This research aims to minimize return loss by designing a micro strip-patch antenna using rectangular patches rather than the conventional H-slot patches and novel S-slots. Using a soft's High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) 15.0 tool, we constructed the rectangular micro strip patch antenna with extra S and rectangular slots. It was made on a 2.00 mm thick substrate using Flame Retardant FR4 epoxy resin. The G Power statistical method is used to estimate the sample size with an 80% probability. Ten samples were taken from each group, for a grand total of twenty samples used in the study. There is clear demarcation between the two categories. The end result High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) is the program used to do the simulations. The return loss is a performance metric for antennas. Maximizing profits the return loss of a new S-and rectangular-slot patch antenna is -31.94 dB, whereas that of an H-slot rectangular micro strip patch antenna is -23.27 dB. Results from the SPSS test show that there is a statistically significant difference between the two groups, with a significance level of 0.410 (p > 0.05). Finally, it seems that the return loss is much improved by the new rectangular slots patch antenna in the form of a S. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
