In this paper, the role of antimony (Sb) as a dopant in single-phase bulk Cu2ZnSnSe4 (CZTSe) has been studied. The sb-doped CZTSe bulk material has been synthesized via facile mechanical dry ball milling method. The structural characterization and phase formation were studied through X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy. Particle size and electron diffraction measurements were done using high resolution transmission electron microscopy and selected area electron diffraction. Field emission scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy analyses have been done to infer morphology and composition. Oxidation state of constituent elements in milled powder was studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis. The results of XRD and Raman results are suggestive that the dry milling is a reliable method for the synthesis of single-phase CZTSe. It is also possible to achieve doping with low concentrations of Sb during the milling process to obtain sb-doped bulk single-phase CZTSe. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper demonstrates a low-temperature solvothermal method of nitrogen-rich covalent organic framework (COF) onions. The atomic structure and the bonding features are revealed by high resolution transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and electron energy-loss spectroscopy (EELS). The novel COF onion provides potential applications in photocatalysts considering its suitable bandgap value of 2.56 eV. [Display omitted] Achieving hierarchical nanomaterials from a bottom-up approach remains challenging. Here, we report a closed-cage, onion nanostructure of covalent organic framework (COF) obtained through a low-temperature solvothermal synthesis. Atomic resolution transmission electron microscopy revealed the atomic arrangement in this COF onion, in which rich nitrogen was uniformly embedded in the periodic porous graphitic framework. The COF onion structure displayed graphitic features at a 0.33 nm interlayer spacing with Van der Waals interactions predominated between the layers. The onion layers exhibited significant heterogeneity in layer stacking by adopting a combination of different stacking modes. Defects were also found, such as five- or seven-member rings deviating from the perfect hexagonal lattice. These geometrical defects resulted in curving the 2D layers, which may have promoted the formation of onion nanostructures through a layer-by-layer attachment. We constructed a corresponding model that predicts COF onion properties. This novel onion exhibited a bandgap value of 2.56 eV, resembling other carbon-based nanomaterials, suggesting potential applications in sensors, photocatalysts, and nanoelectronics. The hepatocytes within the liver present an immense capacity to adapt to changes in nutrient availability. Here, by using high resolution volume electron microscopy, we map how hepatic subcellular spatial organization is regulated during nutritional fluctuations and as a function of liver zonation. We identify that fasting leads to remodeling of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) architecture in hepatocytes, characterized by the induction of single rough ER sheet around the mitochondria, which becomes larger and flatter. These alterations are enriched in periportal and mid-lobular hepatocytes but not in pericentral hepatocytes. Gain- and loss-of-function in vivo models demonstrate that the Ribosome receptor binding protein1 (RRBP1) is required to enable fasting-induced ER sheet-mitochondria interactions and to regulate hepatic fatty acid oxidation. Endogenous RRBP1 is enriched around periportal and mid-lobular regions of the liver. In obesity, ER-mitochondria interactions are distinct and fasting fails to induce rough ER sheet-mitochondrion interactions. These findings illustrate the importance of a regulated molecular architecture for hepatocyte metabolic flexibility. Hepatocytes are central for maintaining metabolic homeostasis during nutritional transitions. Here, we show that the structural remodelling of hepatic organelles is part of hepatocytes' metabolic plasticity to adapt to cycles of fasting/feeding and this process is zonated in the liver. Metal nanoparticles on the surface of porous supports have found numerous applications in different areas of science. Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, which proceeds on the surface of cobalt metal nanoparticles, is an efficient way to convert renewables and fossil feedstocks into alternative fuels. The stability of cobalt catalysts is an essential and even crucial parameter and can be significantly improved by promotion. In this paper, a combination of operando Quick-XAS, NAP-XPS, high resolution electron microscopy imaging, DFT modeling alongside with Fischer-Tropsch catalytic experiments has provided deep insights into the evolution of bismuth promoter and structure of cobalt-bismuth nanoparticles in the catalysts supported by carbon nanotubes. We uncovered noticeable migration of metallic bismuth occurring during the reduction step, which leads to bismuth redispersion over the surface of cobalt nanoparticles. Cobalt reduction is facilitated in the presence of bismuth. The working Fischer-Tropsch catalyst contains cobalt-bismuth bimetallic nanoparticles, with bismuth located in the nanoparticle shell. The promotion with bismuth has resulted in a noticeable increase in catalyst stability. Characterization and DFT modeling suggest preferential localization of bismuth mobile promoter at the steps and edges of cobalt nanoparticles, which hinders cobalt sintering and carbon deposition and improves the catalyst stability. This paper deals with adsorption behavior of ruthenium on Tri-n-butyl phosphate functionalized Multi Walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNTs-COO-TBP) from aqueous solution. Adsorption method is significant for trace levels (expected level) removal of ruthenium in bioassay (urine) samples which is mandatory requirement of radiation workers in nuclear environment. Multi Walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNTs) were initially converted to carboxylated Multi Walled Carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs-COOH) and subsequently treated with Tri-n-butyl phosphate to MWCNTs-COO-TBP. The synthesized MWCNTs-COOH and MWCNTs-COO-TBP were confirmed by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). Spectroscopic and microscopic techniques such as X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Raman Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (SEM-EDS) and High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HR-TEM) were used for its characterization before and after adsorption. Various adsorption parameters such as contact time, pH, metal ion concentration and temperature were studied. Langmuir adsorption isotherm model and Pseudo second order kinetics model were found to be best fitted in terms of standard deviation and regression coefficient. Thermodynamics parameters such as enthalpy (ΔH°), entropy (ΔS°), Gibbs energy (ΔG°), activation energy (E a) and sticking probability (SP*) were calculated. The adsorption capacity was calculated and found to be 141.23 mg.g−1.Moreover, quantification of defects, strains with charge doping states were calculated from Raman mapping and correlation plot. Sn3O4 are promising semiconductor materials due to their visible light absorption ability. In this work, a series of materials, such as SnO2, Sn3O4 and Sn3O4/SnO2 heterostructures, with different phase ratios were prepared using hydrothermal synthesis. The materials were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman and diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), nitrogen adsorption (BET). Flat-band potentials (EFB) of the samples were determined using the photocurrent onset potential (POP) method. It was shown that the potentials obtained with open circuit potential measurements versus illumination intensity (OCP) likely corresponded to the EFB of SnO2 nanoparticles in heterostructures due to interfacial electron transfer from the conducting band of Sn3O4 to that of SnO2. The photo-electrooxidation processes of a series of organic substrates were studied in the potential range of 0.6–1.4 V vs. RHE under irradiation with ultraviolet (λ = 370 nm) and visible (λ = 450 nm) light. The Sn3O4 sample showed high activity in the photo-electrooxidation of acetone and formic acid in visible light. The Sn3O4/SnO2 samples exhibited noticeable activity only in the oxidation of formic acid. The presence of the SnO2 phase in the Sn3O4/SnO2 samples increased the photocurrent values under ultraviolet illumination, but significantly reduced the oxidation efficiency in visible light. For every three people on the planet, there are approximately two Tonnes (Te) of plastic waste. We show that carbon recovery from polystyrene (PS) plastic is enhanced by the coaddition of solvents to grow carbon nanotubes (CNTs) by liquid injection chemical vapour deposition. Polystyrene was loaded up to 4 wt% in toluene and heated to 780 °C in the presence of a ferrocene catalyst and a hydrogen/argon carrier gas at a 1:19 ratio. High resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and Raman spectroscopy were used to identify multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). The PS addition in the range from 0 to 4 wt% showed improved quality and CNT homogeneity; Raman "Graphitic/Defective" (G/D) values increased from 1.9 to 2.3; mean CNT diameters increased from 43.0 to 49.2 nm; and maximum CNT yield increased from 11.37% to 14.31%. Since both the CNT diameters and the percentage yield increased following the addition of polystyrene, we conclude that carbon from PS contributes to the carbon within the MWCNTs. The electrical contact resistance of acid-washed Bucky papers produced from each loading ranged from 2.2 to 4.4 Ohm, with no direct correlation to PS loading. Due to this narrow range, materials with different loadings were mixed to create the six wires of an Ethernet cable and tested using iPerf3; the cable achieved up- and down- link speeds of ~99.5 Mbps, i.e., comparable to Cu wire with the same dimensions (~99.5 Mbps). The lifecycle assessment (LCA) of CNT wire production was compared to copper wire production for a use case in a Boeing 747-400 over the lifespan of the aircraft. The paper summarizes new information on the formation and functioning of Ni(acac)2-based multicomponent (Ziegler) systems for oligo- and polymerization of ethylene. It turns out that catalytically active sites formed in these systems are deposited on nickel-containing nanoparticles generated via the interaction of the starting components directly in the reaction system. It is shown that the activity, productivity, and composition of the target products depend on the water content in the initial solvent, all other things being equal. A model of nanosized nickel-containing particles formed during the interaction of Ni(acac)2 and diethylaluminum chloride or ethylaluminum sesquichloride is presented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aluminium doped zinc oxide (AZO) nanomaterials (AlxZn1-xO) with x fraction varying as 0.02 and 0.04 were synthesized using the auto-combustion method using glycine as a fuel. The synthesized catalysts were characterized with X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV–Visible Spectroscopy (UV–Vis), Raman spectroscopy, Photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy, and High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HR-TEM). XRD results showed that synthesized materials possessed good crystallinity, while UV–VIS was employed to find the band gaps of synthesized materials. Raman was used to determine the vibrational modes in the synthesized nanoparticles, while TEM analysis was performed to study the morphology of the samples. Industrial effluents such as indigo carmine and azo carmine G were used to test the photodegradation ability of synthesised catalysts. Parameters such as the effect of catalyst loading, dye concentration and pH were studied. The reduction in crystallite size, band gap and increased lattice strain for the 4% AZO was the primary reason for the degradation in visible irradiation, degrading 97 and 99% equimolar concentrations of indigo carmine and azo carmine G in 140 min. The Al doped ZnO was found to be effective in faster degradation of dyes as compared to pure ZnO in presence of natural sunlight. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The missing-linker defects of UiO-66 were exploited to covalently anchor Cu nanoclusters (Cu/UiO-66). The molecular interactions between the metals and oxides as copper-zirconia interfaces in Cu/UiO-66 are essential for heterogeneous catalysis, leading to remarkable synergistic impacts on activity and selectivity. Homogeneously distributed carbonaceous mixed metal oxides (CuO/ZrO2@C) nanocomposite was prepared via carbonization of the Cu/UiO-66 at 600 °C for 3 h in air. To enhance the acidity properties of the CuO/ZrO2@C nanocomposite, a small amount of sulfuric acid was added and heated at 150 °C under an N2 atmosphere (CuO/ZrO2-SO3H@C). The synthesised Cu/UiO-66 and CuO/ZrO2-SO3H@C catalysts were used as novel catalysts in the reduction of 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) to 4-aminophenol (4-AP). The Cu/UiO-66 and CuO/ZrO2-SO3H@C catalysts displayed complete conversion of the 4-NP solution during (4 and 2 min) stirring at room temperature, respectively. These two catalysts exhibited a high reduction rate of 8.61 × 10–3 s−1, and 18.3 × 10–3 s−1, respectively. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic (XPS) analysis showed the charge of copper atoms in the Cu/UiO-66 catalyst was Cu0/CuII and in the CuO/ZrO2-SO3H@C catalyst was CuI/CuII with nearly the same ratio (65/35). The particle size and the elemental composition of the CuO/ZrO2-SO3H@C catalyst were analysed by using high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and elemental mapping, respectively. The key point beyond the high catalytic activity and selectivity of the CuO/ZrO2-SO3H@C catalyst is both the carbon–metal oxides heterojunction structure that leads to good dispersion of the CuO and ZrO2 over the carbon sheets, and the high acidity properties that come from the combination between the Brønsted acid sites from sulfuric acid and Lewis acid sites from the UiO-66. The purpose of this study was to assess the ability of an aqueous leaf extract of Luisia tenuifolia to synthesize silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and their antimicrobial and Aedes aegypti larvicidal activity. The presence of visible color changes ranging from pale yellow to dark brownish confirmed the presence of AgNPs in the reaction mixture. A sharp absorbance peak at 420 nm was found using a UV–visible spectrophotometer, confirming the presence of AgNPs. X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) analyses were used to investigate the crystalline structure and active functional groups involved in the reduction of AgNPs. The synthesized AgNPs were examined using High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HR-TEM), and it was discovered that the AgNPs were spherical in shape, with sizes ranging from 10 to 30 nm and a diameter of 0.241 nm. The crystalline structure of silver particles (face-centered cubic (fcc)) was confirmed by Selected Area Electron Diffraction (SAED) pattern analysis, which revealed concentric rings and blinking dots. At the highest concentrations (150 µg mL−1), the synthesized AgNPs have significant antimicrobial potential against some common bacterial pathogens such as Salmonella paratyphi (31 mm), Staphylococcus aureus (28 mm), Escherichia coli (20 mm), and Bacillus subtilis (23 mm), as well as phytopathogenic fungi such as Colletotrichum falcatum (12 mm), Fusarium sp. (12 mm), Aspergillus oryzae (10 mm), and Trichoderma sp. (10 mm) at the highest concentration (150 µg mL−1) of AgNPs. Fortunately, the synthesized AgNPs also have significant larvicidal potential against 1st and 2nd instar larvae of Ae. aegypti. In this research work, carbon dots (CDs) were synthesized from the renewable leaves of an indigenous medicinal plant by the one-pot sand bath method, Azadirachta indica. The synthesized CDs were characterized for its optical properties using UV–Vis, Fluorescence and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrophotometry and for structural properties using dynamic light scattering (DLS), X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and high resolution Transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM). The synthesized CDs exhibited concentration dependent biocompatibility when tested in mouse fibroblast L929 cell line. The EC50 values of biomedical studies, free radical scavenging activity (13.87 μgmL−1), and total antioxidant capacity (38 μgmL−1) proved CDs were exceptionally good. These CDs showed an appreciable zone of inhibition when examined on four bacterial (two gram-positive and gram-negative) and two fungal strains at minimum concentrations. Cellular internalisation studies performed on human breast cancer cells (MCF 7- bioimaging) revealed the applicability of CDs in bioimaging, wherein the inherent fluorescence of CDs were utilised. Tin material corrosion has been recognized as an important problem for electronic products. Biomimetics strategies have been adopted to develop intriguing materials to combat corrosion. In this paper, by anodic oxidation, mussel inspired dopamine hydrochloride modification and thiol grafting, lotus leaf inspired superhydrophobic surface (SHS) based on porous SnO 2 coating is prepared on tin. Further, a stable liquid infused surface (LIS) enlightened by Nepenthes plant is formed by infusing dimethyl silicone oil into SHS. The wettability, microstructure and chemical composition of tin surface with different modification are characterized by contact angle, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and so forth. The porous SnO 2 structure endows superhydrophobicity with a contact angle up to 155.9°. The corrosion resistance of SHS and LIS coating is revealed by scanning Kelvin probe (SKP), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and potentiodynamic polarization (PDP) curves. Corrosion data show that the prepared LIS exhibits better corrosion resistance than SHS. After being soaked in a representative 3.5 wt% NaCl solution for 180 h, the corrosion inhibition efficiency of LIS maintains 99.6%, which is much better than that of SHS. In addition, when being fold or bent to induce cracks, the LIS shows slight change in corrosion inhibition efficiency, indicating the high tolerance to mechanical torsion. Moreover, in response to externally imposed mechanical scratching, LIS demonstrates good self-healing capability, illustrating the high potential for practical usage. The growth of nanocrystals (NCs) from metal oxide-based substrates with exposed high-energy facets is of particular importance for many important applications, such as solar cells as photoanodes due to the high reactivity of these facets. The hydrothermal method remains a current trend for the synthesis of metal oxide nanostructures in general and titanium dioxide (TiO2) in particular since the calcination of the resulting powder after the completion of the hydrothermal method no longer requires a high temperature. This work aims to use a rapid hydrothermal method to synthesize numerous TiO2-NCs, namely, TiO2 nanosheets (TiO2-NSs), TiO2 nanorods (TiO2-NRs), and nanoparticles (TiO2-NPs). In these ideas, a simple non-aqueous one-pot solvothermal method was employed to prepare TiO2-NSs using tetrabutyl titanate Ti(OBu)4 as a precursor and hydrofluoric acid (HF) as a morphology control agent. Ti(OBu)4 alone was subjected to alcoholysis in ethanol, yielding only pure nanoparticles (TiO2-NPs). Subsequently, in this work, the hazardous chemical HF was replaced by sodium fluoride (NaF) as a means of controlling morphology to produce TiO2-NRs. The latter method was required for the growth of high purity brookite TiO2 NRs structure, the most difficult TiO2 polymorph to synthesize. The fabricated components are then morphologically evaluated using equipment, such as transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), electron diffraction (SAED), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). In the results, the TEM image of the developed NCs shows the presence of TiO2-NSs with an average side length of about 20–30 nm and a thickness of 5–7 nm. In addition, the image TEM shows TiO2-NRs with diameters between 10 and 20 nm and lengths between 80 and 100 nm, together with crystals of smaller size. The phase of the crystals is good, confirmed by XRD. The anatase structure, typical of TiO2-NS and TiO2-NPs, and the high-purity brookite-TiO2-NRs structure, were evident in the produced nanocrystals, according to XRD. SAED patterns confirm that the synthesis of high quality single crystalline TiO2-NSs and TiO2-NRs with the exposed {001} facets are the exposed facets, which have the upper and lower dominant facets, high reactivity, high surface energy, and high surface area. TiO2-NSs and TiO2-NRs could be grown, corresponding to about 80% and 85% of the {001} outer surface area in the nanocrystal, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, W-33.3 at% Zr super-saturated solid solution powder was prepared by mechanical alloying, and its formation mechanism and thermal stability were systematically studied. After 30 h of milling, 33.3 at% of Zr was completely dissolved in W, and a super-saturated solid solution with BCC structure was formed. When the milling duration was increased to 50 h, the single BCC phase was transformed into a dual-phase mixture with a super-saturated solid solution and an amorphous phase. Thermodynamic calculations based on Miedema theoretical model suggested that the W-33.3 at% Zr binary system tended to form solid solution first and then transform into amorphous. Furthermore, high resolution transmission electron microscopy observation revealed that grain refinement, lattice distortion and dislocation may play an important role in the process of solid solution expansion and amorphization. Finally, thermal stability tests suggested that the prepared super-saturated solid solution powder has shown good stability at 800 ℃ for 2 h, which provides more possibilities for the application of W-Zr metastable alloy powders. This paper investigates the impact of metallic lubricant additives on the morphology, nanostructure, graphitization degree, and oxidation reactivity of diesel exhaust particles. The experiments were conducted on a turbocharged heavy-duty diesel engine. Four typical lubricant oil additives, including Ca-based, Zn-based, Mo-based and ashless additives, were mixed into diesel at 0.5% and 1.0% by mass. Analytical characterization equipment used in this study includes a high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), a Raman spectroscopy, and a Thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA). Results showed that the lubricant additives significantly changed the soot properties. Diesel fuels blended with ashless and Zn-based additives led to a more disordered nanostructure of diesel particles, thereby improving their oxidation reactivity. When Ca and Mo additives participated in combustion, the oxidation mass loss curve of soot particles shifted to a higher temperature range due to the combined effect of the physical and chemical characteristics of soot particles and the catalytic oxidation of metallic ash. Although Ca, Mo, and other metals in lubricant additives could promote the soot oxidation, the changes in the physicochemical properties of soot particles (including increased fringe length, reduced fringe tortuosity, and higher graphitization degree) rendered it more difficult to oxidize. Membrane distillation (MD) is an emerging technology for water recovery from hypersaline wastewater. Membrane scaling and wetting are the drawbacks that prevent the widespread implementation of the MD process. In this study, coaxially electrospun polyvinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene (PVDF-co-HFP) nanofibrous membranes were fabricated with re-entrant architecture and enhanced hydrophobicity/omniphobicity. The multiscale roughness was constructed by incorporating Al2O3 nanoparticles and 1H, 1H, 2H, 2H Perfluorodecyltriethoxysilane in the sheath solution. High resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM) could confirm the formation of the core-sheath nanofibrous membranes, which exhibited a water contact angle of ~142.5° and enhanced surface roughness. The membrane displayed a stable vapor flux of 12 L.m−2.h−1 (LMH) for a 7.0 wt.% NaCl feed solution and no loss in permeate quality or quantity. Long-term water recovery from 10.5 wt.% NaCl feed solution was determined to be 8–10 LMH with >99.9% NaCl rejection for up to 5 cycles of operation (60 h). The membranes exhibited excellent resistance to wetting even above the critical micelle concentration (CMC) for surfactants in the order sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) (16 mM) > cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) (1.5 mM) > Tween 80 (0.10 mM). The presence of salts further deteriorated membrane performance for SDS (12 mM) and Tween-80 (0.05 mM). The adsorption-enhancing TiO2-SBA-15 photocatalyst has been synthesized by an in situ etching displacement method, which possesses unique regular hexagonal pores and large specific surface area. The as-prepared TiO2-SBA-15 can effectively adsorb and increase the concentration of pollutants in the photocatalyst and collision likelihood with the photogenerated radicals, thus improving the efficiency of photocatalytic organic degradation. The structure and morphology have been characterized by N2 adsorption isotherms, X-ray diffraction (XRD), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). These characterizations confirm that TiF4 alcohol solution prefers to react with the internal surface of SBA-15 because of the Siphon effect. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra demonstrate that a Ti-O-Si bond formed after the reaction of TiF4 with SBA-15, which reveals a wonderful combination of TiO2 and SiO2 even at low temperatures. Reoviridae virus family members, such as mammalian orthoreovirus (reovirus), encounter a unique challenge during replication. To hide the dsRNA from host recognition, the genome remains encapsidated in transcriptionally active proteinaceous core capsids that transcribe and release +RNA. De novo +RNAs and core proteins must repeatedly assemble into new progeny cores in order to logarithmically amplify replication. Reoviruses also produce outercapsid (OC) proteins μ1, σ3 and σ1 that assemble onto cores to create highly stable infectious full virions. Current models of reovirus replication position amplification of transcriptionally-active cores and assembly of infectious virions in shared factories, but we hypothesized that since assembly of OC proteins would halt core amplification, OC assembly is somehow regulated. Using kinetic analysis of virus +RNA, core and OC proteins, core assembly and whole virus assembly, assembly of OC proteins was found to be temporally delayed. All viral RNAs and proteins were made simultaneously, eliminating the possibility that delayed OC RNAs or proteins account for delayed OC assembly. High resolution fluorescence and electron microscopy revealed that core amplification occurred early during infection at peripheral core-only factories, while all OC proteins associated with lipid droplets (LDs) that coalesced near the nucleus in a μ1–dependent manner. Core-only factories transitioned towards the nucleus despite cycloheximide-mediated halting of new protein expression, while new core-only factories developed in the periphery. As infection progressed, OC assembly occurred at LD-and nuclear-proximal factories. Silencing of OC μ1 expression with siRNAs led to large factories that remained further from the nucleus, implicating μ1 in the transition to perinuclear factories. Moreover, late during infection, +RNA pools largely contributed to the production of de-novo viral proteins and fully-assembled infectious viruses. Altogether the results suggest an advanced model of reovirus replication with spatiotemporal segregation of core amplification, OC complexes and fully assembled virions. Strangely, inner and outer coat proteins are all made by the virus at once, so it was unknown what determines whether newly made viruses will contain just the inner coat to continue to replicate, or both coats to transmit to new hosts. Our experiments reveal that the inner coat proteins are located in a different area of an infected cell versus the outer coat proteins. The location therefore determines if the newly made viruses contain just the inner coat versus both coats. The efficient use of renewable energy sources requires development of new electrocatalytic materials for electrochemical energy storage systems, particularly fuel cells. To increase durability of high temperature polymer electrolyte fuel cell (HT-PEMFC), Pt/carbon black based catalysts should be replaced by more durable ones, for example Pt/carbon nanofibers (CNF). Here, we report for the first time the quantitative ascorbic acid assisted deposition of Pt onto electrospun polyacrylonitrile-based CNF composite materials. The effect of their subsequent post-treatment at various temperatures (250 and 500 °C) and media (vacuum or argon-hydrogen mixture) on the Pt/C catalyst morphology is investigated. In this study, we synthesized polyacrylic acid (PAA)-Ca (Eu) nanoclusters as a luminescence sensor of phosphate ion by a complex method, and we aimed to achieve the quantitative detection of PO43− based on the sensitivity of the charge transfer band of Eu3+ to anionic ligand. The resulting PAA-Ca(Eu) nanoclusters showed a well-dispersed and a dot-like morphology, with an ultra-small diameter (the average size of 2.17 nm) under high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM) observation. A dynamic light scattering particle size analyzer (DLS) showed a hydrodynamic size of 2.39 nm. The (PAA)-Ca (Eu) nanoclusters as a luminescence sensor showed a significantly higher sensitivity for PO43− than other anions (CO32−, SiO32−, SO42−, SO32−, Br−, Cl−, F−). The luminescence intensity displayed a linear increase (y = 19.32x + 74.75, R2 > 0.999) in a PO43 concentration range (0–10 mM) with the concentration of PO43− increase, and the limit of detection was 0.023 mM. The results showed good recovery rates and low relative standard deviations. These (PAA)-Ca (Eu) nanoclusters are hopeful to become a luminescence sensor for quantitatively detecting PO43−. Herein, we investigated the effect of the support modification (Sibunit carbon) with diazonium salts of Pd and Pd-Au catalysts on furfural hydrogenation under 5 bars of H2 and 50 °C. To this end, the surface of Sibunit (Cp) was modified with butyl (Cp-Butyl), carboxyl (Cp-COOH) and amino groups (Cp-NH2) using corresponding diazonium salts. The catalysts were synthesized by the sol immobilization method. The catalysts as well as the corresponding supports were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, N2 adsorption-desorption, inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy, high resolution transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, Hammet indicator method and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The analysis of the results allowed us to determine the crucial influence of surface chemistry on the catalytic behavior of the studied catalysts, especially regarding selectivity. At the same time, the structural, textural, electronic and acid–base properties of the catalysts were practically unaffected. Thus, it can be assumed that the modification of Sibunit with various functional groups leads to changes in the hydrophobic/hydrophilic and/or electrostatic properties of the surface, which influenced the selectivity of the process. The article presents the assessment of solutions and dried residues precipitated from solutions after the bioleaching process of Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) utilizing the Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans. The obtained dried residues precipitated from bioleaching solution (leachate) and control solution were tested using morphology, phase, and chemical composition analysis, with particular emphasis on the assessment of crystalline and amorphous components. The analysis of the dried residues from leachate after bioleaching as well as those from the sterile control solution demonstrated a difference in the component oxidation—the leachate consisted of mainly amorphous spherical particles in diameter up to 200 nm, forming lacy aggregates. In the specimenform control solution larger particles (up to 500 nm) were observed with a hollow in the middle and crystalline outer part (probably Fe2O3, CuFeS2, and Cu2O). The X-ray diffraction phase analysis revealed that specimen obtained from leachate after bioleaching consisted mainly of an amorphous component and some content of Fe2O3 crystalline phase, while the dried residue from control solution showed more crystalline components. The share of the crystalline and amorphous components can be related to efficiency in dissolving metals during bioleaching. Obtained results of the investigation confirm the activity and participation of the A. ferrooxidans bacteria in the solubilization process of electro-waste components, with their visible degradation–acceleration of the reaction owing to a continuous regeneration of the leaching medium. The performed investigations allowed to characterize the specimen from leachate and showed that the application of complementary cross-check of the micro (SEM and S/TEM) and macro (ICP-OES and XRD) methods are of immense use for complete guidance assessment and obtained valuable data for the next stages of PCBs recycling. This work describes the synthesis of Ag decorated CoO nanocomposites (NCs) supported on chitosan (CS-Ag/CoO NCs) for simple, low cost and rapid colorimetric detection of L -cysteine, and for the photocatalytic reduction of hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) ion. The NCs was characterized thoroughly by using UV–vis spectrophotometer, fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD), energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDAX), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The NCs displayed high specificity, sensitivity and selectivity towards the L -cysteine detection and quantification from aqueous samples. The limit of detection of the prepared probe was 4.67 nM. The particle size of CS-Ag/CoO NCs was found to be 8.52 ± 0.13 nm. The CS-Ag/CoO NCs interaction with L -cysteine, interestingly causes the aggregation of NCs with increase in particle size to 956 ± 0.23 nm. The color change was observed from yellow to color less. An excellent linear correlation exists between the absorbance vs logarithmic concentration of L -cysteine (10 nM- 1 mM). Here, 250 mg/L of NCs reduced 100 mg/L of Cr(VI) to Cr(III) within 180 min. The kinetic data suggested that the NCs exhibited greater photocatalytic reduction efficiency than CoO and Ag/CoO. The paper-based test strips were developed and applied for the rapid colorimetric assay for the onsite monitoring of L -cysteine from real samples. The study demonstrated a specific detection of L -cysteine irrespective of the source of samples using CS-Ag/CoO NCs. Hence, the prepared NCs can be used as a colorimetric probe and provides a practical application for photocatalytic reduction of Cr(VI). The NCs also exhibitted excellent antimicrobial activity. Flexural behavior of red deer's (Cervus Elaphus) antler is managed by not only orientation of osteons but also age, number density of fully fledged Cross-Linking Fibers (CLFs) and mineralization. Although crack propagation is affected by all these factors, a possible role of CLFs during the deformation remains rather disguised. The aim of this study was to enlighten the effect of dimensions, micro skeleton and mineral content of CLFs on plastic deformation. Therefore, mechanical properties, microarchitecture and mineralization of fracture sites of deer antlers were investigated using three-point bending tests in 32 specimens followed by high resolution scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS). The bending tests show that maximum bending strength is in the range of 150–177 MPa, and elastic modulus approximates to 5–6 GPa. Furthermore, fracture toughness of the test specimens examined for all branching groups of antlers was 8–9 MPa · m 1 / 2 . Age and the number of branching albeit are main reasons for differentiating microarchitecture and varying mechanical properties. SEM analyses show that a hierarchical architecture from bottom to up exists, in which some feathers and nano-sized fibrils are attached to larger fibrils that brings CLFs altogether. Antlers of adolescent deers are supposed to have shorter and thinner cross-linking fibers than elder ones. Some feathered micro-fibrils were identified across the CLFs connecting osteons. The thickness (270.0–320.0 nm) and length (700 nm) of feathers were strictly proportional to the microfibrils' size (10.0 µm in length and 1.0 µm in thickness). Furthermore, weight percentages of minerals varies along the CLFs that taking root on osteons by a bundle of many smaller fibrils whereas Pb, Cd and Hg have the highest values at the tip of broken CLFs. In the present work, we report the biosynthesis of Nickel oxide (NiO) nanoparticles using Senna auriculata aqueous flower extract and their evaluated to the photocatalyst and antimicrobial activities. The synthesized nanoparticles were analysed using UV–Visible (UV–Vis), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), Photoluminescence (PL), High resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), Dynamic light scattering (DLS), Zeta potential (ZE) and Surface area analysis. The XRD shows the obtained peaks are indexed to the crystalline planes (111), (200), (220), (311) and (222) confirmed that the NiO nanoparticles possessed a good crystalline nature. UV–Vis confirmed that NiO nanoparticles had a direct bandgap at 3.25 eV. DLS analysis and ZE values validated the stability of NiO nanoparticles (53 nm and − 24 mV). HR-TEM analysis revealed that the synthesized NiO nanoparticles had a spherical structure with uniform distribution along the surface. The FT-IR analyses show that the surface of synthesized nanoparticles acts as a reducing and stabilising agent for proteins, carboxyl and hydroxyl groups. The antibacterial activities of biosynthesized NiO nanoparticles are greater against Gram-negative (Escherichia coli) than the Gram-positive microorganism. The catalyst activity of synthesized nanoparticles regarding methylene blue (MB) dye degradation under direct visible light irradiation was studied. The degradation effectiveness against MB dye was found to be 97% for 90 min. Overall, these studies show that Senna auriculata is an effective sell being planted and has the highest probability of being used in the design and development of nanoparticles for environmental pollution and human health. The present report presents a green method for the rapid biogenic synthesis of nanoparticles that offers several advantages over the current chemical and physical procedures. It is easy and fast, eco-friendly, and does not involve any precious elements, hazardous chemicals, or harmful solvents. The synthesized ZnO nanoparticles were characterized using different techniques, such as UV-Visible spectroscopy. The surface plasmon resonance confirmed the formation of ZnO nanoparticles at 344 nm, using UV-Visible spectroscopy. The leaf extract acts as a source of phytochemicals and is primarily used for the reduction and then the formation of stable ZnO nanoparticles by the characteristic functional groups of the extract; the synthesized ZnO nanoparticles were identified using FTIR spectroscopy. The crystalline nature of ZnO-NPs was confirmed via powder X-ray diffraction (XRD). Size and morphology were measured via high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM) analysis. The stability of the nanoparticles is established using dynamic light scattering (DLS) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The synthesized ZnO nanoparticles have been found to be a good and efficient catalyst for the synthesis of novel 1,2-dihydro quinazoline derivatives under the green method via a one-pot reaction of 2-amino benzophenone, 1,3-diphenyl-1H-pyrazole carbaldehydes, and ammonium acetate. The synthesized compounds (4a–o) were characterized by the 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and HRMS spectra and were further validated for free-radical scavenging activity. Multiferroic (x)BaTiO3/(1 − x)Li0.5Fe2.5O4 (0.0 ≤ x ≤ 1) perovskite/spinel nanocomposite was synthesized using a modified citrate auto-combustion method. Both BaTiO3 (BTO) and Li0.5Fe2.5O4 (LFO) phases along with their composites were successfully characterized using X-ray diffraction, Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy, and X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy. The nanoscale, morphology, and magnetic properties were imaged and acquired using high resolution transmission electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and vibrating sample magnetometer. Synchrotron radiation-based elemental selective XAFS technique was performed around Fe K-edge to obtain the selective and the detailed local structural information of Li0.5Fe2.5O4 nanoparticles (NPs). The main remarkable result in this work is the enhancement in the coercivity (HC) of LFO NPs after compositing with BTO particularly at x = 0.6, and at x = 0.8. Based on the collected results, BTO/LFO nanocomposite can be seen as a good candidate for different technological applications including magnetically modulated piezoelectric, safety rechargeable batteries, and multilayer ceramic capacitor. Green synthesis of metal oxide nanoparticles (NPs) is a viable alternative methodology because of cost-effective and availability of environmentally friendly templates for desired application, which has attracted the attention of researchers in recent years. In the present study, Co3O4 NPs were synthesized in various volume ratios in the presence of Solanum tuberosum leaf extract as a template. The synthesized Co3O4 NPs were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDX), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), surface area electron diffraction (SAED), UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-DRS), and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. XRD analysis found that the average crystalline sizes for the 1 : 2, 1 : 1, and 2 : 1 volume ratios was 25.83, 21.05, and 27.98 nm, respectively. SEM-EDX and TEM analyses suggest that the green-synthesized Co3O4 NPs are spherical in shape without the presence of impurities. The band gap E g values of the 1 : 2, 1 : 1, and 2 : 1 volume ratios of Co3O4 NPs were found to be 1.83, 1.77, and 2.19 eV, respectively. FTIR analysis confirmed the presence of various bioactive ingredients within the leaf extract of Solanum tuberosum. Co3O4 NPs-modified electrodes showed better sensing capability towards ascorbic acid and citric acid due to enhanced electron transfer kinetics. Among three volume ratios (1 : 2, 1 : 1, and 2 : 1) of Co3O4 nanoelectrodes, 1 : 1 and 2 : 1 were identified as the best performing nanoelectrodes. This is possibly due to the high catalytic behavior and the more homogenized surface structure. Water pollution caused by various natural and artificial sources such as expansion of industrialization, rapid increment in population size, the threat of climate change, and development in urbanization takes a serious attention. Due to this fact, various protocols and techniques were adopted for the treatment of such polluted water. In the present findings, TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) and TiO2/rGO nanocomposites (NCs) were synthesized using titanium tetra butoxide in the presence of Citrus sinensis (CS) and Musa acuminata (MA) peel waste extract as a capping, reducing, and stabilizing agent. The synthesized NPs and NCs were characterized using thermogravimetric-differential thermal analysis (TGA/DTA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), selected area electron diffraction (SAED) pattern, ultraviolet diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-DRS), and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The synthesized NPs and NCs were investigated as green alternative photocatalyst for the degradation of methylene blue (MB) dye under visible light irradiation. Thermal analysis results confirmed that the green synthesized TiO2 NPs were found to be too stable above 550°C. XRD analysis result showed that the average crystalline size of CS and MA mediated synthesized TiO2 NPs with various volume ratios was in the range of 7.3–27.3 nm and 13.4–22.4 nm, respectively. The average crystalline size of CS and MA peel extract template synthesized TiO2/rGO NCs was found to be in the range of 7.5–15.3 and 11.2–12.5 nm, respectively. The band gap energy was calculated to be in the range of 3.17–3.29 eV and 3.10–3.38 eV for the CS and MA mediated synthesized TiO2 NPs, respectively. E g of CS and MA peel extract template formed TiO2/rGO NCs was found to be in the range of 2.85–3.11 eV and 3.07–3.11 eV, respectively. SEM analysis proved that the various synthesized TiO2 NPs and TiO2/rGO NCs were spherical in shape and the absence of any other foreign materials confirmed the purity of the corresponding nanocatalysts. In addition, TEM, HRTEM, and SAED analysis confirmed that the structures of the synthesized nanocatalysts were spherical in shape and the catalysts were too crystalline and the result was found to fit with the XRD result. Among the synthesized various volume ratios of TiO2 nanocatalysts, high percentage of degradation (62% and 58.2%) was achieved using TiO2-2c and TiO2-2 m, respectively. A β-Co(OH)2/ZnO heterostructural composite was successfully prepared via a simple one-pot hydrothermal method. The β-Co(OH)2/ZnO heterostructural composite was utilized as the photocatalyst in the photocatalytic degradation of aqueous methylene blue (MB) solution under visible light irradiation. The calcined β-Co(OH)2/ZnO heterostructural composite was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) coupled with energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES), Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) analysis, UV–Vis diffused reflectance spectroscopy (UV–Vis DRS), and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. In the absence of β-Co(OH)2, ZnO particles formed as nanoplatelets but in the composite, they formed as nanorods, and in response to increased Co2+ ion concentration, as flower-like structures. The particle shape of β-Co(OH)2 did not alter. The optical band gap energy of ZnO powder prepared without β-Co(OH)2 was 3.220 eV, and Urbach energy was 0.0712 eV. In 10 mol%β-Co(OH)2/ZnO composite, the optical band gap energy decreased to 2.775 eV and Urbach energy increased to 0.542 eV. Herein, zero-valent silver (Ag0) and polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) was ultrasonically incorporated into the surface matrix of MWCNTs to produce a multifunctional MWCNTs-Ag0/PVAc nanocomposite. The MWCNTs, MWCNTs-Ag0 and MWCNTs-Ag0/PVAc were characterized for the thermal stability, crystallographic structure and morphology using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and high resolution scanning electron microscopy (HRSEM). Industrial wastewater containing Hg(II) and Cr(VI) ions were treated using the fabricated MWCNTs-Ag0/PVAc at different adsorption parameters such as pH, adsorbent mass, adsorption time and temperature. The characterization result obtained indicated successful incorporation of the Ag0 and PVAc to the surface matrix of MWCNTs-Ag0/PVAc. The materials were thermally stable and the crystalline peaks/patterns of the incorporated materials were evident on the MWCNTs-Ag0/PVAc. The adsorption study revealed maximum adsorption capacity of 249 mg/g and 237 mg/g for the Hg(II) and Cr(VI) by MWCNTs-Ag0/PVAc at the pH (6 for Hg(II) and 3 for Cr(VI)), adsorbent mass (40 mg), adsorption time (60 min) and temperature (30 °C). The experimental data effectively fitted the Langmuir isotherm and pseudo-second order kinetic, respectively. As a widely used water-soluble azo dye, methyl blue has aroused widespread concern for its environmental problems. In this paper, magnetic nickel-magnesium ferrites were deemed as a promising dye adsorbent, and they could be synthesized through a rapid combustion process. The properties of the nanoparticles were acquired by the scanning electron microscope (SEM), the energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), the X-ray diffraction (XRD), the vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), the high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), the N 2 adsorption-desorption isotherms, and the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The structure analysis demonstrated that the average particle size of magnetic nickel-magnesium ferrites was 59.2 nm, the saturation magnetization was 34.1 A·m2/kg and the specific surface area was 94.69 m2/g. After investigating the ratio of nickel to magnesium and the key parameters affecting the properties of ferrites, the adsorption of methyl blue onto the nanoparticles was discussed. Adsorption kinetics and isotherm models were employed to fit the relevant data, and the adsorption capacity of nanoparticles on methyl blue reached 306.4 mg/g when the initial concentration of methyl blue was 900 mg/L. The effect of pH value on the adsorption was explored, and seven cycles of the sample were recorded. Subsequently, the cyclic voltammetry (CV) and the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) curves of the nanoparticles before and after adsorption were measured. To sum up, nickel-magnesium ferrites had the advantages of low cost, magnetic separation, facile preparation, high adsorption efficiency, and reusability, which suggested it had a broad application prospect in the field of dye removal. Green nanotechnology stands amongst the leading giants of innovation for the twenty first century technological advances. More interesting, is the use of natural products as reducing agents. These could be recyclable materials from fruits and vegetables to produce nanoparticles (NPs) with novel properties. In the current study, silver NPs (AgNPs) were synthesized using the water extracts from the peel and flesh of two Pyrus communis L. cultivars, namely, the Forelle (Red) Pears (RPE) and Packham Triumph (Green) Pears (GPE). The AgNPs were characterized by UV-Vis spectrophotometry, Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HRTEM) and Fourier Transform Infra-Red Spectroscopy (FTIR). The antibacterial activities of the AgNPs were evaluated using agar well diffusion and microdilution assays. The cytotoxicity of the AgNPs was investigated on a rat macrophage (RAW 264.7) cells using MTT assay. Both the RPE and GPE were capable of synthesizing the AgNPs at high temperatures (70 and 100 °C). The AgNPs exhibited antibacterial activity against the test strains, and also had low toxicity towards the RAW 264.7 cells. In antiferromagnetic spintronics, the read-out of the staggered magnetization or Néel vector is the key obstacle to harnessing the ultra-fast dynamics and stability of antiferromagnets for novel devices. Here, we demonstrate strong exchange coupling of Mn2Au, a unique metallic antiferromagnet that exhibits Néel spin-orbit torques, with thin ferromagnetic Permalloy layers. This allows us to benefit from the well-established read-out methods of ferromagnets, while the essential advantages of antiferromagnetic spintronics are only slightly diminished. We show one-to-one imprinting of the antiferromagnetic on the ferromagnetic domain pattern. Conversely, alignment of the Permalloy magnetization reorients the Mn2Au Néel vector, an effect, which can be restricted to large magnetic fields by tuning the ferromagnetic layer thickness. To understand the origin of the strong coupling, we carry out high resolution electron microscopy imaging and we find that our growth yields an interface with a well-defined morphology that leads to the strong exchange coupling. Antiferromagnets offer faster operation speed and immunity to stray fields, however, readout of the Neel vector is difficult. A standalone 100 kV field emission gun (FEG) has been developed that can be installed and operated on a standard transmission electron microscopy electron optical column or custom designed high voltage electron optical columns. The FEG comprises a thermally assisted field emission cathode and an asymmetric electrostatic lens that can operate from 20 to 100 kV in an ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) chamber. In its current configuration, the FEG has spherical and chromatic aberration coefficients (Cs and Cc, respectively) in the range of Cs = 607–670 mm and Cc = 60–87 mm at 100 keV over a range of working distances of 50–206 mm from the exit plane of the FEG unit. A dedicated high voltage supply unit with voltage ripples of less than 1 ppm at 100 kV has also been developed. The FEG is transported under UHV and does not require the use of SF6 gas during operation, as is customary in high voltage FEG TEMs. Preliminary results of operating the FEG on a Philips Tecnai 12 and a JEOL JEM-1400HR TEM show the resolution of gold (111) crystal planes at 0.235 nm and (200) planes at 0.202 nm. Some of ultrafine-grained (UFG) metals including UFG twinning induced plasticity (TWIP) steels have been found to overcome the paradox of strength and ductility in metals benefiting from their unique deformation modes. Here, this study provides insights into the atomistic process of deformation twin nucleation at Σ3{111} twin boundaries, the dominant type of grain boundary in this UFG high manganese TWIP steel. In response to the applied tensile stresses, grain boundary sliding takes place which changes the structure of coherent Σ3{111} twin boundary from atomistically smooth to partly defective. High resolution transmission electron microscopy demonstrates that the formation of disconnection on Σ3{111} twin boundaries is associated with the motion of Shockley partial dislocations on the boundaries. The twin boundary disconnections act as preferential nucleation sites for deformation twin that is a characteristic difference from the coarse-grained counterpart, and is likely correlated with the lethargy of grain interior dislocation activities, frequently seen in UFG metals. The deformation twin nucleation behavior will be discussed based on in-situ TEM deformation experiments and nanoscale strain distribution analyses results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
