Objective: The Slash (multiple-job holders) become increasingly prevalent in the labor force under the context of fast-developing gig economy and other emerging employment forms active on platforms. However, health outcomes of multiple-job holding have not received sufficient research treatment and is far from reaching consensus. This study provides an empirical investigation on the influence of multiple-job holding on individual health., Method: This study uses data from China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS-2015 survey) which covers 28 provinces/municipalities in China and tracks work and health status of the population aged over 45 years using stratified random sampling (N = 12,659-16,526 for examinations of different types of health status (i.e., chronic conditions/body aches/depression, in study 1), and from the Survey of Household Economics and Decision-making (SHED-2019) which is conducted by the Federal Reserve Board of the United States and documents economic behavior and related risks of the population aged over 18 years (N = 6603 for baseline model and N = 10,718 for supplementary test, in study 2). To address the potential endogeneity of multiple-job holding, the instrumental variable (IV) regressions are conducted to ensure the validity of results. The implementation of Study 1 and 2 in different national context could help test the generalization of research results., Results: Compared with non-multiple jobs holding, multiple-job holding with only one additional job is associated with better health status (i.e., less chronic conditions and body aches, a lower level of depression shown in study 1, and better self-assessed general health shown in study 2), however, multiple-job holding with at least two additional jobs turns to be associated with worse health status (shown in both study 1 and 2). These results show that the optimal level of multiple-job holding could be featured with one additional job besides the primary job., Conclusion: Multiple-job holding, with different structures, has both bright and dark side for health outcomes. A Gram-positive, aerobic, non-motile, irregular short rod, nonspore-forming actinobacterial strain, designated GX14115 T , was isolated from fish intestine in Beihai City, Guangxi, China and subjected to a taxonomic polyphasic investigation. Colonies were yellow‒green, circular, smooth, central bulge, convex, opaque and 2.0-3.0 mm in diameter after growth on 2216E medium at 30 °C for 72 h. Growth occurred at 4-45 °C (optimum 30 °C), at pH 4.5-10.0 (optimum pH 7.5) and in the presence of 0-12% NaCl (w/v) (optimum 3.5%). Chemotaxonomic analysis showed that the main menaquinone of strain GX14115 T was MK-7. The major cellular fatty acids were anteiso-C 15:0 (44.8%), anteiso-C 17:0 (20.5%), and iso-C 15:0 (16%). The whole-cell sugars were galactose and xylose. The peptidoglycan type was L-Lys-Gly-D-Asp, and the polar lipids were phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), diphosphatidylglycerol (DPG), one unknown phospholipid (UP), and one unknown glycolipid (UG). The DNA G + C content of the type of strain was 69.5 mol%. The 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis revealed that strain GX14115 T is affiliated with the genus Nesterenkonia and is closely related to Nesterenkonia sandarakina YIM 70009 T (96.5%) and Nesterenkonia lutea YIM 70081 T (96.8%). The calculated results indicated that the average nucleotide identity (ANI) values of GX14115 T were 74.49-74.78%, to the two aforementioned type strains, and the digital DNA-DNA hybridization (dDDH) values were 20.1-20.7%. Strain GX14115 T was proposed as a novel species of the genus Nesterenkonia by the physiological, chemotaxonomic, and phylogenetic data, for whose the name is Nesterenkonia marinintestina sp. nov. Purpose: This study is a large-scale screening supported by government departments to investigate the prevalence of scoliosis in Shijiazhuang., Methods: In this cross-sectional study, all students underwent body posture evaluation and the Adam's forward flexure test to examine the back, and also underwent radiographic evaluation when scoliosis was suspected., Results: In total, 181,935 students participated in the research, of which 289 students were diagnosed with scoliosis, with a prevalence of 2.5%, significantly higher in female (3.01%) than in male children (1.63%) (P < 0.001). Most of the patients (79.5%) had a Cobb angle from 10° to 19°.The mean Cobb angle of scoliosis was positively associated with age. The prevalence of a single curve (75.4%) was significantly higher than double curves (23.2%) and triple curves (1.38%). The percentage of scoliosis in which the thoracolumbar segment was involved (46.4%) was significantly higher than that of the single thoracic scoliosis (31.8%) and single lumbar scoliosis (21.8%)., Conclusions: The prevalence of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis in XXX was high (2.50%). The COVID-19 has been a worldwide pandemic and it needs for studies related to effect on people's demand for insurance during the pandemic which is an important way to transfer risk. However, there is a lack of research linking COVID-19 and people's demand for insurance. The objective of this paper is to investigate the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on issuance demand, using data covering 241 cities on confirmed COVID-19 cases and insurance company revenue in China. The empirical results show that more confirmed COVID-19 cases are associated with greater per capita insurance revenue and the results are robust when considering endogeneity concern. Economically, the per capita insurance revenue increases by 0.896 Yuan for each more confirmed case. In terms of insurance type, the greatest increased insurance revenue is for life insurance, followed by health insurance. We further consider the heterogeneity of regions and find that the impact of COVID-19 on insurance revenue only exists in regions with worse medical treatment conditions or higher medical burden., (© 2021. This paper analyzes the epidemiological and economic effects of quarantines. We use a basic epidemiological model, a SEIR-model, that is calibrated to roughly resemble the COVID-19 pandemic, and we assume that individuals that become infected or are isolated on average lose a share of their productivity. An early quarantine postpones but does not alter the course of the pandemic at a cost that increases in the duration and the extent of the quarantine. For quarantines at later stages of the pandemic there is a trade-off between lowering the peak level of infectious people on the one hand and minimizing fatalities and economic losses on the other hand. A longer quarantine dampens the peak level of infectious people and also reduces the total number of infected persons but increases economic losses. Both the peak level of infectious individuals and the total share of the population that will have been infected are U-shaped in relation to the share of the population in quarantine, while economic costs increase in this share. In particular, a quarantine covering a moderate share of the population leads to a lower peak, fewer deaths and lower economic costs, but it implies that the peak of the pandemic occurs earlier., (© 2021. Therapeutical monoclonal antibodies are structurally and functionally complex, whereas the innovator's manufacturing processes are proprietary. With respect to the similarity assessment, a proposed biosimilar product needs to demonstrate a side-by-side comparison between the reference product (RP) and candidate product in terms of physicochemical properties and biological activities, as well as nonclinical and clinical outcomes. Here, a comprehensive analytical similarity assessment was performed for in-depth comparison of HLX04, China-sourced Avastin ® (CN-Avastin ® ), and Europe-sourced Avastin ® (EU-Avastin ® ) following a tier-based quality attribute (QA) evaluation. A series of orthogonal and state-of-the-art analytical techniques were developed for the assessment. Ten lots of HLX04 were compared with 29 lots bevacizumab RP. Referred to the characterization results, HLX04 is highly similar to the RPs with respect to physicochemical properties and biological functions. In addition, HLX04 was found with similar stability and degradation behaviors upon multiple stressed conditions to bevacizumab. Minor differences were observed in glycosylation, aggregates, FcγRIIIa(F), and FcγRIIIa(V) binding activities; nevertheless, they were evaluated and demonstrated not to impact clinical outcomes. Carbamate nerve agents (CMNAs) are a type of lethal cholinesterase inhibitor with one or more quaternary amine centres and aromatic rings. CMNAs have been recently added to the Annex on Chemicals of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) and Schedules of Controlled Chemicals of China. In this study, a rapid, sensitive and selective method was developed for the fluorescence detection of ambenonium chloride (AC) through host-guest and electrostatic dual interactions between AC and cyclodextrin/11-mercaptoundecanoic acid (CD/MUA) dually functionalized gold nanoclusters (AuNCs). Through this method, AC was detected with a limit of detection of 10.0 ng/mL. Method evaluation showed high selectivity towards AC over other related compounds. The practical applicability was verified, as satisfactory recoveries were obtained for AC spiked in river water and urine, as well as Proficiency Test samples from Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). In addition, a fluorescence sensing array comprising four AuNCs was designed to distinguish six carbamates and structurally similar compounds. Through high-throughput sequencing, a novel citlodavirus, tentatively named "Myrica rubra citlodavirus 1" (MRV1, accession no. OP374189), was isolated from the leaves of Myrica rubra in Yunnan exhibiting narrow deformity of leaf tips, shrinkage, and chlorosis along the veins. The complete genome sequence was determined and analyzed using cloning and Sanger sequencing. MRV1 is a single-stranded circular non-enveloped DNA virus with a genome size of 3775 nucleotides and contains six open reading frames (ORFs). The virion-sense genome strand encodes a coat protein (CP, nt 750-1,493, 247 aa), two hypothetical movement proteins (V3, nt 382-666, 94 aa; and V2, nt 461-895, 144 aa), and one movement protein (MP, nt 1,527-2,438, 303 aa). The complementary strand of the genome encodes two replication proteins (RepA, nt 3,712-2,834, 292 aa; Rep, nt 2,867-2,553, 104 aa). The MRV1 genome contains the stem-loop motif 5'-TAATATTAC-3', which is a highly conserved nonanucleotide motif found in the origin of virion-strand replication in geminiviruses. Genome sequence alignment analysis showed that citrus chlorotic dwarf associated virus (CCDaV, accession no. JQ920490) shared the highest nucleotide sequence similarity (66.10% identity) with MRV1. Phylogenetic analysis showed that CCDaV is the closest known relative of MRV1, and that these viruses clustered in a single branch within a clade consisting of citlodaviruses. Hydraulic fracturing technologies have been frequently utilized in the oil and gas industry as exploration and development efforts have progressed, resulting in a significant increase in the extraction of natural gas and petroleum from low-permeability reservoirs. However, hydraulic fracturing requires a large amount of freshwater, and the process results in the production of large volumes of flowback water along with natural gas. In this study, three tight sandstone gas wells were fractured in the Sulige gasfield (China), and a total of 103 flowback fluid samples were collected. The hydrochemical characteristics, water quality and sources of hydrochemical components in the flowback fluid were discussed. The results show that the flowback fluid is characterized by high salinity (Total dissolved solids (TDS) up to 38,268 mg/L, Cl - up to 24,000 mg/L), high concentrations of metal ions (e.g., Fe, Sr 2+ , Ba 2+ ) and high chemical oxygen demand (COD). The flowback fluid is a complex mixture of fracturing fluid and formation water, and its composition is impacted by water-rock interactions that occur during hydraulic fracturing. The major contaminants include COD, Fe, Ba 2+ , Cl - , Mn and pH, which constitute a high risk of environmental pollution. Meanwhile, chemical elements such as K, Ba and Sr are unusually enriched in the flowback fluid, which has an excellent potential for recycle of chemical elements. The Sulige gasfield's flowback fluid recovery methods and treatment scenarios were discussed, taking into consideration the pollution and resource characteristics of the flowback fluid. Options for dealing with the flowback fluid include deep well reinjection, reuse for making up fracturing fluid, recycling of chemical elements and diverse reuse of flowback water. Lingyan Temple is an important part of the World Heritage Mixed Property on Mount Taishan, in which numerous cultural heritage monuments, including exquisite painted arhat statues and inscriptions, display the ancient Chinese Buddhist culture. However, these monuments are suffering aesthetic and structural damage due to rich biofilms. In this study, the microbial communities colonized on historical monuments in different microenvironments were characterized through a combination of culture-dependent techniques and high-throughput sequencing. Microbial diversity was significantly different among the historical sites with different microenvironments. For example, Actinobacteria and Ascomycota were the core phyla in the indoor samples, while they were less abundant in the outdoor samples, and phototrophic microorganisms including Cyanobacteria and green algae were only dominant in the samples near springs. The results suggested that environmental factors such as water and airborne microorganisms may be the main causes influencing microbial distribution. Most of the identified dominant species were common on the historical monuments and could contribute to biodeterioration. A bacterial strain, Gram-positive, aerobic, rod-shaped, motile, designated YIM B00624 T which was isolated from a Hamazui hot spring in Tengchong, Yunnan province, south-west China. The strain grew well on International Streptomyces Project (ISP) 2 medium and colonies were creamy yellow, flat and circular. The results of 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity analysis showed that strain YIM B00624 T was closely related to the type strain of Paenibacillus filicis S4 T (95.9%). The main menaquinone of strain YIM B00624 T was menaquinone-7 (MK-7) and major fatty acids were anteiso-C 15:0 , anteiso-C 17:0 and C 16:0 . The isolate contained meso-diaminopimelic acid as the diagnostic diamino acid and the major polar lipids were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylmonomethylethanolamine and four unidentified glycolipids. The DNA G+C content of strain YIM B00624 T was 53.4 mol%. Based on physiological, phenotypic and chemotaxonomic data, strain YIM B00624 T belongs to a novel species of the genus Paenibacillus, for which the name Paenibacillus hamazuiensis sp. nov. is proposed. Studies about sentence reading have shown that visual and lexical information beyond the currently fixated word can be integrated across fixations. The gaze-contingent boundary paradigm has been used widely to explore the extent to which parafoveal information can be processed before a word is fixated on. However, a critical review of the current literature suggests that unrelated mask previews are an unlikely baseline control with zero lexical activation, blurring the nature of experimental effects observed in the paradigm. The present study, therefore, aimed at shedding light on the effect of parafoveal mask properties through a manipulation of preview word frequency. Low-frequency preview words that are unrelated to target words elicited a larger interference than high-frequency preview words. Objective: This retrospective study aimed to comprehensively delineate the epidemiological and 3-dimensional radiographic characteristics of non-third molar (non-M3) impacted teeth in a Chinese dental population., Material and Methods: Patients with impacted teeth except for the third molar (ITEM3) were retrospectively screened via cone-beam CT images from 75,021 patients treated at our institution from June 2012 to December 2018. Demographic and clinical data of patients with ITEM3 were retrieved from medical records. CBCT coupled with 3-dimensional reconstruction was employed to characterize the radiographic features of ITEM3. Associations between these epidemiological, clinical, and radiographic features were further statistically analyzed., Results: Among 1975 eligible patients, 2467 ITEM3s were identified with a prevalence of 2.63% (1975/75,021). Females slightly outnumbered males with a ratio of 1.12:1. The majority of ITEM3 was single (1577, 79.85%) in the maxilla. The maxillary canine teeth were the most frequently impacted (52.45%), followed by maxillary incisors. The mesioangular position was the most common orientation (43.8%), followed by vertical and buccal-lingual orientations. The most frequently associated lesion was external root resorption of the adjacent tooth, which was significantly correlated with the morphology and position of the impacted tooth., Conclusion: Most ITEM3 was single, mesioangular, found at maxillary canines, sometimes associated with diverse complications. Purpose: Artificial intelligence (AI) has entered the field of medicine, and ophthalmology is no exception. The objective of this study was to report on scientific production and publication trends, to identify journals, countries, international collaborations, and major MeSH terms involved in AI in ophthalmology research., Methods: Scientometric methods were used to evaluate global scientific production and development trends in AI in ophthalmology using PubMed and the Web of Science Core Collection., Results: A total of 1356 articles were retrieved over the period 1966-2019. The yearly growth of AI in ophthalmology publications has been 18.89% over the last ten years, indicating that AI in ophthalmology is a very attractive topic in science. Analysis of the most productive journals showed that most were specialized in computer and medical systems. No journal was found to specialize in AI in ophthalmology. The USA, China, and the UK were the three most productive countries. The study of international collaboration showed that, besides the USA, researchers tended to collaborate with peers from neighboring countries. Among the twenty most frequent MeSH terms retrieved, there were only four related to clinical topics, revealing the retina and glaucoma as the most frequently encountered subjects of interest in AI in ophthalmology. Analysis of the top ten Journal Citation Reports categories of journals and MeSH terms for articles confirmed that AI in ophthalmology research is mainly focused on engineering and computing and is mainly technical research related to computer methods., Conclusions: This study provides a broad view of the current status and trends in AI in ophthalmology research and shows that AI in ophthalmology research is an attractive topic focusing on retinal diseases and glaucoma. This study may be useful for researchers in AI in ophthalmology such as clinicians, but also for scientists to better understand this research topic, know the main actors in this field (including journals and countries), and have a general overview of this research theme., (© 2021. Purpose: The study aimed to estimate the health damage and find out the main exposure pathways of housewives posed by polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and heavy metals (HMs) from coal combustion in rural areas of China., Methods: We obtained the concentrations of 16 PAHs and 8 HMs from published literatures and the Monte Carlo simulation was used to process and analysis the data. Sensitivity analysis was also applied to clear parameter uncertainty and the health damage of housewives was quantitatively evaluated by loss of life expectancy., Results: Housewives' carcinogenic risks from PAHs exposure were in descending order of inhalation > ingestion > dermal contact, while exposed to HMs were ingestion > dermal contact > inhalation. The carcinogenic risks from PAHs primarily originated from benzo[a]pyrene (BaP), dibenz[ah]anthracene (DahA) and benzo[b]fluorathene (BbF). For HMs, arsenic posed the highest carcinogenic risk to housewives, with a contribution of 92.98%. In addition, the life expectancy loss of housewives exposed to PAHs was 469.04 min from inhalation and 51.82 min for HMs from ingestion., Conclusion: Through a comprehensive assessment of the health risks in housewives exposed to emissions from coal combustion, we can gain insight into the hazards from PAHs and HMs in housewives, and take measures to reduce their exposure risks., (© 2021. Objective: Air pollutants play a crucial role in human health and disease. Emergency ambulance dispatch data have excellent potential for public and environmental health research. This study aimed at investigating the impact of short-term exposure to air pollutants on the emergency ambulance dispatches., Methods: We used data on emergency ambulance dispatches in Shanghai Municipality, China, from April 1, 2016 to December 31, 2017. The association of the daily emergency ambulance dispatches with air pollutants including PM 2.5 (particles ≤ 2.5 μm in aerodynamic diameter), PM 10 , O 3 , NO 2 and SO 2 was analyzed with the use of time-series analyses., Results: A total of 310,825 emergency ambulance dispatches for acute illness occurred in Shanghai during the study period. An increase in PM 2.5 by 10 μg/m 3 at lag1 and lag2 was shown to increase the risk of emergency ambulance dispatches (RR for lag1 = 1.05, 95% CI 1.00-1.11, RR for lag2 = 1.07, 95% CI 1.01-1.12). PM 10 , NO 2 , and SO 2 also showed significant associations with emergency ambulance dispatches in single-pollutant models. Cause-specific analyses showed an elevation in PM 2.5 by 10 μg/m 3 was associated with an increased risk of emergency ambulance dispatches related to respiratory diseases on the current day (lag0, RR 1.17, 95% CI 1.01-1.33), while the impact on emergency ambulance dispatches related to other diseases presented 1-3 days later. The other pollutants have the similar trend., Conclusions: Our findings show a strong relationship between ambient air pollutants and emergency ambulance dispatches. Rotaviruses are important causative agents of acute gastroenteritis in children. In China, rotavirus infection has a prevalence rate of 30% and is therefore considered a serious public health problem. This study was carried out to investigate the clinical and molecular epidemiological characteristics of rotavirus infections in children under 5 years old with acute diarrhea in Shandong province, China. From July 2017 to June 2018, a total of 1211 fecal specimens were tested, and the prevalence of rotavirus infection was 32.12%. The mean age of the infected children was 12.2 ± 10.9 months, and the highest infection rate was observed in children aged 7-12 months, with a rate of 41.64%. G9P[8] (76.61%) was the most prevalent genotype combination, followed by G2P[4] (7.20%), G3P[8] (3.60%), and G9P[4] (2.06%). In addition to diarrhea, vomiting, fever, and dehydration were the most common clinical signs. In general, there was no significant difference in clinical manifestations among different age groups. However, the clinical manifestations differed significantly between vaccinated and unvaccinated children. Vaccinated children showed lower incidence and frequency of vomiting, lower incidence and degree of dehydration, and lower incidence of severe cases than unvaccinated children. These findings suggest that it is necessary to continuously monitor changes in the characteristics of rotavirus infections. Swallowing disorders can adversely affect quality of life (QOL). To develop the Chinese version of the Swallowing Quality of Life Questionnaire (ChSWAL-QOL) and evaluate its reliability and validity, the ChSWAL-QOL was generated by forward translation of the original SWAL-QOL, backward translation, cultural adaptation, and revision using the Delphi method. The ChSWAL-QOL was administered to 376 patients with dysphagia treated at Peking Union Medical College Hospital between November 1, 2017 and December 31, 2018. Reliability was evaluated using Cronbach's α and test-retest reliability. Content validity was assessed using the content validity index (CVI). Structural validity was evaluated by exploratory factor and confirmatory factor analyses. The 44-item, 11-dimension of ChSWAL-QOL was considered semantically relevant, clearly expressed and easy to understand in a preliminary study. The final analysis included 360 of 376 questionnaires (95.7%). Cronbach's α was 0.906 for the whole scale and ranged from 0.815 to 1.000 for the individual dimensions, and the test-retest reliability was 0.847, indicating that the ChSWAL-QOL had excellent internal consistency. CVI was 0.964 overall and ranged from 0.870 to 1.000 for the individual dimensions. Exploratory factor analysis identified a dysphagia-related component (psychological burden, feeding duration, swallowing symptoms, eating desire, communication, feeding fear, mental health, and social function) and a generic component (fatigue and sleep) explaining 52.8% and 10.8% of the variance, respectively. Objective: To determine the prevalence of dysphagia among an older population and patients with stroke, head and neck cancers (HNCs) or neurodegenerative diseases (NDDs) in China, to identify the factors associated with this condition, and to explore the relationship between dysphagia and nutritional status., Methods: This study included participants 65 years and older living in the community or in nursing homes and patients who had sustained a stroke, HNC, or NDD also recruited in hospitals from 14 provinces of China. The presence of dysphagia was determined by use of a questionnaire, water swallowing test, and/or a videofluoroscopic swallowing study. Logistic regression analysis was used to assess the possible associated risk factors. Body mass index was assessed as an indicator of malnutrition., Results: A total of 5943 persons met the inclusion criteria and 2341 (39.4%) were identified with dysphagia, including the following: 51.14% of patients with stroke, 34.4% in HNCs, 48.3% in NDDs, and 19.2% of otherwise healthy older adults. The elderly with comorbidity (OR = 2.90, p < 0.01) and stroke patients (OR = 2.27, p < 0.01) were significantly more likely to exhibit signs of dysphagia. Dysphagic participants were at significantly greater risk of malnutrition (OR = 1.91, p < 0.01) compared to those without dysphagia., Conclusion: Dysphagia is prevalent in China among older individuals and people who have suffered a stroke, HNCs, or NDDs. The prevalence of dysphagia increases steadily with increasing age and presence of comorbid disease. People with dysphagia are more likely to suffer from malnutrition.

Background/objective: Cervical cancer is the major cause of cancer-related mortalities in women globally. It constitutes one of the life-threatening conditions for women in developing countries. The popularization of cervical cancer screening and the improvement of treatment levels has caused the mortality rate of cervical cancer to decrease gradually, but pelvic floor dysfunction before and after cervical cancer treatment has become prominent and attracted more and more attention. Bibliometric analysis has been carried out in this research. The main goal of this research is to provide a comprehensive insight into the knowledge structure and global research hotspots about pelvic floor dysfunction in cervical cancer., Methods: Literature related to cervical cancer and pelvic floor dysfunction as of May 2023 was searched on the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC). The visualization and bibliometric analyses of the number and contents of publications were performed to analyze the temporal trends, spatial distribution, collaborative networks, influential references, keyword co-occurrence, and clustering., Results: There were 870 publications from 74 countries or regions, with the U.S. publications in a leading position. Since 2020, the number of publications has rapidly increased with the emphasis on the quality of life of cervical cancer patients. Although pelvic floor dysfunction in cervical cancer mainly occurs in developing countries, developed countries have made great contributions to this disease. However, in developing countries such as China and India, the quality of publications needs to be improved. In this field, the studies focused on the sexual dysfunction or urinary incontinence of cervical cancer patients, and the most cited papers discussed the effect of cervical cancer treatment on the sexual activities of females. The frontier keywords were represented by pelvic radiotherapy and risk factors., Conclusion: This study provides an objective and comprehensive analysis of the literature available on pelvic floor dysfunction in cervical cancer and identifies future trends and current hotspots. Purpose: Tuberculosis is one of the oldest diseases in human history, and spinal tuberculosis (STB) is the most common form of extrapulmonary tuberculosis. A large number of research has been conducted in this field. However, there has been no bibliometric analysis performed in recent years in STB. The aim of this study was to analyze trends and hotspots in research on STB., Methods: Publications regarding STB between 1980 and 2022 were extracted from the Web of Science database. CiteSpace (V5.7.R2) and VOSviewer (1.6.10) were used to perform global analyses of the number of publications, countries, institutions, authors, journals, keywords, and cited references., Results: A total of 1262 articles were published between 1980 and 2022. We observed rapid growth in the number of publications since 2010. Spine had the highest number of publications (47, 3.7%). Zhang HQ and Wang XY were key researchers. The Central South University published the most papers (90, 7.1%). China was the leading contributor in this field with 459 publications and 29 H-index. National partnerships are dominated by the USA, and there is a lack of active cooperation between other countries and authors., Conclusion: research on STB has achieved great progress, with an increasing number of publications since 2010. Surgical treatment and debridement are current research hots pots, and diagnosis, drug resistance, and kyphosis are likely research frontiers. Fritillaria taipaiensis P. Y. Li is one of the biological sources for Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus. Its bulbs are widely used for treating respiratory diseases such as pneumonia, bronchitis and influenza. Cultivated F. taipaiensis suffers from many diseases during its growing season. Leaf spot is a destructive disease that is increasingly affecting F. taipaiensis and can cause an incidence of up to 30% in severe cases. Leaf spot inhibits the growth of F. taipaiensis by causing disease spots on the surface of leaves. In severe cases, these spots can result in leaf desiccation and blackspot formation at the lesion site, leading to a decrease in photosynthesis. Leaf spot has shown little benefit, and it can even result in a reduced yield of bulbs and the death of plants. According to previous studies, Alternaria alternata has been identified as the pathogen of leaf spot in many medicinal plants, but the main pathogens of the leaf spot of F. taipeiensis remains uncertain. In this paper, five isolates from diseased leaves of F. taipaiensis were isolated and purified and the pathogenicity test showed that isolates B-5 and B-7 induced leaf spot symptoms on healthy F. taipaiensis leaves. Integrating multiple phylogenetic analyses of rDNA using Internal transcribed spacer region (ITS), Beta-tubulin (TUB2), RNA polymerase II second largest subunit (RPB2) and Translation elongation factor 1-alpha (TEF1-a) primers, strain B-5 and strain B-7 were eventually identified as Didymella segeticola and A. alternata. Arsenic is a toxic metal-like element. The toxic reaction of the body to arsenic is related to the ability of arsenic methylation metabolism. As the rate-limiting enzyme of arsenic methylation metabolism, the genetic single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of arsenic (+ 3 oxidation state) methyltransferase (AS3MT) gene are related to capacity of arsenic methylation. In this paper, we investigated the association of five SNPs (rs7085104, rs3740390, 3740393, rs10748835, and rs1046778) in AS3MT with arsenic methylation metabolizing using the data and samples from a cross-sectional case-control study of arsenic and Type 2 diabetes mellitus conducted in Shanxi, China. A total of 340 individuals were included in the study. Urinary total arsenic (tAs, μg/L) was detected by liquid chromatography-atomic fluorescence spectrometry (LC-AFS). According to "safety guidance value of urinary arsenic for population" as specified in WS/T665-2019 (China), participants were divided into the control group (tAs ≤ 32 μg/L, n = 172) and arsenic-exposed group (tAs > 32 μg/L, n = 168). iAs%, MMA%, and DMA% are as the indicator of arsenic methylation capacity. The genotypes of AS3MT SNPs were examined by Multiple PCR combined sequencing. Linear regression analysis showed that AG + GG genotype in rs7085104 was associated with decreased iAs% and increased DMA%. Moreover, AG + AA genotype in rs10748835 and TC + CC genotype in rs1046778 were associated with decreased iAs% and MMA% and increased DMA%. The interaction between rs7085104 and arsenic is associated with iAs% and DMA%. The interaction of rs3740390 and rs10748835 with arsenic is associated with iAs%. Haplotype CTAC (rs3740393-rs3740390-rs10748835-rs1046778) was associated with lower iAs% and higher DMA%, but this association disappeared after adjusting for age, gender, drink, smoking, BMI and tAs. Haplotype GCAC was associated with decreased MMA%. Our study provides additional support for revealing the factors influencing the metabolic capacity of arsenic methylation and might be helpful to identify the population susceptible to arsenic exposure through individualized screening in the future., (© 2023. Objective: The study aims to assess the current development status of transforaminal full-endoscopic spine surgery (TFES) by exploring and analyzing the published literature to obtain an overview of this field and discover the evolution and emerging topics that are underrepresented., Methods: Using Bibliometrix, CiteSpace, and VOSviewer, we analyzed the bibliometric data selected from the Web of Science Core Collection between January 2002 and November 2022. The descriptive and evaluative analyses of authors, institutes, countries, journals, keywords, and references are compiled. The quantity of research productivity was measured by the number of publications that were published. A quality indicator was thought to be the number of citations. In the bibliometric analysis of authors, areas, institutes, and references, we calculated and ranked the research impact by various metrics, such as the h-index and m-index., Results: A total of 628 articles were identified in the field of TFES by the 18.73% annual growth rate of research on the subject from 2002 to 2022, constituting the documents are by 1961 authors affiliated with 661 institutions in 42 countries or regions and published in 117 journals. The USA (n = 0.20) has the highest international collaboration rate, South Korea has the highest H-index value (h = 33), and China is ranked as the most productive country (n = 348). Brown univ., Tongji univ., and Wooridul Spine represented the most productive institutes ranked by the number of publications. Wooridul Spine Hospital demonstrated the highest quality of paper publication. The Pain Physician had the highest h-index (n = 18), and the most cited journal with the earliest publication year in the area of FEDS is Spine (t = 1855)., Conclusion: The bibliometric study showed a growing trend of research on transforaminal full-endoscopic spine surgery over the past 20 years. It has shown a significant increase in the number of authors, institutions, and international collaborating countries. South Korea, the United States, and China dominate the related areas. This paper examines dividend policy issues in the European pharmaceutical industry. This sector is of particular interest because of the high research and development expenditures and the associated risks characterizing the business models of many firms in this industry. In fact, from the perspective of corporate finance theory, this is a particular challenge for the managers of these corporations that may also have implications for the dividend policy implemented by the firms forming this sector. Moreover, the level of internal financing and litigation risks also seem to be high in the pharmaceutical industry. These facts could also affect the payout policy of the firms. Employing techniques of time series analysis, there is no evidence for dividend signaling and clear evidence for dividend smoothing in the European pharmaceutical industry. Given that dividend increases under certain assumptions can negatively affect the firms' ability to finance new investments in general and research and development projects in particular, these results of our empirical investigations could be described as highly plausible., (© 2022. Amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, numerous publications of imaging findings in children have surfaced in a very short time. Publications discuss populations of overlapping age groups and describe different imaging patterns. We aim to present an overview of the quantity and type of literature available regarding COVID-19 chest imaging findings in children according to a 2020 publication timeline. We conducted a systematic review using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guideline. We searched terminology related to COVID-19, chest, children and imaging modalities in PubMed and Embase. The included papers were published online in 2020 and described imaging findings specific to children and reported five or more cases. Two researchers reviewed each abstract to determine inclusion or exclusion, and a radiologist reconciled any disagreements. Then we reviewed full articles for the main analysis. Eligible study designs included original articles, case series (≥5 cases), systematic reviews and meta-analyses. We excluded non-English manuscripts, retracted articles, and those without available full text. The remaining articles were distributed to four pediatric radiologists (on the Society for Pediatric Radiology Thoracic Committee), who summarized chest imaging findings. Eighty-two articles were included in the final analysis - 28% in radiology journals and 71% in non-radiology journals; 71% contained original data and 29% were review-style papers. There was a disproportionate contribution of review-style papers in April (55%), considering the paucity of preceding publications with original data in March (5 papers). June had the highest number of publications (n=14), followed by April (n=11) and July (n=11). Most (52%) original papers were from China and most individual pediatric imaging descriptions were from China (57%), while the majority of review papers (83%) were international. Imaging descriptions were available for 2,199 children (1,678 CT descriptions and 780 chest radiography descriptions). Findings included a 25% normal CT scan reports vs. 40% normal chest radiography reports. Ground-glass opacification was the most common CT finding (33%) and was reported in only a minority of chest radiographs (9%). A significant amount of information on pediatric COVID-19 chest imaging has become rapidly available over a short period. Most publications in 2020 were original articles, but they were published more often in non-radiology journals. A disproportionate number of review articles were published early on and were based on little original pediatric imaging data. CT scan reports, which represent the standard, outnumbered radiographic reports and indicated that ground-glass opacification is the main imaging finding and that only a quarter of scans are normal in children with COVID-19., (© 2022. Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is one of the major public health problems worldwide; both genetic and environmental factors are its risk factors. Arsenic, an environmental pollutant, might be a risk factor for T2DM, but the association of low-to-moderate level arsenic exposure with the risk of T2DM is still inconsistent. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) can affect the development of T2DM, but the study on KEAP1 rs11545829 (G>A) SNP is few. In this paper, we explored the effect of KEAP1 rs11545829 (G>A) SNP and low-to-moderate level arsenic exposure on risk of T2DM in a cross-sectional case-control study conducted in Shanxi, China. Total of 938 participants, including 318 T2DM cases and 618 controls, were enrolled. Blood glycosylated haemoglobin (HbA1c) was detected by Automatic Biochemical Analyzer, and participants with HbA1c≧6.5% were diagnosed as T2DM. Urinary total arsenic (tAs, mg/L), as the indicator of arsenic exposure, was detected by liquid chromatography-atomic fluorescence spectrometry (LC-AFS). Genomic DNA was extracted and the genotypes of KEAP1 rs11545829 SNP were examined by multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The urinary tAs concentration in recruited participants was 0.075 (0.03-0.15) mg/L, and was associated with an increased risk of T2DM (OR = 8.45, 95% CI 2.63-27.17); rs11545829 mutation homozygote AA genotype had a protective effect on risk of T2DM (OR = 0.42, 95 % CI 0.25-0.73). Although this protective effect of AA genotype was found in participants with higher urinary tAs level (>0.032 mg/L) (OR = 0.48, 95% CI 0.26-0.86), there was no interaction effect for arsenic exposure and rs11545829 SNP on risk of T2DM. In addition, BMI modified the association between rs11545829 SNP and the risk of T2DM (RERI = -1.11, 95% CI -2.18-0.04). The present study suggest that low-to-moderate level arsenic exposure may be a risk factor, while KEAP1 rs11545829 SNP mutation homozygote AA genotype may be a protective factor for risk of T2DM, especially for T2DM patients with urinary tAs level>0.032 mg/L., (© 2022. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were analyzed to elucidate the distribution, ecological risk, pathways, and fluxes of these pollutants in and around the Seto Inland Sea, an industrialized coastal region of Japan. High molecular weight PAHs (5-6 rings) were primarily found in regions close to the bay estuaries, and their proportions decreased at distances further from the estuaries (offshore areas), where low molecular weight PAHs (2-4 rings) were more ubiquitous. Screening-level risk assessments revealed that the PAHs found in the sediments should have no adverse effects on benthic communities. A mass balance for PAHs in the Seto Inland Sea, calculated based on data collected in the field and published literature findings, showed the PAH flux into the Seto Inland Sea from atmospheric deposition were ca. 6 times higher than that from riverine inflows. Comparison of the amount of the PAH mass flux between the Seto Inland Sea and the sea of the Europe and Asian countries indicated that the Seto Inland Sea is less polluted than the Gulf of Lion, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Bohai Sea, China and more polluted than the Yellow Sea. Microorganisms are an important part of atmospheric particulate matter and are closely related to human health. In this paper, the variations in the characteristics of the chemical components and bacterial communities in PM 10 and PM 2.5 grouped according to season, pollution degree, particle size, and winter heating stage were studied. The influence of environmental factors on community structure was also analyzed. The results showed that seasonal variations were significant. NO 3 - contributed the most to the formation of particulate matter in spring and winter, while SO 4 2- contributed the most in summer and autumn. The community structures in summer and autumn were similar, while the community structure in spring was significantly different. The dominant phyla were similar among seasons, but their proportions were different. The dominant genera were no-rank&#95;c&#95;Cyanobacteria, Acidovorax, Escherichia-Shigella and Sphingomonas in spring; Massilia, Bacillus, Acinetobacter, Rhodococcus, and Brevibacillus in summer and autumn; and Rhodococcus in winter. The atmospheric microorganisms in Beijing mainly came from soil, water, and plants. The few pathogens detected were mainly affected by the microbial source on the sampling day, regardless of pollution level. RDA (redundancy analysis) showed that the bacterial community was positively correlated with the concentration of particulate matter and that the wind speed in spring was positively correlated with NO 3 - levels, NH 4 + levels, temperature, and relative humidity in summer and autumn, but there was no clear consistency among winter samples. This study comprehensively analyzed the variations in the characteristics of the airborne bacterial community in Beijing over one year and provided a reference for understanding the source, mechanism, and assessment of the health effects of different air qualities., (© 2021. The relationship between outpatient and inpatient care is central to the current healthcare reform debate especially in developing countries. Despite the importance of this relationship to health policy makers, empirical evidence, particularly evidence that can be interpreted as causal is limited and inconclusive. This paper examines the effects of establishing a financing scheme for outpatient care on inpatient utilization and expenditure in China's Urban Employee Basic Medical Insurance scheme. Under a quasi-experimental design, we use a unique administrative insurance claim dataset and conduct a difference-in-differences analysis. Our results indicate that after the policy change, total number of admissions and total inpatient expenditure of the enrollees decreased by 0.47% and 6.05% respectively, which imply outpatient and inpatient care are substitutes, and the reduction in cost-sharing can release the underuse of the outpatient care, so as to reduce those excessive demands for inpatient care. Moreover, we present evidence that the effects on the admissions of Ambulatory Care Sensitive Conditions which should be sensitive to outpatient care intervention are relatively limited because of the lower reimbursement cap, inadequate capacity of the local primary care providers and stickiness in patients' healthcare-seeking behaviors. While the enrollees aged over 55 and retirees are more vulnerable to the medical prices, and the enrollees living in the central districts are more responsive because of the better and more accessible primary care., (© 2021. Purpose: To assess the longitudinal change in components of astigmatism from age 4 to 7 years and its association with axial length-corneal radius ratio (AL/CR)., Methods: Children born between September 2011 and August 2012 in Yuhuatai District of Nanjing were invited to participate in the Nanjing Eye Study for a comprehensive eye examination annually since 2015. The data presented in this paper were obtained in 2016, 2017, and 2019. At each study encounter, noncycloplegic autorefraction and ocular biometric parameters were measured. Changes of total astigmatism (TA), corneal astigmatism (CA), anterior corneal astigmatism (ACA), residual astigmatism (RA), and internal astigmatism (IA) were analyzed in clinical notation (Cyl) and vector notation (J 0 , J 45 )., Results: Nine hundred fifty-four children (mean ± standard deviation of baseline age: 4.63 ± 0.29 years, 53.7% boys) had complete data and were included in this study. Mean slopes of longitudinal changes in Cyl notation were significantly negative for TA, CA, and ACA, but positive for IA. TA, CA, ACA, and RA of J 0 notation had a shift toward increasing with-the-rule (WTR) astigmatism and/or decreasing against-the-rule (ATR) astigmatism. TA of J 45 notation showed an increase in astigmatism at axis 135° and/or a decrease in astigmatism at axis 45°, while CA and ACA of J 45 notation showed an opposite change. Longitudinal changes in ACA and IA were negatively correlated in J 0 notation, but not in J 45 notation. Based on compensation factor (CF, defined as the minus ratio of IA and ACA), the compensation proportions for J 0 in varying degrees (CF: 0.1-2) in 2016, 2017, and 2019 were 91.3%, 93.5%, and 90.0%, respectively, while these for J 45 were 74.9%, 76.5%, and 34.6%, respectively. Higher AL/CR increase was associated with less decrease or more increase in CA and ACA of Cyl notation, and a shift toward increasing WTR and/or decreasing ATR in these of J 0 notation., Conclusions: The compensatory role of IA was persistent and prominent from 4 to 7 years old for J 0 notation in Chinese young children. Improving health outcomes of rural populations in low- and middle-income countries represents a significant challenge. A key part of this is ensuring access to health services and protecting households from financial risk caused by unaffordable medical care. In 2003, China introduced a heavily subsidised voluntary social health insurance programme that aimed to provide 800 million rural residents with access to health services and curb medical impoverishment. This paper provides new evidence on the impact of the scheme on health care utilisation and medical expenditure. Given the voluntary nature of the insurance enrolment, we exploit the uneven roll-out of the programme across rural counties as a natural experiment to explore causal inference. We find little effect of the insurance on the use of formal medical care and out-of-pocket health payments. However, there is evidence that it directed people away from informal health care towards village clinics, especially among patients with lower income. The insurance has also led to a reduction in the use of city hospitals among the rich. The shift to village clinics from informal care and higher-level hospitals suggests that the NRCMS has the potential to improve efficiency within the health care system and help patients to obtain less costly primary care. However, the poor quality of primary care and insufficient insurance coverage for outpatient services remains a concern.
