This paper examines the impact of the policy on eliminating the ratio of foreign shareholding in banks in a mixed oligopoly model. Its analytic results show that state-owned banks should encourage privatisation along with an increasing proportion of the domestic share in multinational banks. Furthermore, we argue that the increase in domestic stockholding of multinational banks raises domestic private firms' profits but decreases their social welfare in the deposit market. The results of numerical simulation show that when the quantity of private banks is fixed, foreign banks tend to enlarge their stake and strengthen their controlling power. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: Liver disease causes significant morbidity and mortality worldwide. Liver imaging plays an essential role in the noninvasive liver disease evaluation because of the limitation of liver biopsy. This paper aims to image in vivo liver with thermoacoustic imaging (TAI) and demonstrate this liver imaging technique with a cross‐validation method. Methods: The imaging system composed of a large aperture antenna and a flexible transducer array was used, and we performed the position calibration using the delay and sum algorithm. The localization wire was utilized in the cross‐validation of in vivo liver TAI. Results: We successfully validated in vivo liver TAI. In vivo images of different liver lobes without labels were observed. The imaging depth reached about 4 cm. Conclusions: TAI has the potential to image the liver and provide useful dielectric properties of the liver tissue. Age-related cancers are characterized by impaired protein homeostasis, where Kelch protein superfamily members have showed accumulating clues as critical regulators. In this paper, the cancerous role of Kelch-like family member 23 (KLHL23) was comprehensively analyzed with TCGA and single cell GEO database across overall 33 cancer types. By multi-omics analysis upon the transcriptomic, genomic, and methylation data, the current study explored the association of KLHL23 with patient survival, gene ontology, tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes, and drug responses. The correlation of copy number variations and methylation with dysregulated expression of KLHL23 were also addressed. Notably, KLHL23 levels correlated with survival in cancers such as hepatocellular carcinoma and low-grade glioma. The study also highlighted how reduced KLHL23 expression is linked to increased immune activity and sensitivity to chemotherapy, suggesting its potential as a biomarker for cancer prognosis and treatment responsiveness.
