Peer-reviewed conferences, the main publication venues in CS, rely critically on matching highly qualified reviewers for each paper. Because of the growing scale of these conferences, the tight timelines on which they operate, and a recent surge in explicitly dishonest behavior, there is now no alternative to performing this matching in an automated way. This paper introduces Large Conference Matching (LCM) , a novel reviewer–paper matching approach that was recently deployed in the 35th AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AAAI 2021), and has since been adopted (wholly or partially) by other conferences including ICML 2022, AAAI 2022-2024, and IJCAI 2022-2024. LCM has three main elements: (1) collecting and processing input data to identify problematic matches and generate reviewer–paper scores; (2) formulating and solving an optimization problem to find good reviewer–paper matchings; and (3) a two-phase reviewing process that shifts reviewing resources away from papers likely to be rejected and towards papers closer to the decision boundary. Based on the rapid development of intelligent technologies in recent years, the digital transformation of the whole industry and society has become increasingly important. Among them, digital twins and artificial intelligence have great potentials in improving industry processes and further enhancing productivity. This paper proposes an Intelligent Digital Twin System (IDTS) based on artificial intelligence and digital twins for the paper industry. The system includes the prediction models for the stirring speed of the dump chest, the water consumption of the deflaker, the supply air pressure of the dryer, and the exhaust air temperature of the dryer. The sensors, 5G network slices, and other equipment collect related data during the papermaking process for generating twin data, and we use the prediction models to analyze the data and monitor important indicators (stirring speeds, water consumptions, supply air pressures, and exhaust air temperatures) for the manufacturing processes, which are used to improve the energy utilization and production efficiency of the paper industry and thus facilitate cost saving. We apply this intelligent digital twin system and its associated prediction models to an actual paper manufacturing factory and show their effectiveness by improving the operational efficiency and saving labor and maintenance costs. Abstract Sewer networks play a pivotal role in our everyday lives by transporting the stormwater and urban sewage away from the urban areas. In this regard, Sewer Overflow (SO) has been considered as a detrimental threat to our environment and health, which results from the wastewater discharge into the environment. In order to grapple with such deleterious phenomenon, numerous studies have been conducted; however, there has not been any review paper that provides the researchers undertaking research in this area with the following inclusive picture: (1) detailed-scientometric analysis of the research undertaken hitherto, (2) the types of methodologies used in the previous studies, (3) the aspects of environment impacted by the SO occurrence, and (4) the gaps existing in the relative literature together with the potential future works to be undertaken. Based on the comprehensive review undertaken, it is observed that simulation and artificial intelligence-based methods have been the most popular approaches. In addition, it has come to the attention that the detrimental impacts associated with the SO are fourfold as follows: air, quality of water, soil, and business and structure. Among these, the majority of the studies' focus have been tilted towards the impact of SO on the quality of ground water. The outcomes of this state-of-the-art review provides the researchers and environmental engineers with inclusive hindsight in dealing with such serious issue, which in turn, this culminates in a significant improvement in our environment as well as humans' well-beings. Pandemics such as COVID-19 have exposed global inequalities in essential health care. Here, we proposed a novel analytics of nucleic acid amplification tests (NAATs) by combining paper microfluidics with deep learning and cloud computing. Real-time amplifications of synthesized SARS-CoV-2 RNA templates were performed in paper devices. Information pertained to on-chip reactions in time-series format were transmitted to cloud server on which deep learning (DL) models were preloaded for data analysis. DL models enable prediction of NAAT results using partly gathered real-time fluorescence data. Using information provided by the G-channel, accurate prediction can be made as early as 9 min, a 78% reduction from the conventional 40 min mark. Reaction dynamics hidden in amplification curves were effectively leveraged. Positive and negative samples can be unbiasedly and automatically distinguished. Practical utility of the approach was validated by cross-platform study using clinical datasets. Predicted clinical accuracy, sensitivity and specificity were 98.6%, 97.6% and 99.1%. Not only the approach reduced the need for the use of bulky apparatus, but also provided intelligent, distributable and robotic insights for NAAT analysis. It set a novel paradigm for analyzing NAATs, and can be combined with the most cutting-edge technologies in fields of biosensor, artificial intelligence and cloud computing to facilitate fundamental and clinical research. Peer review is a widely accepted mechanism for research evaluation, playing a pivotal role in academic publishing. However, criticisms have long been leveled at this mechanism, mostly because of its poor efficiency and low reproducibility. Recent years have seen the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in assisting the peer review process. Nonetheless, with the involvement of humans, such limitations remain inevitable. In this paper, we propose the concept and pipeline of automated scholarly paper review (ASPR) and review the relevant literature and technologies of achieving a full-scale computerized review process. On the basis of the review and discussion, we conclude that there is already corresponding research and preliminary implementation at each stage of ASPR. We further look into the challenges in ASPR with the existing technologies. The major difficulties lie in inadequate data, imperfect document parsing and representation, defective human–computer interaction, and flawed deep logical reasoning. Moreover, we point out the future directions and discuss the possible moral and ethical issues of ASPR. Over the past decades, companies have continually sought out approaches that help them reduce the innovation cycle time due to its importance in their success. Among these approaches are TRIZ-based systematic inventive design processes, such as Inventive Design Methodology (IDM). Nevertheless, the application of these methods in the initial analysis, which requires an exhaustive gathering of information at the start of the innovation project without considering its impact on the final solution, decreases the agility of these types of processes. Consequently, a lean-based method called Inverse Problem Graph (IPG) has been proposed to formulate problems in the initial analysis phase of the inventive design process. However, the manual gathering of essential information to create a network of problems in the IPG method requires time and effort, which impresses the method's capability. This paper integrates an automatic information retrieval approach, using Doc2vec and Cosine Similarity as Artificial Intelligence methods and Scientific Papers, into the IPG process. The emerging concept of digital twins outlines the pathway towards intelligent buildings. Although abundant building data carries an overwhelming amount of information, if not well exploited, the redundant and irrelevant data dimensions result in the overfitting problem and heavy computational load. Taking the fault detection and diagnosis process for building HVAC systems as the case, this paper adopts a symbolic artificial intelligence technique to identify informative sensory dimensions for building-specific faults by exploring the symbolic representation of labelled time-series. To preserve this ad-hoc temporal knowledge in the digital twin ecosystem, machine-readable fault tags are defined to label corresponding sensor entities. A digital twin data platform is developed to annotate the real-time data with fault tags and produce filtered low-latency data streams associated with a specified tag to automate this process. Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) and automated robotics will profoundly influence space operations. By utilising machine learning and deep learning approaches, AI-enabled systems may accomplish tasks as well as improve their own performance. These capabilities are useful in the often-remote settings of outer space and will grow in value as automated space operations become more widespread. As AI extends throughout the space domain, automated algorithms will take on many of the roles that have historically been handled by humans. Artificial intelligence is progressing from theory to implementation in the space environment by exposing new satellites and orbital autonomous vehicles to new data. Even though all initial computational parameters are provided, such systems' outputs can be very unpredictable, putting people, property, and the environment at risk. This paper investigates the application of United Nations space treaties, selected regional AI regulations, and various 'soft-law' instruments and industry initiatives focusing on responsible AI system development to space-based AI systems. Following that, reforms are proposed to clarify the practical relationship between AI systems and the international legal regime that governs space, as well as a 'bottom-up' regulatory approach to better facilitate the future development of regulation governing the use of AI by the global space sector. Diabetes is a chronic condition that is characterized by high blood glucose levels and can cause damage to multiple organs over time. Continuous monitoring of glucose levels is essential for both diabetic and non-diabetic individuals. There have been major developments in glucose monitoring technology over the past decade, which have been driven by research and industry efforts. Despite these significant advancements, the area of glucose biosensors still faces significant challenges. This paper presents a comprehensive summary of the latest glucose monitoring technologies, including invasive, minimally invasive, and non-invasive methods. Subsequently, we bring together the electronic components, wireless communication technologies, and energy harvesting opportunities, along with the limitations and challenges associated with current glucose monitoring solutions. This paper deals with a comparative evaluation of nonlinear controllers based on the linear regression technique, which is a machine learning algorithm for maximum power point tracking. In the past decade, most photovoltaic systems have been equipped with classical algorithms such as perturb and observe, hill climbing, and incremental conductance. The simplicity of these techniques and their ease of implementation were seen as the main reasons for their utilization in photovoltaic systems. However, researchers' attention has recently been attracted by artificial intelligence-based techniques such as linear regression, which offer better performance within the bounds of the nonlinearity of photovoltaic system characteristics. An adaptive terminal synergetic backstepping controller is developed in this paper for a single-ended primary inductance converter. This control scheme is based on the combination of a non-singular terminal synergetic technique with an integral backstepping technique and equally a neural network for the approximation of unmeasured or inaccessible variables that guarantees the finite-time convergence. The rapid advancement of robotics and artificial intelligence paves the way for collaborative robotics to revolutionise industrial operations. An increasing number of manufacturing companies have initiated designing and implementing AI systems in manufacturing, however, with limited success. Within our overarching research objective of establishing a methodology for the development of AI systems in manufacturing with socio-technical system consideration, this paper focuses on the early design phase of the development life cycle and aims to identify factors that are essential in the phase but whose importance has been less addressed in the manufacturing literature. To this aim, a case study was conducted adopting a design science approach. The case company was developing an ML-based anomaly detection system for a casting process. The researcher organised an AI system design workshop where participants from the company used the Human-AI design guidelines created by a leading large software company. The workshop enabled the participants to explore a wide range of design concerns. It, however, caused the confusing experience that they had to deal with too many questions simultaneously without clear guidance. Analysing this negative experience has led to identifying four design issues requiring further attention in the research. An example of these issues is that the interdependency of design decisions on operational procedures, human-machine interfaces, ML models, pre-processing, and input data makes it challenging to design these elements in isolation. The study found that a structured approach to dealing with the identified issues was currently lacking. This paper contributes to the manufacturing research community by addressing key unresolved issues in the research through highlighting practical details of designing AI systems in manufacturing. To satisfy the rising demand for higher product quality and giga-casting requirements, the casting process is undergoing significant changes. However, current control methods rely significantly on human expertise and experience, making process availability and stability difficult to ensure. The semisolid casting process is more complicated than conventional liquid casting due to the additional casting parameters incorporated during the slurry preparation, which can have an effect on the quality of the final product. Therefore, an efficient tool is required to simplify the complete process of semisolid casting. The introduction of an AI system to aid in the supervision of the casting manufacturing procedure is one potential solution. This paper introduces a new casting system named "Smart-Cast" developed for this specific purpose. The paper describes the functions of the system and its current development process. Tailings dam failures cause catastrophic impact on the environment and surrounding communities. Incidences of failure in the recent past have caused industrialists and researchers to seek innovative ways for proactively managing their safety and disaster mitigation. Given Industry 4.0 technologies now available, researchers are looking to develop digital tools for cost-effective, realtime monitoring of tailings dams. However, published literature indicates that a reliable framework is still lacking. This paper proposes a framework for developing a data-driven system for monitoring tailings dam stability and early warning detection. The framework relies upon digital twin simulation and machine-learning (ML) techniques, and comprises four main components: realtime data collection, digital twin modelling, ML-based early detection and prediction, and intelligence-driven decision-support. Sensors gather real-time geophysical data from monitored structure, and the digital twin uses this data to simulate dam behaviour. ML algorithms analyse the data and simulations to enable early detection of instability and failure prediction. Literature suggests that digital twin and ML-based approaches may have advantages over traditional monitoring techniques and other AI-based methods. The paper concludes with a discussion of the framework's limitations, opportunities for improvement, and potential for application in mining and geotechnical engineering. Industrial maintenance plays a crucial role in manufacturing by significantly reducing machine failure time and minimizing costs, especially in the revolution of Industry 4.0. In the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), its application in industrial settings, particularly for anomaly detection in time series data, poses unique challenges. Current methods often lack a comprehensive understanding of the trade-offs involved in achieving optimal model performance, data preparation effort, and prediction quality. To bridge this gap, this paper presents an adaptive approach to address these challenges, focusing on making conscious decisions about mentioned trade-offs. Inspired by the principles of the Iron Triangle from product engineering, our methodology introduces a novel "AI triangle" with dimensions of Speed, Effort, and Quality. We applied this methodology to a real-world case study involving anomaly detection in a constrained hardware environment in the context of a forming production process. The results highlight the effectiveness of our approach in achieving a practical balance between speed, effort, and quality constraints for implementing AI in an industrial setting. The human-centered view emphasizes various aspects including usability, acceptance, and understandability, as they emerge in the interaction between humans and intelligent systems. For intelligent assistance systems to provide long-term added value in working environments, it is of major importance to develop a positive user experience. However, a positive user experience does not appear by itself but must be systematically investigated and designed. In this paper, we focus on the role of operator 5.0 in manufacturing and provide an overview of the main challenges and potentials related to working with intelligent systems. In recent years, social networks have changed the way people communicate, while the dissemination and obtaining of information has become fast and convenient. However, it is a double-edged sword, providing both a breeding ground for disinformation and a medium for its rapid dissemination. Meanwhile, falsehoods are proliferating and becoming a global risk, and deepfake technology makes it harder to discern. Therefore, this paper proposed a large language model-based algorithm to detect disinformation with generated videos and photos, which enhances the ability to discriminate fake news by implanting alignment and task specific instructions on the Llama model. Eventually, the result indicated that the proposed method has the potential to achieve superior performance and aligned with people's judgment of things. Furthermore, the paper delves into practical discussions concerning fine-tuning the model within the constraints of limited computational power, highlighting the challenges and potential solutions in optimizing the algorithm for applications. Artificial intelligence (AI)-driven fault diagnosis methods are crucial for ensuring rotating machinery's safety and effective operation. The success of most current methods relies on the assumption that sufficient high-quality labeled datasets can be obtained for model training. However, in real-world industrial scenarios, obtaining such datasets is difficult or nearly impossible, thereby hindering the practical implementation of these methods. The integration of virtual modeling and transfer learning offers a powerful approach to meet the above challenge. Abundant virtual data of different fault categories can be acquired in the virtual space with highly flexible and at a low cost, and transfer learning can enhance the practical utility of these virtual data for contributing to the construction of diagnosis models. Therefore, this paper proposes a digital twin-driven partial domain fault diagnosis method based on unlabeled physical data and labeled virtual data. First, a virtual model of rotating machinery is built to generate labeled virtual fault data with enough fault types. Then, an adversarial transfer learning network is developed to leverage the effective knowledge from the virtual and physical data. Meanwhile, a weighting learning module is introduced to reduce the negative effect caused by the redundant fault categories in the virtual space. Finally, the proposed digital twin-driven transfer learning network is trained with the labeled virtual data and unlabeled physical data. Experiments on a light truck transmission system demonstrate that the proposed method achieves satisfactory diagnostic performance even without labeled physical fault data, contributing to the advancement of AI engineering applications. In traditional medicine and ethnomedicine, medicinal plants have long been recognized as the basis for materials in therapeutic applications worldwide. In particular, the remarkable curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine during corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has attracted extensive attention globally. Medicinal plants have, therefore, become increasingly popular among the public. However, with increasing demand for and profit with medicinal plants, commercial fraudulent events such as adulteration or counterfeits sometimes occur, which poses a serious threat to the clinical outcomes and interests of consumers. With rapid advances in artificial intelligence, machine learning can be used to mine information on various medicinal plants to establish an ideal resource database. We herein present a review that mainly introduces common machine learning algorithms and discusses their application in multi-source data analysis of medicinal plants. Reproducibility of artificial intelligence (AI) research has become a growing concern. One of the fundamental reasons is the lack of transparency in data, code, and model. In this work, we aimed to systematically review the radiology and nuclear medicine papers on AI in terms of transparency and open science. A systematic literature search was performed in PubMed to identify original research studies on AI. The search was restricted to studies published in Q1 and Q2 journals that are also indexed on the Web of Science. A random sampling of the literature was performed. Besides six baseline study characteristics, a total of five availability items were evaluated. Two groups of independent readers including eight readers participated in the study. Inter-rater agreement was analyzed. Disagreements were resolved with consensus. Following eligibility criteria, we included a final set of 194 papers. The raw data was available in about one-fifth of the papers (34/194; 18%). However, the authors made their private data available only in one paper (1/161; 1%). About one-tenth of the papers made their pre-modeling (25/194; 13%), modeling (28/194; 14%), or post-modeling files (15/194; 8%) available. Most of the papers (189/194; 97%) did not attempt to create a ready-to-use system for real-world usage. Data origin, use of deep learning, and external validation had statistically significantly different distributions. The use of private data alone was negatively associated with the availability of at least one item (p <0.001). Despite lacking a generally accepted definition, Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is commonly understood to refer to artificial agents possessing the capacity to build up a context-independent understanding of itself and the world and to generalize this knowledge across a multitude of contexts. In human agents, this capacity is, to a large degree, facilitated by processes of self-directed learning , during which agents voluntarily control the conditions under which episodes of learning and problem solving occur. Since self-directed learning depends on the degree of knowledge the agent has about various aspects of themselves (their bodily skills, their learning goal, etc.), an AGI implementation of this type of learning must build on a theory of how this self-knowledge is actualized and modified during the learning process. In this paper, we employ the pattern theory of self in order to characterize different aspects of an agent's self that are relevant for self-directed learning. Such aspects include agent-internal cognitive states such as thoughts, emotions, and intentions, but also relational states such as action possibilities in the environment. Combinations of these aspects form a characteristic pattern, which is unique to each individual agent, with no one aspect being necessary or sufficient for the individuation of that agent's self. Here, we focus on the interdependence of narrative and embodied aspects of the self-pattern, since they involve particularly salient challenges consisting in conceptualizing the interaction between propositional and motor representations. In our paper, we model the reciprocal interaction of these aspects of the self-pattern within an individual cognitive agent. We do so by extending an approach by Ryan, Agrawal, & Franklin (2020), who laid the groundwork for the implementation of the pattern theory of self in the LIDA (Learning Intelligent Decision Agent) model. We describe how embodied and narrative aspects of an agent's self-pattern are realized by patterns of interaction between different LIDA modules over time, and how interactions at multiple temporal scales allow the agent's self-pattern to be both dynamically variable and relatively stable. Finally, we investigate the implications this view has for the creation of artificial agents that can benefit from self-directed learning, both in the context of deliberate planning and adaptive motor execution. AI applications have changed rules and policies related to healthcare practice and work ethics. However, building trustworthy and explainable AI (XAI) in healthcare systems is still in its early stages. Specifically, the European Union has stated that AI must be human-centred and trustworthy, whereas in the healthcare sector, low methodological quality and high bias risk have become major concerns. This study endeavours to offer a systematic review of the trustworthiness and explainability of AI applications in healthcare, incorporating the assessment of quality, bias risk, and data fusion to supplement previous studies and provide more accurate and definitive findings. Likewise, 64 recent contributions on the trustworthiness of AI in healthcare from multiple databases (i.e., ScienceDirect, Scopus, Web of Science, and IEEE Xplore) were identified using a rigorous literature search method and selection criteria. The considered papers were categorised into a coherent and systematic classification including seven categories: explainable robotics, prediction, decision support, blockchain, transparency, digital health, and review. In this paper, we have presented a systematic and comprehensive analysis of earlier studies and opened the door to potential future studies by discussing in depth the challenges, motivations, and recommendations. In this study a systematic science mapping analysis in order to reorganise and summarise the results of earlier studies to address the issues of trustworthiness and objectivity was also performed. Moreover, this work has provided decisive evidence for the trustworthiness of AI in health care by presenting eight current state-of-the-art critical analyses regarding those more relevant research gaps. In addition, to the best of our knowledge, this study is the first to investigate the feasibility of utilising trustworthy and XAI applications in healthcare, by incorporating data fusion techniques and connecting various important pieces of information from available healthcare datasets and AI algorithms. The analysis of the revised contributions revealed crucial implications for academics and practitioners, and then potential methodological aspects to enhance the trustworthiness of AI applications in the medical sector were reviewed. Successively, the theoretical concept and current use of 17 XAI methods in health care were addressed. Finally, several objectives and guidelines were provided to policymakers to establish electronic health-care systems focused on achieving relevant features such as legitimacy, morality, and robustness. This work conduct a quantitative analysis on related literature in WOS from 2011 to 2022 by mathematical and statistical methods, including publication trend, journals, author, institution, national and regional, keyword, literature co-citation. The hotspots and trends were revealed. The results showed that: (1) scholars' attention to it showed a steady increasing. (2) There were 20 journals published more than 6 papers, published 205 papers, that's 30.83 % of the total, Journal of Healthcare Engineering published the most papers, that's 8.78 %. (2) Kendrick Cato, Lisiane Pruinelli published the most papers, that's 2.95 %, which have strong cooperation. Stress, a pervasive issue in today's world, significantly impacts mental and physical health. With approximately 20% of adults experiencing mental health disorders each year, and depression affecting over 260 million people globally, effective stress manage- ment is crucial. Chronic stress is also associated with physical ailments, including cardiovascular diseases, the leading global cause of death. In parallel, the wearable device market has witnessed substantial growth, with over 300 million units sold worldwide in 2021. These devices offer a unique opportunity to collect physiological and behavioral data, making them invaluable for stress detection and prediction. Combining artificial intelligence (AI) and wearables, this paper explores their accuracy in capturing vital data and the potential to revolutionize stress management, ultimately improving mental and physical well-being. In this paper, the ensemble-based classifier known as the Histogram-based Gradient Boosting Classifier detected stress from heart rates with an accuracy of 73%. This establishes the independent nature of Heart Rates for stress prediction, emphasizing that there is no need for sophisticated ECG and HRV readings. In the digital age, organizations confront the challenge of managing diverse documents efficiently while ensuring security, accuracy, and accessibility. Conventional document management approaches often must catch up, leading to inefficiencies and increased costs. This paper introduces the Intelligent Document Management System (IDMS), which employs advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to enhance document workflows. This research extends the capabilities of IDMS to encompass the extraction and processing of data from three important document types: medical bills, Aadhar cards, and PAN cards. The research and development efforts done in this paper have concentrated on seamlessly integrating of these models into the IDMS framework, offering a comprehensive solution for extracting and processing data from various document types. In this paper, two approaches, namely Easy OCR and a hybrid approach of combining NLP (Regular Expression) and CV (OCR) have been applied and compared. The results revealed that the proposed hybrid approach (NLPCV) is better, with higher accuracy of 97%,71 %, and 78% for hospital invoices, Aadhar cards, and PAN cards, respectively. The process of miner selection in blockchain networks plays a significant role in maintaining the efficiency and security of the net- work. In blockchain, the consensus algorithm is crucial for miner selection. Considering the downsides of the consensus algorithm (PoW, PoS) this paper employs proof of artificial intelligence (PoAI) over proof of stake and proof of work. This paper proposes an approach for miner selection using the Proof of Artificial Intelligence (PoAI) framework, which leverages Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) to predict efficient miners for blockchain networks. This paper describes the design and implementation of our PoAI that uses DNN algorithm on a bitcoin dataset, is a combination of supervised and unsupervised learning techniques to model the be- havior of miners using suitable features such as age, number of blocks mined, transaction volume and number of transactions. With the rapid growth of social economy, the requirements for resource utilization are becoming higher and higher. How to effectively solve the problem of energy shortage has become a hot topic. However, there are still many deficiencies in the current resource scheduling algorithm. For example, for different types of satellites with different needs and requirements, their performance indicators are different, and in the satellite communication system, the interaction between multiple nodes needs to be considered. Therefore, this paper studies the artificial intelligence algorithm, and proposes an improved particle complementary scheduling strategy for a single user in view of the shortcomings of the existing particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. On this basis, this paper applies this method to evaluate the system performance and verify its effectiveness. The use of artificial intelligence systems in clinical routine is still hampered by the necessity of a medical device certification and/or by the difficulty of implementing these systems in a clinic's quality management system. In this context, the key questions for a user are how to ensure robust model predictions and how to appraise the quality of a model's results on a regular basis. In this paper we discuss some conceptual foundation for a clinical implementation of a machine learning system and argue that both vendors and users should take certain responsibilities, as is already common practice for high-risk medical equipment. We propose the methodology from AAPM Task Group 100 report No. 283 as a conceptual framework for developing risk-driven a quality management program for a clinical process that encompasses a machine learning system. This is illustrated with an example of a clinical workflow. Our analysis shows how the risk evaluation in this framework can accommodate artificial intelligence based systems independently of their robustness evaluation or the user's in–house expertise. In particular, we highlight how the degree of interpretability of a machine learning system can be systematically accounted for within the risk evaluation and in the development of a quality management system. With the ever increasing number of active satellites in space, the rising demand for larger formations of small satellites and the commercialization of the space industry (so-called New Space), the realization of manufacturing processes in orbit comes closer to reality. Reducing launch costs and risks, allowing for faster on-demand deployment of individually configured satellites as well as the prospect for possible on-orbit servicing for satellites makes the idea of realizing an in-orbit factory promising. In this paper, we present a novel approach to an in-orbit factory of small satellites covering a digital process twin, AI-based fault detection, and teleoperated robot-control, which are being researched as part of the "AI-enabled Cyber–Physical In-Orbit Factory" project. In addition to the integration of modern automation and Industry 4.0 production approaches, the question of how artificial intelligence (AI) and learning approaches can be used to make the production process more robust, fault-tolerant and autonomous is addressed. This lays the foundation for a later realization of satellite production in space in the form of an in-orbit factory. Central aspect is the development of a robotic AIT (Assembly, Integration and Testing) system where a small satellite could be assembled by a manipulator robot from modular subsystems. Approaches developed to improving this production process with AI include employing neural networks for optical and electrical fault detection of components. Force sensitive measuring and motion training helps to deal with uncertainties and tolerances during assembly. An AI-guided teleoperated control of the robot arm allows for human intervention while a Digital Process Twin represents process data and provides supervision during the whole production process. This technology has been an implementable choice for fashion companies to provide more information and customization for their user's shopping experience. From the COVID-19 pandemic alongside technological globalization, fashion industries have to find a new way for customers to purchase products. All things considered, AR helped fashion industries keep customers attracted and satisfied. This paper is conducted in a Systematic Literature Review manner to review and compare the AR technologies used by fashion industries. Furthermore, the result would be a proposition of which Augmented Reality technology or platform option is feasible and implementable for the fashion industry. After comparing the technologies used in past papers and their technical and economic feasibility, we propose a 3-term plan. The short-term plan with zero cost and mobile platform-focused application, the medium-term plan with an upgraded version of the garment object from 2D images to 3D objects, and the long-term plan changing the platform used from mobile to a new device. We also conclude that artificial intelligence can also support and improve the augmented reality experience for customers in the fashion retail industry by implementing an AI-powered virtual assistant. In this paper, we analyze selected structural and dynamic properties of uninorm Petri nets in terms of their use in modeling knowledge-based systems operating in an uncertain environment. The uninorm Petri nets use uninorms to describe their behavior. Uninorms are a special type of aggregation functions that generalize both t-norms and s-norms. This generalization is that in the case of a uninorm, the neutral element can take any value in the unit interval, in contrast to triangular norms, for which the neutral element is equal to 1 or 0 depending on whether the triangular norm is a t-norm or an s-norm. Thanks to this, by manipulating the neutral element in the unit interval, it is possible to better match the behavior of the used net to the requirements of the modeled system. When modeling systems using uninorm Petri nets, as well as nets using triangular norms, the following questions are important for the designer of such models: (1) What properties of the net affect the uniqueness of the model's decisions? (2) How to choose uninorms assigned to net transitions so that the behavior of the net model is deterministic? This work provides answers to these two questions above. The subject of this paper is a continuation of the author's earlier research on generalized fuzzy Petri nets based on triangular norms. The impact of the covid pandemic and the chip crisis on industrial production are just a few examples that emphasize the complex and volatile environment production systems must cope with. Especially operational scheduling tasks intensely suffer from these influences due to increased complexity in decision-making as well as frequent rescheduling activities. At the same time, they highly affect production-related key performance indicators such as lead time or resource utilization. As several publications have already shown, applying innovative and data-based methods from the field of Reinforcement Learning (RL) to complex scheduling tasks provides great potential to handle the challenges arising from a complex and volatile environment. The building blocks of an RL approach strongly depend on a company's individual task specifications and optimization goals. Yet, a methodology that considers these specifications for the design of RL approaches in production scheduling has not been introduced, preventing the transfer from laboratory examples to wide-ranging industry applications. To address this research gap, this paper aims to provide a conceptual methodology to generate RL solutions depending on the scheduling tasks and objectives. The methodology proposed in this paper consists of four central modules that constitute the building blocks of an RL solution. The first module derives the action space for the RL approach based on the underlying scheduling tasks. The second module constructs the reward function of the RL approach based on a company's individual scheduling targets. The third module derives the state vector from the components of the reward function. The last module selects an appropriate optimization algorithm for the RL approach and merges the previous modules to learn an optimal scheduling policy in a simulation environment that can be applied to real-world problems. The 5 G networks are effectively deployed worldwide, and academia and industries have begun looking at 6 G network communication technology for consumer electronics applications. 6 G will be built on pervasive artificial intelligence (AI) to enable data-driven Machine Learning (ML) applications in massively scalable and heterogeneous networks. Conventional ML technique involves centralizing train data in data centers where centralized ML algorithms can be employed for data inference and analysis. The data inference and analysis are frequently inconvenient or impracticable for the devices to submit information to the preset sever because of privacy concerns and inadequate communication capabilities in wireless networks. However, privacy limitations and restrictions in wireless network communication capacity are frequently impractical or undesirable for the devices to acquiesce data to the parameter server. Federated learning (FL) enables the devices to train a practical and standard model while needing data exchange and transfer, which might solve these issues. This paper presents an overview of FL, 6 G, and FL enables 6 G communication technology. In particular, 6 G requirements and applications, and the proposed FL framework algorithm with evaluation are described. The significant advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has led to the gradual emergence of intelligent adaptive learning as a pivotal modality for acquiring knowledge. The knowledge graph, as a crucial component of the intelligent adaptive learning model, assumes the vital responsibility of guiding and facilitating the learning process while evaluating its outcomes. The current knowledge graph, however, presents several challenges including fragmented knowledge content, inadequate ability characterization, and limited automatic construction capabilities, which hinder its effectiveness in assisting learners to achieve their learning objectives. The paper proposes the knowledge-resource-objective (KRO) model of knowledge graph, based on a robust correlation between knowledge, learning resources, and learning objectives. In the KRO model, Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) is utilized for data pre-processing. Protége is employed for ontology construction. Entities and relations are synchronously annotated using the Main-Entity+ Relation +Begin-Inside-End-Single-Other (ME+R+BIESO) corpus labeling model to complete the triplet construction. Additionally, entities and relations are extracted synchronously utilizing a Bi-directional Long-Short Term Memory-Conditional Random Field (BiLSTM-CRF) model. Knowledge visualization and reasoning are achieved through Neo4j graph database. The study employs the Letter of Credit as a case study to examine the application of the KRO model, and assesses its efficacy through metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The research demonstrates that the KRO model effectively targets learning objectives, restructures knowledge and resources, optimizes learning pathways, provides recommendations for learning resources, and visualizes learners' cognitive states. As a result, it enhances the effectiveness of intelligent adaptive learning. The subsequent research will continue to focus on the visual representation of learners' learning progress and explore the practical application of learners' profiles in diverse disciplines, aiming to facilitate the realization of personalized learning for individuals. Flying ad hoc networks (FANETs) tackle diverse challenges, for example, dynamic topological structure, high mobility of nodes, low density, and energy restrictions. These challenges make problems in designing reliable and stable routing in FANETs. Hence, the design of a routing algorithm is essential for transferring data between drones. In this paper, an energy-aware routing scheme based on a virtual relay tunnel (EARVRT) is proposed in flying ad hoc networks. EARVRT includes a virtual relay tunnel (VRT) that manages relay nodes in the route discovery process and lowers network overhead. Moreover, three metrics, namely route energy, hop counts, and a new metric called path correlation are regarded in the path selection operation. Note that correlation is defined with regard to two scales, including the cosine similarity of two nodes and their distance. EARVRT is evaluated according to delay, network longevity, consumed energy, and packet delivery rate. Then, our scheme is compared with three methods, namely LoCaL, O-LAR, and PSO-GLFR. The purpose of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to assess the quality and diagnostic accuracy of MRI-based radiomics for predicting Ki-67 expression in breast cancer. A systematic literature search was performed to find relevant studies published in different databases, including PubMed, Web of Science, and Embase up until March 10, 2023. All papers were independently evaluated for eligibility by two reviewers. Studies that matched research questions and provided sufficient data for quantitative synthesis were included in the systematic review and meta-analysis, respectively. The quality of the articles was assessed using Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies 2 (QUADAS-2) and Radiomics Quality Score (RQS) tools. The predictive value of MRI-based radiomics for Ki-67 antigen in patients with breast cancer was assessed using pooled sensitivity (SEN), specificity, and area under the curve (AUC). Meta-regression was performed to explore the cause of heterogeneity. Different covariates were used for subgroup analysis. 31 studies were included in the systematic review; among them, 21 reported sufficient data for meta-analysis. 20 training cohorts and five validation cohorts were pooled separately. The pooled sensitivity, specificity, and AUC of MRI-based radiomics for predicting Ki-67 expression in training cohorts were 0.80 [95% CI, 0.73–0.86], 0.82 [95% CI, 0.78–0.86], and 0.88 [95%CI, 0.85–0.91], respectively. The corresponding values for validation cohorts were 0.81 [95% CI, 0.72–0.87], 0.73 [95% CI, 0.62–0.82], and 0.84 [95%CI, 0.80–0.87], respectively. Based on QUADAS-2, some risks of bias were detected for reference standard and flow and timing domains. However, the quality of the included article was acceptable. The mean RQS score of the included articles was close to 6, corresponding to 16.6% of the maximum possible score. Significant heterogeneity was observed in pooled sensitivity and specificity of training cohorts (I2 > 75%). We found that using deep learning radiomic methods, magnetic field strength (3 T vs. 1.5 T), scanner manufacturer, region of interest structure (2D vs. 3D), route of tissue sampling, Ki-67 cut-off, logistic regression for model construction, and LASSO for feature reduction as well as PyRadiomics software for feature extraction had a great impact on heterogeneity according to our joint model analysis. Diagnostic performance in studies that used deep learning-based radiomics and multiple MRI sequences (e.g., DWI+DCE) was slightly higher. In addition, radiomic features derived from DWI sequences performed better than contrast-enhanced sequences in terms of specificity and sensitivity. No publication bias was found based on Deeks' funnel plot. Sensitivity analysis showed that eliminating every study one by one does not impact overall results. This meta-analysis showed that MRI-based radiomics has a good diagnostic accuracy in differentiating breast cancer patients with high Ki-67 expression from low-expressing groups. However, the sensitivity and specificity of these methods still do not surpass 90%, restricting them from being used as a supplement to current pathological assessments (e.g., biopsy or surgery) to predict Ki-67 expression accurately. • AUCs in both training and validation cohorts were higher than 0.80. • Multiple sequences MRI and deep learning methods improve diagnostic performance. • DWI performed better than contrast-enhanced sequences. • The general quality of the included articles was poor. • Further studies should use independent validation cohorts. The increased internet usage after the pandemic led the UN Forum to improve cybersecurity measures, with zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP) being a viable solution for securing confidential information. ZKP protocols can be demonstrated through the binary puzzle, an NP-complete logic puzzle with four specific constraints. The key contribution of this paper is its successful implementation of the genetic algorithm as a new method to solve the binary puzzle. The optimized fitness function determined the solution at an average of 1.33-2.33 generations for populations ranging from 100 to 500. Ensuring reliable and stable communication links between User Equipment (UE) and serving cellular networks during UE movement is one of the significant difficulties facing the deployment of the Fifth Generation (5G) and Sixth Generation (6G) of cellular networks. Therefore, the Handover Parameters Self-Optimization (HPSO) function has been introduced in modern cellular networks to address mobility management issues. Its main purpose to automatically optimize Handover Control Parameters (HCPs) settings. But the probability of estimating suboptimal HCP settings remains an issue, leading to a critical impact on the network performance. This results in an increase in Handover Probability (HOP), Handover Ping-Pong Probability (HPPP), and Radio Link Failure (RLF). The challenge becomes even more critical with the advent of 5G and 6G in cellular networks, owing to various factors. These factors include the extensive deployment of small base stations and the massive growth of connected devices. Despite the development of several HPSO algorithms, the existing techniques fall short of providing optimal solutions. Furthermore, the issue of suboptimal parameters remains unaddressed. This paper introduces an Artificial Intelligence Multiple Linear Regression (AI-MLR) model as an algorithm for optimizing mobility robustness in 5G cellular networks. The objective of the AI-MLR model is to automatically optimize HCP settings based on network experiences, leveraging the Instantaneous Indication Measure (IIM) Function. The AI-MLR model dynamically and instantly estimates HCP settings for UE by utilizing the IIM function. This function evaluates UE experiences through instantaneous Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio (SINR) levels from both the target and serving base stations. Initially, the UE captures instantaneous measurements of SINR levels, serving as input parameters for the IIM function. The function then produces an output that acts as an indicator for automating the optimization process of the HCP settings. The proposed algorithm undergoes a comprehensive investigation and validation against various benchmark methods found in the literature, encompassing different mobility speed scenarios over a 5 G cellular network. This study involved the development of a simulation model using Matlab software. Performance evaluation utilized a range of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including HOP, HPPP, and RLF. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed solution achieves significant improvements in terms of HOP, HPPP, and RLF under diverse movement speed scenarios, compared to the algorithms examined in the literature.
