Rund 2800 Schriftstücke umfasst der Briefwechsel zwischen Paul Hindemith und dem Verlagshaus B. Schott's Söhne in Mainz. Protagonisten sind auf der einen Seite Paul Hindemith und seine Frau Gertrud, die als kompetente Vertraute die Geschäfte mit dem Verlag auch über den Tod ihres Mannes hinaus weiterführt, auf der anderen Seite die Verlagsinhaber Ludwig und Willy Strecker sowie einige ihrer Mitarbeiter. Über einen Zeitraum von 1919 bis 1967 zeichnet der Briefwechsel nicht nur ein lebendiges Bild von Hindemiths Beziehung zu seinen Verlegern, aus der sich über die Jahrzehnte hinweg auch freundschaftliche Bindungen entwickeln, sondern gewährt exklusive Einblicke in die künstlerischen Entwicklungen und politischen Verwerfungen der Moderne – ein außergewöhnliches Dokument der Musikgeschichte des 20. Jahrhunderts.

Over the course of his distinguished career, Nicolai Reshetikhin has made a number of groundbreaking contributions in several fields, including representation theory, integrable systems, and topology. The chapters in this volume – compiled on the occasion of his 60th birthday – are written by distinguished mathematicians and physicists and pay tribute to his many significant and lasting achievements. Covering the latest developments at the interface of noncommutative algebra, differential and algebraic geometry, and perspectives arising from physics, this volume explores topics such as the development of new and powerful knot invariants, new perspectives on enumerative geometry and string theory, and the introduction of cluster algebra and categorification techniques into a broad range of areas. El género criminal ha experimentado un auge sin precedentes en las últimas dos décadas en diversas manifestaciones artísticas: las novelas criminales copan los escaparates de las librerías y las listas de los más vendidos y tanto en las salas de cines como en las plataformas de contenidos en streaming tienen mucha presencia las producciones pertenecientes al género. La academia no ha podido ignorar la calidad y variedad de estas obras y en los últimos años ha aumentado el número de estudios dedicados a ellas. Este libro recoge los trabajos de una docena de investigadores que se centran en diversos aspectos del género criminal, desde Edgar Allan Poe hasta Arnaldur Indriðason, pasando por la novela negra rural, el procedimental en las series de televisión o el relato policiaco de Borges. Este monográfico está dividido en cuatro bloques: novela criminal española, novela criminal hispanoamericana, novela criminal internacional y género negro en las artes escénicas y audiovisuales. A través de estos se presenta la diversidad del género criminal, pues se abordan distintos periodos y diferentes manifestaciones artísticas. El volumen se integra dentro de las acciones de la Cátedra Cultural Antonio Lozano de Género Criminal de la Universidad de La Laguna, recientemente creada, para fomentar la investigación sobre este género. Esta publicación se alinea, por lo tanto, con otras iniciativas que desarrolla la Cátedra, como el Seminario Internacional Tenerife Noir de Investigación en el Género Negro que se celebra anualmente.
