Background: Previous analyses of grey and white matter volumes have reported that schizophrenia is associated with structural changes. Deep learning is a data-driven approach that can capture highly compact hierarchical non-linear relationships among high-dimensional features, and therefore can facilitate the development of clinical tools for making a more accurate and earlier diagnosis of schizophrenia.Aims: To identify consistent grey matter abnormalities in patients with schizophrenia, 662 people with schizophrenia and 613 healthy controls were recruited from eight centres across China, and the data from these independent sites were used to validate deep-learning classifiers.Method: We used a prospective image-based meta-analysis of whole-brain voxel-based morphometry. We also automatically differentiated patients with schizophrenia from healthy controls using combined grey matter, white matter and cerebrospinal fluid volumetric features, incorporated a deep neural network approach on an individual basis, and tested the generalisability of the classification models using independent validation sites.Results: We found that statistically reliable schizophrenia-related grey matter abnormalities primarily occurred in regions that included the superior temporal gyrus extending to the temporal pole, insular cortex, orbital and middle frontal cortices, middle cingulum and thalamus. Evaluated using leave-one-site-out cross-validation, the performance of the classification of schizophrenia achieved by our findings from eight independent research sites were: accuracy, 77.19-85.74%; sensitivity, 75.31-89.29% and area under the receiver operating characteristic curve, 0.797-0.909.Conclusions: These results suggest that, by using deep-learning techniques, multidimensional neuroanatomical changes in schizophrenia are capable of robustly discriminating patients with schizophrenia from healthy controls, findings which could facilitate clinical diagnosis and treatment in schizophrenia. In this article, an adaptive tracking control approach is developed for a class of strict-feedback nonlinear systems with time-varying full state constraints. As a breakthrough in this system, the special function constraints (whose constraint boundary is relevant to both state variables and time) are considered, which are rarely studied by research work. And there is no doubt that this method increases the complexity of designing this scheme. Furthermore, the time-varying integral barrier Lyapunov functions combining with backstepping technique is introduced to break the limitation of traditional methods as well as achieve the full state constraints. Meanwhile, fuzzy logic systems are selected to approximate unknown nonlinear functions. It is verified that all closed-loop signals are bounded and all states are forced in the time-varying boundness. In addition, the proposed control strategy has a good performance. The leader‐following consensus problem of a class of non‐strict feedback multi‐agent systems with unknown disturbances, this paper develops a novel adaptive event‐triggered control strategy ground on the consideration of the full state constraints. Combining the dynamic surface control and event triggering mechanism, the unknown external disturbances are estimated by designing a disturbance observer. In order to deal with unknown functions, this paper employs the neural networks. On purpose of keeping the output variable within a constraint boundary, the barrier Lyapunov function is chosen during the design course. Then, through the backstepping method and the Lyapunov stability theorem, it is proved that all signals in the closed‐loop systems are bounded, and the control performance of the closed‐loop system is ensured by selecting design parameters reasonably. Umbilical cables are essential components of subsea production systems for deep sea oil and gas exploration. Umbilical cables are often set to specific configurations that compensate for the motion of the floating body resulting from harsh environmental loads during operation to ensure structural safety and proper functioning. However, the optimization design of the umbilical cable configuration is a challenging problem owing to highly nonlinear relationship between loads and structural responses as well as the huge computational cost of evaluating numerous sea state combinations. This study proposes a deep learning-driven optimization design framework based on the residual artificial neural network to address the configuration design of lazy-wave umbilical cables. A parallel accelerated computation method based on Adam optimizer was established for the generation of the database. The transfer learning technique was also introduced into the deep learning model to build a configuration design prediction model based on small samples, which significantly reduced the cost of model building and training. Based on the above optimization design framework, a combination of tensile and bending optimization for a lazy-wave umbilical cable configuration was achieved, verifying the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed approach. Realizing accurate measurement for thermal contact conductance (TCC) is difficult and needs many additional measurements. In this paper, we design a three-layer back propagation artificial neural network (ANN) model to retrieve TCC of two contact solid specimens. The model can retrieve TCC only according to the measured temperatures and loading pressures, and the effects of loading pressure, temperature and surface roughness on TCC are considered. Besides, thermal conductivity, heat flux and the parameter of the TCC empirical fitting formula can be obtained simultaneously. The retrieved results are validated by experimental values. The results show that for two contact pairs with different surface roughness, the retrieved parameters of TCC empirical fitting formula are clear reasonable and can be explained conceptually compared with the published studies.
