The purpose of this study was to synthesize the literature that has been established on the interrelationship of "knowledge spillovers and entrepreneurial ecosystem" through a systematic literature review. The query strings generated 85 articles, of which 51 were selected for final review. The analysis was performed using MySLR software that uses the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) method, and the effectiveness was measured through the perplexity score and coherence value of the topics. The results reveal that although a plethora of literature is available on these two topics individually, the mutual relationship between these two concepts is understudied. A stronger research interest was observed after 2018 which indicates the infancy of the topic as a whole, which is yet to be explored and empirically tested, specifically in developing economies. Most of the research was focused on the role of universities, innovation, geographic dynamics and policies with respect to entrepreneurial ecosystems. Results reveal the disparity of knowledge spillovers with regard to other contributors; significantly lesser attention was paid to its role in relation to the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Along with critical analysis and synthesis of literature, future directions have also been presented in the paper.

Higher education institutions are essential generators and disseminators of knowledge; however, they must create conditions to lay the foundations supported by knowledge enablers and manage knowledge efficiently. In addition, intellectual capital and innovation are elements that help this process; if everything is correctly articulated, the academic staff and institution will promote better performance. This article analyzes how three knowledge enablers (leadership, culture, and organizational incentives) influence the knowledge management process. In turn, this process encourages the development of better intellectual capital and innovation in the teachers of Higher Education Institutions. A survey applied to 434 academics made it possible to collect information that, through structural equation models of partial least squares, allowed validation of the proposed hypotheses. The study results indicate that organizational culture and leadership significantly influence the knowledge management process. In addition, this process significantly influences intellectual capital and innovation. Finally, the vital link between the variables studied is demonstrated.

Purpose: This study examined the economic and social impact of Malaysian universities on their communities from stakeholders' perspectives. It analysed whether university stakeholders' spending, human capital (HC) and knowledge exploration (KE) will impact aggregate income (AI), quality of life (QOL) and business growth (BG) in surrounding communities. Design/methodology/approach: A survey was conducted among 540 university stakeholders from the southern, northern and eastern regions of Malaysia, representing the alumni, community and industry. Data were subjected to factor analysis using structural equation modelling (SEM). Findings: Results showed that universities impacted communities' economic development and wellbeing, thereby fulfilling their community-related role. Originality/value: This study addressed universities' role in communities' economic growth and social development. Universities' contributions towards communities can be improved through the proposed model, which suggests ways to maximise their impact. A more detailed study of a particular university is needed to identify other factors that can strengthen universities' impact, even at national and global levels.

In the global economy, intellectual capital management is a strategically important resource that affects the market value of organizations. Efficient management of intellectual capital requires the use of new management methods and techniques. One of them is knowledge management, which, in particular, focuses on removing barriers to knowledge sharing. The survey was conducted among employees of the Glogow, Jawor and Trzebnica counties, and the results constitute a pilot study. The conclusions from the collected research results are surprising and imply the need to conduct research on a larger scale in the area of human capital. The collected results provide information to management staff in the field of talent management and knowledge. The results may constitute the basis for developing succession plans, succession plans and employee training. Additionally, the results can help recruiters create profiles of candidates with specific competencies. The main aim of the study was to analyse and evaluate the personnel management process in the Glogow, Jawor and Trzebnica poviats. The use of various research methods made it possible to achieve the intended research goals. The basic research tool used was a survey. Analyses of the literature, research reports, and statistical summaries were treated as a complement to the main research methods. Research and statistical data indicate that among smaller companies in Lower Silesia, there is a need for development programs related to acquiring, collecting, and sharing knowledge. The study identified a number of factors that constitute a significant barrier to the development of employees of the surveyed companies. They allowed us to verify the relationship between the factors that constitute the greatest barrier to the learning process and the impact of the company's size on it. The relationship between the barriers to intellectual development that constitute the greatest threat to the company and the factors that make it difficult for the company to recruit employees with the highest intellectual capital were also verified.

Introduction: Smart talent management means effective or intelligent management of human resources, which includes the knowledge capital of an organization and the ability to produce, maintain, store, transfer and use knowledge in support of the organization to achieve its goals and objectives. The problem of the current research is what are the different dimensions and aspects of smart talent management and how to successfully integrate talent management and knowledge management. Therefore, the purpose of the research was to identify the dimensions and components of Smart talent management in Iranian government organizations. Method: This research is practical in terms of its purpose and is considered as a mixed exploratory research. In the qualitative phase of this research, the theme analysis technique was used, and in the quantitative phase, the confirmatory factor analysis method and Smart PLS software were used. In the qualitative phase, in order to design the research model, a semi-structured interview was conducted with 31 academic and executive experts who were selected purposefully. In the quantitative stage, in order to confirm the validity of the model, 85 human resource managers in Ministry of Communications and Information Technology were consulted. The sampling method was a simple random type and the data collection tool was a questionnaire. Results: Based on findings, three categories of variables including guides, platforms and smart talent management measures were identified. Also, The findings of the quantitative section showed that the research variables are acceptable. Discussion: The results of the research showed that intelligent talent management is a complex and multidimensional phenomenon and has differences in nature from talent management. The most important difference is the dynamic nature of smart talent management (considering the relatively static nature of talent management), which is due to the integration with knowledge management and the use of its capacities. Objective: To establish a thematic proposal for the management of knowledge of small-scale agricultural producers (peasants) and the strengthening of rural economic units in the state of Querétaro, to energize the social fabric and improve the quality of life of the rural population. Design/methodology/approach: A bibliometric study of the scientific production on peasant knowledge in Mexico was carried out, as well as an observational analysis focused on specific and general problems. According to the information obtained and the problems detected, three areas for knowledge management were established: technical-productive, managerial and entrepreneurial. Results: In the technical-productive area, training in good agricultural practices should be addressed, along with technological innovation and the generation of added value. In the management area, issues related with strategic management with a broad entrepreneurial vision that could help create strategies for agribusiness development. Concerning entrepreneurship, the internal and external factors of the environment stand out, which allow awakening their interest, encouraging leadership and direction for business development, in addition to promoting associativity in farming regions. The implementation of the topics proposed in the research will strengthen and boost small-scale agricultural production in the state of Querétaro. Limitations on study/implications: This study can serve as a reference for small-scale agricultural producers (peasant). Higher education involves various kinds of science that develops and produces reliable human resources in the field of science. Higher education performance is primarily determined by the leadership’s ability to manage knowledge-based strategic assets, namely intellectual capital. This research designs all elements that form intellectual capital, such as human capital, structural capital, and relational capital, in one model according to their organizational function. The research aims to optimize the role of intellectual capital as a strategic asset for higher education to improve organizational performance. This is a survey research, where data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to higher education leaders in Surabaya, both State Higher Education (SHE) and Private Higher Education (PHE). The research produced a model for managing intellectual capital, where human capital and structural capital are independent variables for higher education performance. In contrast, relational capital is a mediator for both. In the era of globalization and increasingly fierce competition, companies need to be able to manage and utilize the knowledge possessed by their employees effectively, This type of research is descriptive quantitative. the population is employees with the staff/supervisor level of Korean Multinational Company in Indonesia, totaling 80 employees. While the sample taken in this study were employees with the staff/supervisor level at Multinational companies from South Korea in Indonesia, namely 80 people. The sampling method in this study was nonprobability sampling, with the data collection instrument using a questionnaire. Data analysis in this study used the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach, namely Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). With the results that leadership has no influence on knowledge management, leadership has an influence on organizational performance, organizational culture has an influence on knowledge management, organizational culture has an influence on organizational performance, organizational structure has an influence on knowledge management, organizational structure has an influence on organizational performance, knowledge management has no influence on organizational performance, knowledge management has an influence on human capital, Human Capital is not able to mediate the influence of knowledge management on organizational performance. So it is recommended for companies to be able to provide more training or insight related to the importance of the role of knowledge management, so that employees can truly apply and implement knowledge management in their daily work. Since there is no clarity on how the elements that make up knowledge management are related in the context of the solidarity economy in Latin America, the objective of the article is to analyze the interaction between the dimensions of knowledge management in savings and credit cooperatives from Barranquilla (Colombia). For this, a positivist, explanatory, cross-sectional, non-experimental, and field study was developed in the entire population. As an instrument, a Likert-type ordinal scale questionnaire was used, with five response options and a reliability of 0.95. The principal component analysis (factorial analysis) was used as a statistical tool. The results highlight that human capital presents significant burdens, both in the organizational learning factor and in that of intellectual capital; thus explaining 62.9% of knowledge management in this type of organization. Which suggests a link between both factors mediated by individuals, thus contributing to the transformation of tacit to explicit knowledge. Likewise, it is observed that managers assign greater value to technologies when they are integrated into structural capital in the form of support systems. It is concluded that, in the context of the companies studied, organizational learning constitutes a natural and systematized process that differs from KM, when leaders assume responsibility for action. This study involved 51 Chinese universities from the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Ranking 2021. With based the resource-based view (RBV) as a framework, it aimed to identify the determinants of human resource capital that were related to universities' production of MOOCs. Three determinants were detected--size, lifelong learning, and proximity to the political centre. Both size and proximity to the political centre proved to be significant. The findings provide timely implications for university managers and suggest that the variety of management spaces be expanded to increase the portfolio of high-quality Chinese universities that facilitate the production of MOOCs. In addition, universities should increase their proximity awareness to remedy the disadvantages of uneven resource allocation due to geographical proximity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The purpose of this study is to explore how universities extract the value of knowledge assets to be able to survive and be competitive. This study wants to find the governance of knowledge assets embedded in Indonesian state universities' human capital, structural capital, and relational and innovation capital. In addition, the questionnaire survey results will show the relationship between knowledge assets and university performance. This research will provide an understanding of the measurement of knowledge assets and the performance of higher education institutions. The results of this study indicate that knowledge assets, as measured by human capital, relational capital, and structural capital, positively influence the performance of universities in Indonesia. The aim of the current study is to investigate the influence of human capital dimensions on knowledge hiding behaviour of public sector employees. A simple random sampling technique was used, and data were collected through a survey from 336 individuals working in different companies within the Italian public sector. The results show that, in most cases, the influence of human capital dimensions on knowledge hiding behaviour was significant. Furthermore, these findings contribute to identifying and highlighting how gender also plays a significant role in the way people hide their knowledge. The work is novel in the context of investigating the factors that may influence knowledge hiding behaviour in the public sector and seeks to contribute to the development of knowledge risks strand and, more generally, to the research on knowledge management in public sector organisations. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze and map the terrain of human resource management (HRM) in higher education (HE) contexts, with the aim of uncovering potential gaps within the existing knowledge base. Design/methodology/approach: This study employs a unique, in-depth bibliometric analysis of 945 publications from the Web of Science database over the past 40 years between 1981 and 2022. Findings: Based on the bibliometric analysis, the authors retrospectively examined the dominant research themes in HRM within the HE sphere, tracing their evolution over time. Four central clusters emerged: the theoretical foundations of HRM, strategic HRM, organizational culture and human capital development. Furthermore, the authors pinpointed critical research gaps and proposed areas for future inquiry, such as the impact of HRM on productivity, leadership dynamics, sustainable growth development, international staffing strategies and knowledge transfer mechanisms. Research limitations/implications: This study demonstrates how academics can use bibliometric techniques to systemize literature, expose potential gaps and suggest fruitful lines of inquiry in the field of investigation. The findings of this study can also help improve the decision-making processes of managers and human resource professionals. Originality/value: This study provides readers with a systematic understanding of the development of HRM in HE settings and presents forward-looking perspectives, highlighting future research possibilities. The study explores various concepts such as human capital, social capital, innovation capability, and performance. Human capital, involving skills, knowledge, and abilities, is crucial for organizational performance, and the higher level of education positively associates with better performance. Social capital encompasses networks, relationships, and shared norms that facilitate innovation by fostering an environment conducive to the exchange of ideas and resources. Innovation capability refers to an organization's capacity to adopt and employ technology to develop products, services, or processes that contribute to competitiveness and adaptability. This study formulates hypotheses aiming to establish relationships between human capital, social capital, innovation capability, and organizational performance. The proposed hypotheses suggest the influence of human capital and social capital on innovation capability and performance. A quantitative approach was utilized through explanatory research, investigating specific populations within Telkom Ambon Branch, using Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. The study’s findings present insightful conclusions regarding the relationships between the variables. Human capital positively influences performance and innovation capability, while social capital has a positive effect on innovation capabilities but negatively impacts employee performance. Moreover, innovation capability positively impacts organizational performance. The examination further elucidates the mediation role of innovation capability between human capital, social capital, and employee performance. This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the relationships between human capital, social capital, innovation capability, and performance within an organizational context. Purpose: University–industry (UI) collaboration is essential for knowledge and technology exchange between higher education institutions and industries, enabling enterprises to accelerate innovation. However, few studies have investigated the collaborative innovation mechanism through which UI collaboration can enhance the accumulation of firms' intellectual capital (IC) and how this, in turn, affects their innovation-driven development. Design/methodology/approach: Drawing from the knowledge management and collaborative innovation theory, this research proposes a theoretical framework of the inter-organization relationship between enterprises and universities to investigate the influence mechanism of UI collaboration, including academic engagement and commercialization, on corporate performance as well as the mediating role of IC by employing survey that covers 177 UI collaborations. Findings: Empirical results show that human capital and relational capital fully mediate the relationship between academic engagement UI collaboration and corporate economic performance, while human capital partially mediates the relationship between commercialization UI collaboration and corporate economic performance. Additionally, structural capital and relational capital partially mediate the relationship between academic engagement and corporate innovation performance, while structural capital fully mediates the relationship between commercialization and corporate innovation performance. Originality/value: This study empirically investigates how academic engagement and commercialization impact corporate performance (i.e. innovation dimension or economic dimension). BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVE: In today's volatile business environment, the competitive advantages of firms are temporary. The top management does not, and cannot, have all the answers to increasingly complex and rapidly changing problem situations facing their firms. Since the COVID-19 crisis, organizations have been under pressure to improve their knowledge management practices to continue creating value. Knowledge management capabilities are essential for business performance and competitive advantage. In order to ensure continuous value creation, we conducted research to identify various drivers and dimensions that were revitalized in the ongoing KM practices post-pandemic. METHODOLOGY: In this study, 81 research papers published between January 2010 and March 2022, have been examined from a knowledge management, human capital, and value creation perspective, aiming to understand how a firm can continue to create value before, during, and after the pandemic. RESULTS/CONCLUSION: Our review identifies critical factors in knowledge management and value creation and how companies generate value by leveraging KM during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of the research, the authors describe their findings in the form of a conceptual framework which deals with the various drivers and the factors within the KM architecture. This article discusses challenges encountered in implementing Information Communication Technology tools in water and sanitation services management in South Africa. This qualitative study used a Human Capital Development framework. The study area has had limited consultation on Information Communication Technology tools, low Information Communication Technology usage, and skills gap. Attention is paid to the effective use of Information Communication Technology tools, for example, mobile phones and their application to address the challenges faced. This promotes proper water and sanitation services management by implementing relevant tools to increase the knowledge and skills of service providers. South Africa needs to address and eliminate challenges experienced in implementing Information Communication Technology tools, inequalities, and human-made challenges to ensure availability of services and sustainable water and sanitation services management. In this paper, a theoretical framework for human capital development in Pentecostal Religious Organizations through knowledge sharing is provided. The framework conceptualizes that religious organizations should prioritize launching a knowledge management initiative and appointing a knowledge management team or manager to conduct a knowledge audit and design an appropriate knowledge management plan as explicated. Knowledge management is the process of creating, sharing, using, and managing the knowledge and information of an organization or group. It involves identifying, capturing, organizing, storing, and sharing knowledge and information in a way that allows individuals and teams to access and use it effectively to improve decision-making, problem-solving, and innovation. The knowledge management plan should focus on codifying tacit and explicit knowledge to ensure it can be easily accessed, understood and transferred, and should be connected to the organizational strategy for human capital development in community services by religious organizations. The study has practical implications for religious organizations looking to improve their organizational effectiveness and contribute to the human capital development of its members as well as host communities. Since human capital is the factor that creates and disseminates knowledge and develops and produces technology, it is considered as one of the most important factors affecting growth and development today. On the other hand, universities are one of the most important cornerstones of human capital, knowledge creation and diffusion. In the international and national literature, only citations are used to measure university-based knowledge spillovers and other factors are neglected. To fill this gap in the literature, this study proposes an analogy for the measurement of spillovers created by academic staff, taking into account the literature on knowledge and technology spillovers in the industrial sector. Knowledge spillovers are categorized into explicit and implicit knowledge spillovers under university-to-university and private sector spillovers. Explicit knowledge spillovers from the university to other universities include publications, citations, patents, co-authored works, while tacit knowledge spillovers include conferences, graduate and doctoral students, academic mobility and projects. Purpose: The main purpose of the research presented in the article was to diagnose the intellectual capital management process in small and medium-sized enterprises in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. To achieve this goal, the first part of the article explains the meaning of the term „intellectual capital" based on the scientific literature in the field of management, and then, based on the conducted research, an attempt was made to answer the following questions: which factors determine the process of „intellectual capital management" and what benefits it brings it to companies. Design/methodology/approach: For the research presented in the article, an analysis of the literature in the field of intellectual capital management, knowledge management and competence management was used. Literature studies also concerned secondary sources, which were messages from studies of a similar scope. The use of various research methods allowed to obtain a broader context of the studied phenomenon and ensured a higher quality of research. This differentiation was aimed at obtaining consistency of empirical grounds for inference. The diagnostic survey was adopted as the leading method. Other methods used in the work performed auxiliary (supplementary) functions. Findings: „Intellectual capital management" in the global economy is a resource of strategic importance affecting the market value of the organization itself and providing a competitive advantage. Building a significant intellectual capital of an organization in the VUCA environment requires the use of appropriate methods and tools supporting management, systematic measurement, constant comparison with the competition, elimination of barriers to knowledge sharing. Research limitations/implications: In the future, research will be continued on a larger research sample Practical implications: The article presents the results of research conducted among several dozen small and medium-sized enterprises in Lower Silesia. The research is of a pilot nature, but the research results are very interesting and encourage research on a larger scale. They are a valuable source of information for managers responsible for creating the intellectual capital of the organization in terms of acquiring and sharing knowledge. In turn, for people responsible for recruiting employees, the results may be useful in developing a candidate profile, in particular when identifying key competences of knowledge workers. The results also indicate the demand of the Polish market (especially medium-sized companies) for IT infrastructure that enables the acquisition, processing and collection of information. Originality/value Based on empirical research, the article proposes an original set of system solutions in the field of human capital management to improve the functioning of the organization in the VUCA environment. Knowledge management can help organizations to improve their performance. Many studies show that knowledge management impacts organizational performance. Human capital is considered a mediating role in knowledge management's impact on organizational performance, but it is still blurred, and only a few studies are related to this issue. Moreover, various factors influence knowledge management, such as organizational structure, culture, technology, strategy, trust, and leadership, but maybe other factors have not been identified. This factor can help knowledge management impacts organizational performance. This study was conducted to determine how the human capital role mediates the impact of knowledge management on organizational performance and determine another factor that affects knowledge management, which can impact organizational performance. This study was based on the Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which includes 37 articles published from 2016 to 2021. The study showed that human capital mediates the impact of knowledge management on organizational performance directly and indirectly through innovation. Meanwhile, organizational structure, culture, trust, leadership, human behavior, human resources practices, technology, and strategy are identified as factors that affect knowledge management, whereas human resources practices affect human behavior and leadership. Finally, we proposed a conceptual model that described how knowledge management factors impact human capital and organizational performance. This research can contribute to enriching knowledge management theory and be used to give recommendations for improving the implementation of knowledge management. Further research involves data collection, and empirical analysis needs to be conducted in an organization to examine the conceptual model.
