The use of heat pump technology to recover the waste heat of circulating water from the power plant instead of steam extraction for heating can not only improve the thermal efficiency of the unit and reduce the loss of cold source, but also has great advantages in energy saving. This paper uses absorption and compression heat pumps to recover the waste heat of circulating water in the power plant to study its energy-saving benefits. Under the same heating load, the economics of the two heat pumps are calculated and analyzed. The results show that the energy-saving benefits of absorption heat pump units are far greater than compression units. But in terms of water saving, the water saving capacity of the compression heat pump unit is higher than that of the absorption heat pump.

This paper studies carbon capture and storage based on carbon emission. There are three main technical routes for CO2 emission reduction: pre-combustion capture, oxygen-rich combustion, and post-combustion capture; CO2 separation technology mainly includes: chemical absorption method, solid adsorption method, membrane separation method. CO2 capture needs to be transported to a special place for storage, which can be generally divided into geological storage, marine storage and chemical storage. Future carbon capture research will focus on cost savings and energy savings.

The aim of this study was to examine the association between molecular subtype (MST) and prognosis and research the postmastectomy radiotherapy (PMRT) effect in T1-T2 tumors with 1-3 positive axillary lymph nodes (ALNs). This retrospective study studied breast cancer patients with T1-T2 tumors and 1-3 positive ALNs according to MST: Luminal A, Luminal B, human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (Her-2) positive, and Triple negative. The impact of adjuvant PMRT in T1-T2 tumors with 1-3 positive ALNs was also assessed. This study included 1369 patients: 33.0 % Luminal A, 42.9 % Luminal B, 11.9 % Her-2 positive, and 12.2 % Triple negative. On univariate and multivariate analyses, MST was associated with locoregional relapse (LRR). Kaplan-Meier analysis showed that PMRT significantly decreased LRR risk ( p = 0.017) and distant metastasis (DM) risk ( p < 0.0001). In subgroup analysis, PMRT showed significant benefits of improvement in LRR in patients with younger age, positive lymphovascular invasion (LVI), and ratio of positive lymph nodes (LNs) >25 %. Moreover, the nomogram could more accurately predict LRR (c-index 0.75) in T1-2N1 breast cancer patients. MST associated with patient outcomes in breast cancer patients with T1-T2 tumors and 1-3 positive ALN. C5a receptor 1 (C5aR1) is associated with various inflammatory processes, the pathogenesis of immune diseases, and tumor growth. However, its role in the tumor microenvironment of gastric cancer (GC) remains unclear. In this study, the expression of C5aR1 in GC and normal gastric mucosa tissues was compared using data retrieved from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) and The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) databases, and the results were validated by in vitro qRT-PCR and immunohistochemical analyses. The relationship between C5aR1 expression and the overall survival of patients with GC was analyzed using the Kaplan-Meier method. Subsequently, enrichment analysis was performed, and the signaling pathways were screened. C5aR1 expression was also correlated with genes related to the immune checkpoint and immune cell infiltration. The results revealed that C5aR1 expression was enhanced in GC tissues compared to normal gastric tissues, and that patients with high expression of C5aR1 had a worse 10-year overall survival compared to those showing low expression of C5aR1. Functional analysis revealed that C5aR1 is a gene related to theimmune system and may play a crucial role in inflammatory and tumor immune responses. Additionally, C5aR1 showed a positive correlation with most immune checkpoint-related genes and a negative correlation with natural killer cells, dendritic cells, and CD8+ T cells. Immune evasion risk was observed to be significantly greater in patients with higher expression of C5aR1 than in those with lower expression. The results of this study reveal that C5aR1 shapes a non-inflammatory tumor microenvironment in GC and mediates immune evasion.

Background: The accurate diagnosis of sarcoma can be difficult as there are over 70 different subtypes. While molecular profiling in soft tissue sarcoma (STS) has gradually been incorporated into routine diagnostics, conventional methods such as fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), reverse transcriptase-PCR (RT-PCR), and Sanger sequencing have several drawbacks. By allowing simultaneous analysis of multiple targets and increasing sequencing depth to achieve ultra-sensitivity, next-generation sequencing (NGS) can not only detect common genetic abnormalities without prior assumptions but also identify uncommon or even new variants., Methods: In this study, the applicability of NGS in assessing STS using the Ion Torrent Proton was evaluated and compared with other methods. A cohort of 35 tissue specimens from STS patients, including alveolar soft-part sarcoma (ASPS), Ewing's sarcoma (ES), synovial sarcoma (SS), dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP), and myxoid liposarcoma (MLPS) patients, were subjected to NGS by an Ion AmpliSeqTM Custom panel., Results: A proportion of 97.14% (34/35) were successfully conducted to detect gene fusion positive events and met all criteria for good quality. The concordance between NGS and conventional techniques was 94.12% (32/34). Having previously demonstrated the co-expression status of the Lin28A and androgen receptor (AR) in ER-/Her2+ breast cancer, we tested the hypothesis that Lin28A can activate AR and promotes growth of ER-/Her2+ breast cancer. The expression of Lin28A and AR were examined after Lin28A siRNA and Lin28A plasmid were transfected into ER-/Her2+ breast cancer cells. Chromatin immune-precipitation (ChIP) analysis and Luciferase Assays were used to evaluate the effect of Lin28A and c-myc on AR promoter activity. MTT assays, Boyden chamber invasion assays, colony formation assays and flow cytometry analysis were performed. ER-/Her2+ breast cancer cells which transfected with Lin28A siRNAs and Lin28A plasmid were injected into nude mice, and tumorigenesis was monitored. Our data showed that Lin28A can induced AR expression in ER-/Her2+ breast cancer cells. ChIP analysis showed that Lin28A stimulates the recruitment of c-Myc to the promoter of the AR gene. Lin28A enhanced growth ability, colonies ability, cells proliferation activities, invasive ability and inhibited cells apoptosis of ER-/Her2+ breast cancer cells. Lin28A high expression cells exhibited significantly higher tumorigenic ability in vivo. Our study demonstrates that Lin28A can activates androgen receptor via regulation of c-myc and promotes malignancy of ER-/Her2+ breast cancer. Our findings underline a novel role for Lin28A in breast cancer development and activation of the AR axis.
