Abstract

The increasing demand for flexibility of automated production systems also affects the automated material flow systems (aMFS) they contain and demands reconfigurable systems. However, the centralized control concept usually applied in aMFS hinders an easy adaptation, as the entire control software has to be re-tested, when manually changing sub-parts of the control. As adaption and subsequent testing are a time-consuming task, concepts for splitting the control from one centralized to multiple, decentralized control nodes are required. Therefore, this paper presents a holistic agent-based control concept for aMFS, whereby the system is divided into so-called automated material flow modules (aMFM), each being controlled by a dedicated module agent. The concept allows the reconfiguration of aMFS, consisting of heterogeneous, stationary aMFM, during runtime. Furthermore, it includes aspects such as uniform agent knowledge bases through metamodel-based development, a communication ontology considering different information types and properties, strategic route optimization in decentralized control architecture and a visualization concept to make decisions of the module agents comprehensible to operators and maintenance staff. Abstract

Die zunehmende Digitalisierung und Autonomisierung der Logistik führen zu einem grundlegenden Wandel für die Mitarbeitenden und ihre Aufgaben. Hierfür müssen Qualifizierungsstrategien entwickelt werden, welche Kompetenzanforderungen beinhalten. Die Arbeit stellt eine Methode für das Kompetenzmanagement dar. Basierend auf einer tätigkeitsorientierten Beschreibung der Logistikprozesse und einem Kompetenzmodell für die operativen und dispositiven Tätigkeiten erfolgt die Ermittlung von Kompetenzanforderungen sowie die Ableitung von Qualifizierungsbedarfen., The increasing digitalization and autonomization of logistics are leading to a fundamental change for employees and their tasks. Qualification strategies must be developed for this, which include competency requirements. The work presents a method for competency management. Based on a task-oriented description of the logistics processes and a competency model for the operative and dispositive jobs, the determination of competency requirements as well as the derivation of qualification needs is realized.

Abstract

This work focuses on methods for electromagnetic analysis and performance evaluation of UHF-RFID systems to enhance the planning and system-integration process. This includes the analysis of performance degrading effects occurring in close proximity of RFID tags, as well as the assessment of the large-scale signal coverage in operational environments. Shortcomings of state-of-the-art methods are investigated and novel evaluation techniques based on accurate full-wave data are proposed., Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit Methoden zur elektromagnetischen Analyse und Leistungsbewertung von UHF-RFID-Systemen, mit dem Ziel den Planungs- und Systemintegrationsprozess zu verbessern. Dies umfasst die Analyse von beeinträchtigenden Effekten in unmittelbarer Nähe von RFID-Tags, sowie die Bewertung der großflächigen Signalabdeckung in Betriebsumgebungen. Die Unzulänglichkeiten aktueller Methoden werden untersucht und neue Bewertungsvorgehen basierend auf genauen Vollwellen-Daten präsentiert.

Abstract

This dissertation proposes an approach that integrates predictive maintenance models with production and maintenance scheduling. A generative deep learning model was applied to derive an operation-specific health indicator for subsequent scheduling. Finally, the approach was tested using simulated and real industrial data and was prototypically implemented in the automotive industry., Diese Dissertation präsentiert einen ganzheitlichen Ansatz, der Predictive-Maintenance-Modelle mit der Produktions- und Instandhaltungsplanung integriert. Der Ansatz beinhaltet ein generatives Deep-Learning-Modell, um einen operationsspezifischen Gesundheitsindikator aus industriellen Zustandsüberwachungsdaten abzuleiten. Mittels simulierter und realen Daten aus der Industrie wurde der Ansatz getestet und abschließend prototypisch in der Automobilindustrie implementiert.

Abstract

In dieser Arbeit wurde ein Untersuchungsmodell entwickelt, welches die wesentlichen Planungsprobleme und deren Einfluss auf die Leistungsfähigkeit von hybriden Kommissioniersysteme analysiert. Das konzipierte Modell wurde im Anschluss in eine Simulationsumgebung überführt. Darauf aufbauend wurde eine Parameterstudie durchgeführt. Die erlangten Erkenntnisse sind anschließend in allgemeingültige Strategien zum Betrieb von hybriden Kommissioniersystemen zusammengefasst worden., In this dissertation, a research model has been developed that analyzes the main planning problems and their influence on the performance of hybrid order picking systems. The designed model was then transferred to a simulation environment. Based on this, a parameter study was conducted. The findings were then summarized in generally applicable strategies for the operation of hybrid order picking systems.

Das Ersatzteilmanagement ist aufgrund erhöhter Ersatzteilbestände und Kosten zumeist ineffizient ausgestaltet und innovative Konzepte sind bislang unzureichend umgesetzt. Um dieser Problematik zu begegnen, wird in der Arbeit eine Methodik für die Implementierung eines kooperativen Ersatzteilmanagements entwickelt und es werden erforderliche funktionale Module definiert. Die Methodik wird in einer Fallstudie erprobt und ermöglicht eine deutliche Bestands- und Kostenoptimierung., Due to increased spare parts inventories and costs, spare parts management is mostly inefficiently organized and innovative concepts have been insufficiently implemented so far. To address this issue, the thesis develops a methodology for the implementation of a cooperative spare parts management and defines required functional modules. The methodology is evaluated in a case study and enables significant inventory and cost optimization.
