Wild plants represent a potential source of urban landscape trees. Stranvaesia davidiana Dcne. is a member of the Stranvaesia Lindl. Genus, which belongs to family Rosaceae Juss. It has great ornamental value. It can contribute to urban color foliage and fruit species. However, the most effective fertilizer application strategy required for its cultivation is unknown. Therefore, we conducted an orthogonal experiment to investigate the fertilizer type and level (pure nitrogen) using ten experimental groups, including an untreated control group. Pot experiments were used to determine the growth indices of seedlings, including plant height, basal diameter, and chlorophyll content post-fertilizer treatment. This study explored the most appropriate fertiler application model for the growth of S. davidiana seedlings. The results revealed that enhanced seedling growth depended on the type and amount of fertilizer used, and their interaction. Fertilizer application increased the plant height by 2.67 cm to 12.26 cm, basal diameter by 0.39 cm to 0.75 cm, and chlorophyll content by 5.66 to 19.86. Among the different types of fertilizer, organic fertilizer increased the plant height by 0.42 cm to 9.59 cm and basal diameter by 0.01 cm to 0.05 cm, compared with the control group. Organic fertilizer had the maximum effect on seedling growth, especially at medium levels. The total growth of basal diameter and chlorophyll content was 1.58 ± 0.04 cm and 39.53 ± 2.37, respectively. Basal diameter is the most critical index in seedling reproduction . The study results suggest that the application of 4.06 g of organic fertilizer per plant was the most effective, and served as a basis for further field trials.

Abstract Background Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most common cancers worldwide. Comprehensive data on the economic burden of CRC at a population‐level is critical in informing policymaking, but such data are currently limited in China. Methods From a societal perspective, the economic burden of CRC in 2019 was estimated, including direct medical and nonmedical expenditure, disability, and premature‐death‐related indirect expenditure. Data on disease burden was taken from the GBD 2019 and analyzed using a prevalence‐based approach. The per‐person direct expenditure and work loss days were from a multicenter study; the premature‐death‐related expenditure was estimated using a human capital approach. Projections were conducted in different simulated scenarios. All expenditure data were in Chinese Yuan (CNY) and discounted to 2019. Results In 2019, the estimated overall economic burden of CRC in China was CNY170.5 billion (0.189% of the local GDP). The direct expenditure was CNY106.4 billion (62.4% of the total economic burden), 91.4% of which was a direct medical expenditure. The indirect expenditure was CNY64.1 billion, of which 63.7% was related to premature death. Three-way concepts analysis, an effective tool for knowledge discovery, is a combination of three-way decision and formal concept analysis. Based on the connections between three-way concepts and formal concepts, the method of obtaining three-way concepts and the method of how to judge attribute characteristics are studied respectively from the perspective of pictorial diagrams. Inspired by the pictorial-diagrams-based acquisition methods of concepts (formal concept, object-oriented concept and property-oriented concept), and combining the connections between three kinds of concepts in combinatorial contexts and four kinds of three-way concepts, the definitions of combinatorial-property (combinatorial-object) pictorial diagram and property pair induced (object pair induced) three-way pictorial diagram are proposed. Then, the acquisition approaches to four kinds of three-way concepts are investigated by using the novel proposed pictorial diagrams. In addition, from the perspective of preserving the structure of the lattice, the general definitions of the reduction and attribute characteristics are given, attribute characteristics of an object induced three-way concept lattice are analyzed by discernibility matrix, and the judg-ment theorems of attribute characteristics are given based on property pair induced pictorial diagrams.

In order to design the modified cheongsam in line with the target consumer groups, nine design elements were selected from three aspects: sleeve type, garment length and hem, with 20 modified cheongsam stimulation maps were drawn, and 10 pairs of perceptual evaluation adjectives were selected. The subjective scores of consumers for different styles of improved cheongsam were obtained by questionnaire. Mean analysis and factor analysis were used to quantify perceptual evaluation. TOPSIS model was used to conduct decision-making comprehensive evaluation and analysis of various perceptual demands. The results show that the perceptual factors affecting the improved cheongsam style design are temperament factor, personality factor and appearance factor. The use of a decision-making comprehensive evaluation analysis method has practical application value for realizing personalized style customization of multiple perceptual needs.

Objective: To comprehensively evaluate the effect of acupuncture on gut microbiota, identify specific microbes closely related to the clinical efficacy of acupuncture, and explored the role of short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs).Methods: A randomized placebo-controlled trial was conducted with 80 FC patients and 28 healthy controls (HCs). FC patients randomly received 16 acupuncture (n = 40) or sham acupuncture (n = 40) sessions over 4 weeks; HCs received no treatment. The change in the proportion of patients with mean weekly complete spontaneous bowel movements (CSBMs) was considered as the primary outcome measure. Moreover, the composition and the predictive metabolic function of the gut microbiota from feceal samples were analyzed by 16S rRNA gene sequencing, while feceal SCFAs were identified via gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).Results: Compared to sham acupuncture, acupuncture significantly increased the proportion of CSBM responders, and improved spontaneous bowel movements (SBMs), straining, stool consistency, and quality of life. Moreover, Sequencing of 16S rRNA genes revealed that acupuncture improved β-diversity and restored the composition of gut microbiota. Specifically, the abundance of beneficial bacteria such as g_Lactobacillus increased while that of pathogenic bacteria such as g_Pseudomonas decreased after acupuncture, which were significantly correlated with alleviated symptoms. Moreover, ten microbes including g_Coprobacter, g_Lactobacillus, and g_Eubacterium_coprostanoligenes_group might be considered acupuncture-specific microbes, and formed a stable interaction network. Additionally, GC-MS analysis indicated that acupuncture increased the content of butyrate acid in the gut, which was positively correlated with an increase in defecation frequency and a decrease in acupuncture-related pathogens. Finally, acupuncture specific-microbes including g_Coprobacter, g_Lactobacillus, g_Pseudomonas, g_Eubacterium_coprostanoligenes_group, g_Erysipelotrichaceae_UCG.003, g_Prevotellaceae_UCG.001, and g_Rolstonia could accurately predict the clinical efficacy of acupuncture (AUC = 0.918).Conclusion: Acupuncture could effectively improve clinical symptoms in FC patients, and was associated with gut microbiota reshaping and increased butyrate acid levels. Moreover, key microbial genera such as g_Coprobacter and g_Lactobacillus was predictive of acupuncture efficacy in treating FC. Future studies are required to validate the causal relationship between key microbial genera and acupuncture clinical efficacy, and should explore further metabolic pathways for designing personalized treatment strategies.Clinical Trial Registration:http://www.chictr.org.cn, Identifier: ChiCTR2100048831.

Objective: To explore the incidence of death anxiety in palliative care patients, find some existing and potential causes, and put forward suggestions. Methods: Publication bias, sensitivity analysis, subgroup analysis, and regression analysis were also conducted to explore the sources of the heterogeneity in our analysis. Results: The 607 studies were obtained, and 20 studies were included after reading the articles and quality evaluation. The incidence of death anxiety in patients was 0.44 (95%CI:0.38,0.51, p < 0.001). and heterogeneity was significant (I2 = 98.2%, p < 0.001). In the test of regression analysis, the average age (I2 = 98.15%, R2 = - 6.99%, p < 0.001); in gender (I2 = 97.84%, R2 = 1.14%, p < 0.001), its heterogeneity was also significant. Conclusion: The incidence of death anxiety is relatively high. More often occur in elderly female patients. This requires more attention to life itself rather than death. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
