The reform of public sector accounting is accompanied by the need to address problems related to the identification, valuation and recording of fixed assets and museum holdings. The presence of deficiencies in the accounting and control of such assets affects the rationality of spending budget funds and reduces the efficiency of the functioning of budgetary institutions. The article proposes a theoretical substantiation of the possibilities for the development and improvement of the reflection of museum funds, taking into account the experience of accounting for fixed assets of the public sector, substantiates an approach to the procedure for assessing and recognizing such values (objects), the documenting system and the scheme of their entry into institutions. To achieve comprehensiveness in matters of increasing the efficiency of the use of museum funds in the process of activity, the issues of organizing and monitoring the named values are considered, highlighting the tasks and methods of their implementation. The proposals are based on the analysis of management requests and challenges. The study is based on the rules, principles and procedures of accounting and control, which form the basis of their organization, methodology and practice. Their use allows you to systematize and generalize recommendations on the structure and procedure of the accounting and control process of fixed assets and museum funds of the public sector. These methods include: a critical analysis of legislative provisions, an assessment of the existing accounting and control systems by monitoring the level of provision of management requests, generalization of positive experience and modeling of their improved structures. In general, this will lead to an increase in the efficiency of the use of fixed assets and museum funds in the public sector. In the future, it is advisable to analyze the study of the above issues in the context of strengthening the relationship between accounting and stock accounting, as well as the formation of their unified computer information system. It is a well-established fact that the travel, hospitality, and leisure industry is heavily reliant on external financing to fund their fixed assets component. Thus, firms may increase or decrease their debt levels depending on their financing needs. We examine the association between changes in leverage and economic performance of a firm and contend that changes in leverage contain information about the performance of firms and hence are value relevant. Using a sample of 164 listed US firms, we observe that change s in leverage are indeed value relevant. Additionally, given that the level of capital intensity varies significantly within the various subsector groups in the industry, we also investigate the value effects of changes in leverage in the sub sectors.

This paper investigates the relationship between a region's cultural inclusion and its residents’ social trust. Based on the individual-level survey data from China, we find a positive correlation between cultural inclusion and average levels of social trust at the city level. When instrumenting culture inclusion using government spending on the construction of culture and fixed assets, we find a consistent positive correlation between cultural inclusion and social trust. We also find that higher levels of cultural inclusion are positively correlated with the happiness and optimistic social attitudes of residents and are negatively correlated with the probability of misperception and conflicts.

The source(s) of competitive advantage of emerging-economy multinational enterprises (MNEs) remains a puzzle in international strategy scholarship, with some arguing that such firms are at a disadvantage compared to developed-economy rivals. Drawing on the concept of institutional advantage and using a sample of 233 foreign subsidiaries operating in 25 emerging economies over the period of 2000–2017, we find that foreign subsidiaries of emerging-economy MNEs are more adept than foreign subsidiaries of developed-economy MNEs at deploying their fixed asset management capabilities in emerging-economy host countries, especially when host-country politico-regulatory institutions are underdeveloped. Likewise, we find that subsidiaries of emerging-economy MNEs are more adept at deploying their tax planning capabilities when host-country politico-regulatory institutions become increasingly volatile. We discuss how these findings contribute to scholarly thought regarding the performance of emerging-economy MNEs.

Scientific evaluation of the interaction between urbanization and the eco-environmental system in Central China is of great significance. To optimizing the quality of urbanization and improving the eco-environmental state. As a case study of Central China, this research attempts to build a set of analytical systems to realize the integrated deconstruction from analyzing comprehensive evaluation indexes, quantification of coupling coordination, spatiotemporal evolution traits, decoupling path exploration to influential factor analysis. It tries to clarify the differences between cities, identify problematic areas, and propose targeted improvement measures. The outcomes show that the urbanization level of the cities in Central China has been improved significantly. In contrast, their eco-environmental levels are fluctuating, with the growth rate lower than that of urbanization. The coordination level between the two systems is rising, changing from primary dysfunction to intermediate coordination. The coordination level is characterized by obvious spatial association dominated by Types H–H and L-L and ever-increasing agglomeration. The decoupling between the two systems only falls into two types: strong decoupling and relative decoupling with expansion, indicating a negative effect between them. There is a problem regarding negative urbanization development. The factors including energy consumption, investment in fixed assets, opening to the outside world, technological progress, and government management capabilities all have an impact on the coordination of the two with divergent significances.
