Abstract

Researchers at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust conducted a randomized controlled trial (RCT) to evaluate the eRAPID eHealth intervention for capturing patient-reported symptoms online during cancer treatment. The study involved 508 participants starting systemic cancer treatment and found that eRAPID had a positive impact on patients' symptoms, quality of life, and self-efficacy, particularly early in treatment and for patients with early-stage disease. Patient feedback indicated that eRAPID was easy to use and provided practical advice and personal monitoring, while clinicians had mixed levels of direct experience with using the intervention.
