Background: Sensory stimulation can play a fundamental role in the activation of the primary sensorimotor cortex (S1-M1), which can promote motor learning and M1 plasticity in stroke patients. However, studies have focused mainly on investigating the influence of brain lesion profiles on the activation patterns of S1-M1 during motor tasks instead of sensory tasks. Therefore, the objective of this study is to explore the lesion-specific activation patterns due to different brain lesion profiles and types during focal vibration (FV). Methods: In total 52 subacute stroke patients were recruited in this clinical experiment, including patients with basal ganglia hemorrhage/ischemia, brainstem ischemia, other subcortical ischemia, cortical ischemia, and mixed cortical–subcortical ischemia. Electroencephalograms (EEG) were recorded following a resting state lasting for 4 min and three sessions of FV. FV was applied over the muscle belly of the affected limb's biceps for 3 min each session. Beta motor-related EEG power desynchronization overlying S1-M1 was used to indicate the activation of S1-M1, while the laterality coefficient (LC) of the activation of S1-M1 was used to assess the interhemispheric asymmetry of brain activation. Results: (1) Regarding brain lesion profiles, FV could lead to the significant activation of bilateral S1-M1 in patients with basal ganglia ischemia and other subcortical ischemia. The activation of ipsilesional S1-M1 in patients with brainstem ischemia was higher than that in patients with cortical ischemia. No activation of S1-M1 was observed in patients with lesions involving cortical regions. (2) Regarding brain lesion types, FV could induce the activation of bilateral S1-M1 in patients with basal ganglia hemorrhage, which was significantly higher than that in patients with basal ganglia ischemia. Additionally, LC showed no significant correlation with the modified Barthel index (MBI) in all patients, but a positive correlation with MBI in patients with basal ganglia lesions. Conclusions: These results reveal that sensory stimulation can induce lesion-specific activation patterns of S1-M1. This indicates FV could be applied in a personalized manner based on the lesion-specific activation of S1-M1 in stroke patients with different lesion profiles and types. A facile self-templated carbonization strategy is developed for fabrication of a bifunctional electrocatalyst with uniform distribution of F, N heteroatoms, mesoporous channels and abundant edge-defect by direct pyrolysis of F, N -containing covalent organic framework (F-COF) precursor. The designed catalyst exhibits excellent bifunctional catalytic activity with a small OER-ORR potential gap of 0.79 V. The construction of heteroatom-doped metal-free carbon catalysts with bifunctional catalytic activity for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) is highly desired for Zn-air batteries, but remains a great challenge owing to the sluggish kinetics of OER and ORR. Herein, a self-sacrificing template engineering strategy was employed to fabricate fluorine (F), nitrogen (N) co-doped porous carbon (F-NPC) catalyst by direct pyrolysis of F, N containing covalent organic framework (F-COF). The predesigned F and N elements were integrated into the skeletons of COF precursor, thus achieving uniformly distributed heteroatom active sites. The introduction of F is beneficial for the formation of edge-defects, contributing to the enhancement of the electrocatalytic activity. Attributing to the porous feature, abundant defect sites induced by F doping, as well as the strong synergistic effect between N and F atoms to afford a high intrinsic catalytic activity, the resulting F-NPC catalyst exhibits excellent bifunctional catalytic activities for both ORR and OER in alkaline mediums. Furthermore, the assembled Zn-air battery with F-NPC catalyst shows a high peak power density of 206.3 mW cm−2 and great stability, surpassing the commercial Pt/C + RuO 2 catalysts. Background: Tyrosine kinase and phosphoinositide kinase pathways play important roles in asthma formation. As a dual tyrosine and phosphoinositide kinase inhibitor, PP121 has shown anticancer efficacy in multiple tumors. However, the study of PP121 in pulmonary diseases is still limited. Herein, we investigated the therapeutic activities of PP121 in asthma treatment. Methods: Tension measurements and patch clamp recordings were made to investigate the anticontractile characteristics of PP121 in vitro. Then, an asthma mouse model was established to further explore the therapeutic characteristics of PP121 via measurement of respiratory system resistance, histological analysis and western blotting. Results: We discovered that PP121 could relax precontracted mouse tracheal rings (mTRs) by blocking certain ion channels, including L-type voltage-dependent Ca2+ channels (L-VDCCs), nonselective cation channels (NSCCs), transient receptor potential channels (TRPCs), Na+/Ca2+ exchangers (NCXs) and K+ channels, and accelerating calcium mobilization. Furthermore, PP121 relieved asthmatic pathological features, including airway hyperresponsiveness, systematic inflammation and mucus secretion, via downregulation of inflammatory factors, mucins and the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK)/Akt signaling pathway in asthmatic mice. Conclusion: In summary, PP121 exerts dual anti-contractile and anti-inflammatory effects in asthma treatment, which suggests that PP121 might be a promising therapeutic compound and shed new light on asthma therapy. Dengue virus (DENV) is a major mosquito-borne human pathogen in tropical countries; however, there are currently no targeted antiviral treatments for DENV infection. Compounds 27 and 29 have been reported to be allosteric inhibitors of DENV RdRp with potent inhibitory effects. In this study, the structures of compounds 27 and 29 were optimized using computer-aided drug design (CADD) approaches. Nine novel compounds were synthesized based on rational considerations, including molecular docking scores, free energy of binding to receptor proteins, predicted Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion, and Toxicity (ADMET) parameters, structural diversity, and feasibility of synthesis. Subsequently, the anti-DENV activity was assessed. In the cytopathic effect (CPE) assay conducted on BHK-21 cells using the DENV2 NGC strain, both SW-b and SW-d demonstrated comparable or superior activity against DENV2, with IC50 values of 3.58 ± 0.29 μM and 23.94 ± 1.00 μM, respectively, compared to that of compound 27 (IC50 = 19.67 ± 1.12 μM). Importantly, both SW-b and SW-d exhibited low cytotoxicity, with CC50 values of 24.65 μmol and 133.70 μmol, respectively, resulting in selectivity indices of 6.89 and 5.58, respectively. Furthermore, when compared to the positive control compound 3′-dATP (IC50 = 30.09 ± 8.26 μM), SW-b and SW-d displayed superior inhibitory activity in an enzyme inhibitory assay, with IC50 values of 11.54 ± 1.30 μM and 13.54 ± 0.32 μM, respectively. Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations elucidated the mode of action of SW-b and SW-d, highlighting their ability to enhance π–π packing interactions between benzene rings and residue W795 in the S1 fragment, compared to compounds 27 and 29. Although the transacylsulphonamide fragment reduced the interaction between T794 and NH, it augmented the interaction between R729 and T794. In summary, our study underscores the potential of SW-b and SW-d as allosteric inhibitors targeting the DENV NS5 RdRp domain. Studies have shown that the activation of the NOD-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome is detrimental to the functional recovery of the sciatic nerve, but the regulatory mechanisms of the NLRP3 inflammasome in peripheral nerves are unclear. C-X-C motif chemokine 12 (CXCL12) can bind to C-X-C chemokine receptor type 4 (CXCR4) and participate in a wide range of nerve inflammation by regulating the NLRP3 inflammasome. Based on these, we explore whether CXCL12-CXCR4 axis regulates the NLRP3 inflammasome in the peripheral nerve. We found that CXCR4/CXCL12, NLRP3 inflammasome-related components, pyroptosis-related proteins and inflammatory factors in the sciatic nerve injured rats were markedly increased compared with the sham-operated group. AMD3100, a CXCR4 antagonist, reverses the activation of NLRP3 inflammasome, Schwann cell pyroptosis and sciatic nerve demyelination. We further treated rat Schwann cells with LPS (lipopolysaccharide) and adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to mimic the cellular inflammation model of sciatic nerve injury, and the results were consistent with those in vivo. In addition, both in vivo and in vitro experiments demonstrated that AMD3100 treatment reduced the phosphorylation of nuclear factor κB (NF-κB) and the expression of thioredoxin interacting protein (TXNIP), which contributes to activating NLRP3 inflammasome. Therefore, our findings suggest that, after sciatic nerve injury, CXCL12-CXCR4 axis may promote Schwann cell pyroptosis and sciatic nerve demyelination through activating NLRP3 inflammasome and slow the recovery process of the sciatic nerve. We study the Lüroth problem for partial differential fields. The main result is the following partial differential analog of generalized Lüroth's theorem: Let F be a differential field of characteristic 0 with m commuting derivation operators, u = u 1 , ... , u n a set of differential indeterminates over F. We prove that an intermediate differential field G between F and F 〈 u 〉 is a simple differential extension of F if and only if the differential dimension polynomial of u over G is of the form ω u / G (t) = n ( t + m m ) − ( t + m − s m ) for some s ∈ N. This result generalizes the classical differential Lüroth's theorem proved by Ritt and Kolchin in the case m = n = 1. We then present an algorithm to decide whether a given finitely generated differential extension field of F contained in F 〈 u 〉 is a simple extension, and in the affirmative case, to compute a Lüroth generator. Simple Summary: Tomato yellow leaf curl disease is a serious problem for tomato farmers worldwide. This disease is caused by a group of viruses, namely, tomato yellow leaf curl viruses. These viruses are mainly transmitted by the sweet potato whitefly. After the virus is ingested by the whitefly through the process of feeding on diseased plants, the virus circulates in the body of the whitefly and infects its tissues. This virus–insect relationship can influence virus transmission. The life history and feeding preference of whiteflies may be affected by viral infection in a negative, neutral, or positive manner, depending on the species of virus and whitefly involved. The tomato yellow leaf curl Thailand virus (TYLCTHV) and the tomato leaf curl Taiwan virus (ToLCTV) are common in tomato fields in Taiwan. This study examined the direct and indirect effects of TYLCTHV and ToLCTV on the life history traits (longevity, fecundity, nymph survival, and nymph developmental time) and feeding preference of whiteflies. The results revealed that TYLCTHV did not affect the life history and feeding preference of the whiteflies. However, ToLCTV infection caused low fecundity and slow development when the whiteflies fed on diseased plants. ToLCTV infection also altered the feeding preference of the whiteflies. These findings could help explain why ToLCTV is less common than TYLCTHV in tomato fields in Taiwan. Tomato yellow leaf curl disease, caused by a group of closely related tomato yellow leaf curl viruses, is a major threat to tomato cultivation worldwide. These viruses are primarily transmitted by the sweet potato whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) in a persistent-circulative manner, wherein the virus circulates in the body of B. tabaci and infects its tissues. The complex relationship between viruses and whiteflies significantly influences virus transmission, with studies showing varying effects of the former on the life history and feeding preference of the latter. Whether these effects are direct or indirect, and whether they are negative, neutral, or positive, appears to depend on the specific interactions between virus and whitefly species. The results revealed that TYLCTHV had no effects on these life history traits or the feeding preference of MEAM1 whiteflies. Although ToLCTV did not directly affect the longevity and fecundity of MEAM1 whiteflies, their fecundity and the nymph developmental time were negatively affected by feeding on ToLCTV-infected plants. In addition, ToLCTV infection also altered the feeding preference of MEAM1 whiteflies. To calibrate airborne gravity gradiometers currently in development in China, it is urgent to build an airborne gravity gradiometer test site. The site's selection depends on the preknowledge of high-resolution gravity and gradient structures. The residual terrain modelling (RTM) technique is generally applied to recover the short-scale gravity field signals. However, due to limitations in the quality and resolution of density models, RTM terrain generally assumes a constant density. This assumption can introduce significant errors in areas with substantial density anomalies and of reggued terrain, such as volcano areas. In this study, we promote a method to determine a high-resolution gravity field by integrating long-wavelength signals generated by EGM2008 with short-wavelength signals from terrain relief and shallow density anomalies. These short wavelength signals are recovered using the RTM technique with both constant density and density anomalies obtained through the equivalent source layer (ESL) method, utilizing sparse terrestrial gravity measurements. Compared to the recovery rate of 54.62 % using the classical RTM method, the recovery rate increases to 86.22 % after involving density anomalies. With this method, we investigate the gravity field signals over the Wudalianchi Volcano Field (WVF) both on the Earth's surface and at a flight height of 100 m above the terrain. The contribution of each part and their attenuation characters are studied. In particular, the 5 km × 5 km area surrounding Bijiashan (BJS) and Wohushan (WHS) volcanos shows a strong gravity signature, making it a good candidate for the test site location. This study gives the location of the airborne gravity gradiometer test site which is an essential step in the instruments' development. In this study, a synthesized framework based on the policy advisory system (PAS) and the politics-administration (PA) dichotomy is applied to Hong Kong, a jurisdiction in transition from its previous status as a colony influenced by the Westminster system to a special administrative region of China. Based on interviews and questionnaire responses from policymakers and advisors in different structural positions of the PAS, the study finds that politicized public-service appointment has increased political control over the content of policy advice through three pathways: the selection of alternative policy advisors, the restructuring of sources of policy advice, and the opening-up of extant policy-advisory processes. Unlike in some non-Western and state-centered regimes, centralized political control in Hong Kong has both internalized and broadened the range of policy alternatives. The case of Hong Kong demonstrates that the dynamics of PA dichotomy provide pathways to policy advice politicization in the PAS, although the hybrid Westminster and Confucian traditions of Hong Kong shape the pathways toward, the degree, and the content of policy advice politicization. These findings affirm the PAS theory that the political-technical dimensions of policy advice do not fit neatly with the location or structural roles of policy actors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are an important part of adaptation to biotic and abiotic stresses and regulate seed germination through positive or negative signaling. Seed adaptation to abiotic stress may be mediated by hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The effects of the ROS scavenger N,N′-dimethylthiourea (DMTU) on maize seed germination through endogenous H2O2 regulation is unclear. In this study, we investigated the effects of different doses of DMTU on seed endogenous H2O2 and radicle development parameters using two maize varieties (ZD958 and DMY1). The inhibitory effect of DMTU on the germination rate and radicle growth was dose-dependent. The inhibitory effect of DMTU on radicle growth ceased after transferring maize seeds from DMTU to a water medium. Histochemical analyses showed that DMTU eliminated stable H2O2 accumulation in the radicle sheaths and radicles. The activity of antioxidant enzyme and the expression of antioxidant enzyme-related genes (ZmAPX2 and ZmCAT2) were reduced in maize seeds cultured with DMTU compared with normal culture conditions (0 mmol·dm−3 DMTU). We suggest the use of 200 mmol·dm−3 DMTU as an H2O2 scavenger to study the ROS equilibrium mechanisms during the germination of maize seeds, assisting in the future with the efficient development of plant growth regulators to enhance the seed germination performance of test maize varieties under abiotic stress. Background: Early postoperative exercise is effective in improving the prognosis of postoperative lung cancer patients, but compliance was lower than expected. Factors affecting lung cancer patients' intention to perform early postoperative exercise were unclear. Purpose: To discuss the factors affecting lung cancer patients' intention to perform early postoperative exercise based on the Theory of Planned Behavior. Methods: This was a qualitative study. Twenty-five lung cancer patients were recruited using purposive sampling, and semi-structured face-to-face interviews were performed. The reflexive intuitive thematic analysis method was used, and triangulation was employed to ensure the credibility of the study. Results: Results of this study identified 8 themes from 3 aspects. For behavioral attitudes, two themes emerged: (1) Aware of the benefits of postoperative exercise, (2) Underestimate the importance of postoperative exercise. For subjective norms, four themes emerged: (1) Influence of caregiver support on carrying out postoperative exercise, (2) Short-term supervision of medical staff, (3) Positive driving effect from other patients, and (4) Motivation due to family responsibility. For perceived behavior control, two themes and six sub-themes emerged: (1) Obstacles before actual exercise (Lack of adequate knowledge of postoperative pulmonary exercise, Less active in seeking related knowledge about rehabilitation exercise, and Misconceptions about rehabilitation exercise); (2) Unpleasant experiences during exercise (Physical discomfort, Limited space and depressive atmosphere, and Psychological burden). Conclusions: Several factors could affect lung cancer patients' early postoperative exercise behavior. Healthcare professionals should fully understand these factors from patients' perspectives. Single-source-precursor derived ceramics exhibit advantages for the preparation of Si-based ceramics with controllable phase composition and adjustable functional/mechanical properties, which has significant potential for (ultra)high temperature ceramic materials. Within the present work, a series of hafnium/boron-containing Si 3 N 4 -based ceramics (SiHfBCN) are prepared upon pyrolysis/annealing of the corresponding single-source-precursors in N 2 atmosphere at different temperatures ranging from 1000 °C to 1700 °C. The high-temperature (micro)structural evolution with respect to the annealing temperatures and boron concentration was studied using X-ray powder diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. The results show that the amorphous SiHfBCN ceramics convert upon crystallization into ceramic nanocomposites consisting of a α-Si 3 N 4 matrix with embedded Si, HfB 2 , and HfB x C y N 1– x – y. The formation and stability of HfB x C y N 1– x – y solid solution were discussed in detail. Finally, the oxidation resistance of the obtained α-Si 3 N 4 /HfB 2 /HfB x C y N 1– x – y ceramic nanocomposites was investigated by thermal gravimetric analysis in air. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

It is well known that strong low-mode internal tides generated in Luzon Strait propagate westward to impinge continental slopes in the northeastern South China Sea (SCS). The reflection and scattering of these internal tides including diurnal and semidiurnal components on the slopes are quantitatively investigated using two sets of mooring data and a linear internal tide model with realistic topography and stratification. Flux reflections computed from mooring data collected on the continental slopes are consistent with the linear model. Based on the results of the observations and simulations, a map of low-mode internal tide reflection and scattering coefficients along the continental margin in the northeastern SCS is revealed. On average, diurnal internal tides lose 38% of their energy to high modes (≥mode 4) that are assumed to dissipate on the slopes, transmit 28% onto the continental shelf, and reflect 31% back to the deep ocean. On the contrary, most of the semidiurnal energy (89%) transmits onto the continental shelf, and only 11% is scattered to high modes (7%) and reflected back to the deep ocean (4%). For diurnal internal tides, a large fraction of energy that is scattered to high modes and reflected back to the deep sea can be attributed to the critical–supercritical slopes, while the weak reflection for the semidiurnal energy is due to the subcritical slopes. These quantitative descriptions for evolutions of low-mode internal tides incident to the slopes provide an energy budget map on the continental slopes in the northeastern SCS. Studies have rarely reported on preoperative predictors of prognosis of patients undergoing liver resection (LR) for HCC ≥10 cm. We developed a simple model to predict overall survival (OS) of these patients. We enrolled 305 patients with HCC ≥10 cm undergoing LR. Cirrhosis and imaging-defined AJCC stage were used to develop a preoperative model. Patients were divided into three groups based on the Kaplan–Meier estimator. Group 1 included patients with AJCC stage 1 and no cirrhosis (n = 86), group 2 those with AJCC stage 1 and cirrhosis plus those with AJCC stage 2 or 3 and no cirrhosis (n = 166), and group 3 those with AJCC stage 2 or 3 and cirrhosis (n = 51). The five-year OS of group 1, 2, and 3 was 55%, 32%, and 25%, respectively (p < 0.001). With group 1 as the reference, multivariate analysis of OS showed that group 2 (HR = 2.043; 95% CI = 1.332–3.134; p = 0.001) and group 3 (HR = 2.740; 95% CI = 1.645–4.564; p < 0.001) were independent predictors of OS. Technological advances have now made it possible to simultaneously profile the changes of epigenomic, transcriptomic and proteomic at the single cell level, allowing a more unified view of cellular phenotypes and heterogeneities. However, current computational tools for single-cell multi-omics data integration are mainly tailored for bi-modality data, so new tools are urgently needed to integrate tri-modality data with complex associations. To this end, we develop scMHNN to integrate single-cell multi-omics data based on hypergraph neural network. After modeling the complex data associations among various modalities, scMHNN performs message passing process on the multi-omics hypergraph, which can capture the high-order data relationships and integrate the multiple heterogeneous features. Followingly, scMHNN learns discriminative cell representation via a dual-contrastive loss in self-supervised manner. Based on the pretrained hypergraph encoder, we further introduce the pre-training and fine-tuning paradigm, which allows more accurate cell-type annotation with only a small number of labeled cells as reference. Benchmarking results on real and simulated single-cell tri-modality datasets indicate that scMHNN outperforms other competing methods on both cell clustering and cell-type annotation tasks. Giant panda Ailuropoda melanoleuca exhibits are popular attractions for zoos and wildlife parks. However, it remains to be investigated whether such exhibits enhance visitor knowledge about pandas and broader conservation issues. We conducted questionnaire surveys at giant panda exhibits at three city zoos and five wildlife parks in China. Although visitors were generally interested in the giant panda, this was not reflected in their post-exhibit knowledge of giant panda biology. Socio-demographically, men were more knowledgeable of giant panda biology than women. Knowledge correlated positively with respondent level of education. Younger respondents (< 45 years) knew most about giant pandas and expressed an interest in learning more about them using social media. The most informed respondents had visited other giant panda exhibits previously. Respondents were generally satisfied with the giant panda exhibits (mean score 4.44/5). Wildlife parks delivered a better educational outcome than city zoos. AISI 321 steels used as intake valves in turbines are frequently subjected to creep‐fatigue (C‐F) exposure during service. Improving C‐F resistance and assessing remnant creep/tensile properties are therefore required for their safe service. In this work, the self‐healing coating consisting of Al2O3‐13TiO2 layer, TiC layer, and NiCrAlY layer was prepared for 321 steel. The effects of such self‐healing coating on the C‐F and remnant creep/tensile properties were studied. The results showed that the initial hardening phenomena of the studied steel during C‐F exposure was mainly attributed to the dislocation strengthening and a certain level of carbides precipitation strengthening, while the subsequent softening behaviors were resulted from dynamic recovery and coarsening of carbides. Moreover, as compared to other coatings, the self‐healing coating is able to improve the mechanical properties of steels due to dislocation strengthening, precipitation strengthening, and the self‐healing behavior resulting from the reaction between the TiC layer and oxygen. Programming ability is the core ability of this era and can be obtained and improved through practice. In this paper, an Automated Programming Assessment system based on Mastery learning and Peer competition (APAMP) was proposed and developed. APAMP allows students to practice repeatedly by providing immediate feedback after their programs are submitted. It also presents an analytical dashboard as a competition mechanism for students to visualize their learning performance and compare their performance with peers. By incorporating APAMP into programming courses, students can master programming skills through repeated practice, and their enthusiasm for learning programming can also be encouraged by peer competition. To evaluate the effects of APAMP on the learning performance of students with programming language learning and novice students, a quasi-experiment was conducted in a high school. The experimental results showed that the learning achievement of the two groups of students improved significantly. Moreover, the learning attitude of students in the experienced group improved significantly, with the experienced students benefiting more from the system than the novice students. Thus, in this work, we aimed to explore the impact of GI derived signature on prognosis in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients using bioinformatics methods. The data of NSCLC patients were collected from The Cancer Genome Atlas. Totally 1794 immune related genes were downloaded from immport database. The optimal prognosis related genes were identified by univariate and LASSO Cox analyses. The risk score model was built to predict the NSCLC patients' prognosis. The immune cell infiltration was analyzed in CIBERSORT. The 951 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between the genomic stability (GS) and GI groups were enriched in 862 Gene ontology terms and 32 Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathways. Based on the 13 optimal genes, a prognostic risk score mode for NSCLC was established, and the high-risk patients exhibited worse overall survival. Moreover, the nomogram could reliably predict the clinical outcomes. The immune cell infiltration and checkpoints were significantly differential between the two groups (high-risk and low-risk). The GI related 13-gene signature (TMPRSS11E, TNNC2, HLF, FOXM1, PKMYT1, TCN1, RGS20, SYT8, CD1B, LY6K, MFSD4A, KLRG2 APCDD1L) could reliably predict the prognosis of NSCLC patients. With the development of science and technology, people are trying to use robots to assist in stroke rehabilitation training. This study aims to analyze the result of the formative test to provide the orientation of upper limb rehabilitation robot design optimization. We invited 21 physical therapists (PTs) and eight occupational therapists (OTs) who had no experience operating any upper limb rehabilitation robots before, and 4 PTs and 1 OT who had experience operating upper limb rehabilitation robots. Data statistics use the Likert scale. The general group scored 3.5 for safety-related topics, while the experience group scored 4.5. In applicability-related questions, the main function score was 2.3 in the general group and 2.4 in the experience group; and the training trajectory score was 3.5 in the general group and 5.0 in the experience group. The overall ease of use score was 3.1 in the general group and 3.6 in the experience group. There was no statistical difference between the two groups. The methods to retouch the trajectory can be designed through the feedback collected in the formative test and gathering further detail in the next test. Further details about the smooth trajectory must be confirmed in the next test. The study reports two cases of infanticide by a dominant male who had taken over a one-male unit (OMU) of monkeys in China. The researchers used behavior and genetic analyses to test the sexual selection hypotheses. The study found that the infanticide events occurred after the infants had become independent and that the females in the OMU showed agonistic behavior towards the male. This article discusses the repair of a total scrotal defect that extended into the perianal area. The patient had extramammary Paget disease on the scrotum, and three stages of Mohs micrographic surgery were required to remove the tumor. To reconstruct the scrotal defect, two full-thickness skin grafts (FTSGs) were performed, while secondary intention healing was chosen for the right inguinal fold and perineum. The bilateral upper inner arms were chosen as the donor sites for the FTSGs. The article also discusses considerations for scrotal repair and alternative techniques for large scrotal defects. This work established a two-dimensional mathematical model to evaluate the thermofluidynamic behavior of a newly developed double-layered cylindrical ZrCo-based hydride bed during the hydrogenation reaction process. Numerical simulations by using COMSOL Multiphysics were conducted to solve the governing partial differential equations associated with chemical reaction and thermal transfer. Importantly, the local thermal nonequilibrium theory was applied to analyze the heat transfer between the ZrCo particle and hydrogen. Detailed analysis revealed the effects of operating conditions, material thermophysical properties, and the bed configuration, in addition to the ZrCo hydride particle sizes on hydrogen recovery characteristics. The simulation results indicated that increasing the heat transfer coefficient, reducing the coolant temperature, improving the thermal conductivity of the metal hydride, using the thinner hydride layer, and being equipped with copper fins were more beneficial to accelerate the heat transfer rate and the hydrogen charging rate of the metal hydride bed (MHB). Furthermore, along the radial direction, tremendous temperature gradient and distribution of absorbed hydrogen were found in the hydrogenated zones. The present model can effectively characterize the reaction kinetic mechanisms of ZrCo hydriding process as to further promote the practical application of the proposed MHB designs. Polymer-mediated colloidal interactions control the stability and phase properties of colloid–polymer mixtures that are critical for a wide range of important applications. In this work, we develop a versatile self-consistent field theory (SCFT) approach to study this type of interaction based on a continuum confined polymer solution model with explicit solvent and confining walls. The model is formulated in the grand canonical ensemble, and the potential of mean force for the polymer-mediated interaction is computed from grand potentials. We focus on the case of non-adsorbing linear polymers and present a systematic investigation on depletion effects using SCFT. The properties of confined polymer solutions are probed, and mean-field profiles of induced interactions are shown across different physical regimes. We expose a detailed parametric dependence of the interaction, concerning both attractive and repulsive parts, on polymer concentration, chain length, and solvent quality and explore the effect of wall surface roughness, demonstrating the versatility of the proposed approach. Our findings show good agreement with previous numerical studies and experiments, yet extend prior work to new regimes. Moreover, the mechanisms of depletion attraction and repulsion, along with the influence of individual control factors, are further discussed. Abstract A series of new 5-(trifluoromethyl)-benzo[d]imidazole linked N-phenylamide compounds was designed and synthesized using 1-chloro-2-nitro-4-(trifluoromethyl)benzene as raw material via five steps. Their structures were confirmed by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and HRMS. Background: Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play critical roles in various biological processes in plants. Extensive studies utilizing high-throughput RNA sequencing have revealed that many lncRNAs are involved in plant disease resistance. Oryza sativa RNase P protein 30 (OsRpp30) has been identified as a positive regulator of rice immunity against fungal and bacterial pathogens. Nevertheless, the specific functions of lncRNAs in relation to OsRpp30-mediated disease resistance in rice remain elusive. Results: We conducted a comprehensive analysis of lncRNAs, miRNAs, and mRNAs expression patterns in wild type (WT), OsRpp30 overexpression (OsRpp30-OE), and OsRpp30 knockout (OsRpp30-KO) rice plants. In total, we identified 91 differentially expressed lncRNAs (DElncRNAs), 1671 differentially expressed mRNAs (DEmRNAs), and 41 differentially expressed miRNAs (DEmiRNAs) across the different rice lines. To gain further insights, we investigated the interaction between DElncRNAs and DEmRNAs, leading to the discovery of 10 trans- and 27 cis-targeting pairs specific to the OsRpp30-OE and OsRpp30-KO samples. In addition, we constructed a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network comprising differentially expressed lncRNAs, miRNAs, and mRNAs to elucidate their intricate interplay in rice disease resistance. The ceRNA network analysis uncovered a set of gene targets regulated by lncRNAs and miRNAs, which were found to be involved in pathogen recognition, hormone pathways, transcription factor activation, and other biological processes related to plant immunity. Conclusions: Our study provides a comprehensive expression profiling of lncRNAs, miRNAs, and mRNAs in a collection of defense mutants in rice. To decipher the putative functional significance of lncRNAs, we constructed trans- and cis-targeting networks involving differentially expressed lncRNAs and mRNAs, as well as a ceRNA network incorporating differentially expressed lncRNAs, miRNAs, and mRNAs. Viral infection triggers the activation of transcription factor IRF3, and its activity is precisely regulated for robust antiviral immune response and effective pathogen clearance. However, how full activation of IRF3 is achieved has not been well defined. Herein, we identified BLK as a key kinase that positively modulates IRF3-dependent signaling cascades and executes a pre-eminent antiviral effect. BLK deficiency attenuates RNA or DNA virus-induced ISRE activation, interferon production and the cellular antiviral response in human and murine cells, whereas overexpression of BLK has the opposite effects. BLK-deficient mice exhibit lower serum cytokine levels and higher lethality after VSV infection. Moreover, BLK deficiency impairs the secretion of downstream antiviral cytokines and promotes Senecavirus A (SVA) proliferation, thereby supporting SVA-induced oncolysis in an in vivo xenograft tumor model. Mechanistically, viral infection triggers BLK autophosphorylation at tyrosine 309. Subsequently, activated BLK directly binds and phosphorylates IRF3 at tyrosine 107, which further promotes TBK1-induced IRF3 S386 and S396 phosphorylation, facilitating sufficient IRF3 activation and downstream antiviral response. Collectively, our findings suggest that targeting BLK enhances viral clearance via specifically regulating IRF3 phosphorylation by a previously undefined mechanism. Understanding how full activation of IRF3 is regulated is important to decipher the detailed mechanisms of IRF3-dependent signal transduction. Here, we report that BLK promotes IRF3 activation, leading to elevated antiviral cytokine production against multiple invading viruses both in vivo and in vitro. Upon viral infection, BLK undergoes Y309 autophosphorylation and directly phosphorylates IRF3 at Y107, together with TBK1-induced IRF3 S386 and S396 phosphorylation, to achieve sufficient IRF3 activation and elicit robust downstream antiviral responses. This paper presents a new two-stage approach for suppressing strong clutter and detecting moving targets using scatterers' spatial structure and signal similarity. Compared with the traditional strong clutter suppression methods, the proposed method considers both the spatial similarity and the channel correlation of the scatterers, effectively alleviating the false alarm probability and avoiding the missed detection problem caused via identifying strong moving targets as strong stationary clutter. Additionally, a detector is presented based on the linear degree of the radial velocity interferometric phase (LDRVP) to eliminate false alarms from isolated strong scatter points and the edges of strong scatterers. The term 'intellectual migration' initially referred to the exodus of European scientists and other professionals to the U.S. in the first half of the twentieth century. Academic and policy debates around issues of 'brain drain', 'brain gain', and 'brain circulation' in recent decades have intensified the usage of this term. A 2015 paper first attempted conceptualising Intellectual Migration as an analytical framework that encompasses a migration spectrum where students to professionals at different life stages move for intellectual pursuits that can advance career development. Li et al. (2021) articulate the framework by elaborating on the underlying key concepts – intellectual capital, intellectual nodes, intellectual gateways, intellectual peripheries – and the role they play in one's spatial and social mobilities, and connecting internal migration with international migration. This special issue assembles empirical research that addresses issues like the (un)certainty of engaging in intellectual migration, agency-structure dynamics behind migration decisions, and the value of intellectual capital in the migration process. This introductory piece traces the evolution of the intellectual migration conceptualisation while synthesising the findings to affirm the usefulness of the framework in analysing higher-education and highly-skilled migration. International student mobility, taking place within the framework of globalisation, internationalisation and transnationalism, has attained much attention. This paper adopts the Intellectual Migration framework to further our understanding of mobility regarding international higher education. It simultaneously studies China-born students in both China and North America to empirically examine the propensity for student mobility across national borders and the determining factors behind the realisation of such mobility under the same set of geopolitical and international circumstances. The analysis is based on a set of cross-sectional surveys conducted in the 2017–2019 period that yields over 1600 data points. We compare the 'who', 'why' and 'where' aspects of migration between domestic students in China and Chinese international students in North America to delineate the factors underlying international student mobility. By highlighting aspirations and capabilities on mobility outcomes, this paper contributes to differentiating mobility between undergraduate and graduate students and the implications for social inequality. Our analysis also reveals the unequal spatial distributions of educational resources between intellectual gateways and peripheries, and by extension between the Global North and the Global South. The increasing globalization and rising knowledge-based economy have created a higher-than-ever demand for skilled workers. China, among some Global South countries, is joining the race for talent to alleviate the brain drain. Using the conceptual framework of 'intellectual migration', this study examines how the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region of China is increasingly becoming an 'intellectual gateway' that attracts and retains skilled international migrants. Drawing on 58 semi-structured interviews with skilled US migrants in this region, this article addresses the following research questions: (1) Why do skilled US migrants choose the region as their migration destination; and (2) As a rising intellectual gateway, how does the PRD region shape the integration of skilled US migrants? Our findings suggest that the PRD region's knowledge-based economy and socio-cultural environment serve as strong magnets that attract skilled US migrants. These factors are critical to the structural and socio-cultural integration of skilled international migrants. The research advances the intellectual migration framework by providing empirical evidence on the geography of intellectual migration in a fast-growing megalopolis in the Global South, demonstrating the diversity of intellectual migrants and intellectual gateways. Flexible and precise manipulation of droplet transport is of significance for scientific and engineering applications, but real-time and on-demand droplet manipulation remains a challenge. Herein, we report a strategy using light for the outstanding manipulation of binary droplet motion on a high-energy surface and reveal the underlying mechanism. Upon irradiation to a substrate by a focused light beam, the substrate can provide a localized heating source via photothermal conversion, and a binary droplet can be flexibly transported on a high-energy surface with free contact-line pinning, exhibiting light-propelled droplet transport. We theoretically showed that the surface tension gradient across the droplet interface resulting from the localized photothermal effect is responsible for actuating droplet transport. Remarkably, the high reconfigurability and flexibility of light allowed for binary droplet transport with dynamically tunable velocity and direction as well as arbitrary trajectory assisted by 2D channels on a high-energy surface. Complex droplet transportation, controllable droplet coalescence, and anti-gravity motion were realized. The promising applicability of this light-fueled droplet platform was also demonstrated by directional transport of biosample droplets containing DNA molecules and cells, as well as successional microreactions. Secukinumab is effective in treating patients with moderate‐to‐severe plaque psoriasis. However, most studies assessing its effectiveness in routine clinical settings in China are mostly single‐center studies with a limited sample size. The objective of this study was to assess secukinumab's efficacy, treatment patterns, and characteristics in patients with moderate‐to‐severe plaque psoriasis. This 24‐week, multicenter (n = 5) retrospective study analyzed the data of Chinese adult patients with moderate‐to‐severe plaque psoriasis who initiated secukinumab treatment between May 2019 and March 2020. The Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI), body surface area (BSA), Investigator's Global Assessment Modified 2011 (IGA mod 2011), and Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) were assessed. Dermatologists documented the treatment dosage and modification reasons. Of the 244 secukinumab‐naïve patients, most were men (73.4%, 179/244) and weighed 60–90 kg (72.8%, 177/243). The mean (SD) age at secukinumab initiation was 38.1 (11.6) years, and the disease duration was 13.5 (7.9) years. Most patients (97.1%, 237/244) received secukinumab 300 mg. At weeks 4, 12, 16, and 24, the proportion of patients achieving PASI 75 (≥75% reduction from baseline) was 40.0%, 92.1%, 88.4%, and 88.9%, respectively; PASI 90 was 15.0%, 73.7%, 81.4%, and 68.3%, respectively; and PASI 100 was 8.7%, 40.8%, 58.1%, and 41.3%, respectively. During the same periods, BSA and IGA mod 2011 showed similar improvement trends. An increasing proportion of patients achieved DLQI of 0–1 (21.6%, 65.7%, 75.0%, and 80.3%, respectively). Treatment modification was highest at week 12. The average interval between two administrations after week 4 was 62.95 days. Secukinumab was highly effective in improving the PASI, IGA, BSA, and DLQI in Chinese patients with moderate‐to‐severe plaque psoriasis throughout the first 24 weeks. Intertidal zones comprise diverse habitats and directly suffer from the influences of human activities. Nevertheless, the seasonal fluctuations in fungal diversity and community structure in these areas are not well comprehended. To address this gap, samples of seawater and sediment were collected seasonally from the estuary and swimming beaches of Qingdao's intertidal areas in China and were analyzed using a metabarcoding approach targeting ITS2 rDNA regions. Compared to the seawater community dominated by Ciliophora and Agaricomycetes, the sediment community was rather dominated by Dothideomycetes and Eurotiomycetes. Furthermore, the seawater community shifted with the seasons but not with the locations, while the sediment community shifted seasonally and spatially, with a specific trend showing that Cladosporium, Alternaria, and Aureobasidium occurred predominantly in the estuarine habitats during winter and in the beach habitats during spring. These spatiotemporal shifts in fungal communities' composition were supported by the PERMANOVA test and could be explained partially by the environmental variables checked, including temperature, salinity, and total organic carbon. Unexpectedly, the lowest fungal richness was observed in the summer sediments from two swimming beaches which were attracting a high influx of tourists during summer, leading to a significant anthropogenic influence. Predicted trophic modes of fungal taxa exhibited a seasonal pattern with an abundance of saprotrophic fungi in the summer sediments, positively correlating to the temperature, while the taxa affiliated with symbiotroph and pathotroph-saprotroph occurred abundantly in the winter and spring sediments, respectively. Our results demonstrate the space–time shifts in terms of the fungal community, as well as the trophic modes in the intertidal region, providing in-depth insights into the potential influence of environmental factors and human activity on intertidal mycobiomes. The receptor‐binding domain (RBD) of spike recognizing the receptor angiotensin‐converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) initiates membrane fusion between severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) and cell membrane. Although the structure of the RBD_ACE2 complex has been well studied, its functional mechanism in membrane fusion is still not fully understood. Here, using an in vitro cell–vesicle content‐mixing assay, it is found that the cleavage at the S2' site by thrombin (Thr) protease strongly accelerates membrane fusion, compared to that of cleavage at the S1/S2 site by PreScission (3C) protease. Moreover, mutations at the RBD_ACE2 interface resulted in a positive correlation between binding affinity and fusion probability. In both the cell–vesicle and cell–cell fusion assays, by crosslinking two membranes via the neutravidin (NTV)_biotin interaction or complementary DNA strands, it is found that spike drives membrane fusion in the absence of ACE2, and a suitable distance between two membranes is critical for spike‐mediated membrane fusion. Finally, unsuitable membrane crosslinkers significantly inhibited the fusion probability in the presence of ACE2. Taken together, the results suggest that the RBD_ACE2 complex may act as a crosslinker to bridge the viral and cell membranes at a suitable distance, which is critical, but also substitutable for spike‐mediated SARS‐CoV‐2 entry. The classical motor center cerebellum is one of the most consistent structures of abnormality in autism spectrum disorders (ASD), and neuropeptide oxytocin is increasingly explored as a potential pharmacotherapy for ASD. However, whether oxytocin targets the cerebellum for therapeutic effects remains unclear. Here, we report a localization of oxytocin receptor (OXTR) in Purkinje cells (PCs) of cerebellar lobule Crus I, which is functionally connected with ASD-implicated circuits. OXTR activation neither affects firing activities, intrinsic excitability, and synaptic transmission of normal PCs nor improves abnormal intrinsic excitability and synaptic transmission of PCs in maternal immune activation (MIA) mouse model of autism. Furthermore, blockage of OXTR in Crus I in wild-type mice does not induce autistic-like social, stereotypic, cognitive, and anxiety-like behaviors. These results suggest that oxytocin signaling in Crus I PCs seems to be uninvolved in ASD pathophysiology, and contribute to understanding of targets and mechanisms of oxytocin in ASD treatment. Automated Writing Evaluation (AWE) software has been viewed as a promising tool for assisting writing. This study integrated AWE and its combination with peer review discussion into writing practice in a large college writing class in the Asian context. Adopting a mixed-method approach, this study employed a quantitative questionnaire to investigate how students perceived the integration at different writing stages and a qualitative interview to examine what prompted their quantitative decisions. The results show that the integration of AWE and peer review feedback significantly reinforced the perceived usefulness of AWE at the revision stage, and students with different proficiency levels had notably different attitudes toward AWE. Their writing anxieties intensified as they became increasingly aware of their own weaknesses during the writing process. Neighborhood selection is an important part of a multiobjective evolutionary algorithm based on decomposition (MOEA/D) because the impetus for population evolution mainly comes from its neighborhood. However, the fixed neighborhood size used in MOEA/D may deteriorate the performance of the algorithm due to an unreasonable allocation of computational resources. To further improve the performance of MOEA/D, this paper proposes a multiobjective decomposition evolutionary algorithm with optimal history-based neighborhood adaptation and a dual-indicator selection strategy. The optimal history-based neighborhood adaptation strategy is applied to alleviate the imbalance between exploration and exploitation in the search process, while the dual-indicator selection strategy is developed to enhance the population diversity. The performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated on the DTLZ and WFG series test problems. Snow parameters have traditionally been retrieved using discontinuous, multi-band sensors; however, continuous hyperspectral sensors are now being developed as an alternative. In this paper, we investigate the performance of various sensor configurations using machine learning neural networks trained on a simulated dataset. Our results show improvements in the accuracy of retrievals of snow grain size and impurity concentration for continuous hyperspectral channel configurations. The salt-inducible kinase 1 (SIK1)-CREB-regulated transcription co-activator 1 (CRTC1) system in the paraventricular nucleus (PVN) of the hypothalamus has been demonstrated to participate in not only depression neurobiology but also the antidepressant mechanisms of fluoxetine, paroxetine, venlafaxine, and duloxetine. Like fluoxetine and paroxetine, escitalopram is also a well-known selective serotonin (5-HT) reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). However, recently it has been found that escitalopram can modulate a lot of targets other than the 5-HT system. Here, we speculate that escitalopram produces effects on the SIK1-CRTC1 system in the PVN. Two mice models of depression (chronic social defeat stress (CSDS) and chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS)), various behavioral tests, enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), western blotting, co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP), quantitative real-time reverse transcription PCR (qRT-PCR), immunofluorescence, and adeno-associated virus (AAV)-mediated gene transfer were used together in the present study. It was found that escitalopram administration not only significantly prevented the hyperactivity of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis induced by CSDS and CUMS, but also notably reversed the effects of CSDS and CUMS on SIK1, CRTC1, and CRTC1-CREB binding in the PVN of mice. AAV-based genetic knock-down of SIK1 in PVN neurons evidently abolished the antidepressant-like effects of escitalopram in mice. A shortage of this study is that only rodent models of depression were used, while human samples were not included. Subaqueous eruptions alter the chemical conditions of the lake by intensifying the interaction between hot volcanic rocks and water, resulting in the exchange of alkalis. The lower part of the Fengcheng Formation in the Mahu Sag, NW China, has abundant rhyolitic welded tuff and related pyroclastic deposits, which were deposited under ancient alkaline lacustrine deposits of the Fengcheng Formation. Despite this, the effect of the eruption process on the formation of the alkali lake remains unclear. To gain a better understanding of the eruptive behaviour and emplacement processes, detailed drilling core descriptions, microscopic observations, and interpretations of textural characteristics of rhyolitic welded tuff units and adjacent volcano‐sedimentary associations have been conducted. The rhyolitic welded tuff can be categorized into seven lithofacies units based on the degree of welding, devitrification characteristics, pore development, and filling characteristics. The age of eruption was determined through zircon U–Pb dating of the rhyolitic welded tuff, revealing it to be approximately 300 Ma, thereby providing constraints on the deposition time of alkaline lacustrine deposits. Mudstones that encase the welded tuff unit and quenched structures such as perlitic fractures, quench cracks of spherulite and lithophysae, and chalcedony spherules indicate that the welded tuff unit was formed through subaqueous eruption. Alkali fractionation (sodium and potassium) occurs in the spherulite and lithophysae zone and at the top condensation boundary, demonstrating that the subaqueous eruption process significantly enhanced devitrification and hydration, causing sodium to escape from the welded tuff and released into the lake water as sodium ions. The rhyolitic welded tuff provides evidence of the evolution of a subaqueous felsic eruption where the water‐rock reaction played a fundamental role in alkalizing the lake by providing the lake with sodium ions in Mahu Sag. Moho determination is an important issue in studying the Earth's interior structure. In accordance with the isostasy-compensation hypothesis in geodesy, it is possible to recover regional or global Moho by employing gravimetric data. The nonlinear property is one of the main difficulties in solving the inverse problem of isostasy. To effectively address this issue, we propose an improved iterative inversion method that combines 3-D integration and linear regularization to achieve an approximate nonlinear solution. To estimate the contributions of different components in the gravity-gradient tensor from the Gravity field and steady-state Ocean Circulation Explorer (GOCE), other than the vertical component, we additionally develop two joint inversion scenarios that utilize diagonal horizontal components and all five non-vertical components. The validating experiments are implemented in Qinghai–Tibet Plateau and its near zone. Simulations and applications illustrate that horizontal responses of Moho undulation are also significant. Yet the off-diagonal components provide minimal contributions, adding only 0.25 km of bias to the joint inversion results. Truncation effects serve as the primary source of systematic errors, resulting in ∼1 km error in vertical inversion results and ∼2.3 km error in joint inversion results. Then, the gravimetric Moho results are compared with CRUST1.0, and they show a generally strong correlation. Differences are obvious at the northern and eastern margins of the plateau. It is maybe due to the local changes in crust–mantle density contrasts. Upwelling of asthenospheric materials and fluid flow in the middle-lower crust are the two main factors. The mesoscale components of collagen (nanofibrils, fibrils, and fiber bundles) are well organized in native tissues, resulting in superior properties and diverse functions. In this paper, we present a simple and controlled liquid exfoliation method to directly extract medium-sized collagen fibers ranging from 102 to 159 nm in diameter from bovine Achilles tendon using urea/hydrochloric acid and a deep eutectic solvent (DES). In situ observations under polarized light microscopy (POM) and molecular dynamics simulations revealed the effects of urea and GuHCl on tendon collagen. FTIR study results confirmed that these fibrils retained the typical structural characteristics of type I collagen. These shed collagen fibrils were then used as building blocks to create independent collagen membranes with good and stable mechanical properties, excellent barrier properties, and cell compatibility. A new method for collagen processing is provided in this work by using DES-assisted liquid exfoliation for constructing robust collagen membranes with mesoscale collagen fibrils as building blocks. Context: This paper studied MP-B36 interactions through DFT. MP molecules were observed to have a substantial tendency to be adsorbed through their N heads onto B36 at its edge, based on large adsorption energy values. The B atoms at the edges of B36 nanosheets showed higher reactivity than the internal B atoms toward MP. The electronic properties changed upon MP adsorption. The MP-B36 configurations of the highest stability underwent an energy gap reduction of 11–47%. Natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis and molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) analysis were used to evaluate the MP-B36 interaction. Methods: The configurations were subjected to geometric optimization at the TPSSH/6–31 + G(d) level of theory, at which frequency analysis was carried out to evaluate the stationary points. These configurations were neutral (Q = 0). The electronic properties of MP dramatically changed upon its interaction with B36 nanosheets. The stable configurations underwent an energy gap reduction, suggesting a chemical signal. The MP molecules were observed to be effectively adsorbed onto the B36 edge within aqueous phases. The MP-B36 configurations were estimated to have relatively large dipole moments. This demonstrated that MP-B36 systems were soluble and dispersed within solar media (e.g., water). Cooperative control of high‐speed trains can improve the safety and efficiency of high‐speed railway transportation. However, the velocity and distance overshoots in the cooperative control of multiple high‐speed trains is an undesirable behavior, which will lead to unsafe and inefficient train operation. To address this issue, a cooperative predictive set point modulation control approach for high‐speed trains is proposed. First, the cyber‐physical modeling of multiple high‐speed trains is presented. The longitudinal dynamic characteristics of high‐speed trains are established in the physical layer, and the cyber layer represents the communication topology of high‐speed trains based on graph theory. Second, a cooperative control rule is designed to achieve the velocity consensus and maintain safe distance between adjacent trains. Moreover, the set point automatic adjustment with correction enable (SPAACE) is leveraged to smoothly adjust the set‐point of high‐speed trains to suppress the overshoots of train velocities and inter‐train distance. Finally, the performance of the proposed method is verified in three different simulation scenarios: normal, acceleration and deceleration conditions. Background: Socially shared regulation is a vital factor that affects students' collaborative programming performance. However, students' weak group metacognitive skills or inability to adopt shared regulation mechanisms lead to unsatisfactory collaborative programming learning. Objectives: This study proposes an approach to support socially shared regulation in collaborative programming learning in order to enhance students' programming achievements and group metacognition. Methods: A quasi‐experimental study was conducted in a junior high school over a 10‐week period to investigate the impact of the proposed approach on programming achievements, group metacognition, and cognitive load. Forty eighth‐grade students participated in the study, with the experimental group learning via the proposed approach, while the control group used the conventional collaborative programming learning approach. Results and Conclusions: The analysis included data from 38 participants. The experimental results showed that the programming achievements and group metacognition of the experimental group were significantly better than those of the control group. Additionally, the proposed approach did not increase the cognitive load of the students. Implications: This study has important implications for teachers, learners, and researchers in collaborative programming and social regulation. Our proposed collaborative programming learning approach enhances learners' social regulation and performance, providing teachers with an effective tool for improving collaborative programming learning. This study also extends the field of socially shared regulation of learning (SSRL), demonstrating its potential to improve the effectiveness of collaborative programming learning and highlighting the need for future research to explore the mechanisms of SSRL in this context. Introduction: Relapse remained the major obstacle to improving the prognosis of children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). This study aimed to investigate the changing patterns of Ig/TCR gene rearrangements between diagnosis and relapse and the clinical relevance and to explore the mechanism of leukemic relapse. Methods: Clonal Ig/TCR gene rearrangements were screened by multiplex PCR amplification in 85 paired diagnostic and relapse bone marrow (BM) samples from children with ALL. The new rearrangements presented at relapse were quantitatively assessed by the RQ‐PCR approach targeting the patient‐specific junctional region sequence in 19 diagnostic samples. The relapse clones were further back‐traced to diagnostic and follow‐up BM samples from 12 patients. Results: Comparison of Ig/TCR gene rearrangements between diagnosis and relapse showed that 40 (57.1%) B‐ALL and 5 (33.3%) T‐ALL patients exhibited a change from diagnosis to relapse, and 25 (35.7%) B‐ALL patients acquired new rearrangements at relapse. The new relapse rearrangements were present in 15 of the 19 (78.9%) diagnostic samples as shown by RQ‐PCR, with a median level of 5.26 × 10−2. The levels of minor rearrangements correlated with B immunophenotype, WBC counts, age at diagnosis, and recurrence time. Furthermore, back‐tracing rearrangements in 12 patients identified three patterns of relapse clone dynamics, which suggested the recurrence mechanisms not only through clonal selection of pre‐existing subclones but also through an ongoing clonal evolution during remission and relapse. Conclusion: Backtracking Ig/TCR gene rearrangements in relapse clones of pediatric ALL revealed complex patterns of clonal selection and evolution for leukemic relapse. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
