LOGICAL positivism ,MATERIALISM ,PHILOSOPHY ,SUPERVENIENCE (Philosophy) ,COINCIDENCE in literature - Abstract
This paper advances a non‐process–oriented understanding of the mind–body relation by uncovering constraints on physicalist mind–body theories. The method of this paper is to explore possible answers that different mind–body theories can provide to the question "When does an experience of pain begin?" This paper demonstrates that physicalist mind–body theories must postulate a synchronic relation between a temporally invariant (i.e., constant over time, as opposed to changing over time) aspect of the mental and a temporally invariant aspect of the physical. This conclusion poses a challenge to many popular mind–body theories, especially those that postulate a synchronic realisation relation between physical processes and instantiations of mental kinds, such as Functionalism, and in particular Computationalism. Apart from the implications on theory choice and theory design within the philosophy of mind, this paper presents a useful tool for the evaluation of inter‐level relations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Agility is a major concern for enterprises across manufacturing and service sectors. This paper supports the claim that process-oriented approaches are useful for agility improvement projects. It builds on an existing process-oriented framework for agility improvement projects to identify agility enabling principles and tools in manufacturing. Collectively, the framework processes, enabling principles and tools contribute the operationalization of agility improvement initiatives. Surveyed practitioners' confirm this general finding as well as the relevance of the framework to middle management, in particular in Small-and-Medium Sized enterprises. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

INNOVATIONS in business ,BUSINESS models ,BUSINESS process modeling - Abstract
Research on business model innovation (BMI) processes is blossoming and expanding in many directions. Hence, the time is ripe to summarize and systematize this body of knowledge for the benefit of current and future BMI scholars. In this article, we take stock of the current literature to clarify the concept of a BMI process, develop a categorization scheme (a "BMI process framework"), and discuss future research possibilities. Building on a systematic literature review of 114 papers, our categorization delineates different types of BMI processes and corresponding sub-processes. Moreover, we develop a framework that illustrates how BMI processes are interrelated and interconnected. Finally, we identify the main process-related research gaps in BMI research and provide directions for future research that emerge from our categorization and discussion. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

DISRUPTIVE innovations ,ORGANIZATIONAL structure ,SEMI-structured interviews - Abstract
The motivation behind this paper and the underlying research is to shed light on how companies deal with interdisciplinary innovation activities, especially looking at the development of radical and potentially disruptive innovations. This includes the analysis of methods, processes, and organizational structures applied to support interdisciplinary innovation activities as well as challenges faced. Whereas this thematic field has been widely investigated for academic institutions and, in companies on a team level, there is only a little information on industrial companies' current state. This understanding is especially important as shortening development cycles, and technological convergence combined with intersectoral innovations might lead to increases in radical and potentially disruptive innovations and thereby create the need for improved methods and structures throughout the innovation process. To gain insights into challenges and current practices of interdisciplinary collaboration in innovation activities, semi-structured exploratory interviews were carried out with representatives from seven industrial companies. Among others, the results of the study revealed that whereas many methodologies are said to support interdisciplinary innovation activities, a wide majority of these methodologies are applied for other reasons which make supporting interdisciplinarity seem like a kind of byproduct. JOB involvement ,STRATEGIC planning ,EMPLOYEE well-being ,ORGANIZATION ,TEAMS in the workplace - Abstract
Research worldwide reports low levels of employee engagement reflecting employee well-being. This observation spells dire consequences for enterprise performance, expressed as goal achievement, and attained via strategy. Strategy implementation failure adds to enterprise performance pressures, while reducing employee well-being. Research investigating employee engagement as driver of strategy implementation through dimensions of organisation is limited. This paper conceptually examines how employee engagement can be enhanced while driving strategy implementation through dimensions of organisation. The Nienaber and Martins (2015, Journal of Contemporary Management, 12(1), 401–425) survey results serve as illustration. The conclusions arrived at here show that all six factors – at individual, team/unit, and enterprise levels – can be classified according to the dimensions of organisation. Moreover, the dimensions of organisation are not necessarily mutually exclusive, but rather interrelated, and influence employee engagement in unexpected ways. The contribution of this paper stems from the promise that dimensions of organisation serve as mechanism to drive strategy implementation via employee engagement. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

12. Processes as variable embodiments.

- Abstract
In a number of papers, Kit Fine introduced a theory of embodiment which distinguishes between rigid and variable embodiments, and has been successfully applied to clarify the ontological nature of entities whose parts may or may not vary in time. In particular, he has applied this theory to describe a process such as the erosion of a cliff, which would be a variable embodiment whose manifestations are the different states of erosion of the cliff. We find this theory very powerful, and especially appropriate to capture the intuition that the same process may go on at different times. However, its formal principles have been subject to some criticisms, mainly concerning the mereological structure of a variable embodiment. Moreover, since the notion of variable embodiment is very general, simply saying that processes are variable embodiments is not enough to understand their ontological nature. To address these concerns, in this paper we proceed in two phases: first, we propose a revised version of Fine’s original theory adapted to the case of processes, which adopts a classical mereology instead of Fine’s hylomorphic mereology, and a temporalized constitution relation in place of Fine’s function of variable embodiment; second, we go deeper into the ontological nature of processes by revisiting the notions of homogeneity, intentionality, and telicity discussed in the literature, and propose an account based on ontological principles and not on semantic properties of predicates. This allows us to organize processes into a novel taxonomy based exclusively on their unity and individuation principles. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

ELECTRONIC data processing ,RATE of return ,LAND use ,DYNAMICAL systems - Abstract
Establishing land administration systems is enough of a challenge as it is, and the task of keeping the system up to date with developments in society is even more challenging. They have to serve society on a long-term basis and normally have a long-term return on investment; therefore, both the static and dynamic components of the system must be considered when designing land administration systems. The processes within land administration systems are registration and dissemination. In this study, the authors formalized and analyzed the two most common use cases of land administration data dissemination processes. The first use case depicts the dissemination of land use constraints imposed by spatial planning, whereas the second case depicts the dissemination of available utilities. The aim of this study was to examine how the land administration data dissemination processes could be optimized and improved in a standardized formal manner. From the formalized processes, certain elements, such as actors, activities, input and output data, and the timeframe, were identified and matched with existing LADM classes. The importance of institutional agreements and the need for more time-efficient and user-friendly access to the disseminated data are also discussed in the current paper. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

It is already known that performance management represents a set of processes and practices of human resource management, i.e. activities that aim to achieve the goals of the organization in the best possible way. In fact, there are numerous studies which are dedicated to the performance management process, showing that this process is now not only applicable in various organizations, but is also the object of analysis to improve it ongoing. Moreover, in organizations in Kosovo, there has been a lack of studies about this process over the years. Previous research has proven that the human factor is one of the key components of a successful organization. As a result, good human resource management with special emphasis on performance management practices and processes can be considered as a successful way to achieve the objectives that the organization aims. Therefore, the main objective of this paper focuses on performance management which is measured through human resource management practices and processes, defining the success or failure of the organizations in Kosovo. Thus, for the realization of this paper, we conducted a survey through a questionnaire that we distributed to employees and managers of organizations throughout the territory of Kosovo. The findings have shown that recruitment and selection, performance appraisal, training, reward system and career development are important factors in the performance of the enterprise. Considering these factors and their importance, the study provides recommendations and suggestions for improving these processes and human resource management practices for the researched organizations and broader. Jobs in business process outsourcing are those that provide young, talented people the chance to work and facilitate consumers looking for solutions to a variety of difficulties. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for these positions. Customers may contact staff members through calls, chats, emails, etc. with questions. They must routinely present information to clients and respond to various concerns about the goods and services they receive. A business process representative directs customers to information-rich web pages on the client website. These representatives must put in a lot of effort to meet SLAs based on process requirements and quality standards while managing several jobs at once. Typically, businesses hire recent graduates or young college graduates for the Telle-caller positions or back-office tasks. This paper examines the use of primary data analysis in SPSS software to ascertain the reasons behind young people's interest in BPO careers and the association between different variables. The wood processing industry is not immune to the ripple effects of information technology's constant and rapid growth. Companies from that industry are under more pressure than ever to use digital innovation to adapt to rapidly shifting markets, lead the charge in the energy transition, and speed up the implementation of Industry 4.0. The paper presents research on the digitalization of key processes in the wood processing companies that are members of the "Herzegovina" wood cluster. Questionnaires and interviews are used to obtain research data. According to the research findings, there is a difference in the degree of digitalization between the interior planning and design process, which has the highest level of digitalization, and the cutting, hauling, and transportation of lumber, which has the lowest level of digitalization. The findings show that, regardless of the process in issue, the formal environment for digitalization must be established by declaring digitalization as a strategic goal, redefining roles and responsibilities, and ensuring a constant financial flow. This paper proposes an innovative problem/system decomposition approach. Unlike the conventional method, where stakeholder requirements are transformed into system requirements for the system‐of‐interest (SOI), the new approach involves decomposing stakeholder requirements into specifications for modified context subsystems. These subsystems comprise elements from both the SOI and its surrounding context. The new approach offers two key strengths. Firstly, an enhanced contextual relationship. The approach naturally establishes a relationship between the SOI and its context across various abstraction levels. This contextual linkage fosters modularity and agility within the system. Secondly the new approach enables precise functionality definition. Unlike mere declarations, the new approach allows for explicit functionality definition at all levels. Consequently, we can formulate executable requirements, enabling system simulation across all system levels. Very early integration, verification, and validation become possible as a result. Current geomorphological research tends to give preference to landforms rather than landscapes. This commentary brings these notions closer together and incorporates varied views of 'landscape' (such as landscapes in art and poetry) as well as showing the difficulties of communicating them to audiences wider than geomorphology. The paper promotes the use of decimal Latitude Longitude (dLL) values to assist better location of samples, analyses and especially landforms, to produce 'information surfaces' within landscape and landsystem approaches to geomorphology. This will also help the development of geomorphic visual literacy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

26. Why Work Around the Process? Analyzing Workarounds Through the Lens of the Theory of Planned Behavior.

- Abstract
Workarounds are a common practice in a broad range of organizational and technological contexts, which has received much attention in information systems research. They are sometimes considered negatively, associated with business risks and noncompliance, and sometimes positively, as a source of innovation and improvement. Although workaround-based process improvements typically adopt the workaround if its consequences are not harmful, this is not always the best option. The paper aims to pave the way for leveraging workarounds for process improvement by understanding problems that motivate them, so alternative solutions can be developed for these problems. Despite many proposed explanations, an in-depth understanding of the reasons underlying employee decisions that lead to workarounds is still needed. To this end, following a qualitative research approach, data were collected in six case study organizations, investigating workaround decisions made by employees through the lens of the theory of planned behavior. The principal unique theme running throughout the findings is that workaround motivation stems from perceived misalignment between organizational, local unit, or personal goals and their realization in business processes. Workarounds are enabled by various factors, including perceived workaround opportunities in the organization. These findings are abstracted to form an explanatory model as a contextual adaptation of the theory of planned behavior to explain workaround intentions. The proposed model explains workaround decisions in a way that can leverage this understanding to promote concrete process improvements. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

MANUFACTURING processes - Abstract
Additive manufacturing (AM) technology has been researched and developed for almost three decades. Microscale AM is one of the fastest-growing fields of research within the AM area. Considerable progress has been made in the development and commercialization of new and innovative microscale AM processes, as well as several practical applications in a variety of fields. However, there are still significant challenges that exist in terms of design, available materials, processes, and the ability to fabricate true three-dimensional structures and systems at a microscale. For instance, microscale AM fabrication technologies are associated with certain limitations and constraints due to the scale aspect, which may require the establishment and use of specialized design methodologies in order to overcome them. The aim of this paper is to review the main processes, materials, and applications of the current microscale AM technology, to present future research needs for this technology, and to discuss the need for the introduction of a design methodology. Thus, one of the primary concerns of the current paper is to present the design aspects describing the comparative advantages and AM limitations at the microscale, as well as the selection of processes and materials. In this paper, I discuss the inspiration, development, and further refinement of the Knowledge Revision Components framework (KReC; Kendeou & O’Brien, 2014). In KReC, we theorize about the conditions that facilitate knowledge revision during reading, and thus successful learning in the presence of prior, often incorrect knowledge. I discuss how the inspiration and need for the framework arose, and how a systematic set of experimental studies and a shift in paradigm led to its initial development and further refinement. I also outline several virtues and contributions of this framework to the extant literature. I conclude with future directions for further development and applications of the framework in the current information ecosystem. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

ONTOLOGY , *FRIENDSHIP , *AGENT (Philosophy) - Abstract
The aim of the paper is to describe the temporal ontology of that basic manifestation of social agency that is the living of life together. The distinction between states, processes and events is clarified. There are notions of 'doing things together' that fall into each of these temporal categories. The ontology of the state of friendship is examined as one instance of living life together. Friendship is a state of community between agents that is sustained by a continuity of processes and events that are characteristic manifestations of the state, some (but not all) of which are processes of doing things together. The continuity of processes and events involved in friendship is distinctive in lacking a telic point. Further instances of shared life that possess this characteristic temporal structure are described. It is argued that this notion of a mode of shared life cannot be recovered from various kinds of temporally extended agential structures that are the ingredients of Michael Bratman's work on shared agency. In so doing, I clarify the notion of a shared life and make a case for the fruitfulness of approaching questions about joint action from the perspective of work on the ontology of time occupation. The scientific work aims to present the role of the National Signaling Information System within the cooperation in the Schengen Area from the perspective of security risks. We believe that the implementation of a quality management system within the National Signaling Information System would have a positive impact on the quality of services, of the management of the organization which, in fact, influences the quality of the other processes of the organization. We have come to the conclusion that, basically, the simple fact that the manager takes responsibility for the implementation of the system is not enough, but neither is it expected that the manager will "move" to the quality department. The basic idea is that the top manager must express his reasoned point of view to make it obvious to all employees that he is using the quality management system to validate his decisions and to identify areas for improvement in the level of all services and compartments. From the research carried out by the authors up to this point, we have not identified a quality management system within the National Signaling Information System. Completing the process of Romania's accession to the Schengen Area as soon as possible appears as a necessity to ensure more security for European citizens. The biggest responsibility of the manager of the organization that coordinates and manages this IT system is to identify innovative approaches to face the moment of Romania's acceptance into the Schengen Area. The research carried out by the authors in this direction is explained and detailed in this scientific paper. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Land administration (LA) is concerned with processes. Simply put, LA cannot be understood, built, or improved unless the processes associated with it are understood. When it comes to the processes involved in LA, two general processes can be identified, namely registration and dissemination. Nowadays, processes are implemented electronically; however, paper-based thinking is still present, and the performance of processes is impeded by siloed data management. These issues could be addressed through the employment of standards such as the Land Administration Domain Model. Processes are not yet part of the standard, but their inclusion in future extensions is planned. Moreover, a literature analysis indicated that there is no standardized methodology or model available for describing LA processes. Consequently, we modeled one part of land administration processes, namely data dissemination, by developing a methodology and model to describe it. The methodology was developed with the goal of providing guidelines for other researchers when modeling use cases of data dissemination processes by enabling comparisons of models, searching for best practices, and developing standardized process models. Additionally, the methodology was tested on a conceptual use case to prove its viability. Furthermore, a model based on conceptual modeling and an activity-centric process modeling approach was developed and linked to existing classes of the Land Administration Domain Model. The organizational and technological challenges which might arise when improving data dissemination processes are discussed, and possible outcomes of the developed methodology and model are provided. The generative perspective in therapy understands relations and dialogue as a generative social space where participants can promote innovative resources and possibilities for themselves, and their relations and circumstances, along with new social ecologies. It focuses on the creative dimensions of human relationality. This epistemological and clinical perspective has a heuristic value that allows us to discern and work with micro dialogues—micro processes of creative, generative dialogues—in the ongoing dialogue, mindful of the opportunities for creativity and innovation they provide. The generative perspective promotes creative processes and transformations to help clients build possible and viable futures when faced with problems, conflicts and challenges. It involves the dialogical and relational co‐creation of resources and possibilities, and actions for implementation. The perspective is illustrated with a therapy process involving a 3‐year follow‐up. The paper includes a section where differences and similarities between dialogical perspectives are presented. - Abstract
Background: In Canada, Ontario Health Teams (OHTs) are a new model for integrated healthcare. Core to OHTs are family physicians (FPs) and their ability to collaborate with other FPs and healthcare providers. Whereas the factors for intra-organizational collaboration have been well-studied, inter-organizational collaboration between FPs and other healthcare organizations as an integrated care network, are less understood. This paper aims to explore the structural factors, processes, and theoretical frameworks that support FPs’ collaboration for integrated healthcare. Methods: A scoping review was undertaken based on Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) methodology for scoping review and using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis for Scoping Review (PRISMA_ScR) checklist. A search for academic and relevant grey literature published between 2000–2021 was conducted across databases (MEDLINE, EMBASE, EBSCOhost).Thematic analysis was used to identify the key findings of the selected studies. Results: Thirty-two studies were included as eligible for this review. Three structural components were identified as critical to FPs’ successful participation in inter-organizational partnerships: (1) shared vision/values, (2) leadership by FPs, and (3) defined decision-making procedures. Also, three processes were identified: (1) effective communication, (2) a collective sense of motivation for change, and (3) relationships built on trust. Three theoretical frameworks provided insight into collaborative initiatives: (1) Social Identity Approach, (2) framework of interprofessional collaboration, and (3) competing values framework. Conclusion: FPs hold unique positions in healthcare and this review is the first to synthesize the best evidence for building collaborations between FPs and other healthcare sectors. These findings will inform collaboration strategies for healthcare integration, including with OHTs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Resource sharing in general is a means of solving the problem of infrequent and, thus, inefficient utilization of expensive or scarce resources. In this paper, we present an approach to run shared EV-charging infrastructures in the context of commercial real-estate facilities. Collaborating EV-charger owners thereby create a pool of chargers for shared use. In our work, we consider aspects of economic viability, desirability and technical feasibility as prerequisites of a successful solution. We formally prove that the basic economic potential of the proposed pooling with regard to overall infrastructure utilization is given. In order to operate the shared pool of charging points at a given location, the corresponding management software must fulfil specific requirements. Our prototype implementation that was realized as an extension of the open-source system Open E-Mobility demonstrates the technical feasibility of the sharing idea in a user-friendly way. Questionnaires and personal interviews conducted with owners of small and medium-sized businesses revealed that they would share charging stations if it helped overcome availability bottlenecks, thus improving customer and employee perception. WASTE management ,PLASTIC scrap ,POLLUTION ,WASTE recycling ,REFUSE containers ,PERSISTENT pollutants ,PLASTIC marine debris - Abstract
Improper handling of plastic waste and related chemical pollution has garnered much attention in recent years owing to the associated detrimental impacts on human health and the environment. This article reports an overview of the main interlinkages between persistent organic pollutants (POPs) and plastic in the waste management system of India. Both plastics and POPs share certain common traits such as persistence, resistance to biological degradation, and the ability to get transported over long distances. Throughout the processes of production, consumption, and disposal, plastics interact with and accumulate POPs through several mechanisms and end up co-existing in the environment. Plastic waste can undergo long-range transport through rivers and the oceans, break down into microplastics and get transported through the air, or remain locked in waste dump yards and landfills. Over time, environmental processes lead to the leaching and release of accumulated POPs from these plastic wastes. Plastic recycling in the Indian informal sector including smelting, scrubbing, and shredding of plastic waste, is also a potential major POPs source that demands further investigation. The presence of POPs in plastic waste and their fate in the plastic recycling process have not yet been elucidated. By enhancing our understanding of these processes, this paper may aid policy decisions to combat the release of POPs from different waste types and processes in India. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose. This article presents a concise and comprehensive review of the technologies that are typically used for manufacturing metal powders as well as the implications that particle features have on the properties of additive manufacturing (AM) techniques. Methodology. We surveyed various experiments that have taken place on the effects of the qualities of the powder and how to guarantee the dependability and reproducibility of the parts that are manufactured as well as ways of optimizing a powder’s performance. We classified the methods for producing metallic powders and highlighted the benefits, limitations, and image analysis of major production techniques. Findings. The usage of different approaches to metallic powder characterization for the analysis of the physical, mechanical, and chemical processes has contributed to major steps in powder optimization. The characterization of these powders is critical for ensuring adequate additive material dimensions and specifications and recording the properties of powders used in an AM and bridging the gap of comprehension concerning the end output in AM. Originality. This paper provides a thorough analysis of the efforts made in the powder characterization of AM components for the interpretation of the impact on the part materials’ qualities and characteristics. Metallic powder characterization has contributed to substantial progress toward powder optimization in the analysis of particle structures. Practical value. As the application of AM technology is moving away from the creation of prototypes and toward the production of finished products, it becomes important to understand the powder properties necessary to manufacture high-quality elements consistently [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

DIGITAL transformation ,ARTIFICIAL intelligence ,TECHNOLOGICAL innovations ,COVID-19 pandemic ,DECISION making in business - Abstract
Innovation in the age of artificial intelligence can be accelerated by utilizing appropriate tools, policies, and deployment approaches. Digital Transformation (DT) is a process that aims to leverage technology to optimize business processes and deliver them digitally to constituents. In other words, it is about our daily tasks performed and offered seamlessly in a digital world. In reality, COVID-19 challenges have expedited the need for digital transformation, and many businesses are struggling to catch up. Processes, tools, and people are the key requirements to achieving business goals and they all need to be addressed. Processes have traditionally been lengthy and designed for humans to handle. With digitization, new needs have evolved, and new approaches and flows need to be considered. Digital tools to help redesign processes exist and can be leveraged. People are the decision-makers, process approvers, and final users. They all need to be prepared to use new tools and new approaches to think about the business. In this presentation, we will highlight some tools and techniques that are enablers of Digital Transformation. We will also discuss case studies of different approaches used by businesses and universities to address these growing needs. In conclusion, we will evaluate the effectiveness of some strategies, where they fall short, and when they become hype and trendiness rather than a concrete solution. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

PHILOSOPHY of biology ,ONTOLOGY ,METAPHYSICS ,ORGANISMS ,ECOLOGY - Abstract
I argue that attempts in the philosophy of biology to show that organisms are processes, rather than substances, fail. Despite what process ontologists have said, substance ontology is perfectly able to accommodate the dynamic nature of organisms, their ecological dependence, and their vague boundaries, and their criticisms are directed not at substance ontology simpliciter, but only at specific (perhaps untenable) characterisations of substances. The paper ends by considering what a processual philosophy of biology that is radically in conflict with an ontology of substances might look like. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

45. The Processes of Adaptation, Assimilation and Integration in the Country of Migration: A Psychosocial Perspective on Place Identity Changes.

- Abstract
In the process of migration, the migrant goes through certain stages and a series of transformations that leave their mark on their individuality over time. These unavoidable processes, adaptation, assimilation, and eventually integration, as well as numerous other factors, lead to changes in identity. The concept addressed in the paper, which supports the understanding of the process of change, is that of acculturation. Acculturation is the process by which an individual acquires and adapts to a new cultural environment as a result of being placed in a new culture. The theoretical approach led to an objective understanding of the process of identity change in a given context. Symbolic interactionism theory aims to reveal the internal mechanisms of identity formation by overcoming the opposition between the individual and the collective, and ethno-linguistic identity theory posits that when faced with alternative courses of action, individuals will choose the one that will enhance their self-presentation. The aim of this article is to examine identity-level changes in migrants who have undergone the processes of adaptation, assimilation, and integration in the country of migration from a psychosocial perspective. In order to achieve this aim, an interview with 30 Romanians who emigrated abroad was conducted. Based on a conceptual and methodological framework, the present article carried out a thematic analysis in which the most significant changes in mentality, thinking, self-esteem, principles of life, culture, attitude and behavior, identity place/space, etc. were highlighted through concrete quotes from the interviews with the migrants, all of which were explained through the identity-migration theory. The paper approaches the application of the Activity-Based Costing (ABC) calculation method within an accounting services company. The method is among the modern methods used in the calculation of the cost which takes into consideration a more cautious distribution of resources based on the activities that lead to the achievement of an objective. The purpose of the study is the distribution of costs to the groups of significant services performed by the accounting company: bookkeeping services, general accounting services and the preparation of financial statements and analysis. The ABC method starts from the organization of the company by processes and activities and from a less subjective allocation of overheads compared to the traditional method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Organizations are dealing these days with complex, demanding processes of transformation towards an elusive target generically known as Business or Enterprise Agility. Agile was born in the software realm, but after years of improvement and maturing is now a recipe for success across the different areas in organizations. But the transformation process towards Business Agility is not well known. We have individual experiences, detailed works about transformation in teams, some departments or some companies, and general surveys based in perception, not in objective data. This ongoing work is trying to identify the most relevant and impactful factors in Agile Transformation starting with the literature already available. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

These days, we are taking part at an increasing rate of business digitization, and without a doubt, we encounter difficulties in maintaining a clear overview of the business processes within an organization. Considering each business flow a puzzle piece of the entire company landscape, we aim to highlight the importance of documenting each 'working piece' with no other priorities. Having this focus in mind, as business intelligence and software developers, we can't imagine this puzzle with a missing piece. Being aware of the fact that a solid base is built piece by piece, both the image of the company and its productivity can suffer because of omissions related to essential details, details that in the context of competition in today's marketplace end up making the difference between the clients' choices. So, each piece, each workflow, no matter how small, is essential to the overall success of a company. In this paper, we wish to emphasize the importance of proper documentation that presumes a wellpointed business analysis, the foundation upon which a successful business thrives. Dominant processes in a watershed are those that most strongly control hydrologic function and response. Estimating dominant processes enables hydrologists to design physically realistic streamflow generation models, design management interventions, and understand how climate and landscape features control hydrologic function. A recent approach to estimating dominant processes is through their link to hydrologic signatures, which are metrics that characterize the streamflow timeseries. Previous authors have used results from experimental watersheds to link signature values to underlying processes, but these links have not been tested on large scales. This paper fills that gap by testing signatures in large sample data sets from the U.S., Great Britain, Australia, and Brazil, and in Critical Zone Observatory (CZO) watersheds. We found that most inter‐signature correlations are consistent with process interpretations, that is, signatures that are supposed to represent the same process are correlated, and most signature values are consistent with process knowledge in CZO watersheds. Some exceptions occurred, such as infiltration and saturation excess processes that were often misidentified by signatures. Signature distributions vary by country, emphasizing the importance of regional context in understanding signature‐process links and in classifying signature values as "high" or "low." Not all signatures were easily transferable from single, small watersheds to large sample studies, showing that visual or process‐based assessment of signatures is important before large‐scale use. We provide a summary table with information on the reliability of each signature for process identification. Overall, our results provide a reference for future studies that seek to use signatures to identify hydrological processes. Key Points: Large sample signature distributions enabled us to put signature values into context as high or low, but differ by countryMost signatures agreed with the processes they are supposed to represent, except for infiltration and saturation excess signaturesWe provide a table of signatures with recommendations on their reliability and use for process interpretation [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
