The Gd-doped ZnO/SnO2 nanocomposites with various atomic percentages (0, 0.5, 0.8, and 1.2 at%) of gadolinium (coded as GdZS0, GdZS1, GdZS2, and GdZS3) was synthesis via the sol–gel method and explored for photodegradation against dye solutions exposing solar light irradiation. The synthesized nanocomposites were characterized employing the XRD, FTIR, FE-SEM, Raman spectroscopy, BET analysis and UV–Vis spectrophotometer. The FE-SEM results indicated that the formation of nanoparticles to nanoflowers covered with Gd ions was observed with an increased doping concentration of Gd. The optical bandgap was evaluated and found in the range of 3.21–3.27 eV for GdZS nanocomposites. The GdZS nano-photocatalysts were investigated against the degradation of different organic dyes and GdZS3 shows the highest degradation efficiencies of 99.3%, 98.3% and 99.4% towards MO, MB and RhB dyes, respectively at neutral pH in aqueous media. Before and after photodegradation. Biological oxygen demand and chemical oxygen demand tests to make estimations of mineralization. The investigations are very promising for the degradation process in rare earth doped metal oxide nanocomposites. In this study, we synthesized Co3O4 thin films using a sol–gel spin coating method and investigated the effect of heat treatment on their carbon dioxide (CO2) gas sensing properties. To optimize their crystallinity and enhance their CO2 sensitivity, the thin films were annealed at temperatures ranging from 400∘C to 550∘C. We characterized the morphological, structural, electrical, and optical properties of the Co3O4 thin films to gain insights into their behavior in the low operating temperature range (OTR). Our X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed that all the thin films exhibited a cubic structure, with improved crystallinity observed at higher annealing temperatures. We observed a decrease in band edges in the optical transmittance spectra of the thin films as the annealing temperature increased, indicating a redshift in the absorption edge. Notably, the highest electrical conductivity was observed for the sample annealed at 550∘C, suggesting enhanced crystallinity and improved CO2 gas sensitivity. This paper is an attempt to find out application of red mud in controlling electromagnetic pollution. Composite of PoT/RM has been prepared by in-situ chemical oxidative polymerization and has been tested for electromagnetic shielding effectiveness. Red mud here acted as a filler material. The incorporation of 50 wt% red mud in the polymer matrix results in a shielding effectiveness of 8.9 dB in 8.2 to 12.4 GHz frequency range (X-band). Furthermore, the structural analysis, morphology, and magnetization have been studied using XRD, TEM, and VSM techniques, respectively. TEM image of the composite shows the distribution of red mud particles in the polymer matrix. The magnetization decreases on incorporation of red mud in the polymer matrix. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In sequence to permit electronic gadgets to coexist without maleficent electromagnetic interference (EMI) it is essential to evolve new absorbing and shielding materials with good performance. These technological fields demand not only efficient shields but also materials that meet specific criteria for each engineered design. For example chemical and corrosion resistance, lightweight, flexibility, tunable morphology, processing easiness and inexpensiveness are required. The concerned work present BF/EG composite was appreciated for these applications. The Microwave absorption characteristic were find out in the frequency range 8–12 GHz. Photovoltaic (PV) systems are regarded as clean and sustainable energy sources and exhibit minimal pollution during their lifetime. The production of hazardous contaminants contaminating water resources, emissions of air pollutants during the manufacturing process, and the impact of PV installations on land use are important environmental factors to consider. The present study aimed to synthesise the F-doped Titanium dioxide (TiO2) thin films on a glass substrate employing spin coating followed by the sol-gel process ETL application purpose. Fluorine-doped TiO2 thin films were prepared using the sol-gel spin coating technique. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) results confirmed that the most intense peak was observed at 25.37° corresponding to the crystallographic plane (101) for anatase TiO2. The average transparency of TiO2 was increased by adding the doping level of fluorine and increment in the optical bandgap. The thickness of the thin film was kept at about 300 nm. The resistance of nanocrystalline thin films of different F doped TiO2 was decreased from 1.322×1012 O, 9.728×1011 O, as the F doping concentration was increased from pristine to 7 at. %. Based on electrical measurements, it was observed that a suitable electron transport layer (ETL) of F-doped TiO2 can be synthesized for photovoltaic applications. The present study offers a synthesis and analysis of F-doped TiO2 that can be used to improve the sustainability of PV manufacturing processes, improve its economic value, and mitigate its negative impact on the environment. Over the last decade, treatment paradigms for breast cancer have undergone a renaissance, particularly in hormone-receptor-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer. These revolutionary therapies are based on the selective targeting of aberrancies within the cell cycle. This shift towards targeted therapies has also changed the landscape of disease monitoring. In this article, we will review the fundamentals of cell cycle progression in the context of the new cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors. In addition to discussing the currently approved cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors for breast cancer, we will explore the ongoing development and search for predictive biomarkers and modalities to monitor treatment.

Introduction: Anemia continues to be a major public health problem worldwide, particularly among females of reproductive age in developing country settings. The prevalence of anemia in South Asia is among the highest in the world, mirroring overall high rates of malnutrition., Objective: 1) To estimate the prevalence of anemia and undernutrition among reproductive age group females. 2) To study factors associated with anemia and undernutrition among reproductive age group females., Material and Method: This was cross-sectional study, which was carried out from June 2011 to December 2012 at Nanded City in Maharashtra state among nonpregnant ever-married women of 15-49 years age with a sample size of 750 selected using probability proportional to size sampling technique. Percentage, Chi-square test, analysis of variance (ANOVA) test, and Student's t test were used for analyzing the data., Results: The prevalence of anemia among reproductive age group women was 554 (73.9%). 20.8% of women were undernourished and 4.1% were obese. There was a significant difference in the hemoglobin percentage of study subjects in relation to their age at marriage, weight, and body mass index (BMI). Mean BMI increases significantly as the age of women and duration of marriage increases., Conclusion: Nutritional status has a significant effect on the grade of anemia. In the present study, the excellent photocatalytic activity of n-ZnO/n-SnO 2 heterojunction integrated with reduced graphene oxide nanosheets was explored towards the elimination of different organic pollutants viz. p-bromophenol, bisphenol A, and ofloxacin from water. n-ZnO/n-SnO 2 heterojunction was decorated with a different weight percentage of reduced graphene oxide via a facile refluxing method. The structural, morphological and optical properties of the as-prepared n-ZnO/n-SnO 2 heterojunction-reduced graphene oxide nanocomposites were investigated systematically. XRD, Raman and FT-IR confirmed the hexagonal wurtzite and tetragonal rutile structures of ZnO and SnO 2 crystals in different nanocomposites. Cube and spherical-shaped surface structures were demonstrated by TEM and FE-SEM analysis for ZnO and SnO 2 , respectively. The maximum photocatalytic productivity of nanocomposite with 5 wt% reduced graphene oxide was observed at about 98.64 % and 98.50 % towards the elimination of p-bromophenol and bisphenol A, respectively after 180 min exposure of UV light. Similarly, this productivity was also observed at about 99.13 % towards the elimination of ofloxacin after 120 min irradiation of UV light. The outstanding photocatalytic activity of nanocomposite with 5 wt% reduced graphene oxide has been proven by the presence of homotypic n-ZnO/n-SnO 2 and reduced graphene oxide nanosheets owing to the synergistic effect amongst them resulting in remarkable separation of charge carriers, which is responsible for the larger rate of reactive oxygen species generation and enhanced photodegradation of p-bromophenol, bisphenol A and ofloxacin. In this study, the results illustrated that the photocatalytic degradation of p-bromophenol, bisphenol A and ofloxacin using n-ZnO/n-SnO 2 heterojunction-reduced graphene oxide nanocomposites is predominantly based on the hydroxyl radicals and superoxide radical anion as main reactive oxygen species as compared to 1 O 2 . The widespread existence of different organic contaminants mostly phenolic compounds, organic dyes and antibiotics in water bodies initiated by the various industrial wastes that raised great scientific concern and public awareness as well recently owing to their prospective capability to spread these contaminants resistant gene and pose hazard to human. In the present study, a series of nanostructured ZnO-CdO incorporated with reduced graphene oxide (ZCG nanocomposites) were successfully synthesized by a simple refluxing method and characterized by using the X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, FT-IR spectroscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy, field emission-scanning microscope (FE-SEM) and UV-visible diffused reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) for the photocatalytic degradation of bisphenol A (BPA), thymol blue (ThB) and ciprofloxacin (CFn) with illumination of UV light. The maximum degradation and mineralization of BPA, ThB and CFn was achieved around 98.5%, 98.38% and 99.28% over the ZCG-5 nanocomposite photocatalyst after UV light irradiation for 180 min, 120 min and 75 min, respectively. The superior photocatalytic activity of ZCG-5 ascribed to enhance adsorption capacity, effective separation of charge carriers consequential for the production of more ROS after incorporation of RGO nanosheets with ZnO-CdO in photocatalyst. The conceivable photocatalytic degradation mechanism of BPA, ThB and CFn was elucidated through ROS identification and the assessment of photocatalyst stability by reusability, EEO (kwh/m 3 order) and UV light dose (mJ/cm 2 ) were evaluated. The plausible photocatalytic degradation pathways were proposed for the degradation of BPA, ThB and CFn via GC-MS analysis. Persistent organic pollutants (mainly aromatic compounds) such as bromophenol and diethyl phthalate are dangerous and act as primary contaminants in aqueous system. In this study, efficient reduced graphene oxide zinc oxide (rGO-ZnO) nanocomposites were synthesized by using a simple and facile method for photocatalytic degradation of 4-Bromophenol (4-BP) and diethyl phthalate (DEP). The rGO-ZnO (rGZ) nanocomposites (NCs) with different weight ratio of rGO and ZnO (coded as rGZ-1, rGZ-2, rGZ-5 and rGZ-10) were synthesized via high temperature refluxing method. The crystalline structure and phase, surface morphological study, optical properties, crystal defects and existence of functional groups in rGZ NCs were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emission-scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), UV-Visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), Raman spectroscopy and FT-IR analysis, respectively. The elimination of 4-BP and DEP from water by UV-light exposure was considered to estimate the photocatalytic efficiency of prepared rGZ NCs. The maximum elimination of 4-BP and DEP via photodegradation (advanced oxidation process) was found about 99.04% and 98.63% over rGZ NCs after 180 min UV irradiation, respectively. The photodegradation study was examined by using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) technique. This study confirms the efficient photocatalytic activity of rGZ-5 towards degradation of 4-BP and DEP. Mixed oxides of zinc and cadmium with different proportions were deposited on ordinary glass substrates using the sol-gel spin coating method under optimized deposition conditions using zinc acetate dihydrate and cadmium acetate dihydrate as precursors. X-ray diffraction patterns confirmed the polycrystalline nature of the films. A combination of cubic CdO and hexagonal wurtzite ZnO phases was observed. The oxidation states of Zn, Cd and O in the deposited films were determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic studies. Surface morphology was studied by scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. The compositional analysis of the thin films was studied by secondary ion mass spectroscopy. The transmittance of the thin films was measured in the range 300-800nm and the optical bandgap was calculated using Tauc's plot method. The bandgap decreased from 3.15eV to 2.15eV with increasing CdO content. The light emission properties of the ZnO:CdO thin films were studied by photoluminescence spectra recorded at room temperature.
