The shipping industry faces a pressing challenge with carbon emissions, prompting a focus on speed optimization for energy conservation and emission reduction. While much research has centered on optimizing speeds in oceans and rivers, canals have received less attention, despite their unique challenges of narrow waterways and busy locks. This study fills this gap by establishing a fuel consumption prediction model integrating key environmental factors such as water depth, width, and flow velocity. Drawing upon established methodologies in speed optimization, this study augments these models with waiting time limits for each canal segment. To validate the efficacy of the model, three representative ships are selected as case studies. The findings reveal a high predictive capability of the fuel consumption model, as evidenced by R2 values exceeding 0.97 across all cases. Notably, the optimization approach yields a fuel consumption reduction ranging from 4% to 5% for short waiting times. Furthermore, compared to conventional methods, the proposed optimization strategy achieves an 8.19% enhancement in fuel consumption and carbon emission reduction for long waiting times, culminating in an overall optimization rate of 11.54%. Herein, a three-dimensional flower-like cobalt-nickel bimetallic metal-organic framework (CoNi-MOF) coupled with two-dimensional graphene oxide (GO) nanocomposites was successfully synthesized for the selective and simultaneous electrochemical determination of catechol (CC) and hydroquinone (HQ). The three-dimensional flower-like structure of the CoNi-MOF/GO nanocomposite has a multilayer structure and a large surface area, which greatly improves its electrocatalytic activity towards CC and HQ. Differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) results showed that the peak-to-peak separation of CC (0.223 V) and HQ (0.120 V) was 103 mV at a CoNi-MOF/GO modified glassy carbon electrode (CoNi-MOF/GO/GCE), suggesting that the proposed modified electrode can selectively and simultaneously determine them. Under optimal conditions, the CoNi-MOF/GO/GCE showed an excellent analytical performance for the simultaneous determination of CC and HQ, including a wide linear range (0.1–100 μM), low detection limit (0.04 μM for HQ and 0.03 μM for CC) and high anti-interference ability. Ship lock as a typical hydraulic structure has become an important node in waterway transportation. Due to the long operating life and high demand of throughput, many locks are under the overloaded operation situation. However, the service condition assessment of ship locks has rarely been directly studied, and there is a lack of an efficient and standardized method owing to the complex structure of the ship lock system. In this paper, a multi-level hierarchical system including 36 indexes was constructed based on the engineering breakdown structure theory. The synthetic weights of indexes were determined by the order relation method and entropy weight method combining subjectivity and objectivity. The extension cloud model combining the extension theory and cloud model was put forward, aiming to deal with the uncertainty of fuzziness and randomness in the evaluation process. Then, two typical locks were investigated, and the numerical scores indicated that their states belong to Level III and Level IV, respectively. The proposed method reveals the structural condition and provides theoretical reference for the maintenance of ship locks, which can be applied with generalizability and operability. Currently, two-dimensional (2D) materials with intrinsic antiferromagnetism have stimulated research interest due to their insensitivity to external magnetic fields and absence of stray fields. Here, we predict a family of stable transition metal (TM) borides, TMB12 (TM = V, Cr, Mn, Fe) monolayers, by combining TM atoms and B12 icosahedra based on first-principles calculations. Our results show that the four TMB12 monolayers have stable antiferromagnetic (AFM) ground states with large magnetic anisotropic energy. Among them, three TMB12 (TM=V, Cr, Mn) monolayers display an in-plane easy magnetization axis, while the FeB12 monolayer has an out-of-plane easy magnetization axis. Among them, the CrB12 and the FeB12 monolayers are AFM semiconductors with band gaps of 0.13 eV and 0.35 eV, respectively. In particular, the AFM FeB12 monolayer is a spin-polarized AFM material with a Néel temperature of 125 K. Moreover, the electronic and magnetic properties of the CrB12 and the FeB12 monolayers can be modulated by imposing external biaxial strains. Hyperlipidemia results in endothelial dysfunction, which is intimately associated with disturbed mitochondrial homeostasis, and is a real risk factor for cardiovascular diseases (CVDs). Triphenylphosphonium (TPP+)-HT, constructed by linking a mitochondrial-targeting moiety TPP+ to hydroxytyrosol (HT), enters the cell and accumulates in mitochondria and is thus an important candidate drug for preventing hyperlipidemia-induced endothelial injury. In the present study, we found that TPP-HT has a better anti-inflammatory effect than HT. In vivo, TPP-HT significantly prevented hyperlipidemia-induced adverse changes in the serological lipid panel, as well as endothelial and mitochondrial dysfunction of the thoracic aorta. Similarly, in vitro, TPP-HT exhibited similar protective effects in palmitate (PA)-induced endothelial dysfunction, particularly enhanced expression of the mitochondrial ETC complex II, recovered FoxO1 expression in PA-injured human aorta endothelial cells (HAECs) and promoted FoxO1 nuclear translocation. We further demonstrated that FoxO1 plays a pivotal role in regulating ATP production in the presence of TPP-HT by using the siFoxO1 knockdown technique. Simultaneously, TPP-HT enhanced Nrf2 nuclear translocation, consistent with the in vivo findings of immunofluorescence, and the antioxidant effect of TPP-HT was almost entirely blocked by siNrf2. Concomitantly, TPP-HT's anti-inflammatory effects in the current study were primarily mediated via the p38 MAPK/NF-κB signaling pathway in addition to the FoxO1 and Nrf2 pathways. In brief, our findings suggest that mitochondria-targeted TPP-HT prevents lipotoxicity induced endothelial dysfunction by enhancing mitochondrial function and redox balance by promoting FoxO1 and Nrf2 nuclear translocation. Pathogenesis-related 1 (PR-1) proteins, which are defense proteins in plant–pathogen interactions, play an important role in the resistance and defense of plants against diseases. Blister blight disease is caused by Exobasidium vexans Massee and a major leaf disease of tea plants (Camellia sinensis (L.) O. Kuntze). However, the systematic characterization and analysis of the PR-1 gene family in tea plants is still lacking, and the defense mechanism of this family remains unknown. In this study, 17 CsPR-1 genes were identified from the tea plant genome and classified into five groups based on their signal peptide, isoelectric point, and C-terminus extension. Most of the CsPR-1 proteins contained an N-terminal signal peptide and a conserved PR-1 like domain. CsPR-1 genes comprised multiple cis-acting elements and were closely related to the signal-transduction pathways involving TCA, NPR1, EDS16, BGL2, PR4, and HCHIB. These characteristics imply an important role of the genes in the defense of the tea plant. In addition, the RNA-seq data and real-time PCR analysis demonstrated that the CsPR-1-2, -4, -6, -7, -8, -9, -10, -14, -15, and -17 genes were significantly upregulated under tea blister-blight stress.
