AbstractPurposeSample and methodsResultsConclusionThis study aimed to explore the perspectives and experiences of healthcare academics regarding the impact of ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence (AI)-supported language model, on education and research.This qualitative study employed a phenomenological analysis approach. The study sample consisted of nine academics from the Faculty of Health Sciences at a university in Türkiye, selected through purposive sampling method. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, coded using the MAXQDA software, and analyzed using content analysis.The participants highlighted that while ChatGPT offers rapid access to information, it occasionally fails to provide current and accurate data. They also noted that the students’ misuse of ChatGPT for assignments and exams has a negative effect on their critical thinking and information retrieval skills. The academics reported that there is a need for expert oversight and verification of the data generated by ChatGPT.While ChatGPT offers significant benefits such as enhanced efficiency in academic research and education, it also presents challenges, including accuracy and ethical concerns. Institutions should integrate ChatGPT with clear guidelines to maximize its benefits while maintaining academic integrity. Future studies should explore the long-term impacts of AI tools, such as ChatGPT, on educational outcomes and their application across various disciplines. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The purpose of the study was to show the effects of drug management, home arrangements, and exercise combined program on falling and quality of life in older adults. The multidisiplinary study was conducted with 41 participants aged 65-74 years registered with three Family Health Centers. A combined program which consist of drug management, home arrangements, and exercise program was applied them individually for six months. Data were collected by self-report using a Sociodemographic Form, Domestic Environmental Risk Factors of Falling Form, Fall Risk Assessment Scale, SF-36 Quality of Life Scale, and Follow-up Form. The mean age of the participants was 69.1 ± 3.1 years, and were (F/M:37/4). After three and six months the domestic environmental risk factors of falling, fall numbers, risk and SF-36 quality of life subscales decreased significantly compared to baseline assessment (p<.05). The multidisciplinary program reduced the number of falls, the risk of falling and improved quality of life. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study, conducted using the descriptive-correlational model, aims to evaluate the content, reliability, and quality of insulin pen injection videos on YouTube. The video-sharing platform YouTube was searched with the keyword "insulin pen injection." Of the 101 relevant videos, 49 were included in the study. Video contents were evaluated independently by the "Insulin Pen Injection Guide Form," their reliability by the "DISCERN Questionnaire," and their quality by the "Global Quality Scale." Of the 49 videos that met the inclusion criteria, 55.1% contained useful information, and 44.8% contained misleading information. The videos that were found to be useful were longer and had higher DISCERN and content scores. A statistically significant positive correlation was determined between the videos' DISCERN and content scores ( r = 0.772, P < .001). More than half of the insulin pen injection videos available on YouTube are helpful, but the number of misleading videos is close to the helpful ones. Thus, it may be recommended that the insulin pen injection videos be evaluated by experts in line with evidence-based guidelines before sharing them on YouTube., (Copyright © 2024 Wolters Kluwer Health, Inc.
