Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a progressive lung disease with limited treatment options. Despite endothelial cells (ECs) comprising 30% of the lung cellular composition, the role of EC dysfunction in pulmonary fibrosis (PF) remains unclear. We hypothesize that sterol regulatory element-binding protein 2 (SREBP2) plays a critical role in the pathogenesis of PF via EC phenotypic modifications. Transcriptome data demonstrate that SREBP2 overexpression in ECs led to the induction of the TGF, Wnt, and cytoskeleton remodeling gene ontology pathways and the increased expression of mesenchymal genes, such as snail family transcriptional repressor 1 (snai1), α-smooth muscle actin, vimentin, and neural cadherin. Furthermore, SREBP2 directly bound to the promoter regions and transactivated these mesenchymal genes. This transcriptomic change was associated with an epigenetic and phenotypic switch in ECs, leading to increased proliferation, stress fiber formation, and ECM deposition. Mice with endothelial-specific transgenic overexpression of SREBP2 (EC-SREBP2[N]-Tg mice) that were administered bleomycin to induce PF demonstrated exacerbated vascular remodeling and increased mesenchymal transition in the lung. SREBP2 was also found to be markedly increased in lung specimens from patients with IPF. These results suggest that SREBP2, induced by lung injury, can exacerbate PF in rodent models and in human patients with IPF.

Based on the background of high quality development of manufacturing enterprises, this article analyzes the significant impact of digital economy on manufacturing industry, and explores the construction of digital maturity evaluation system in line with the current development status of manufacturing industry. The capability maturity evaluation of digital transformation of manufacturing industry in Yangtze River Delta based on service-oriented distributed application framework is proposed. By determining the construction ideas and principles of the evaluation index system of manufacturing digitization maturity, this article studies the evaluation index system of manufacturing digitization from four first-level indexes including digitization strategy, digitization infrastructure, digitization operation and digitization performance, ten second-level indexes including digitization emphasis, and 27 third-level indexes including the level setting of digitization management positions, and it proposed to carry out the digital maturity evaluation of manufacturing enterprises. This article conducts a survey on 183 manufacturing industries in the Yangtze River Delta region, analyzes the current situation of enterprises’ digital transformation, and explores the influence mechanism of enterprises’ digital level on regional integration development. The results show that most of the manufacturing enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta have strong desire to transform but still face many difficulties. Enterprises’ emphasis on digital transformation and application ability of digital technology significantly affect the development of regional integration.

In the new era, the national high-tech industrial development Zone is a powerful platform for implementing the innovation-driven development strategy and promoting China’s high-level development. An empirical study of panel data from 285 county-level cities in China during 2001-2022 was conducted using the binary difference method. The results show that high-tech enterprises have a noticeable promoting effect on improving the quantity of industrial structure. The transformation and upgrading of our industrial design by high-tech enterprises have significant cyclical heterogeneity. It has significantly enhanced the industrial system compared with the “growth type” and “mature type” national high-tech development zones. There is no apparent regional difference in the quality effect of high-tech enterprises on industrial structure upgrading. Still, there is an evident regional difference in the quantity and rationality of industrial structure height.

ObjectiveTo provide scientific evidence for disease prevention and control， the epidemiological characteristics of foodborne disease in Hangzhou City were studied.MethodsData on foodborne diseases in 60 surveillance hospitals in Hangzhou were collected from 2012 to 2020. Epidemiological and pathogenic characteristics of these surveillance data were analyzed.ResultsA total of 54 479 cases of foodborne disease were reported in Hangzhou from 2012 to 2020， and most cases （67.83%，36 954/54 479） appeared from May to October. Adults 26 to 35 years old （21.78%，11 865/54 479） and children ≤5 years old （17.08%，9 307/54 479） were more vulnerable to foodborne disease. Among different occupational groups， the proportion of farmers was the highest， followed by official staff and nursery children. A total of 41 905 samples were collected， and 3 380 strains of pathogens were isolated. The positive rate of Norovirus was the highest （8.77%，734/8 370）， followed by Vibrio parahaemolyticus （2.68%，1 097/40 914）， Diarrheogenic Escherichia.coli （2.39%，527/22 012）， Salmonella （2.38%，978/41 052）， and Shigella （0.11%，44/41 046）. The Norovirus positive rate peak was observed in March and November， whereas that of Vibrio parahaemolyticus was in August.ConclusionThe incidence of foodborne diseases in Hangzhou City has noticeable seasonal and population distribution characteristics. The monitoring of foodborne pathogens and the suspicious food investigation of foodborne disease cases should be strengthened to provide technical support for effective prevention and control.

One aspect of the work that the missionaries did in China that has received little attention is the teaching of the blind to read, in particular to read music. Amy Wilkinson is particularly interesting because in 1922, she brought her Chinese Blind Boys Band to England and they toured all over the country giving concerts. The concerts were widely reported in the local press, and so we have quite detailed positive accounts of how well the band played. Any scepticism about what the standard of performance might have been like can be quelled by reading these accounts. What this book attempts to do is understand how these early pioneers developed systems to enable the blind Chinese to read in Chinese, with first the use of embossed letters and then Braille. They then went on to teach music notation with embossed systems and then later Braille music notation. There are considerable technical difficulties for blind people to read Braille music notation, and these must have been made more challenging teaching blind Chinese boys Western instruments and music that required an understanding of Western harmony and rhythm. Amy Wilkinson’s achievements in this field deserve wider recognition than they have so far received.

In agricultural services, logistics around agricultural products has been the focus of academic attention. To implement efficient and safe logistics of agricultural products and optimize logistics' overall efficiency and investment cost. This paper describes in detail the routing algorithm based on logical Petri nets, proposes a research system for agricultural product logistics based on the routing algorithm, and analyses system operation results through simulation experiments. The specific conclusions are as follows: (1) The logistics information modeling software based on logical Petri net is established, and the LPN model of the logistics information set is built based on it. (2) It is proposed that the server computer acts as a cloud service platform. The independent computer represents the traditional logistics information retrieval model, and the computational efficiency has been significantly improved. (3) The use of server computers to obtain logistics information in 300-400ms and the use of stand-alone computers to obtain logistics information in 50-120ms, the use of server computers to obtain logistics information is more efficient than using stand-alone computers. (4) Logistics data is a fast-growing trend; stand-alone computers cannot store massive data.

ObjectiveTo evaluate potential health risk and the dietary exposure of aluminium in residents of Hangzhou.MethodsThe dietary exposure of aluminium in residents of Hangzhou was calculated by simple distribution assessment method based on the data of aluminium-containing additives from 2015 to 2021 in Hangzhou and the data of food consumption survey in 2015.ResultsThe average weekly and the 95 percentile （P95） exposure were 0.416 and 1.986 mg/kg·BW， which were lower than the tolerable weekly intake （PTWI， 2 mg/kg·BW） by Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives （JECFA）. Steamed stuffed buns， noodles， Chinese pastry， fried bread stick and steamed buns were the main sources of exposure， accounting for 85.9% of the total exposure. If the national food safety standard on ammonium-containing additives was strictly implemented， the exposure will reduce by 88.2% and 84.0%， respectively.ConclusionThe risk of dietary aluminium in residents of Hangzhou was low and acceptable. However， the exposure of high-consumption groups （P95） was close to PTWI， and the P95 exposure of people under 18 had exceeded PTWI which deserves attention. Measures should be taken to reduce the health risks caused by excessive aluminium exposure.
