Background With the population ages, the mental health of the elderly has become a hot topic of concern for the whole society. Previous studies have shown that mental health problems in the elderly are closely related to well-being, while personality traits have a greater impact on subjective well-being. However, the internal relationship between the two in the elderly population is still unclear. Objective To explore the relationship between subjective well-being and personality traits of the elderly. Methods From July to August 2022, 511 elderly people in Lincun, Tangxia Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province were selected as the subjects by using cluster sampling method, conduct a site survey by using the questionnaire survey. The subjective well-being and personality traits of the elderly were evaluated by the Memorial University of Newfoundland Scale of Happiness (MUNSH) and the China Big Five Personality Scale (CBF-PI-15) respectively. Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between subjective well-being and personality traits of the elderly, canonical correlation analysis was used to construct a standardized canonical correlation model, canonical structure analysis, and canonical redundancy analysis. Results The total score of MUNSH in the elderly was (39.72±7.74) , and the scores of MUNSH in each dimension were positive experience (9.48±3.24) , positive emotion (8.61±2.24) , negative experience (1.44±2.31) , and negative emotion (0.93±1.80) from high to low. The scores of CBF-PI-15 in each dimension of the elderly were agreeableness (14.04±2.60) , extroversion (11.77±4.05) , conscientiousness (10.75±3.57) , openness (7.20±3.90) and neuroticism (6.34±3.22) . Background The reported outcome level of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) has received attention. There are few mature outcome scales with Chinese cultural characteristics for patients with IBD, and the developed scales need strict evaluation. Objective To analyze and evaluate the measurement properties of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Patient-Reported Outcome Measurement Scale〔PROISCD-IBD (V1.0) 〕, to provide basis for scientific evaluation of reported outcomes in patients with IBD. Methods From October 2020 to January 2022, PROISCD-IBD (V1.0) was used to detect 274 IBD patients who were treated in the Outpatient and Inpatient Departments of Gastroenterology in the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University and the Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University. PROISCD IBD (V1.0) consisted of 1 commonality module and 1 IBD specific module (TIBD) . The commonality module had 30 items, which were divided into 4 domains of physical health (PHD) , mental health (MHD) , social health (SHD) , and spiritual/belief health (SBD) . TIBD covered four aspects of digestive system symptoms (DSS) , extraintestinal symptom (EXS) , special psychological symptoms (SPP) , and treatment side effects (TSE) . Cronbach's α coefficient and split-half coefficient were used to test the reliability. Correlation coefficient method, exploratory factor analysis and structural equation model were used to analyze the structural validity. Clinical validity of each domain was analyzed using t test. Results The Cronbach's α coefficients of PHD, MHD, SHD, SBD and TIBD of PROISCD-IBD (V1.0) were 0.732, 0.838, 0.781, 0.673 and 0.884, respectively. Cronbach's α coefficient of total scale was 0.932. The half-score coefficients of PHD, MHD, SHD, SBD and TIBD were 0.669, 0.859, 0.610, 0.494 and 0.795, respectively, and the half-score reliability of the total scale was 0.879. Background The quality of life of patients with nephrotic syndrome requires a lot of focus, and improvements. A relevant scale can be used to measure it, but there is no nephrotic syndrome-specific quality of scale. Objective To develop a Quality of Life Instruments for Chronic Diseases-Nephrotic Syndrome〔QLICD-NS (V2.0) 〕 combined with QLICD-GM (V2.0), then verify it using the classical test theory. Methods From 2017 to 2021, an item pool was established according to literature review and the results of a semi-structured questionnaire, then the items were screened in accordance with a pre-test and importance score rated by physicians and patients, after that, the draft of the QLICD-NS (V2.0) was developed. The draft version was tested using onsite interview and questionnaire survey in nephrotic syndrome patients treated in Department of Nephrology, the Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University from March to November 2021. The first measurement was conducted on the day of admission, the second measurement was conducted with some of the patients, and the third measurement was conducted on the day of discharge. The coefficient of variation, correlation coefficient and Cronbach's α, factor analysis and classical test theory were used to evaluate QLICD-NS (V2.0) . Results The QLICD-NS (V2.0) contains 15 items, belonging to three domains of clinical symptoms, adverse drug reactions and psychological effects. The Cronbach's α measuring the split-half reliability was greater than 0.7 for the scale and each of the three domains. With the Chinese version of SF-36 as the calibration standard, the domains of the QLICD-NS (V2.0) were highly correlated with their counterpart domains of the Chinese version of SF-36. The standardized response mean was greater than 0.80 for all domains and items (except for the cognition and social support items), indicating that the responsiveness of the QLICD-NS (V2.0) was good. Conclusion The QLICD-NS (V2.0) compiled by us includes 15 items, and has proven with good reliability, validity and responsiveness.

Scale assessment for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) has been widely implemented in clinical practice, how to choose an appropriate assessment tool is very important. In view of this, we used literature research methodology to search patient-reported outcomes and disease-specific health-related quality of life instruments for IBS, summarized their main contents and psychometric properties, then put forward recommendations on the selection of the instruments. A total of 37 commonly used instruments for IBS were retrieved, which have proven to have good reliability, validity and responsiveness, and can be better applied in clinical practice. We suggest medical professionals and researchers choose an assessment instrument for IBS according to the purpose and content of their research.

ObjectiveTo analyze the quality of life and related factors in patients with depression， and to provide evidence for formulating the corresponding measures to improve the patients' quality of life.MethodsA total of 117 inpatients who met the International Classification of Diseases， tenth edition（ICD-10） for depression were selected in Central People's Hospital of Zhanjiang， Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University and Guangdong 999 Brain Hospital from November 19， 2018 to September 7， 2019. The values of patients' clinical objective indicators consisted of routine blood test， routine urine examination， blood biochemical tests and blood gas analysis were collected by reviewing their medical records， and all subjects were assessed using Quality of Life Instruments for Chronic Diseases-Depression V2.0 ［QLICD-DE（V2.0）］. Simple correlation analysis was used to explore the correlation between the QLICD-DE （V2.0） scores and various clinical objective indicators， and multiple linear regression was adopted to further screen factors affecting quality of life of patients with depression.ResultsSimple correlation analysis suggested that QLICD-DE （V2.0） total score was positively correlated with total protein and platelet distribution width in patients with depression （r=0.198， 0.281， P

The minimal clinically important difference (MCID) is an important concept with big appeal in a field struggling to interpret quality of life (QOL) and other patient-reported outcomes (PRO), is also a bridge between statistics and clinical medicine. This study uses the ROC curve to formulate the MCID value of the Quality of Life Instruments for Chronic Diseases of Systemic lupus erythematosus (QLICD-SLE V2.0) scale. Using the representative item "In general, would you say your health is" of the MOS item short form health survey(SF-36) as an anchor, the questionnaire of QLICD-SLE V2.0 and the anchor item were used to investigate the patients on the first day of hospitalization, and the day before the patient was discharged. 279 patients with lupus erythematosus were participated in this longitudinal follow-up study. The ROC curve was constructed by using the classification based on the anchor item as the gold standard and the difference score of the scale as the test variable. The cut-off point corresponding to the maximum value of the Youden index in the ROC curve is taken as the minimum clinical importance difference (MCID) value of the QLICD-SLE (V2.0) scale. The Results showed that the MCID of physical domain, psychological domain, social domain, general module, specific module and QLICD-SLE (V2.0) total scale are 8.3, 2.3, 2.5, 2.7, 9.2 and 3.2, respectively. Area under the ROC curve of QLICD-SLE (V2.0) is 0.898, P (Area = 0.5) < 0.001, the sensitivity is 100%, the specificity is 66.9%. It concluded that if the total scores after treatments changes at least 3.2 points positively, the treatment intervention can be considered as clinically significant. Rheumatoid Arthritis is a more serious threatening to people and suitable for QOL measurement. A few specific QOL instruments are available without considering Chinese culture. The present study was aimed to develop and validate the Rheumatoid Arthritis Scale among the System of Quality of Life Instruments for Chronic Diseases (QLICD-RA V2.0). The data collected from 379 patients with RA was used to evaluate the psychometric properties of the scale. The reliability was evaluated by the internal consistency Cronbach's α, test–retest reliability Pearson correlation r and intra-class correlation (ICC). We evaluated the construct validity and criteria-related validity by correlation analysis and structural equation modeling. We compared the differences in scores of QLICD-RA before and after treatment and used the Standard Response Mean (SRM) to assess the responsiveness. The results showed that the internal consistency coefficient Cronbach's α values were greater than 0.70. The correlations r and ICCs were greater than 0.80. The correlation analysis and structural equation modeling confirmed good construct validity and criterion-related validity. The SRM ranges from 0.07 to 0.27 for significant domains/facets. It concluded that QLICD-RA (2.0) is a reliable and valid instrument to measure QOL among patients with RA. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
