Abstract

Virtual try-on(VTON) aims at fitting target clothes to reference person images, which is widely adopted in e-commerce.Existing VTON approaches can be narrowly categorized into Parser-Based(PB) and Parser-Free(PF) by whether relying on the parser information to mask the persons' clothes and synthesize try-on images. Although abandoning parser information has improved the applicability of PF methods, the ability of detail synthesizing has also been sacrificed. As a result, the distraction from original cloth may persistin synthesized images, especially in complicated postures and high resolution applications. To address the aforementioned issue, we propose a novel PF method named Regional Mask Guided Network(RMGN). More specifically, a regional mask is proposed to explicitly fuse the features of target clothes and reference persons so that the persisted distraction can be eliminated. A posture awareness loss and a multi-level feature extractor are further proposed to handle the complicated postures and synthesize high resolution images. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our proposed RMGN outperforms both state-of-the-art PB and PF methods.Ablation studies further verify the effectiveness ofmodules in RMGN., Comment: Accepted by IJCAI2022

Abstract

Photochromic materials have shown a wide range of applications. However, the development of new photochromic materials is still a great challenge. In this work, a photochromic functional ligand, 9,10-bis(di(pyridine-4-yl)methylene)-9,10-dihydroanthracene (L), was selected to construct a photochromic LMOF, [Ni2L(OBA)2(H2O)1.5·3.5i-PrOH]n (1) (LMOF = luminescent metal–organic framework; H2OBA = 4,4′-oxybisbenzoic acid; i-PrOH = isopropanol). 1 is composed of 4-connected Ni2+, 4-connected L and OBA2− bridges and exhibits a rare three-dimensional (3D) (4,4)-connected self-interpenetrated architecture and excellent water, pH and thermal stabilities. 1 and 1′ (1 after photochromism) can sense MnO4− in H2O by luminescence quenching effects. More importantly, this material after photochromism exhibits ultrahigh sensitivity for detecting MnO4− (the second highest Ksv of 6.11 × 105 M−1 and the nearly lowest LOD of 3.96 × 10−8 M) and can very efficiently recognize MnO4−. 14. Long non-coding RNA LINC02446 suppresses the proliferation and metastasis of bladder cancer cells by binding with EIF3G and regulating the mTOR signalling pathway

Abstract

Accumulating evidence has been obtained to understand the mechanisms of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in bladder cancer (BC). However, due to the recurrence and metastasis of BC, searching for lncRNAs that are related to prognosis and metastasis and exploring the pathogenesis of BC might provide new insights for the treatment of BC. In the present study, we used the TCGA and GEO databases and identified LINC02446 as associated with prognosis and differentially expressed in bladder cancer tissues and para-cancer tissues. Then, we found that LINC02446 could affect the proliferation, migration and invasion of BC cells. Additionally, we found that LINC02446 could bind to the EIF3G protein and regulate the protein stability of EIF3G and then inhibit the mTOR signalling pathway. In summary, all these findings show that LINC02446 might serve as a promising therapeutic target for BC intervention.

21. Dietary Methionine Requirements of Pacific White Shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei, of Three Different Sizes

Abstract

Three feeding trials were conducted to determine the dietary methionine requirements for Litopenaeus vannamei of three different sizes, small (0.55±0.01g), medium (4.18±0.05g), and large (9.77±0.08g). Seven diets were formulated with seven different levels of methionine (0, 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.3%, 0.4%, 0.5%, or 0.6%). The greatest weight gain (WG) and specific growth rate (SGR) of small and large shrimp were observed when dietary methionine levels were 0.8%, and 0.71%, respectively (P<0.05). The highest survival rate of small and large shrimp was observed when dietary methionine levels were 0.97%, and 1.07%, respectively (P<0.05). For small and medium shrimp, the optimal dietary methionine level for maximum weight gain estimated by quadratic regression analysis was 0.91% and 0.67% of dry diet, respectively. For large shrimp, the optimal dietary methionine requirement estimated by broken-line model based on weight gain was 0.66% of dry diet.
