The super τ-charm facility (STCF) is an electron–positron collider proposed by the Chinese particle physics community. It is designed to operate in a center-of-mass energy range from 2 to 7 GeV with a peak luminosity of 0.5 × 1035 cm−2·s−1 or higher. The STCF will produce a data sample about a factor of 100 larger than that of the present τ-charm factory — the BEPCII, providing a unique platform for exploring the asymmetry of matter-antimatter (charge-parity violation), in-depth studies of the internal structure of hadrons and the nature of non-perturbative strong interactions, as well as searching for exotic hadrons and physics beyond the Standard Model. The STCF project in China is under development with an extensive R&D program. This document presents the physics opportunities at the STCF, describes conceptual designs of the STCF detector system, and discusses future plans for detector R&D and physics case studies. This review is dedicated to electronics materials enabling thin‐film‐based neural interface and bioelectronics devices. First‐generation bioelectronic medicine devices feature hand‐crafted bulk interface electrodes, wires and interconnects, and insulators. This review discusses how modern materials science, especially know‐how repurposed from semiconductor and microdevice technologies, enables next‐generation bioelectronics. Those are divided into two subgroups: second and third generation. The former refers to rigid microscaled devices, while the latter is defined as soft, ultrathin, and flexible microdevices. A critical assessment of different biointerface electrodes, conductors for interconnects, and insulators for substrates, passivation, and encapsulation layers is made. The goal is not to give an exhaustive account of every use‐example of given materials, but to point out specific aspects that are relevant to making the right choices for materials for a given device or application. Unique advantages of specific materials are highlighted, while also focusing on weaker points and caveats that those materials may have. The goal is to have an up‐to‐date handbook for persons entering the field which also points out tips and tricks as well as challenging problems that researchers can be inspired to confront and overcome. Studies of the sources and structure of the Octavius have for long concluded that there lays no authorial intention that is not merely rhetorical behind the "mosaistic" mode of composition of Minucius Felix's apologetic dialogue, its borrowings from Cicero (especially his De natura deorum) being a mere tribute to the dialogic tradition and its bipartite framework mindlessly reproducing the rhetorical exercise of the controversia (thesis-antithesis). The present investigation aims to surpass this "reductionistic approach" by studying not only the structure of the dialogue but also the contents of its exordium (Chapters 2–4) and its epilogus (Chapters 39–40)—all of which betray Minucius Felix's intentions to present his work as an exhortatio (ad Christianitatem) on the model of Cicero's Hortensius. Moreover, we contend that by assuming for the Octavius the form of a protreptic discourse—with its essentially undogmatic character and curricular dependency upon further dogmatic instruction—, we might open up novel horizons from which making sense of two of the most ingrained interpretative problems hitherto emerged in Minucian studies: the Octavius' dogmatic silence, and the apocryphal character of Minucius' De fato. The central issue facing the world's first nations was historically and remains today the question of access to and use of the territory they occupy. Peoples' migrations, occupations, and colonization have continued as part of human relations for more than 60,000 years. Over this time, relations between emerging nations featured one nation being absorbed by another, some becoming associated through social mixing and independent nations remaining independent from one another. Peoples achieve these cultural processes through forced absorption, cultural exchange, or recognition of the equality of power. These changes continue today, except that the establishment of permanent boundaries around nations or combined nations has forced the need for structures and processes for mediating relations between nations that were forced inside bounded areas of states. These circumstance demands determining whether nations will remain "absorbed, associated or become independent of modern states. Nations' claims over their territories come into conflict with States' claims over the same regions-a circumstance exacerbated by the economic and business interests of transnational corporations and commercial enterprises seeking to profit from the location of nations' territories or access to undeveloped subsurface raw materials, lands, forests, surface minerals and soils supportive of agriculture. Nations and States constitute the primary political systems of human organization required under modern state-based international law to implement the principle of free, prior, and informed consent (FPIC). However, without a formal and enforceable mechanism to carry out international and domestic pledges intended to implement nations' rights to "consent," the imbalance of power between nations and their counterparts in states and corporations leaves nations depending on their opponent's implementation is possible. This article discusses subjects of concern between nations, states, transnational cmporations, and commercial businesses. Given limited FPIC details expressed in state-based laws and agreements, neither states nor nations can be assured of an acceptable and defined process for reaching mutual agreements or methods for enforcing commitments made by consenting parties. Defining the establishment and functions of intergovernmental or non-governmental monitoring mechanisms that may serve as agencies for facilitating mediation or negotiations between nations and states, I discuss these in detail. The first section of this essay examines the recent emergence of the "vaccine apartheid" system produced by the collaboration of North Atlantic States' intellectual property (IP) regime, monopoly capitalism, and powerful international organizations such as the World Trade Organization (WTO) and transnational drug conglomerates. The second section elaborates on the perilous impact of "vaccine apartheid," including the creation of so-called "vaccine untouchables" composed of indigenous peoples around the globe who have been largely shut off from the medical and scientific benefits of vaccination.2 The presence of this "disposable" population serves to ensure continually emerging forms of new virus variants, thereby creating a potential market for further vaccine production and the maximization of future corporate profits. The third section explores the possibility of sharing vaccine recipes and developing globalized vaccine production as a viable strategic alternative to the IP regime, thereby leading to the eradication of "vaccine apartheid" and the vilified presence of "vaccine untouchables." While innovative mRNA vaccines were largely developed by publicly funded research in North Atlantic states, the profit deriving from medical innovations has been privatized through the state-corporate collaboration. This section also examines the efforts by socialist states, including Cuba and others, to develop their own vaccines, make vaccine recipes available, and produce them for a global vaccination effort, involving indigenous peoples around the world. The fourth and final section summarizes strategies to help prevent recurrences of "vaccine genocide" in relation to indigenous peoples. Since nearly 80% of the earth's biodiversity remains in indigenous homelands, it is vital that states and corporations cultivate close collaborative relations with indigenous peoples around the globe to prevent further destruction of biodiversity and natural ecology, thus eliminating the likelihood of future zoonotic virus pandemics and their deadly consequences.
