Abstract

The palladium-catalyzed decarbonylative Suzuki-Miyaura coupling of amides via selective amide C-N bond cleavage was reported, which afforded mild access to substitute biaryl products in the presence of low catalyst loading with NaHCO3 as the base in good yields within 4 h (29 examples).

Abstract

The palladium-catalyzed Suzuki–Miyaura cross-coupling of N-acyl-5,5-dimethylhydantoins with arylboronic acids has been developed via selective amides C–N bond cleavage. The new reagent is commercially available and air-/moisture-stable, and it offers a variety of ketones in good yields through Suzuki coupling under mild conditions (up to 95%).

Abstract

One-pot synthesis of a variety of amides including sterically hindered amides from primary amides catalyzed by cesium fluoride has been developed for the first time. Primary amides provided sterically hindered amides in good yields (up to 86%), by transamidation, catalyzed by cesium fluoride, after a simple Boc-activation.
