Background: Infertility and its treatment can be complex, difficult, and uncomfortable, especially for women. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the quality of life and health literacy of women. This study was conducted to evaluate the quality of life and health literacy in women receiving infertility treatment and to determine the relationship between them. Methods: The study, in which a descriptive design was used, was carried out with 186 women who received infertility treatment. Data were collected by a descriptive information form, the Fertility Quality of Life Questionnaire (FertiQoL), and the Turkiye Health Literacy Scale-32 (THLS-32). Results: The mean scores of participants were 61.73±16.71 on the total FertiQoL and 36.46±8.45 on the total THLS-32. The level of health literacy was inadequate in 7.5% of women, problematic/ limited in 28.5%, adequate in 31.7%, and excellent in 32.3%. There was no significant correlation between FertiQoL and THLS-32 scores (p>.05). Conclusion: In this study, it was determined that the quality of life and health literacy of women who received infertility treatment were not at the desired level. Aim: This study was conducted to determine the possibilities of maintaining genital hygiene and genital hygiene behaviors among women in reproductive age. Materials and methods: This descriptive study was conducted with 301 women admitted to the gynecology outpatient clinic of a university hospital between August and October 2022. The study data were collected using a descriptive information form and the Genital Hygiene Behavior Scale (GHBS). Results: Participants’ mean scores were found as 50.30±5.10 on the hygiene habits sub-dimension, 33.96±4.32 on the menstrual hygiene sub-dimension, 12.56±2.28 on the abnormal finding awareness sub-dimension, and 96.82±9.04 on the total GHBS. The mean GHBS scores of women who had primary education, lived in a large family, did not work in a paid job, had not received genital hygiene education, found their genital hygiene knowledge inadequate, had financial difficulties and felt embarrassed when purchasing genital hygiene products, had a fear of menstrual blood leakage, and experienced blood leakage accidents were lower (p<.05). While the most frequently used product for menstrual hygiene by 97.7% of women was sanitary pads, they also reported using washable pads (.7%), old clothes (.7%), washable period underwear (.3%), cotton (.3%), and toilet paper (.3%). It was determined that all of the women knew sanitary pads, 37.9% vaginal tampons, 27.2% washable pads, 26.2% washable period underwear, 15.3% menstrual cups, and 6% menstrual discs. Conclusion: In our study, although the mean scores of participants on genital hygiene behavior looked good, it was determined that the scores of some featured groups were low. In addition, it was determined that women did not have enough knowledge about sustainable hygienic products. Nurses and midwives should evaluate the genital hygiene behavior of the women for whom they provide care, and inform and provide them with counseling about deficient or faulty practices in terms of protecting and promoting their health. Hysterosalpingography is a stressful procedure that causes pain and anxiety. Therefore, measures must be taken to reduce or eliminate the pain and anxiety associated with it. This paper investigated the effect of virtual reality (VR) during hysterosalpingography on pain, anxiety, fear, physiological parameters, and satisfaction. A randomized controlled trial design was used. Patients were randomized into two groups (VR group = 31, control group = 31). The study was conducted between April 26 and June 30, 2022. Anxiety was evaluated using the State Anxiety Inventory. Pain, fear, and satisfaction were evaluated using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). Temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation were followed up. There was a significant difference in the mean VAS scores during and 15 min after hysterosalpingography between the VR and control groups. There was no significant difference in the mean SAI scores between the groups. The VR group participants were significantly more satisfied with hysterosalpingography than the control group. There was no significant difference in physiological parameters just before, immediately after, and 15 min after hysterosalpingography between the groups. Virtual reality helps patients experience less pain and fear and makes them more satisfied with hysterosalpingography. However, it does not affect their anxiety and vital signs. This randomized controlled study was conducted to determine the effect of the approach based on the Neuman Systems Model (NSM) on stress and coping in women receiving intrauterine insemination (IUI) treatment. The study participants consisted of 62 women. Data was collected using a personal information form, the COMPI Fertility Problem Stress Scale, and the COMPI Coping Strategy Scale. Women in the intervention group had lower stress levels in their personal and marital domain post-test median scores than those in the control group. Women in the intervention group also had lower active-avoidance coping method and higher meaning-based coping method post-test mean scores. The NSM-based approach is beneficial in decreasing stress and positively affects women to cope with stress. Both infertility and its treatments are stressful. Health care professionals have important responsibilities for reducing the stress of infertile women and strengthening infertile women's ability to cope. The NSM-based approach is considered to have positive effects on stress and the ability of women to cope who receive IUI treatments. In addition, IUI is a widely applied method which is used before switching to assisted reproductive techniques. If this treatment fails, the stress coping techniques learned during this treatment can be used in later treatment processes.
