In order to improve the machining quality and efficiency and optimize NC machining programming, based on the existing cutting force models for ball-end, a cutting force prediction model of free-form surface for ball-end was established. By analyzing the force of the system during the cutting process, we obtained the expression equation of the instantaneous undeformed chip thickness during the milling process and then determined the rule of the influence of the lead angle and the tilt angle on the instantaneous undeformed chip thickness. It was judged whether the cutter edge microelement is involved in cutting, and the algorithm flow chart is given. After that, the cutting force prediction model of free-form surface for ball-end and pseudocodes for cutting force prediction were given. MATLAB was used to simulate the prediction force model. Finally, through the comparative analysis experiment of the measured cutting force and the simulated cutting force, the experimental results are basically consistent with the theoretical prediction results, which proves that the model established in this paper can accurately predict the change of the cutting force of the ball-end cutter in the process of milling free-form surface, and the error of the cutting force prediction model established in this paper is reduced by 15% compared with the traditional cutting force prediction model.

The purpose of this paper is to recommend an iterative scheme to approximate a common element of the solution sets of the split problem of variational inclusions, split generalized equilibrium problem and fixed point problem for non-expansive mappings. We prove that the sequences generated by the recommended iterative scheme strongly converge to a common element of solution sets of stated split problems. In the end, we provide a numerical example to support and justify our main result. The result studied in this paper generalizes and extends some widely recognized results in this direction.

The ℱ -coindex (forgotten topological coindex) for a simple connected graph G is defined as the sum of the terms ζ G 2 y + ζ G 2 x over all nonadjacent vertex pairs x , y of G , where ζ G y and ζ G x are the degrees of the vertices y and x in G , respectively. The ℱ -index of a graph is defined as the sum of cubes of the vertex degrees of the graph. This was introduced in 1972 in the same paper where the first and second Zagreb indices were introduced to study the structure dependency of total π -electron energy. Therefore, considering the importance of the ℱ -index and ℱ -coindex, in this paper, we study these indices, and we present new bounds for the ℱ -index and ℱ -coindex.

In this paper, the author focuses on the joint effects of diffusion and advection on the dynamics of a classical two species Lotka-Volterra competition-diffusion-advection system, where the ratio of diffusion and advection rates are supposed to be a positive constant. For comparison purposes, the two species are assumed to have identical competition abilities throughout this paper. The results explore the condition on the diffusion and advection rates for the stability of former species. Meanwhile, an asymptotic behavior of the stable coexistence steady states is obtained.

In this paper, variational discretization directed against the optimal control problem governed by nonlinear parabolic equations with control constraints is studied. It is known that the a priori error estimates is $|||u-u_h|||_{L^\infty(J; L^2(\Omega))} = O(h+k)$ using backward Euler method for standard finite element. In this paper, the better result $|||u-u_h|||_{L^\infty(J; L^2(\Omega))} = O(h^2+k)$ is gained. Beyond that, we get a posteriori error estimates of residual type.

In this paper, we introduce a new type of a generalized split monotone variational inclusion (GSMVI) problem in the framework of real Hilbert spaces. By incorporating an inertial extrapolation method and an Halpern iterative technique, we establish a strong convergence result for approximating a solution of GSMVI and fixed point problems of certain nonlinear mappings in the framework of real Hilbert spaces. Many existing results are derived as corollaries to our main result. Furthermore, we present a numerical example to support our main result and propose an open problem for interested researchers in this area. The result obtained in this paper improves and generalizes many existing results in the literature.

This paper is dedicated to L p bounds on eigenfunctions of a Schrodinger-type operator ( − Δ g ) α / 2 + V on closed Riemannian manifolds for critically singular potentials V. The operator ( − Δ g ) α / 2 is defined spectrally in terms of the eigenfunctions of − Δ g . We obtain also quasimodes and spectral clusters estimates. As an application, we derive Strichartz estimates for the fractional wave equation ( ∂ t 2 + ( − Δ g ) α / 2 + V ) u = 0 . The wave kernel techniques recently developed by Bourgain-Shao-Sogge-Yao [4] and Shao-Yao [27] play a key role in this paper. We construct a new reproducing operator with several local operators and some good error terms. Moreover, we shall prove that these local operators satisfy certain variable coefficient versions of the “uniform Sobolev estimates” by Kenig-Ruiz-Sogge [18] . These enable us to handle the critically singular potentials V and prove the quasimode estimates.

The paper deals with various generalized solutions to one-dimensional pressureless gas dynamics. Along with the entropy solutions other solutions are considered that include the combination of concentration and decay processes. This research is motivated by multidimensional case where the concentration mechanism seems to be not enough for the construction of rigorous theory. Thus the present paper describes in one-dimensional setting a possible behavior that could appear in multidimensional case.

The paper is devoted to the new approach to systems of quasilinear conservation laws which leads to the alternative view of weak solution and to the possibility of developing a new type calculation algorithms for such systems on the basis of neural networks technology. The approach under consideration is the further development of variational point of view to systems of conservation laws that was earlier described by the author. In this paper the multi-dimensional setting is considered but main results are shown in one- and two-dimensional cases.

so-metrizable spaces are a class of important generalized metric spaces between metric spaces and s n sn -metrizable spaces where a space is called an so-metrizable space if it has a σ \sigma -locally finite so-network. As the further work that attaches to the celebrated Alexandrov conjecture, it is interesting to characterize so-metrizable spaces by images of metric spaces. This paper gives such characterizations for so-metrizable spaces. More precisely, this paper introduces so-open mappings and uses the “Pomomarev’s method” to prove that a space X X is an so-metrizable space if and only if it is an so-open, compact-covering, σ \sigma -image of a metric space, if and only if it is an so-open, σ \sigma -image of a metric space. In addition, it is shown that so-open mapping is a simplified form of s n sn -open mapping (resp. 2-sequence-covering mapping if the domain is metrizable). Results of this paper give some new characterizations of so-metrizable spaces and establish some equivalent relations among so-open mapping, s n sn -open mapping and 2-sequence-covering mapping, which further enrich and deepen generalized metric space theory.

Market integration is an important tool for China’s regionally coordinated economic development. At the same time, China is implementing an innovation-driven development strategy. Therefore, the way the market integration affects regional innovation is of great significance to analyze this problem. The panel data of 27 cities in the Yangtze River Delta region in China with the highest degree of economic integration from 2009 to 2018 are used to investigate the impact of market integration (MI) on regional innovation (RI). The main findings are as follows: the first-order lag term of RI is significantly positive, and RI has certain path dependence. In this regard, MI has a positive impact on RI and promotes RI. The estimated coefficient of MI is significantly positive and has a positive impact on RI and promotes RI. This provides a reference for promoting RI through MI. The contributions of the paper are threefold: (1) This paper examines the impact of MI on RI to provide policy implications for the coordinated development of innovation between regions. (2) The relative price method is adopted to measure the MI, which covers 16 kinds of commodities, covering a wider range than does the traditional method. (3) This paper uses the generalized method of moments (GMM) to test the effect of MI on RI for the first time.

In this paper we determine two asymptotic results for Jack measures on partitions, a model defined by two specializations of Jack polynomials proposed by Borodin-Olshanski in [European J. Combin. 26.6 (2005): 795-834]. Assuming these two specializations are the same, we derive limit shapes and Gaussian fluctuations for the anisotropic profiles of these random partitions in three asymptotic regimes associated to diverging, fixed, and vanishing values of the Jack parameter. To do so, we introduce a generalization of Motzkin paths we call "ribbon paths", show for general Jack measures that certain joint cumulants are weighted sums of connected ribbon paths on $n$ sites with $n-1+g$ pairings, and derive our two results from the contributions of $(n,g)=(1,0)$ and $(2,0)$, respectively. Our analysis makes use of Nazarov-Sklyanin's spectral theory for Jack polynomials. As a consequence, we give new proofs of several results for Schur measures, Plancherel measures, and Jack-Plancherel measures. In addition, we relate our weighted sums of ribbon paths to the weighted sums of ribbon graphs of maps on non-oriented real surfaces recently introduced by Chapuy-Dol\k{e}ga., Comment: Several results in this paper first appeared in the author's unpublished monograph arXiv:1508.03063. As a special type of enterprises with high risks, Chinese commercial banks’ risk management plays an important role in banks’ business process. Measuring and improving the risk management efficiency of the Chinese commercial banking system has recently attracted increasing interest. Previous studies analyze the business performance of commercial banks from the perspective of the overall management level of banks, and few articles focus on the risk management ability of banks. This paper evaluates the technical efficiencies of Chinese commercial banks’ risk management by the DEA-BCC model with window analysis to come up with some recommendations for policy makers. The technical efficiency is then decomposed into pure technology efficiency and scale efficiency. According to the banking risk supervision indicators released by the China Banking Regulatory Commission, we choose the indicators of 26 commercial banks’ risk management during the period of 2011 to 2019. Principal component analysis (PCA) is applied to delete redundant input indicators. The paper gives a dynamic evaluation of technology efficiency, pure technology efficiency, and scale efficiency. The main empirical results are as follows: (1) the technical efficiency of Chinese commercial banks’ risk management is low, and the differences among three different types of banks are large. (2) The pure technology inefficiency of Chinese commercial banks’ risk management has become a key factor restricting the improvement of the risk management of the Chinese banking industry. (3) The Chinese commercial banks’ risk management faces a serious problem which is economies of scale. (4) The technical efficiencies of Chinese commercial banks’ risk management fluctuate greatly, and management capabilities need to be enhanced urgently.

In a recent paper, Ng, Tang and Tsai (Math. Ann. 2020) have found an explicit formula for the squeezing function of an annulus via the Loewner differential equation. Their result has led them to conjecture a corresponding formula for planar domains of any finite connectivity stating that the extremum in the squeezing function problem is achieved for a suitably chosen conformal mapping onto a circularly slit disk. In this paper we disprove this conjecture. We also give a conceptually simple potential-theoretic proof of the explicit formula for the squeezing function of an annulus which has the added advantage of identifying all extremal functions., Comment: Version 2: (1) a statement on the history of the notion of squeezing function has been corrected; (2) a new reference [5] (F. The existing Z -test for correlated proportions under classical statistics is applied when observations in the data are exact and precise. In the current paper, Z -test for correlated proportions is proposed to deal with the data having indeterminate observations. The statistic of Z -test for correlated proportions under neutrosophy is introduced in the paper. The testing procedure of the proposed test is given. The application of the proposed test is given using the price of oil data. From the application, it is clear that the proposed test outperforms the existing Z -test for correlated proportions under classical statistics in terms of flexibility, adequacy, and information. The simulation study also shows the effect of indeterminacy on the statistic of the proposed test.

This paper is devoted to investigate the possible ways of distinguishing regular and singular black holes (BHs) in modified gravity (MOG) called regular MOG (RMOG) and Schwarzschild MOG (SMOG) BHs through observational data from twin peak quasiperiodic oscillations (QPOs) which are generated by test particles in stable orbits around the BHs. The presence of MOG field causes to sufficiently the mpeak in effective potential for a radial motion of test particles. The effect of MOG parameter on specific angular momentum and energy has also studied. As a main part of the paper, we focus on investigations of QPOs around SMOG and RMOG BHs in RP model and the relations of upper and lower frequencies of twin peak QPOs in SMOG and RMOG BH models together with extreme rotating Kerr and Schwarzschild BH. Moreover, possible parameters for the central BHs of the objects GRS J1915 + 105 and XTE 1550 – 564 have also obtained numerically in the relativistic precession (RP) model. Finally, we provide comparisons of the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) and the orbits where twin peak QPOs with the ratio 3:2 taken place and show that QPOs can not be generated at/inside ISCO and there is a correlation between the radius of ISCO and QPO orbits.

The governments need beforehand to perceive the innovative relationship risk because they are one of the innovation subjects in those industry collaborative innovation alliances. However, it is difficult for innovation subjects to quantify the risks for industry collaborative innovation alliances due to the complexity, nonlinear, and dynamic condition. This paper firstly constructs an ordered logistic model, uses the following as independent variables: the collaborative degree, the ratio of science technology expenditure to GDP, the ratio of education expenditure to GDP, the ratio of finances to GDP, and uses the levels of risk as the dependent variable. Then, this paper uses the panel data of 30 provinces in China (Hainan is not included) from 2010 to 2018 to fit the model. Based on the fitting results, the research has gained the relationship risk prewarning model in industry collaborative innovation alliances by using the collaborative degree as an independent variable. The governments at all levels can use this relationship risk prewarning model to percept risk levels and reckon the corresponding probability which exists in industry collaborative innovation alliances. Furthermore, there are regional influences existing in the prewarning relationship risk levels in industry collaborative alliances. The east and middle areas have significant regional influence, but it does not exist among west areas and others. The governments at all levels may consider the regional differences.

This paper deals with a version of the two-timing method which describes various ‘slow’ effects caused by externally imposed ‘fast’ oscillations. Such small oscillations are often called vibrations and the research area can be referred as vibrodynamics. The governing equations represent a generic system of first-order ODEs containing a prescribed oscillating velocity $${\varvec{u}}$$ , given in a general form. Two basic small parameters stand in for the inverse frequency and the ratio of two time-scales; they appear in equations as regular perturbations. The proper connections between these parameters yield the distinguished limits, leading to the existence of closed systems of asymptotic equations. The aim of this paper is twofold: (i) to clarify (or to demystify) the choices of a slow variable, and (ii) to give a coherent exposition which is accessible for practical users in applied mathematics, sciences and engineering. We focus our study on the usually hidden aspects of the two-timing method such as the uniqueness or multiplicity of distinguished limits and universal structures of averaged equations. The main result is the demonstration that there are two (and only two) different distinguished limits. The explicit instruction for practically solving ODEs for different classes of $${\varvec{u}}$$ is presented. The key roles of drift velocity and the qualitatively new appearance of the linearized equations are discussed. To illustrate the broadness of our approach, two examples from mathematical biology are shown.

This paper mainly studies the influence of dynamic cognitive diagnosis on personalized learning. Considering the influence of knowledge correlation factors and human brain memory factors on learning activities, a knowledge tracing model integrating learning factors is proposed. Firstly, based on the exercise-knowledge association information, the model maps learners and exercises to the knowledge space with clear meaning. Then, the evolution process of learners’ knowledge learning is quantitatively modeled in the knowledge space by integrating the classical learning curve and forgetting curve theory of pedagogy. On the other hand, considering the influence of topic semantics in the learning process, a knowledge tracing model integrating topic semantics is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the model designs a dynamic enhanced memory network to store the common information of knowledge and describes the learners’ dynamic mastery of knowledge. Secondly, the depth representation method of exercise resources is proposed to mine the text personality information and integrate it into the process of learners’ knowledge change modeling. Through a large number of experiments on exercise records, it is verified that the proposed model has accurate prediction performance and knowledge tracing interpretability.

In this paper, in the light of weighted sharing of sets, we investigate the possible uniqueness of meromorphic function of restricted hyper order with its linear c-shift operator. Our first two theorems improve a number of earlier results. Our last theorem together with a corollary improves and extends a result due to Li, Lu and Xu [14]. Most importantly, our another corollary deducted from the last theorem not only provides an answer to an open question posed by Liu [16] but also noticeably improves two results of Chen and Chen [4]. A number of examples have been exhibited by us pertinent with the content of the paper. At the penultimate section which is also the application part of our result, we extend a recent result of Liu, Ma and Zhai [17]. Finally, presenting two examples, we conjecture that one of our result may hold for a larger class of functions and we place it as an open question for future investigations.

In this paper, extended H $$\ddot{o}$$ lder class $$H_\alpha ^{(w)}[0,\mu )$$ is considered. This class is the generalization of H $$\ddot{o}$$ lder class $$H_\alpha [0,\mu )$$ . Three new estimators $$E_N^{(1)}(f), E_N^{(2)}(f)$$ and $$E_N^{(3)}(f)$$ of functions of classes $$H_\alpha [0,\mu )$$ and $$H_\alpha ^{(w)}[0,\mu )$$ have been obtained. These estimators are best in approximation of functions by wavelet methods. The estimators obtained in this paper and the solution of ordinary and partial differential equations by extended Haar wavelet operational matrix method in the interval $$[0,\mu )$$ and its comparison with exact solution for different values of $$\mu$$ are the significant achievement of this research paper in approximation theory as well as Wavelet Analysis.

The study of the Dirichlet problem with arbitrary measurable data for harmonic functions in the unit disk 𝔻 is due to the dissertation of Luzin. Later on, the known monograph of Vekua was devoted to boundary-value problems only with Holder continuous data for generalized analytic functions, i.e., continuous complex-valued functions f(z) of the complex variable z = x + iy with generalized first partial derivatives by Sobolev satisfying equations of the form $$ {\partial}_{\overline{z}}f+ af+b\overline{f}=c, $$ where the complexvalued functions a; b, and c are assumed to belong to the class Lp with some p > 2 in smooth enough domains D in ℂ. Our last paper [12] contained theorems on the existence of nonclassical solutions of the Hilbert boundaryvalue problem with arbitrary measurable data (with respect to logarithmic capacity) for generalized analytic functions f : D → ℂ such that $$ {\partial}_{\overline{z}}f=g $$ with the real-valued sources. On this basis, the corresponding existence theorems were established for the Poincare problem on directional derivatives and, in particular, for the Neumann problem to the Poisson equations △U = G ∈ Lp; p > 2, with arbitrary measurable boundary data over logarithmic capacity. The present paper is a natural continuation of the article [12] and includes, in particular, theorems on the existence of solutions for the Hilbert boundary-value problem with arbitrary measurable data for the corresponding nonlinear equations of the Vekua type $$ {\partial}_{\overline{z}}f(z)=h(z)q\left(f(z)\right). $$ On this basis, existence theorems were also established for the Poincar´e boundary-value problem and, in particular, for the Neumann problem for the nonlinear Poisson equations of the form △U(z) = H(z)Q(U(z)) with arbitrary measurable boundary data over logarithmic capacity. The Dirichlet problem was investigated by us for the given equations, too. Our approach is based on the interpretation of boundary values in the sense of angular (along nontangential paths) limits that are a conventional tool of the geometric function theory. As consequences, we give applications to some concrete semi-linear equations of mathematical physics arising from modelling various physical processes. Those results can also be applied to semi-linear equations of mathematical physics in anisotropic and inhomogeneous media.

An efficient estimation of the rotor position has always been a premise of the reliable operation for the interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSM), especially for low-speed conditions because of the small back electromotive force (EMF) and low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The commonly used observation method, e.g., sliding mode observer (SMO), is suitable for these surface mounted motors and has no great adaptability to the saliency. In this paper, a novel rotor position (including the real-time position and initial position) estimation method was proposed based on the traditional high-frequency signal injection method. Firstly, high-frequency signals were injected to induce the high-frequency current components which contain the rotor position information. Then, the sliding discrete Fourier transform (SDFT) algorithm was used to extract the amplitudes of the induced current components which could be used to get the real-time and initial rotor positions by a proportional integral (PI) regulator and a polarity identification. Lastly, with the established experiments’ platform, the estimation tests of the rotor position at a low speed have been completed to make verification of the effectiveness of the approach studied in this paper.

In their 2012 paper, Bobadilla and Koll\'ar studied topological conditions which guarantee that a proper map of complex algebraic varieties is a topological or differentiable fibration. They also asked whether a certain finiteness property on the relative covering space can imply that a proper map is a fibration. In this paper, we answer positively the integral homology version of their question in the case of abelian varieties, and the rational homology version in the case of compact ball quotients. In her seminal 2008 paper, Maryam Mirzakhani showed that the ratio that two topological types of curves occur in is a rational number. In this paper we describe the process by which we obtained experimental evidence that separating and non-separating curves on the surface of genus two occur in the ratio 1 : 48.

A question of Conca, Rossi, and Valla asks whether every quadratic Gorenstein ring $R$ of regularity three is Koszul. In a previous paper, we use idealization to answer their question, proving that in nine or more variables there exist quadratic Gorenstein rings of regularity three which are not Koszul. In this paper, we study the analog of the Conca-Rossi-Valla question when the regularity of $R$ is four or more. Let $R$ be a quadratic Gorenstein ring having $\mathrm{codim}\, R = c$ and $\mathrm{reg}\, R = r \ge 4$. We prove that if $c = r+1$ then $R$ is always Koszul, and for every $c \geq r+2$, we construct quadratic Gorenstein rings that are not Koszul, answering questions of Matsuda and Migliore-Nagel concerning the $h$-vectors of quadratic Gorenstein rings., Comment: v2 - Minor changes based on referee comments

With the increasing importance of mathematics in basic education, how to evaluate and analyze the intelligent effect of mathematics teaching classroom through scientific methods has become one of the indicators to evaluate the intelligent classroom. This paper studies the design and application of mathematics teaching intelligent classroom based on the PCA-NN (principal component analysis-neural network) algorithm. Firstly, this paper briefly describes the current research status of mathematics teaching intelligent classroom design and PCA-NN algorithm. Secondly, combined with the key factors of mathematics teaching, it formulates specific standards and puts forward an adaptive strategy of intelligent and personalized intelligent mathematics teaching classroom. Finally, the algorithm is verified by experiments. The results show that, for students with different mathematics basic levels, the mathematics teaching intelligent classroom based on the PCA-NN algorithm can effectively improve the quality of mathematics classroom teaching. Through the research on the factors such as teaching quality, effect, and interaction mode involved in the process of mathematics teaching classroom design, the intelligent classroom design factors affecting teaching quality are determined. This paper analyzes and studies the system from different angles. The research results provide some help for the current quality evaluation of classroom teaching and use the PCA-NN algorithm to make quantitative analysis and multivariate verification of mathematics classroom teaching effect.

Given a formal flat meromorphic connection over an excellent scheme over a field of characteristic zero, in a previous paper we established existence of good formal structures and a good Deligne-Malgrange lattice after suitably blowing up. In this paper, we reinterpret and refine these results by introducing some related structures. We consider the turning locus, which is the set of points at which one cannot achieve a good formal structure without blowing up. We show that when the polar divisor has normal crossings, the turning locus is of pure codimension 1 within the polar divisor, and hence of pure codimension 2 within the full space; this had been previously established by Andre in the case of a smooth polar divisor. We also construct an irregularity sheaf and its associated b-divisor, which measure irregularity along divisors on blowups of the original space; this generalizes another result of Andre on the semicontinuity of irregularity in a curve fibration. One concrete consequence of these refinements is a process for resolution of turning points which is functorial with respect to regular morphisms of excellent schemes; this allows us to transfer the result from schemes to formal schemes, complex analytic varieties, and nonarchimedean analytic varieties., 27 pages; v4: refereed version; some technical edits in 2.2

The initial level of mortality and the rate at which mortality rises with age are generally expressed in terms of the Gompertz force of mortality (hazard function). In their paper, James W. Vaupel and others define the Gompertz force of mortality as the rate at which mortality rises with age and the modal age at death. In this paper we estimate the Gompertz force of mortality and prove uniqueness theorem.

In this paper we propose a new approach to the construction of quadrature formulas of interpolation rational type on an interval. In the introduction, a brief analysis of the results on the topic of the research is carried out. Most attention is paid to the works of mathematicians of the Belarusian school on approximation theory – Gauss, Lobatto, and Radau quadrature formulas with nodes at the zeros of the rational Chebyshev – Markov fractions. Rational fractions on the segment, generalizing the classical orthogonal Jacobi polynomials with one weight, are defined, and some of their properties are described. One of the main results of this paper consists in constructing quadrature formulas with nodes at zeros of the introduced rational fractions, calculating their coefficients in an explicit form, and estimating the remainder. This result is preceded by some auxiliary statements describing the properties of special rational functions. Classical methods of mathematical analysis, approximation theory, and the theory of functions of a complex variable are used for proof. In the conclusion a numerical analysis of the efficiency of the constructed quadrature formulas is carried out. Meanwhile, the choice of the parameters on which the nodes of the quadrature formulas depend is made in several standard ways. The obtained results can be applied for further research of rational quadrature formulas, as well as in numerical analysis.

This paper is a synopsis of the recent book [9]. The latter is dedicated to the stochastic Burgers equation as a model for 1d turbulence, and the paper discusses its content in relation to the Kolmogorov theory of turbulence.

The cable-stayed bridge is widely used due to its strong spanning capacity and navigability. However, flexible cables parametrically resonated by external excitation may result in instability or even damage to the bridge. To prevent such undesirable resonance, this paper discusses an in-plane modal interaction-induced parametric resonance of the stayed cable excited by the bridge deck vibration via nonlinear dynamic analysis. Based on the nonlinear distributed model, two modal governing equations of the cable are established via the Galerkin method. A certain working condition, when the external excitation frequency is close to the second-order natural frequency of the stay cable while nearly twice the first-order natural frequency, is theoretically and experimentally investigated. Specifically, the frequency response equations are obtained by the multiscale method, and the stability of solutions is examined through the Routh Hurwitz criterion. Theoretical and experimental results show that bridge deck vibration can induce not only the primary and superharmonic resonance of the cable but also the principal parametric resonance. Parametric resonance-induced bifurcations are also observed in the system. Particularly, the energy exchange from second-order primary resonance to first-order principal parametric resonance is found, which can induce the parametric resonance with the response amplitude one to three times higher than that of the primary resonance. This paper also validates the superiority of the present modal interaction model over the traditional single-mode model in practical engineering applications.

The main objective of this paper is to construct a new sequence of operators involving Apostol-Genocchi polynomials based on certain parameters. We investigate the rate of convergence of the operators given in this paper using second-order modulus of continuity and Voronovskaja type approximation theorem. Moreover, we find weighted approximation result of the given operators. Finally, we derive the Kantorovich variant of the given operators and discussed the approximation results.

This paper establishes a model of continuous-state branching processes with time inhomogeneous competition in Levy random environments. Some results on extinction are presented, including the distribution of the extinction time, the limiting distribution conditioned on large extinction times and the asymptotic behavior near extinction. This paper also provides a new time-space transformation which can be used for further exploration in similar models. The results are applied to an epidemic model to describe the dynamics of infectious population and a virus model to describe the dynamics of viral load.

The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate how the implementation of Lean & Green (L&G) in an Industry 4.0 (I4.0) environment can enhance the potential impact of the L&G approach and help manufacturing companies moving towards higher operational and sustainable performances. The research work developed here shows that although a proper definition of L&G is neither exposed worldwide nor explicitly implemented under that name, the current industrial firms are deeply concerned about the demanding challenge of keeping businesses flexible and agile without forgetting strategies to minimize the acceleration of climate change. So, one contribution of this paper is the identification and characterization of L&G drivers and design principles, supporting a robust and well-informed L&G systems implementation. As inferred from the research work, this challenge demands high quality and updated data together with assertive information. Thus, the implementation of L&G in I4.0 contexts is the answer to overcome the identified barriers. Likewise, an L&G system contributes to overcoming the challenges of I4.0 implementation regarding the triple bottom line sustainability concept. Consequently, another contribution of this paper is to depict why an L&G system performs better in the I4.0 context.

This paper is devoted to exact (in the sense of the order of smallness) estimates of the best rational approximations of functions with derivative of generalized finite variation on a finite segment of a straight line in uniform and integral metrics. The obtained results were announced in the authors' paper in 2014. They are analogous to the results of the first author, where A. Khatamov establishes exact (in the sense of the order of smallness) estimates of the best spline approximations of functions with derivative of generalized finite variation on a finite segment of a straight line in uniform and integral metrics. Results announced by the authors in 2014 generalize those obtained by N.Sh. Zagirov in 1982, namely, exact (in the sense of the order of smallness) estimates of rational approximations of functions with generalized finite variation in the integral metric, to the best rational approximations of functions with derivative of generalized finite variation on a finite segment in uniform and integral metrics. Generally speaking, the calculation of exact (in the sense of the order of smallness) estimates for the best approximations for any class of functions in any metric is a difficult problem.

The renormalization group method has been developed to investigate p-adic q-state Potts models on the Cayley tree of order k. This method is closely related to the examination of dynamical behavior of the p-adic Potts–Bethe mapping which depends on the parameters q, k. In Mukhamedov and Khakimov [Chaotic behavior of the p-adic Potts–Behte mapping. Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst.38 (2018), 231–245], we have considered the case when q is not divisible by p and, under some conditions, it was established that the mapping is conjugate to the full shift on $\kappa _p$ symbols (here $\kappa _p$ is the greatest common factor of k and $p-1$ ). The present paper is a continuation of the forementioned paper, but here we investigate the case when q is divisible by p and k is arbitrary. We are able to fully describe the dynamical behavior of the p-adic Potts–Bethe mapping by means of a Markov partition. Moreover, the existence of a Julia set is established, over which the mapping exhibits a chaotic behavior. We point out that a similar result is not known in the case of real numbers (with rigorous proofs).

This paper presents sufficient conditions for a substitution tiling dynamical system of $\mathbb {R}^2$ , generated by a generalized substitution on three letters, to be topologically mixing. These conditions are shown to hold on a large class of tiling substitutions originally presented by Kenyon in 1996. This problem was suggested by Boris Solomyak, and many of the techniques that are used in this paper are based on the work by Kenyon, Sadun, and Solomyak [Topological mixing for substitutions on two letters. Ergod. Th. & Dynam. Sys.25(6) (2005), 1919–1934]. They studied one-dimensional tiling dynamical systems generated by substitutions on two letters and provided similar conditions sufficient to ensure that one-dimensional substitution tiling dynamical systems are topologically mixing. If a tiling dynamical system of $\mathbb {R}^2$ satisfies our conditions (and thus is topologically mixing), we can construct additional topologically mixing tiling dynamical systems of $\mathbb {R}^2$ . By considering the stepped surface constructed from a tiling $T_\sigma $ , we can get a new tiling of $\mathbb {R}^2$ by projecting the surface orthogonally onto an irrational plane through the origin.

In this paper, uniformly most powerful unbiased test for testing the stress-strength model has been presented for the first time. The end of the paper is recommending a method which is appropriate for no large data where a normal asymptotic distribution is not applicable. The previous methods for inference on stress-strength models use almost all the asymptotic properties of maximum likelihood estimators. The distribution of components is considered exponential and generalized logistic. A corresponding unbiased confidence interval is constructed, too. We compare presented methodology with previous methods and show the method of this paper is logically better than other methods. Interesting result is that our recommended method not only uses from small sample size but also has better result than other ones.

We compare crystal combinatorics of the level 2 Fock space with the classification of unitary irreducible representations of type B rational Cherednik algebras to study how unitarity behaves under parabolic restriction. First, we show that any finite-dimensional unitary irreducible representation of such an algebra is labeled by a bipartition consisting of a rectangular partition in one component and the empty partition in the other component. This is a new proof of a result that can be deduced from theorems of Montarani and Etingof-Stoica. Second, we show that the crystal operators that remove boxes preserve the combinatorial conditions for unitarity, and that the parabolic restriction functors categorifying the crystals send irreducible unitary representations to unitary representations. In this paper we discuss about normalized holomorphic functions whose derivatives have positive real part. For this class of functions, denoted $R$ , we present a general distortion result (some upper bounds for the modulus of the $k$ - th derivative of a function). We present also some remarks on the functions whose derivatives have positive real part of order $\alpha$ . More details about these classes of functions can be found in \cite {macgregor}, \cite {thomas}, \cite [Chapter 4]{ mocanu } and \cite {krishna}. In the last part of this paper we present two new subclasses of normalized holomorphic functions whose derivatives have positive real part which generalize the classes $R$ and $R(\alpha)$ . For these classes we present some general results and examples.

China is gradually transitioning from the “tunnel construction era” to the “tunnel maintenance era,” and more and more operating tunnels need to be inspected for diseases. With the continuous development of computer vision, the automatic identification of tunnel lining cracks with computers has gradually been applied in engineering. On the basis of summarizing the weaknesses and strengths of previous studies, this paper first uses the improved multiscale Retinex algorithm to filter the collected tunnel crack images and introduces the eight-direction Sobel edge detection operator to extract the edges of the cracks. Perform mathematical morphological operations on the image after edge extraction, and use the principle of the smallest enclosing rectangle to remove the isolated points of the image. Finally, the performance of the algorithm is judged by the objective evaluation index of the image, the accuracy of crack recognition, and the running time of the algorithm. The image filtering algorithm proposed in this paper can better preserve the edges of the image while enhancing the image. The objective evaluation indexes of the image have been improved significantly, and the main body of the crack can be accurately identified. The overall crack recognition accuracy rate can reach 97.5%, which is higher than the existing tunnel lining crack recognition algorithm, and the average calculation time for each image is shorter. This algorithm has high research significance and engineering application value.

Extreme value theory (EVT) is useful for modeling the impact of crashes or situations of extreme stress on investor portfolios. EVT is mostly utilized in financial modeling, risk management, insurance, and hydrology. The price of gold fluctuates considerably over time, and this introduces a risk on its own. The goal of this study is to analyze the risk of gold investment by applying the EVT to historical daily data for extreme daily losses and gains in the price of gold. We used daily gold prices in the Pakistan Bullion Market from August 1, 2011 to July 30, 2021. This paper covers two methods such as Block Maxima (BM) and Peak Over Threshold (POT) modeling. The risk measures which are adopted in this paper are Value at Risk (VaR) and Expected Shortfall (ES). The point and interval estimates of VaR and ES are obtained by fitting the Generalized Pareto (GPA) distribution. Moreover, in this paper, return-level forecasting is also included for the next 5 and 10 years by analyzing the Generalized Extreme Value (GEV) distribution.

In 1993, Shub and Smale posed the problem of finding a sequence of univariate polynomials of degree $N$ with condition number bounded above by $N$. In a previous paper by C. Belt\'an, U. Etayo, J. Marzo and J. Ortega-Cerd\`a, it was proved that the optimal value of the condition number is of the form $O(\sqrt{N})$, and the sequence demanded by Shub and Smale was described by a closed formula (for large enough $N\geqslant N_0$ with $N_0$ unknown) and by a search algorithm for the rest of the cases. In this paper we find concrete estimates for the constant hidden in the $O(\sqrt{N})$ term and we describe a simple formula for a sequence of polynomials whose condition number is at most $N$, valid for all $N=4M^2$, with $M$ a positive integer., Comment: 21 pages

The purpose of this paper is to introduce the notation of single-valued neutrosophic hyper BCK-subalgebras and a novel concept of neutro hyper BCK-algebras as a generalization and alternative of hyper BCK-algebras, that have a larger applicable field. In order to realize the article’s goals, we construct single-valued neutrosophic hyper BCK-subalgebras and neutro hyper BCK-algebras on a given nonempty set. The result of the research is the generalization of single-valued neutrosophic BCK-subalgebras and neutro BCK-algebras to single-valued neutrosophic hyper BCK-subalgebras and neutro hyper BCK-algebras, respectively. Also, some results are obtained between extended (extendable) single-valued neutrosophic BCK-subalgebras and single-valued neutrosophic hyper BCK-subalgebras via fundamental relation. The paper includes implications for the development of single-valued neutrosophic BCK-subalgebras and neutro BCK-algebras and for modelling the uncertainty problems by single-valued neutrosophic hyper BCK-subalgebras and neutro hyper BCK-algebras. The new conception of single-valued neutrosophic hyper BCK-subalgebras and neutro hyper BCK-algebras was given for the first time in this paper. We find a method that can apply these concepts in some complex networks.

With the increasing maturity of speech synthesis technology, on the one hand, it has been more and more widely used in people’s lives; on the other hand, it also brings more and more convenience to people. The requirements for speech synthesis systems are getting higher and higher. Therefore, advanced technology is used to improve and update the accent recognition system. This paper mainly introduces the word stress annotation technology combined with neural network speech synthesis technology. In Chinese speech synthesis, prosodic structure prediction has a great influence on naturalness. The purpose of this paper is to accurately predict the prosodic structure, which has become an important problem to be solved in speech synthesis. Experimental data show that the average error of samples in the network training process is lel/85, and the minimum value of the training error after 500 steps is 0.00013127, so the final sample average error is lel = 85 ∗ 0.0013127 = 0.112

We give a decomposition of the equivariant Kasparov category for discrete quantum group with torsions. As an outcome, we show that the crossed product by a discrete quantum group in a certain class preserves the UCT. We then show that quasidiagonality of a reduced C*-algebra of a countable discrete quantum group $\Gamma$ implies that $\Gamma$ is amenable, and deduce from the work of Tikuisis, White and Winter, and the results in the first part of the paper, the converse (i.e. the quantum Rosenberg Conjecture) for a large class of countable discrete unimodular quantum groups. Sea ice disasters are already one of the most serious marine disasters in the Bohai Sea region of our country, which have seriously affected the coastal economic development and residents’ lives. Sea ice classification is an important part of sea ice detection. Hyperspectral imagery and multispectral imagery contain rich spectral information and spatial information and provide important data support for sea ice classification. At present, most sea ice classification methods mainly focus on shallow learning based on spectral features, and the good performance of the deep learning method in remote sensing image classification provides a new idea for sea ice classification. However, the level of deep learning is limited due to the influence of input size in sea ice image classification, and the deep features in the image cannot be fully mined, which affects the further improvement of sea ice classification accuracy. Therefore, this paper proposes an image classification method based on multilevel feature fusion using residual network. First, the PCA method is used to extract the first principal component of the original image, and the residual network is used to deepen the number of network layers. The FPN, PAN, and SPP modules increase the mining between layer and layer features and merge the features between different layers to further improve the accuracy of sea ice classification. In order to verify the effectiveness of the method in this paper, sea ice classification experiments were performed on the hyperspectral image of Bohai Bay in 2008 and the multispectral image of Bohai Bay in 2020. The experimental results show that compared with the algorithm with fewer layers of deep learning network, the method proposed in this paper utilizes the idea of residual network to deepen the number of network layers and carries out multilevel feature fusion through FPN, PAN, and SPP modules, which effectively solves the problem of insufficient deep feature extraction and obtains better classification performance.

This paper is a continuation of a series of papers devoted to the numerical solution of integral equations using local interpolation splines. The main focus is given to the use of splines of the fourth order of approximation. The features of the application of the polynomial and non-polynomial splines of the fourth order of approximation to the solution of Volterra integral equation of the second kind are discussed. In addition to local splines of the Lagrangian type, integro-differential splines are also used to construct computational schemes. The comparison of the solutions obtained by different methods is carried out. The results of the numerical experiments are presented.
