. According to the existing records in the literature, this combined picture has not been reported elsewhere. From the analyses, we observed that the DE equation of state as well as the coupling parameter(s) of the interaction models can significantly affect the nature of the critical points. It has been found that within these proposed sign shifting interacting scenarios, it is possible to obtain stable late time attractors which may act as global attractors corresponding to an accelerating expansion of the universe. 48. Neurological disorders leading to mechanical dysfunction of the esophagus: an emergent behavior of a neuromechanical dynamical system

Abstract: An understanding how neurological disorders lead to mechanical dysfunction of the esophagus requires knowledge of the neural circuit of the enteric nervous system. Historically, this has been elusive. Here, we present an empirically guided neural circuit for the esophagus. It has a chain of unidirectionally coupled relaxation oscillators, receiving excitatory signals from stretch receptors along the esophagus. The resulting neuromechanical model reveals complex patterns and behaviors that emerge from interacting components in the system. A wide variety of clinically observed normal and abnormal esophageal responses to distension are successfully predicted. Specifically, repetitive antegrade contractions (RACs) are conclusively shown to emerge from the coupled neuromechanical dynamics in response to sustained volumetric distension. Normal RACs are shown to have a robust balance between excitatory and inhibitory neuronal populations, and the mechanical input through stretch receptors. When this balance is affected, contraction patterns akin to motility disorders are observed. For example, clinically observed repetitive retrograde contractions emerge due to a hyper stretch sensitive wall. Such neuromechanical insights could be crucial to eventually develop targeted pharmacological interventions.

49. Direct and retrograde signal propagation in unidirectionally coupled Wilson-Cowan oscillators

Abstract: Certain biological systems exhibit both direct and retrograde propagating wave signals, despite unidirectional neural coupling. However, there is no model to explain this. Therefore, the underlying physics of reversing the signal's direction for one-way coupling remains unclear. Here, we resolve this issue using a Wilson-Cowan oscillators network. By analyzing the limit cycle period of various coupling configurations, we determine that intrinsic frequency differences among oscillators control wave directionality.

50. $\ast$-conformal Einstein solitons on N(k)-contact metric manifolds

Abstract: The main goal of this paper is devoted to N(k)-contact metric manifolds admitting $\ast$-conformal Einstein soliton and also $\ast$-conformal gradient Einstein soliton. In this settings the nature of the manifold, and the potential vector field, potential function of solitons are characterized, and conditions for the $\ast$-conformal Einstein soliton to be expanding, steady, or shrinking are also given. Furthermore, the nature of the potential vector field is evolved when the metric g of N(k)-contact metric manifold satisfies $\ast$-conformal gradient Einstein soliton. Finally, an illustrative example of a N(k)-contact metric manifold is discussed to verify our findings.
