The purpose of this paper is to consider role of branding agricultural products in better market valorization. The benefit of branding is especially significant for rural and insufficiently developed environment. The problems of rural environments are multidimensional, but revitalization and improvement of development leads to strengthening competitiveness of these areas. The higher price of products enables the increase of income of agricultural workers, as well as diversification of the rural economy and creation of conditions of better socioeconomic aspects in rural environments. Creation of a more desirable image of an agricultural product most often has a strong reflection on the area of origin, as well as on reformation of the social attitude towards that environment. Branded products and services have a higher market value, due to which legal aspects enabling not only branding, but maintenance of a brand as well, are of special significance.

By borrowing on the financial market, local self-government units in the Republic of Serbia can finance their own needs. It is up to the local self-governments to decide whether to opt for financing through credit borrowing or through the issue of municipal bonds. The subject of this paper is the analysis of the conditions and purpose for which cities, municipalities and local governments in Serbia and in the countries of the region issued municipal bonds. In this regard, the basic characteristics of the analyzed emissions are emphasized, relying on the normative framework of each country individually. The paper points out the basic specifics of municipal bonds.. The aim of this paper is to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the issue of these bonds in relation to credit borrowing as a possible type of financing.

The challenges of sustainable development and corporate social responsibility are critically discussed through the current concept of unsustainable development of the economy and society, numerous manifestations of such development, as well as the causes and consequences of this phenomenon. Indicators of unsustainable development were analyzed, in particular: problems of global poverty, problems of ecology, climate change, energy, disease and lack of education. Changes in the direction of a new trajectory of development are necessary, i.e. action directed towards a new development paradigm. This requires a greater role of science, especially economic science. The new concept of the economy implies new patterns of behavior in terms of ecological business and green economy. A new paradigm of development, a new strategy for the development of the economy and society is necessary because the current concept of growth and development has led to a series of negative effects on the natural environment, society and people. There are many forms of manifestation of unsustainable development: the problem of global poverty and hunger, problems of ecology, climate change and energy. The basic message is that humanity faces great challenges and that it is necessary to move from unsustainable development to sustainable development of the economy and society, where corporate social responsibility plays a key role. Sustainable development is a way of thinking, i.e. observation of the world, which we must change for the sake of the present and the future. In order to achieve this, synchronized actions are needed at the local (national) and global (world) level in order to find solutions, where large multinational economic systems must play a special role.

Cooperatives represent relevant and significant economic subjects of associations that promote the interests of their members and work affirmatively to improve their position. Since the digital economy is developing expansively, and new forms of digital technology are changing economic and other interactions every day, cooperatives must keep up with such processes. The authors of the paper analyze the legislative framework for issuing digital tokens in the Republic of Serbia, especially from the aspect of the legal subjectivity of the issuer of this form of digital property. The purpose of the research is to indicate the legislative framework and economic possibilities of issuing digital tokens by cooperatives in the Republic of Serbia. The methodological approach is based on the theoretical analysis of nationally relevant regulations that enable cooperatives to be issuers of digital tokens, while the empirical research shows and analyzes the current practice of issuing digital tokens.

In the history of human civilization, there has always been the problem of overindebtedness and personal bankruptcy, as well as the tendency to protect such persons to some extent from excessive sanctions or the consequences of their insolvency. Benevolence towards the debtor is limited by the existence of conditions of conscientiousness and honesty of the debtor in all legal systems, while the amount of debt forgiveness is different. Debt relief and providing a new chance to the entrepreneur is a kind of systemic social measure that should ensure the employment of the individual and his family, but also to ensure the continuity of the capitalist system. It is noticeable that benevolence towards the debtor through debt relief was a characteristic of the Anglo-Saxon jurisdictions, while the regulations of the states of legal systems based on Roman law were traditionally oriented in the opposite direction. Although the Republic of Serbia has regulated the matter of bankruptcy and reorganization, in many parts under the EU Directive on reorganization and bankruptcy from June 2019, it has not been the case with the area of the second chance for the entrepreneur and the possibility of debt release, so it will be necessary to adjust national regulations of bankruptcy. In this paper, the authors analyze the origin of debt forgiveness in case of entrepreneur bankruptcy through history and theories, and select the comparative law and provisions of the EU Directive on reorganization and bankruptcy which regulate the second chance for entrepreneurs, as well as the purpose and measures that preceded the adoption of this Directive. Another important possibility for insolvent entrepreneurs is their personal administration with bankruptcy estate during the process of reorganization. Entrepreneurs' personal administration is regulated by bankruptcy legislation in various ways in comparative legal systems, and in Serbian law, it had been regulated for the first time by the Bankruptcy Procedure Act of 2004, but repealed by the Bankruptcy Act in 2009. Taking into account its importance for the national bankruptcy law, Serbian legal theory has already given the reasons due to which it is necessary to reintroduce the institute of personal administration of debtors into domestic bankruptcy law. On the other hand, sole debt release in Serbian law comes into effect at the moment the creditor declares to the debtor that he will not ask for the fulfillment of the debt and the debtor agrees with that, and such an agreement is made in writing. Debt release is a possibility provided in the Agreed Financial Restructuring Act 2015 that creditor and debtor may use during the process of reorganization, provided they reach an agreement to that end.

Exchange of the drought and precipitations due to climate changes is preventing higher agrarian output. Although modern technology and methods of farm production may be the answer to this question, these raise public concerns about employment and environment quality. Because of demographic and technological lagging, some countries face other problems of achieving agronomic sustainability. In this paper, the importance of sustainable agriculture development, legal bases and some aspects of agricultural social responsibility are explored. Comparative and logical deduction methods of reviewing the selected international and national documents and literature were employed. Authors conclude there are adequate legal frameworks for agricultural social responsibility and the discussion if agriculture's moral priorities affect its economic performance will never end.

Capital structure refers to the combination of debt and equity that the company uses to finance overall operations and growth. One of the most common problems of small enterprises is difficult access to various sources of financing, which is certainly reflected in their capital structure. Deciding on capital structure is one of the most important activities in the company, given that it significantly determines the performance of the company, but also the competitiveness and sustainability of the business. The aim of the study was to investigate whether there is a significant difference in financial performance between enterprises belonging to different leverage levels. Financial leverage was calculated by dividing total debts to total assets and based on leverage the companies are divided into 3 groups. Using ANOVA analysis, we found that the only difference in financial performance indicators was observed with NPM (but with a small effect size: eta square = 0.0470), whereas no statistically significant difference was observed between the groups in the ROE and ROA indicators.

Economic transition is not a one-dimensional process but implies ownership, structural and management transformation. We can call the current circumstances of the economy of the Republic of Serbia posttransitional, for which the ownership transformation is largely due. The aforementioned process is the basis for the formation of a corporate sector in which all the most important determinants of professional management are expressed, since the capital market represents the greatest distance between ownership and management. The structure of corporate ownership determines the nature of the relationship between managers and shareholders, which in the final instance manifests in the form of principal - principal or principal - agent of the situation. The paper will analyse the nature of the ownership structure of corporations, according to one of the usual three dimensions (concentration of ownership), in relation to the corporate performance. The corporate performance will be expressed using the Tobin's Q indicators. The structure of ownership of the corporation will be presented using two sets of indicators. The first group consists of indicators of percentage participation of a number of major shareholders in the form of Top_1, Top_2, Top_3 and Top_5. Another approach to property ownership analysis includes G1 (widely held) indicators that represent dispersed -owned corporations, G2 corporations with large shareholders, and G3 (ultimate owner) majority-owned corporations. In the random sample will be selected corporations that have a listing on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, while at the level of parametric statistical procedures, methods will be used for analysingthe correlation between the listed variables and identifying the differences between the groups formed on the basis of the above mentioned criterion. The main objective of the paper is to define the ownership structure of a corporation that has direct implications for the management and performance of corporations. Corporate performance expressed through market capitalization determines the future of operations through the scope of future investments.

Rapid development, innovations and the blend of different technologies have brought about the development of new IT-communication products. Cloud computing, the Internet of things, mobile devices, telematics etc. are only some of the products of modern technology that provide swift and highly efficient data processing. The possibility of free access to the Internet and cheaper technology for the determination of geographical position contribute to the development of an unlimited number of smartphone applications for use in telematics. Simultaneously, IT communication makes a decisive impact on improving the way in which society and businesses operate. In this paper, we examine the general significance of telematics, its notion, history and the advantages it brings to insurer operations in the motor third-party liability (MTPL) and a few other insurance types. Statistical data about the telematics market, the conditions for the provision of telematics services and some other resources were used in this paper.

Mediation is still one of the lesser known ways of resolving disputes in our country. The use of mediation enables parties in the dispute to exercise their right to access to justice in a faster, more efficient and cheaper way. Mediation reduces the number of court cases, relieving the judiciary, reducing time limits in judicial processes and increasing confidence in the justice system. Mediation is a voluntary, informal, "private" process in which the public is excluded and in which the parties to the dispute have the main role in the way of its implementation and the ability to influence its course and outcome. It is estimated that through application of mediation parties in dispute save 50-95% of the money that would be spent in litigation (shorter duration, lower expenses for attorneys' fees, court fees, and no expertise reports).
