Spacecraft magnetic field measurements are able to tell us much about the planets' interior dynamics, composition, and evolutionary timeline. Magnetic fields also serve as the source for passive magnetic sounding of moons. Time‐varying magnetic fields experienced by the moons, due to relative planetary motion, interact electrically with conductive layers within these bodies (including salty subsurface oceans) to produce induced magnetic fields that are measurable by nearby, magnetometer‐equipped spacecraft. Many factors influence the character of the induced field, including the precise amplitude and phase of the time‐varying field, known as the excitation or driving field and represented by excitation moments. In this work, we present an open‐source Matlab software package named PlanetMag that features calculation of planetary magnetic field models available in the literature at arbitrary positions and times. The implemented models enable simultaneous inversion of the excitation moments across a range of oscillation frequencies using linear least‐squares methods and ephemeris data with the SPICE toolkit. Here we summarize the available magnetic field models and their associated coordinate systems. Precisely determined excitation moments are a critical input to forward models of global induced fields. Our results serve as a prerequisite to any precise comparison to spacecraft data for magnetic sounding investigation of giant planet moons—connecting the induced magnetic field to a moon's interior requires accurate representation of the oscillating excitation field. We calculate complex excitation moments relative to the J2000 epoch and share the results as ASCII tables compatible with related software packages intended for induction response calculations. Plain Language Summary: Planetary magnetic fields tell us much about a planet's interior, composition, and history. Magnetic fields are also useful for remotely probing the interior of their moons, especially for finding and characterizing potential subsurface oceans. Liquid‐water oceans within the solar system are ideal places to search for habitable environments beyond Earth. Relating spacecraft magnetic measurements to the interior properties of the moons requires an understanding of various related components, including the manner in which the magnetic field applied to the moon changes with time. We have developed an open‐source software package called PlanetMag that uses published magnetic field models to estimate the magnetic field at any point in time and space. It also has the ability to precisely estimate the planetary field oscillations at the location of each large moon in the solar system, which is needed for prediction of the magnetic field response from the moon. Calculations of these magnetic oscillations are provided in text files compatible with existing software. Objective: To describe patterns of cancer treatment and live birth outcomes that followed a cancer diagnosis during pregnancy. Study Design: The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Horizon Study is an observational study evaluating outcomes in survivors of the five most common types of cancer in this age group (15-39 years old). Of the 23,629 individuals identified diagnosed with breast, lymphoma, thyroid, melanoma, or gynecological cancer in North Carolina (2000-2015) and California (2004-2016), we identified 555 live births to individuals who experienced cancer diagnosis during pregnancy. Births to individuals diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy were matched ∼1:5 on maternal age and year of delivery to live births to individuals without a cancer diagnosis ( N = 2,667). Multivariable Poisson regression was used to compare birth outcomes between pregnancies affected by a cancer diagnosis and unaffected matched pregnancies. Results: Cancer diagnosis during pregnancy was associated with an increased risk of preterm delivery (prevalence ratio [PR] 2.70; 95% confidence interval [CI] 2.24, 3.26); very preterm delivery (PR 1.74; 95% CI 1.12, 2.71); induction of labor (PR 1.48; 95% CI 1.27, 1.73); low birth weight (PR 1.97; 95% CI 1.55, 2.50); and cesarean delivery (PR 1.18; 95% CI 1.04, 1.34) but not associated with low Apgar score (PR 0.90; 95% CI 0.39, 2.06). In our sample, 41% of patients received chemotherapy, half of whom initiated chemotherapy during pregnancy, and 86% received surgery, 58% of whom had surgery during pregnancy. Of the 19% who received radiation, all received radiation treatment following pregnancy. Conclusion: We identified an increased risk of birth outcomes, including preterm and very preterm delivery, induction of labor, low birth weight, and cesarean delivery, to those experiencing a cancer diagnosis during pregnancy. This analysis contributes to the available evidence for those experiencing a cancer diagnosis during pregnancy.

The development of e-textiles necessitates the creation of highly conductive inks that are compatible with precise inkjet printing, which remains a key challenge. This work presents an innovative, syringe-based method to optimize a novel bio-sourced silver ink for inkjet printing on textiles. We investigate the relationships between inks' composition, rheological properties, and printing behavior, ultimately assessing the electrical performance of the fabricated circuits. Using Na-alginate and polyethylene glycol (PEG) as the suspension matrix, we demonstrate their viscosity depends on the component ratios. Rheological control of the silver nanoparticle-laden ink has become paramount for uniform printing on textiles. A specific formulation (3 wt.% AgNPs, 20 wt.% Na-alginate, 40 wt.% PEG, and 40 wt.% solvent) exhibits the optimal rheology, enabling the printing of 0.1 mm thick conductive lines with a low resistivity (8 × 10 -3 Ω/cm). Our findings pave the way for designing eco-friendly ink formulations that are suitable for inkjet printing flexible antennas and other electronic circuits onto textiles, opening up exciting possibilities for the next generation of E-textiles.

In the Indiana University Health (IUH) Medical Genetics clinic, certified genetic counselors disclose genetic test results to patients by telephone. The wait-time between a result call-out and a follow-up appointment can vary from weeks to months depending on the medical geneticist's availability. Understanding the experiences that families face during these waiting periods can inform the field regarding what clinical improvements can be made to enhance patients' experiences. Our study explored three topics: the effects of wait-times on parents or patients between a result disclosure and medical genetics follow-up appointment, their anxiety levels during those wait-times, and suggestions for improving parents' and patients' experiences with genetics clinics. Patients or parents who were over 18 years old, who received an initial result call-out between May 2020 and September 2022 prior to a medical genetics follow-up appointment, and who had a diagnostic or a variant of uncertain significance (VUS) genetic test result were recruited for study participation. Individuals were surveyed on their diagnosis, wait-time following result disclosure, feelings during the wait-time, and preferences for result disclosures. The results showed that length of wait-time after a result call-out was not associated with increased anxiety; however, a background in genetics and support group involvement were associated with increased anxiety. The majority of respondents reported that if a genetic counseling-only appointment could occur closer to the time of results call-out, they would prefer to have a genetic counseling-only appointment with a second appointment for medical management with a geneticist later (58.1%). Good communication is central to good healthcare. As a result of poor communication between parents and healthcare professionals (HCPs) in clinical settings, this study aimed to address this problem by developing a communication tool to empower parents and act as a prompt for HCPs to talk about the child's care and gather information at the point of admission to hospital about what is important to families, therefore supporting patient-centered communication. A design thinking process was used to develop a physical copy of Chloe's card and evaluate its use. Design thinking is a problem-solving approach, which uses an empathetic lens to integrate viewpoints of different stakeholders throughout the process of creating solutions. Design thinking involves five processes: (1) empathise-including a literature review and data synthesis, (2) define-by completing semi-structured interviews with parents about their experience of communication and HCPs perceptions of parent's experience of communication, (3) ideate-iterate the design of Chloe's card with parents and HCPs, (4) prototype-develop the design of Chloe's card, and (5) test-pilot test in clinical practice. Results from this initial study suggest that a small hand-held card, with emoticons and a place to write concerns, was acceptable to parents and feasible to use in clinical practice. Parents do not always feel heard by HCPs and a tool such as Chloe's card may help facilitate sharing of information about matters important to them and their child. However, some HCPs felt the need for a communication tool undermined their clinical skills. Feedback from HCP participants suggests that the idea of Chloe's card was acceptable and perceived as potentially being useful in clinical practice. Further work is required, as part of a larger study, to further refine this communication tool, identify those parents who would benefit most from Chloe's card, as well as to further refine the HCP process prior to implementing it into clinical settings. It was noted future iterations would benefit from a digital version linked with a child's electronic record, as well as multi-language versions and information for parents.

An original fully textile combiner is proposed to power supply sensors close to a body with only one centralized source of energy like a smartphone, for instance. A solution is provided for taking into account the requirements of an industrial production process that need to minimize needle movements during an embroidery process. Moreover, the paper shows how to support several wireless power transmission standards that already exist, i.e. NFC and A4WP, or will exist to satisfy the tremendous needs of energy for distributed systems in the IoT domain. In this paper, a new textile-based flexible wireless system enabling communication and energy harvesting is proposed. Analytical, numerical, and experimental studies have been conducted to demonstrate that the structure has two resonant frequencies at 6.8 MHz and 13.6 MHz, which make it suitable for NFC and A4WP standards. Moreover, the losses caused by the system are 2.76 dB and 1.91 dB for A4WP and NFC, respectively. The results are successively presented to highlight the specificities of such textile multi-coils combiners. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an important monogenic disease that affects more than 70 000 people worldwide. Defects of the CF transmembrane conductance regulator gene lead to dehydrated viscous secretions that result in chronic bacterial colonization. This leads to frequent recurrent lung infections called pulmonary exacerbations, lung inflammation, and resulting structural lung damage called bronchiectasis. Pseudomonas aeruginosa in particular is a common pathogen in persons with CF associated with increased pulmonary exacerbations, long-term lung function decline, and reduced survival. In addition, P. aeruginosa commonly develops antibiotic resistance and forms biofilms, making it difficult to treat. Here, we report the details of two patients with CF with pan-drug-resistant P. aeruginosa who were treated with a novel therapeutic strategy, bacteriophages. These cases highlight the need for further research and development of this treatment modality, including pediatric clinical trials.

Background: There are no effective treatments for brain tumor-related fatigue. We studied the feasibility of two novel lifestyle coaching interventions in fatigued brain tumor patients., Methods: This phase I/feasibility multi-center RCT recruited patients with a clinically stable primary brain tumor and significant fatigue (mean Brief Fatigue Inventory [BFI] score ≥ 4/10). Participants were randomized in a 1-1-1 allocation ratio to: Control (usual care); Health Coaching ("HC", an eight-week program targeting lifestyle behaviors); or HC plus Activation Coaching ("HC + AC", further targeting self-efficacy). The primary outcome was feasibility of recruitment and retention. Secondary outcomes were intervention acceptability, which was evaluated via qualitative interview, and safety. Exploratory quantitative outcomes were measured at baseline (T0), post-interventions (T1, 10 weeks), and endpoint (T2, 16 weeks)., Results: n = 46 fatigued brain tumor patients (T0 BFI mean = 6.8/10) were recruited and 34 were retained to endpoint, establishing feasibility. Engagement with interventions was sustained over time. Qualitative interviews ( n = 21) suggested that coaching interventions were broadly acceptable, although mediated by participant outlook and prior lifestyle. Coaching led to significant improvements in fatigue (improvement in BFI versus control at T1: HC=2.2 points [95% CI 0.6, 3.8], HC + AC = 1.8 [0.1, 3.4], Cohen's d [HC] = 1.9; improvement in FACIT-Fatigue: HC = 4.8 points [-3.7, 13.3]; HC + AC = 12 [3.5, 20.5], d [HC and AC] = 0.9). Coaching also improved depressive and mental health outcomes. Modeling suggested a potential limiting effect of higher baseline depressive symptoms., Conclusions: Lifestyle coaching interventions are feasible to deliver to fatigued brain tumor patients. They were manageable, acceptable, and safe, with preliminary evidence of benefit on fatigue and mental health outcomes.
