Currently, the genus Paracoccus comprises 76 recognized species. Members of Paracoccus are mostly isolated from environmental, animal, and plant sources. This report describes and proposes a novel species of Paracoccus isolated from clinical specimens of the human ocular surface. We isolated two aerobic, Gram-stain-negative, non-spore-forming, coccoid or short rod-shaped, and non-motile strains (designated DK398T and DK608) from conjunctival sac swabs of two healthy volunteers. The results showed that the strains grew best under the conditions of 28°C, pH 7.0, and 1.0 % (w/v) NaCl. Sequence analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene showed that strains DK398T and DK608 were members of Paracoccus , most similar to Paracoccus laeviglucosivorans 43PT (98.54 and 98.62 %), Paracoccus litorisediminis GHD-05T (98.34 and 98.41 %), and Paracoccus limmosus NB88T (98.21 and 98.29 %). Phenotypic analysis showed that DK398T and DK608 were positive for catalase and oxidase, negative for producing N-acetyl-β-glucosaminic acid, arginine dihydrolase, and β-glucuronidase but positive for leucine arylamidase. The predominant isoprenoid quinone was Q-10, and the major polar lipids included phosphatidylethanolamine, diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylcholine, and an unidentified glycolipid. The major fatty acids (>10%) were summed feature 8 (C18 : 1 ω7c and/or C18 : 1 ω6c) and C16 : 0. The meso-diaminopimelic acid was found in the cell wall peptidoglycan of DK398T. The major cell wall sugars were ribose and galactose. Based on the results of phylogenetic analyses, low ( %) average nucleotide identity, digital DNA–DNA hybridization (T represents a novel species of the genus Paracoccus , for which the name Paracoccus shanxieyensis sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is DK398T (=CGMCC 1.17227T=JCM 33719T).

Six novel bacterial strains, designated CY22T, CY357, LJ419T, LJ53, CY399T and CY107 were isolated from soil samples collected from the Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau, PR China. Cells were aerobic, rod-shaped, yellow-pigmented, catalase- and oxidase-positive, Gram-stain-negative, non-motile and non-spore-forming. All strains were psychrotolerant and could grow at 0 °C. The results of phylogenetic and phylogenomic analyses, based on 16S rRNA gene sequences and core genomic genes, indicated that the three strain pairs (CY22T/CY357, LJ419T/LJ53 and CY399T/CY107) were closely related to members of the genus Dyadobacter and clustered tightly with two species with validly published names, Dyadobacter alkalitolerans 12116T and Dyadobacter psychrophilus BZ26T. Values of digital DNA–DNA hybridization between genome sequences of the isolates and other strains from the GenBank database in the genus Dyadobacter were far below the 70.0 % threshold. The genomic DNA G+C content of these six strains ranged from 45.2 to 45.8 %. The major cellular fatty acids of all six strains were iso-C15 : 0 and summed feature 3 (comprising C16 : 1 ω7c and/or C16 : 1 ω6c). MK-7 was the only respiratory quinone, and phosphatidylethanolamine was the predominant polar lipid for strains CY22T, LJ419T and CY399T. On the basis of the phenotypic, phylogenetic and genomic evidence presented, these six strains represent three novel members of the genus Dyadobacter , for which the names Dyadobacter chenhuakuii sp. nov., Dyadobacter chenwenxiniae sp. nov. and Dyadobacter fanqingshengii sp. nov. are proposed. The type strains are CY22T (= GDMCC 1.3045T = KCTC 92299T), LJ419T (= GDMCC 1.2872T = JCM 33794T) and CY399T (= GDMCC 1.3052T = KCTC 92306T), respectively.

Objectives Pro-, pre-, and synbiotic supplements improve cardiovascular risk factors. However, the association between nonfood pro-, pre-, and synbiotics and long-term all-cause and cardiovascular mortality have not been studied. Thus, our objective was to determine the impact of nonfood pro-, pre-, and synbiotics to all-cause and cardiovascular mortality. Design, setting, and participants: A retrospective, cohort study of 4837 nationally representative American participants aged 65 years or older with a median follow-up duration of 77 months. Measurements: all-cause and cardiovascular mortality. Results A total of 1556 participants died during the median 77 months follow-up, and 517 died from cardiovascular disease. Compared with participants without nonfood pro-, pre-, and synbiotics use, nonfood pro-, pre-, and synbiotics use reduces nearly 41% risk of all-cause mortality (hazard ratio 0.59, 95%CI 0.43 to 0.79) and 52% risk of cardiovascular mortality (HR 0.48, 95%CI 0.30 to 0.76). Such an effect persists in most subgroup analysis and complete-case analysis. Conclusion and relevance: In this study, we found a protective effect of NPPS for all-cause and cardiovascular mortality in Americans aged 65 years or older. Nonfood pro-, pre-, and synbiotics can be a novel, inexpensive, low-risk treatment addition for all-cause and cardiovascular mortality for older individuals.

The market power and competition scenario of recycling enterprises and landfills may change in the future due to the environmental pressure caused by landfills and the environmental potential of construction and demolition waste (C&DW) recycling. In this context, how these changes will affect the economic performance of enterprises and the environmental performance of the whole society remains unclear, along with how the willingness to pay and the environmental awareness of contractors will affect the pricing decisions of recycling enterprises and landfills. This study investigates the charging and recycling problem under different power structures in the reverse supply chain of C&DW, which is composed of waste generators (construction contractors) and two disposers (recycling enterprises and landfills). The interactive decisions of three stakeholders are discussed and the optimal charge fee, profit, and recycling ratio are obtained. Results indicate the following (i) The environmental preference of contractors directly increases the charge fee of recycling enterprises, and indirectly increases the charge fee of landfills. (ii) An increase in contractors' environmental preference will reduce the recycling ratio of C&DW and increase landfill and illegal dumping ratios. (iii) From the perspective of environmental benefits, illegal dumping and recycling ratios experience the worst scenario in the Recycling-Stackelberg game model and the best scenario in Nash game model because recycling enterprises take advantage of their dominant market position and set higher charges than those that contractors can afford. This theoretical study bridges the research gap on the effects of the market power on the environmental and economic performance of stakeholders in the field of C&DW management. The findings also help policy makers understand the behavior of stakeholders under different power structures to formulate the most effective intervention strategies.

Bounded rationality of decision-makers and interaction among criteria plays a key role in the actual multi-criteria group decision-making (MCGDM) process. This paper aims to offer a decision approach to a MCGDM problem under hesitant fuzzy linguistic (HFL) uncertainty, by means of behavioral multigranulation decision-theoretic rough set (DTRS), where criteria interaction is handled by Choquet integral, and decision-makers’ psychological preferences are considered by prospect theory. In specific, we firstly define the behavioral DTRS over two universes, where the threshold parameters are obtained by maximizing expected utility, rather than minimizing expected risk. Then, from the perspective of the difference of alternatives, we develop the calculation methods of loss and benefit functions, and provide the determination of the overall threshold parameters by Choquet integral, in consideration of criteria interaction. With these discussions, the behavioral multigranulation DTRS over two universes in the HFL context is proposed, and the two special cases, i.e., optimistic and pessimistic versions are also discussed. Thus, solutions to a MCGDM issue, green supplier selection, by utilizing the proposed behavioral multigranulation HFL DTRS over two universes, are designed, along with key steps and algorithm. Ultimately, an illustrative example is given to elaborate the practicability and feasibility of our presented model.

Four novel strains (592T, S592, MF47T and SMF47) were isolated from Tibetan antelopes (Pantholops hodgsonii) and plateau pikas (Ochotona curzoniae), respectively. The cells were aerobic, non-motile, Gram-stain- and catalase-positive, rod-shaped bacteria. The 16S rRNA gene sequences of the four strains showed highest similarities to Aeromicrobium fastidiosum DSM 10552T (98.1, 98.6, 98.7 and 98.7 %, respectively), and the phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA gene and genomic sequences indicated that strains 592T and MF47T represent two novel species. The four isolates produced acid from l-rhamnose, d-xylose and cellobiose, but were unable to reduce nitrate. The DNA G+C contents of strains 592T and MF47T were 70.3 and 69.8 mol%, respectively. The digital DNA–DNA hybridization value between strains 592T and MF47T was 32.6 %, lower than the threshold of 70 %, indicating they belong to different species. The four strains’ genomes displayed less than 24.6 % DNA–DNA relatedness with all available genomes of the genus Aeromicrobium in the NCBI database, including Aeromicrobium fastidiosum NBRC 14897T and Aeromicrobium ginsengisoli JCM 14732T. The major fatty acids of the four strains were C18 : 1 ω9c and C18 : 0 10-methyl, and the main polar lipids were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol and phosphatidylinositol. The predominant respiratory quinones were MK-9(H4) and MK-8(H4). The cell-wall peptidoglycan contained ll-diaminopimelic acid. Based on these genotypic, phenotypic and biochemical analyses, it is proposed that the four unidentified bacteria be classified as two novel species, Aeromicrobium chenweiae sp. nov. and Aeromicrobium yanjiei sp. nov. The type strains are 592T (=CGMCC1.16526T=DSM 106289T) and MF47T (=CGMCC 1.17444T=JCM 33790T), respectively.

Two novel Gram-stain-positive, irregular rod-shaped actinomycetes, S-1144T and 4053, were isolated from leaves of Lamiophlomis rotata on the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau, PR China. Cells were aerobic, catalase-positive and oxidase-negative. Colonies on Reasoner’s 2A agar were light yellow, circular, shiny, smooth and convex after 2 days of incubation. The isolates grew optimally at 25 °C, pH 7.5 and with 0 % (w/v) NaCl. The results of polyphasic analyses indicated that strain S-1144T belonged to the genus Nocardioides and its close phylogenetic neighbours (16S rRNA gene sequence similarity) were Nocardioides litoris DSM 103718T (98.4 %), Nocardioides rubriscoriae DSM 23986T (98.2%) and Nocardioides plantarum DSM 11054T (97.8 %). The genome of strain S-1144T showed less than 70 % digital DNA–DNA hybridization and < 95–96 % average nucleotide identity values to the above reference strains. The DNA G+C content of strain S-1144T was 73.5 mol%. MK-8(H4) was the predominant respiratory quinone (96.0 %) and llLL-2,6-diaminopimelic acid was the diagnostic diamino acid in the cell-wall peptidoglycan. The polar lipid profile of strain S-1144T consisted of diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, three unidentified phospholipids, one unidentified glycolipid and one unidentified lipid. The major cellular fatty acids were iso-C16 : 0, C17 : 1 ω8c, C17 : 0 and C18 : 1 ω9c. On the basis of obtained data, strain S-1144T represented a novel species of the genus Nocardioides , for which the name Nocardioides dongxiaopingii sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is S-1144T (=CGMCC 4.7568T=JCM 33469T).

Two Gram-staining-positive, catalase-positive, oxidase-negative, aerobic, non-motile, irregular rod-shaped bacterial strains (Z350T and Z527) were isolated from intestinal contents of plateau pika (Ochotona curzoniae) from the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau, PR China. Results of phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that strain Z350T belongs to the genus Mumia (family Nocardioidaceae ) but clearly differs from the currently recognized species Mumia xiangluensis DSM 101040T (98.4 % similarity) and Mumia flava DSM 27763T (97.4 %). Strain Z350T had a DNA G+C content of 70.7 mol% and shared 80.4 and 76.7 % average nucleotide identity values and 23.4 and 20.6 % in silico DNA–DNA hybridization relatedness with M. xiangluensis DSM 101040T and M. flava DSM 27763T, respectively. Further phylogenetic analyses based on 497 core genes indicated that our isolates were members of the genus Mumia but separated from all existing genera within the family Nocardioidaceae . The major cellular fatty acids were C18 : 1 ω9c and 10-methyl C18 : 0. The cell wall contained ll-diaminopimelic acid as the diamino acid, and rhamnose, ribose and glucose as whole cell-wall sugars. MK-9(H4) was detected as the major menaquinone. Polar lipids present were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylinositol, phosphatidylinositol mannoside and one unidentified phospholipid. Based on distinct differences in the genotypic and phenotypic data from the two Mumia species, a novel species, Mumia zhuanghuii sp. nov., is proposed. The type strain is Z350T (=CGMCC 4.7464T=DSM 106288T).

Four novel bacterial strains, designated Z294T, Z311, Z443T and Z446, were isolated from the intestinal contents of plateau pika (Ochotona curzoniae) on the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau of China. Cells were Gram-stain-positive, catalase-positive, oxidase-negative, aerobic, non-motile and short-rod shaped. Phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that the four isolates belong to the genus Georgenia , but clearly separate from the currently recognized species. Both type strains (Z294T and Z443T) shared low 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity, digital DNA–DNA hybridization relatedness and average nucleotide identity values with Georginia satyanarayanai NBRC 107612T, G. subflava JCM 19765T, G. ruanii JCM 15130T and G. thermotolerans DSM 21501T and against each other. The genomic DNA G+C contents of strains Z294T and Z443T were 73.3 and 70 %, respectively. The major cellular fatty acids of strain Z294T were anteiso-C15 : 0, anteiso-C15 : 1 A and C16 : 0, in contrast to anteiso-C15 : 0 and anteiso-C15 : 1 A for strain Z443T. Both type strains (Z294T and Z443T) shared the following common features: glucose, rhamnose and ribose as cell-wall sugars; MK-8(H4) as major menaquinone; alanine, glutamic acid and lysine as cell-wall amino acids; and diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylinositol, phosphatidylinositol mannoside and one unidentified phosphoglycolipid as polar lipids. Comparing the phenotypic and phylogenetic features among the four strains and their related organisms, strains Z294T and Z443T represent two novel species within the genus Georgenia , for which the names Georgenia wutianyii sp. nov. (type strain Z294T=CGMCC 1.16428T=DSM 106344T) and Georgenia yuyongxinii sp. nov. (type strain Z443T=CGMCC 1.16435T=DSM 106174T) are proposed.

Two aerobic, Gram-stain-positive, catalase-positive, non-motile and rod-shaped bacterial strains, designated MF30-AT and MF845, were isolated from the intestinal contents of plateau pika collected from the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau. Optimal growth of these two strains was observed under aerobic conditions at pH 7.0 and 28 °C. The 16S rRNA gene sequences of the isolates had highest similarities of 98.5 and 98.4 % to Agromyces fucosus , respectively. In the 16S rRNA gene and polygenetic trees, strains MF30-AT and MF845 were clearly distinct from other species. The two strains could not produce acid from arbutin, d-fructose, D-sucrose, glycogen, salicin or starch. Production of β-glucosidase by these strains was negative. The major fatty acids of these strains were anteiso-C15 : 0, anteiso-C17 : 0 and iso-C16 : 0. Strain MF30-AT contained galactose, rhamnose and ribose as cell wall sugars and MK-12 and MK-11 as predominant menaquinones. The major polar lipids in strain MF30-AT were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol and a glycolipid, while the peptidoglycan contained alanine, glutamic acid, glycine and 2,4-diaminobutyric acid. The G+C contents of the DNA of strains MF30-AT and MF845 were 69.8 mol% and 69.7 mol%, respectively. The average nucleotide identity and digital DNA–DNA relatedness values of the two strains with all available genomes of the genus Agromyces were far below the respective thresholds of 95 and 70 %, respectively. All genotypic and phenotypic data indicated that strains MF30-AT and MF845 should be classified as novel members of the genus Agromyces , for which the name Agromyces badenianii sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is MF30-AT (=CGMCC 1.16469T=DSM 106183T).

The aim of this study is to generalize moving average by means of Choquet integral. First, by employing nonadditive measures with δ − λ rules, the calculation of the moving average for a series of fuzzy numbers can be transformed into Choquet integration of fuzzy-number-valued function under discrete case. Meanwhile, the Choquet integral of fuzzy number and Choquet integral of fuzzy number vector are defined. Finally, some properties are investigated by means of convolution formula of Choquet integral. It shows that the results obtained in this paper extend the previous conclusions.

Two strains of Gram-stain-positive, aerobic, non-spore-forming, non-motile, rod-shaped bacteria (designated dk512T and dk508) were isolated from the faeces of Tibetan gazelle (Procapra picticaudata) collected from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, PR China. The 16S rRNA gene sequences of the strains showed the highest identity to Microbacterium saccharophilum K-1T (98.0 and 97.9 % similarity, respectively). The phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that dk512T and dk508 were members of the genus Microbacterium , and most closely related to strains Microbacterium mitrae M4-8T and Microbacterium hatanonis FCC-01T. The strains grew optimally on brain-heart infusion (BHI) agar with 5.0 % (v/v) sheep blood at 30 °C, pH 7.0 and with 1.0 % (w/v) NaCl. The genome of type strain dk512T was 3.8 Mb with a G+C content of 70.6 mol%. The average nucleotide identity and digital DNA–DNA hybridization values between strain dk512T and previously characterized Microbacterium species were T, the detected primary cellular fatty acids were anteiso-C15 : 0 and anteiso-C17 : 0, the main respiratory quinones were MK-9 (37.9 %) and MK-10 (35.7 %), and the polar lipids included diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol and three unidentified glycolipids. The major cell-wall sugars were rhamnose, ribose and galactose. Alanine, glutamic acid, glycine and ornithine were in the cell-wall peptidoglycan. Based on phenotypic data and phylogenetic inference, these two strains represent a novel species of the genus Microbacterium , named here as Microbacterium wangchenii sp. nov, where dk512T is designated the type strain (=CGMCC 1.16590T=JCM 33494T=KCTC 49313T).

Two strains, designated 2251T and 3058, that were aerobic, Gram-stain-negative, non-motile, coccoid or short rod-shaped bacilli, have recently been isolated from Tibetan antelopes on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The results of phylogenetic analyses of 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that strains 2251T and 3058 represent a new species within the genus Paracoccus and are most similar to ‘ Paracoccus gahaiensis ’ CUG00006T (98.9 and 99.3 %), Paracoccus nototheniae I-41R45T (98.3 and 98.7 %) and Paracoccus hibiscisoli THG-T2.31T (97.6 and 97.8 %). Results of genomic sequence-based phylogenomic analysis agreed with those from 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. Optimal growth was achieved at pH 7.0–7.5 and 28 °C with marine medium. Cells contained C18 : 1 ω7c as the major cellular fatty acid and ubiquinone-10 as the predominant menaquinone. The polar lipids comprised phosphatidylethanolamine, diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phospholipid, glycolipid and an unidentified lipid. The cell-wall peptidoglycan amino acids were meso-2,6-diaminopimelic acid, alanine and glutamic acid; the major cell-wall sugar was galactose. The G+C content of strain 2251T was 66.5 mol%. Both strains (2251T and 3058) had DNA–DNA relatedness values less than 50 % with all available genomes of the genus Paracoccus in the ncbi database. Differential genotypic inferences, together with phenotypic and biochemical characteristics, demonstrated that strains 2251T and 3058 should be classified as a novel species of the genus Paracoccus , for which the name Paracoccus liaowanqingii sp. nov. is suggested. The type strain is 2251T (=CGMCC 1.16490T=DSM 106269T).

Two strains (S-1072T and 1626) of Gram-stain-negative, oxidase- and catalase-positive, aerobic, rod-shaped, motile bacteria with a single polar flagellum, were isolated from the leaves of Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) on the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau of China. The cells grew optimally at 28 °C, pH 7.0 and with 0.5 % (w/v) NaCl on brain–heart infusion agar. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strains S-1072T and 1626 belong to the genus Luteimonas , sharing the highest similarity with Luteimonas arsenica CCTCC AB 2014326T (97.0 %), Luteimonas terricola CGMCC 1.8985T (96.9 %) and Luteimonas aestuarii KCTC 22048T (96.6 %). The phylogenomic tree indicated that strains S-1072T and 1626 were most closely related to Luteimonas abyssi CGMCC 1.12611T. The biochemical characteristics revealed that strains S-1072T and 1626 could neither produce trypsin nor produce acid from d-glucose, N-acetylglucosamine and maltose, distinguishing them from four closest relatives. The DNA G+C contents of strains S-1072T and 1626 were 69.2 and 69.3 mol% respectively. The digital DNA–DNA hybridization values of our isolates with their four closely related species were below the 70 % threshold. The predominant menaquinone was Q-8 (98.7 %) and the major polar lipids included diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol and phosphatidylethanolamine. The major fatty acids (>10 %) were iso-C15 : 0, iso-C16 : 0 and summed feature 9 (10-methyl C16 : 0 and/or iso-C17 : 1 ω9c). Based on the data obtained, strains S-1072T and 1626 should be classified as a novel species of the genus Luteimonas , for which the name Luteimonas yindakuii sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is S-1072T (=CGMCC 1.13927T=JCM 33487T).

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to propose a three-way group decision-making approach to address the selection of green supplier, by extending decision-theoretic rough set (DTRS) into hesitant fuzzy linguistic (HFL) environment, considering the flexible evaluation expression format of HFL term set (HFLTS) and the idea of minimum expected risk in DTRS. Design/methodology/approach Specifically, the authors first present the calculation method of the conditional probability and discuss the loss functions of DTRS with HFL element (HFLE), along with some associated properties being investigated in detail. Further, three-way group decisions rules can be deduced, followed by the cost of every green supplier candidate. Thus, based on these discussions, a novel green supplier selection DTRS model that combines multi-criteria group decision-making (MCGDM) and HFLTS is designed. Findings A numerical example of green supplier selection, the comparative analysis and associated discussions are conducted to illustrate the applicability and novelty of the presented model. Practical implications The selection of green supplier has played a critically strategic role in sustainable enterprise development due to continuous environmental concerns. This paper offers an insight for companies to select green supplier selection from the perspective of three-way group decisions. Originality/value This paper uses three-way decisions to address green supplier selection in the HFL context, which is considered as a MCGDM issue.

Six novel strains (ZJ34T, ZJ561, ZJ750T, ZJ1629, zg-993T and zg-987) isolated from faeces and respiratory tracts of Marmota himalayana from the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau of PR China were characterized comprehensively. The results of analyses of the 16S rRNA gene and genome sequences indicated that the six strains represent three novel species of the genus Actinomyces , and are closely related to Actinomyces urogenitalis DSM 15434T (16S rRNA gene sequences similarities, 94.9–98.7 %), Actinomyces weissii CCUG 61299T (95.6–96.6 %), Actinomyces bovis CCTCC AB2010168T (95.7 %) and Actinomyces bowdenii DSM 15435T (95.2–96.4 %), with values of digital DNA–DNA hybridization less than 30.1 % when compared with their closest relatives but higher than 70 % within each pair of novel strains (ZJ34T/ZJ561, ZJ750T/ZJ1629 and zg-993T/zg-987). All the novel strains had C18 : 1 ω9c and C16 : 0 as the two most abundant major fatty acids. MK-9(H4) or MK-8(H4) was the sole or predominant respiratory quinone of strains ZJ34T, ZJ750T and zg-993T and their polar lipid profiles differed, but all had diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylinositol, and phosphatidyl inositol mannoside as major components. ZJ750T shared identical peptidoglycan amino acid profile with ZJ34T (alanine, glutamic acid, lysine and ornithine) and the same whole-cell sugar composition with zg-993T (glucose, rhamnose and ribose). Strain zg-993T contained alanine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, glycine and lysine in the peptidoglycan, and the only sugar in ZJ34T was ribose. The DNA G+C contents of the novel strains were within the range of 65.8–70.1 mol%. On the basis of the results from the aforementioned analyses, the six novel strains were classified as representing three novel species of genus Actinomyces , for which the names Actinomyces faecalis sp. nov. [type strain ZJ34T (=GDMCC 1.1952T=JCM 34355T)], Actinomyces respiraculi sp. nov. [type strain ZJ750T (=GDMCC 1.1950T=JCM 34356T)] and Actinomyces trachealis sp. nov. [type strain zg-993T (=GDMCC 1.1956T=JCM 34357T)] were proposed, respectively.

Six novel strains (ZJ34

Two novel, Gram-stain-positive, non-motile, facultatively anaerobic, rod-shaped bacteria (strains 2129T and 2119) were isolated from the faeces of Tibetan antelopes (Pantholops hodgsonii) on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, PR China. The 16S rRNA gene sequences of the strains showed highest similarity values to Actinomyces timonensis DSM 23838T (92.9 and 92.8 %, respectively), and phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene and genomic sequences indicated that strains 2129T and 2119 represent a new lineage. Strains 2129T and 2119 could ferment d-adonitol and d-xylose, but were unable to utilize d-mannose and d-melibiose nor produce esterase (C4) and proline arylamidase. The G+C contents of the two strains were both 69.0 mol%. Their genomes exhibited less than 40.4 % relatedness in DNA-DNA hybridization tests (below 70 % as the recommended threshold for new species) with all available genomes of the genus Actinomyces in the NCBI database. The major fatty acids of the two strains were C18 : 1ω9c and C16 : 0, and the major polar lipids were diphosphatidylglycerol, glycolipid, phosphatidylinositol, phosphatidyl inositol mannoside and phosphoglycolipid. Based on the results of genotypic, phenotypic and biochemical analyses, it is proposed that the two unidentified bacteria be classified as representing a novel species, Actinomyces lilanjuaniae sp. nov. The type strain is 2129T (=CGMCC 4.7483T=DSM 106426T).

Two Gram-stain-positive, irregular rod-shaped (0.2–0.5×1.3–2.5 um) strains, HY056T and HY057, were isolated from the faeces of Equus kiang (the largest of the wild asses) collected at different regions from the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau of PR China. Phylogenetic analyses indicated that strains HY056T and HY057 belong to the genus Nocardioides by sharing a similarity ranging from 96.3 to 97.0 % in the 16S rRNA gene sequence and forming a distinct cluster with Nocardioides daphniae JCM 16608T, Nocardioides houyundeii 78T, Nocardioides solisilvae Ka25T and Nocardioides gilvus XZ17T. The digital DNA–DNA hybridization value of strain HY056T was 96.9 % with strain HY057, but less than 30.0 % with the above four closest relatives. MK-8(H4) was the predominant (91.6 %) respiratory quinone. The cell wall contained ll-2,6-diaminopimelic acid as the diamino acid of the peptidoglycan. The polar lipids comprised diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylinositol and phospholipid. The predominant fatty acids (>10.0 %) were C18 : 1ω9c and iso-C16:0. The DNA G+C contents of strains HY056T and HY057 were 68.9 and 69.1 mol%, respectively. β-Glucosidase expression was positive, and acid was produced from d-fructose. Strain HY056T (=CGMCC 4.7563T=JCM 33399T) is assigned as the type strain of a novel species within the genus Nocardioides , for which the name Nocardioides yefusunii sp. nov is proposed.

For the first time, ZrC–ZrB2–SiC ceramic nanocomposites were successfully prepared by a single-source-precursor route, with allylhydridopolycarbosilane (AHPCS), triethylamine borane (TEAB), and bis(cyclopentadienyl) zirconium dichloride (Cp2ZrCl2) as starting materials. The polymer-to-ceramic transformation and thermal behavior of obtained single-source precursor were characterized by means of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA). The results show that the precursor possesses a high ceramic yield about 85% at 1000 °C. The phase composition and microstructure of formed ZrC–ZrB2–SiC ceramics were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). Meanwhile, the weight loss and chemical composition of the resultant ZrC–ZrB2–SiC nanocomposites were investigated after annealing at high temperature up to 1800 °C. High temperature behavior with respect to decomposition as well as crystallization shows a promising high temperature stability of the formed ZrC–ZrB2–SiC nanocomposites.

Photovoltaic technology, which converts the sun’s light energy directly into electricity, can be used to make photovoltaic cells. The use of photovoltaic cells is centered on the idea of a low-carbon economy and green environmental protection, which effectively addresses the pollution problem in smart cities. Accurate identification of photovoltaic cell parameters is critical for battery life cycle and energy utilization. To accurately identify the single diode model (SDM), dual diode model (DDM), and three diode model (TDM) parameters of solar photovoltaic cells, and an improved honey badger algorithm (IHBA) is proposed in this paper. In the early stages of iteration, the IHBA uses the spiral exploration mechanism to improve the population’s global exploration ability. Furthermore, a density update factor that varies according to the quasi-cosine law is introduced to speed up the algorithm’s convergence speed and prevent the algorithm from falling into the local optimal value. Simultaneously, the pinhole imaging strategy is utilized to disturb the present optimal position to improve the algorithm’s optimization accuracy. The experimental comparison results of 18 benchmark test functions, Wilcoxon rank sum statistical test, and 30 CEC2014 test functions reveal that an IHBA shows remarkable performance in convergence speed, optimization accuracy, and robustness. Finally, the IHBA is used to identify the parameters of three kinds of commercial silicon R.T.C French solar photovoltaic cell models with a 57 mm diameter. In comparison to other algorithms, the IHBA can minimize the root mean square error (RMSE) between the measured current and estimated current at the fastest speed, demonstrating the practicality and superiority of the IHBA in tackling this problem.

Nck family proteins function as adaptors to couple tyrosine phosphorylation signals to actin cytoskeleton reorganization. Several lines of evidence indicate that Nck family proteins involve in regulating the activity of Rho family GTPases. In the present study, we characterized a novel interaction between Nck-1 with engulfment and cell motility 1 (ELMO1). GST pull-down and co-immunoprecipitation assay demonstrated that the Nck-1-ELMO1 interaction is mediated by the SH2 domain of Nck-1 and the phosphotyrosine residues at position 18, 216, 395, and 511 of ELMO1. A R308K mutant of Nck-1 (in which the SH2 domain was inactive), or a 4YF mutant of ELMO1 lacking these four phosphotyrosine residues, diminished Nck-1-ELMO1 interaction. Conversely, tyrosine phosphatase inhibitor treatment and overexpression of Src family kinase Hck significantly enhanced Nck-1-ELMO1 interaction. Moreover, wild type Nck-1, but not R308K mutant, significantly augmented the interaction between ELMO1 and constitutively active RhoG (RhoG(V12A)), thus promoted Rac1 activation and cell motility. Taken together, the present study characterized a novel Nck-1-ELMO1 interaction and defined a new role for Nck-1 in regulating Rac1 activity.

With the rapid development of science and technology in China, our country is in urgent need of many application-oriented technical personnel with high academic degrees, which promotes the construction of application-oriented universities in China. It is necessary to accelerate the construction of application-oriented university teachers in order to promote the quality of universities better. The construction measures of application-oriented university teachers are studied and analyzed in this paper.

Many advanced reactor designs incorporate the passive systems mainly to enhance their inherent safety. Some reactors even are designed to remove the accidental heat in the containment by an open natural circulation system, without using a mechanical pumps, e.g. HPR1000, APR+. The designs and safety analyses of these reactors are usually carried out by using the best estimate codes, such as the RELAP5, TRAC and CATHARE. These codes have been well validated by the pumped circulation systems and high-pressure natural circulation systems, but the applicabilities to simulate the thermal-hydraulic behaviors of open natural circulation have not been well proven by literatures. In the present study, one of the extensively used best estimate code RELAP5/MOD3.3 was used to simulate the thermal-hydraulic behaviors of an open natural circulation loop (PCCS-TF). The simulation results were validated against the corresponding experimental data performed on the PCCS-TF. The comparison results showed that RELAP5 code can successfully simulate most of the thermal-hydraulic transients, the flow mode distribution and the static characteristics of the open natural circulation system, in view of the simulation results reproduce in good agreements with the experimental data. Moreover, the influences of the structure parameters on the thermal- hydraulic behaviors were also researched, with the help of RELAP5 code to provide the technical supports for the design of the open natural circulation.

Hyperhomocysteinemia (HHcy) has been linked to several clinical manifestations including chronic kidney disease. However, it is not known whether HHcy has a role in the development of acute kidney injury (AKI). In the present study, we reported that HHcy mice developed more severe renal injury after cisplatin injection and ischemia-reperfusion injury shown as more severe renal tubular damage and higher serum creatinine. In response to cisplatin, HHcy mice showed more prevalent tubular cell apoptosis and decreased tubular cell proliferation. Mechanistically, a heightened ER stress and a reduced Akt activity were observed in kidney tissues of HHcy mice after cisplatin injection. Stimulating cultured NRK-52E cells with Hcy significantly increased the fraction of cells in G2/M phase and cell apoptosis together with decreased Akt kinase activity. Akt agonist IGF-1 rescued HHcy-induced cell cycle arrest and cell apoptosis. In conclusion, the present study provides evidence that HHcy increases the sensitivity and severity of AKI.

Objective: To investigate the protective effect and the mechanism of baicalein (Bai) in rats with renal ischemia–reperfusion injury (RIRI). Methods: Twenty-four male Sprague–Dawley rats were divided into three groups: sham, IR, and IR + Bai. The RELAP5/MOD3.2 code was validated experimentally for simulating the condensation heat transfer characteristics inside C-type tubes of the passive residual heat removal heat exchanger. In order to eliminate the effects of the boiling model out of tubes when simulating condensation, the C-type tube condensation simulation, in which the wall temperature was given, was performed using RELAP5/MOD3.2 code. Comparing the simulation results with the experimental data, it is found that the maximum relative deviation between the experimental and calculated condensation heat transfer coefficients exceeds 80% in the range of experimental date, and the change tendency of the average condensation heat transfer coefficient is obviously different with the increase in the outlet condensate Reynolds. RELAP5/MOD3.2 code uses Chato model to calculate the condensation of the horizontal part and uses the Nusselt model to calculate the condensation of the vertical part when simulating the C-type condensation experiment in the range of experimental parameters. The results show that the standard code in RELAP5/MOD3.2 cannot give completely reliable predictions when simulating the condensation heat transfer characteristics inside the C-type tubes.

Hyperhomocysteinemia (HHcy) leads to several clinical manifestations including hepatic fibrosis. Excess deposition of extracellular matrix (ECM) components including collagen is the eponymous lesion of liver fibrosis. In this study, we demonstrated that elevated concentration of Hcy induced the expression of collagen type I in cultured human liver cells as well as in liver tissue of HHcy mice. Meanwhile, Hcy inhibited the expression of histone methyltransferase G9a. Mechanistically, silencing endogenous G9a by siRNA enhanced the promoter activity of COL1A1 in LO2 cells. Conversely, overexpressing G9a inhibited the promoter activity of COL1A1. CHIP assay demonstrated that G9a binds to the neuron-restrictive silencer element (NRSE) on the promoter of COL1A1. Hcy treatment decreased the binding of G9a on NRSE, which in turn decreased the level of H3K9me2 on the promoter of COL1A1, led to upregulation of COL1A1. Taken together, these results provide a novel mechanism on explaining how HHcy promotes ECM production.
