Bu çalışmada poli(metil metakrilat) (PMMA) filmlerinin yüzeylerinin işlenmesi ve akıllı bir malzeme olan poli(2-(dietil amino)etil metakrilat) (PDEAEMA) ın depozisyonu radyo frekans (RF) plazmalar kullanılarak yapılmıştır. PMMA yüzeyleri argon ve azot gazları ile 40.2 MHz lik CCP (kapasitif eşlemeli plazma) sisteminde işlenmiştir. Plazma parametrelerinin polimerik malzemenin yüzeyine etkisi araştırılmıştır. Tüm deneyler 0.7 torr luk sabit basınçta farklı işleme zamanları ve farklı plazma güçlerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. İşlenmiş yüzeylerin ıslanabilirliği temas açısı ölçümleri ile araştırılmıştır. Ayrıca yüzeylerin kimyasal yapısındaki değişim X-ışınlı foto elektron spektroskopisi (XPS) ile incelenmiştir. Sonuçlar tüm plazma işlemlerinin yüzeylerin ıslanabilirliğini arttırdığını göstermiştir. Poli(2-(dietil amino)etil metakrilat) (PDEAEMA) polimer filmleri 13.56 MHz lik düzlemsel ICP (indüktif eşlemeli plazma) sistemle hem sürekli hem atımlı modda yapılmıştır. Alttaş sıcaklığının, plazma gücünün ve işlem döngüsünün polimer yüzeylerine etkisi araştırılmıştır. Kaplanan polimer filmlerinin karakterizasyonunda X-ışını Fotoelektron Spektroskopisi (XPS), Fourier Transform İnfrared Spektroskopi (FTIR), Elektron Spin Rezonans Spektroskopisi (ESR) kullanılmıştır. Plazma ortamı ise Optik Emisyon Spektroskopisi (OES) yardımıyla analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına göre a modda sentezlenen polimerlerin monomer yapısıyla benzer olduğu bulunmuştur. Ayrıca atımlı modda işlem döngüsü arttıkça kaplama hızı da artmıştır. Kaplanan filmlerin farklı pH değerli ortamlara gösterdiği tepkinin araştırılması için kopolimer filmler sentezlenmiştir. pH analizleri kaplanan polimer filmlerin asidik ve bazik çözeltilere karşı farklı davranış sergilediğini göstermiştir., In this study, surface modification of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) films and the deposition of poly(2-(diethyl amino) ethyl methacrylate) (PDEAEMA) polymer films which is a smart material were done via radio frequency (RF) plasmas. PMMA surfaces were treated with CCP (capacitevely coupled plasma) system at 40.2 MHz frequency by using argon and nitrogen gases. All the experiments were conducted with different treatment times and plasma powers while the pressure was kept constant at 0.7 torr. The wettabilitiy of treated surfaces was monitored. Moreover, the change on the chemical structure of the surfaces were monitored by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The results showed that all the treatments improved the wettability of the polymeric films. PDEAEMA films were deposited by using a planar inductively coupled plasma system at 13.56 MHz both in continuous wave and pulsed mode. The influence of substrate temperature, plasma power and duty cycle on polymer surfaces were investigated. X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), Fourier Transform Spectroscopy (FTIR), Electron Spin Resonance Spectroscopy (ESR) were used for the characterization of deposited polymer films. Also plasma enviroment was diagnosed with Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES). Analysis results showed that polymers synthesized under pulsed plasma conditions have closer resemblance to monomer structure. Besides the deposition rate increased with the duty cycle in pulsed mode experiments. Copolymer films were deposited for the investigation of behavioral responses of films to the enviroments having different pH values. The pH analysis results showed that the films have different features when they were exposed to acidic and basic solvents.

Lazer destekli mikro-imalat (mikro kaynak, delme, yüzey yapılandırma vb...) prosesinin kalitesi elektronik, havacılık- uzay ve biyomedikal endüstrileri için özel bir öneme sahiptir. Lazerin oluşturduğu plazmanın dinamikleri lazer güç yoğunluğu, ışın odak çapı ve çevre koşulları tarafından belirlenmektedir. Plazma yoğunluğunda eşik değerine ulaşıldığında plazma korumasına bağlı ışınım kayıpları sebebiyle, lazer enerjisi malzemeye aktarılamamaktadır. Bu ayrışma eşiği mikro-imalat operasyonu için kritik bir role sahiptir. Bu makale kapsamında, titanyum malzeme için plazma dinamikleri teorik ve deneysel olarak incelenmiş ve faydalı prosess enerjisinin kaybını önlemek için optimum lazer yoğunluk eşiği rapor edilmiş ve numerik çalışmalarla karşılaştırılmıştır, The quality of laser micro-machining process (micro welding, drilling, surface structuring etc…) has vital importance for electronic, aviationaerospace and biomedical industries. Dynamics of laser-induced plasma are determined with some parameters such as laser intensity, beam waist diameter and ambient gas conditions. When the plasma density is limited with a threshold value, the laser energy can not transmitted to the material due to the rarefied plasma. This decoupling threshold has a crucial role for micro-machining operation. In the scope of this paper, the behaviour of the plasma dynamics has been examined both theoretically and experimentally for titanium material and optimal laser intensity threshold was reported to prevent dissipation of beneficial process energy and to compare numerical investigations
